  1. Question answered. Thanks! LOL :slinks away: @Hells Warrrior @NaBrZHunter Craig, could we ask the dev to put titles above the sections? Like "Players Required"? Already on it, one of the first feedbacks I did this morning. You sent him my mock up photo, yeah?

  3. atleast someone thinks of us! lol @LiamFTWinter thanks for the heads up man.
  4. @RedDeadRiot @NaBrZHunter @way2g00d @Hells Warrrior Okay so I've done a little draft of how we'd like the filters to be separated. At the moment there is just one long filter list, this is not what we intend. Look below to see what it will be like: Game: Waw, BO, BO2, BO3 (with the idea that we'll add in Extinction & Exo Zombies after nailing it down) Mode: Zombies, Campaign, MP Map: Any map that is out, arranged by game, and further more chronologically (we will look into customs, might have to be it's own filter) Play Style: This will be the bread and butter of the LFG function. EE, Speed Run, High Rounds, Casual, Research, Point Building (for building up your bank bucks), etc. Back soon with more!!!! :D
  5. Alright so, quickly here to address a few things: @way2g00d in the top right of the top menu, it should say "codz lfg". On mobile, it will be on the slide out menu towards the bottom. @RedDeadRiot the LFG is like a middle man. After you find a like minded game, it's up to you to initiate contact using the little message icon (currently linked to email, but are hoping to have it link to gamertag messages as well). You could also just message the person via their gamertag. @NaBrZHunter totally get what you are saying. Need to confirm first. Back soon, guys!
  6. Ah, the evolution from a lurker to member - such a majestic and beautiful sight. welcome aboard!

ANNNNNND we still have yet to unveil our special secret form of thanks to all those that donated to the LFG cause.
  8. Why would they have a day 1 patch and not just, you know release the game with it working and not needing a patch for a while? Sorry if it seems like I am asking as if you know, its just day 1 patches kinda bug me. <cracks knuckles, and puts on professor's cap> So - when David Vondehaar tweeted that BO3 had gone gold, it was September 22nd. The game releases on November 6th. The reason why they have a day 1 patch is because it represents all the work and fine tuning they've done from Sept 23-Nov. 6. These games run along meticulously planned budgets, and schedules - from marketing, to development, to QA testing. Ever since internet connectivity arrived, this schedules are essentially more flexible because it allows devs to continue to work on games after its gone gold, and even well after the release date. As I said above, the past was quite grim on this aspect - in the sense that if you shipped a broken game, it stayed a broken game. Short answer to why they have a day 1 patch: because they are unable to work on physical copies after the game goes "gold", and they can't just sit around twiddling their thumbs - hence they continue working. Day 1 patches shouldn't bug you, if the game is up to par. You should in fact be happy for day 1 patches, because they represent an evolution in progress and quality. Not to mention ongoing, they are a form of direct rapport between gamer and studio, as often the experiences/details/reports from those who play often effect what makes it into a patch.
  9. Yeah @Lenne that was my point, games that are essentially broken without a day 1 patch are not cool, and make the whole concept of the day 1 patch seem like its a method for the devs to procrastinate. Day 1 patch is something that should be expected, but a broken game? Not so much. @Slade I couldn't even get local split screen campaign to work on MCC. What a total mess, huh? Traded that shit in for DAI like a week later.
  10. Mr. Way, I'll miss you in the staff chat. i still remember when we all played ORIGINS at like 4am when it first came out, and we were all screaming about the panzer soldat (aka the rapist). Have never laughed that hard, or been so terrified while playing zombies in all my life. @Lenne wasn't kidding though, you do look sexier in purple. This isn't goodbye, because you're not leaving. Just a new step. Thanks again for all your hard work man.
  11. was coming here to say the same thing.
  12. Having a day 1 patch is not a bad thing in this instance. The game is (presumably) well tuned, and the patch will fix any minor issues/fine polishing that they did not get to before it went gold. I agree though that games that are NOT functional without a day 1 patch (looking at you Tony Hawk) are super lame. Hell, it beats the gaming days of before Internet... when glitches were forever.
  13. retroactive brains for you on this @MysteryMachineX Some truly dedicated work, and a wealth of info here.
  14. Here's another, a great article on it from Kotaku: http://kotaku.com/call-of-duty-ditches-archaic-campaign-unlock-system-1736091999 I think that however minor it is, a step towards more freedom and player choice is a good step.
  15. Exactly. Feel free to report any and all threads, posts, and otherwise content that you may feel counts under a leak. There are some serious gray areas, and we can't be too sure about anything really. Just make sure to use the "report" button, we are really trying to deter threads being derailed by the constant topic of what is allowed vs. isn't. That's why we made this informational thread, because we haven't had an official stance in a long time. Also, henceforth (and this is just me) but I will only be using the word "leak" for true "leaks". All content that is purposely revealed/sanctioned by Activision is a form of what is known as "drip marketing", and should be considered exactly that. Basically - if you have a question about content: report it, or PM a staff... please don't post in the thread saying "this shouldn't be allowed, this is a leak".
  16. @Rissole25 every mission playable from when you boot up the game for the first time - http://charlieintel.com/2015/10/12/treyarch-says-deciding-to-unlock-the-entire-campaign-from-the-start-resembles-netflixs-episode-release/ @LiamFTWinter yeah that's what I figured, I would assume they wouldn't want to make it too easy to get the cheevo. @urbanrooster I'm hopin' with you!
  17. Given the fact that you can play any campaign mission you want (every stage is unlocked from the start) - I'm wondering if you could just pop in the game, start up the last mission, and get this cheevo/unlock done quick.

    CODZ.LFG

The CODZ LFG has been paid in full, thanks to a final $70 donation from @Boom Huge thanks to everyone involved with donating towards this cause, we've been getting specs from the developer and should be testing the LFG system itself in the coming weeks. This is truly a monumental moment for CODZ, and the start of something game-changing. Big shout to @Hells Warrrior for doing a lot of the leg work. This may have been a shared idea, but it could not have been executed without the mighty craig.
  19. LFG paid off!  Thanks @Boom for the final push!

  20. Yeah hopefully they will see that I tagged them in this post, and post here with either links or possibly their own interpretation. Regardless the folks in the post above are some of our most active and brilliant members, we should see some responses. And no problem at all - this is what CODZ is all about
  21. @Dindo Nothin there are many variations of the story on this site. Unfortunately I don't have one on hand that centrally explains everything - but what I can do is call upon the forces that be to either explain it to you, or provide a link. Hopefully one or a few of them will respond. @Rissole25 @PINNAZ @Shooter @Tac @MixMasterNut @DeathBringerZen @FatedTitan @AlphaSnake @Hells Warrrior @Boom @Slade @Tasha @Lenne - any of you fine folks have a certain thread in mind that is the best for the storyline? I know we used to use MMX's, but it's been gone awhile.
  22. @Dindo Nothin no problem man! Rule #1: The Call of Duty Zombies Wiki ALWAYS lies We at CODZ.com have been researching the story the past... oh, 7 years. One thing that is consistent is that there will always be misinformation. The Call of Duty Zombies Wiki is basically just a giant misinformation-fest. @MysteryMachineX can certainly back me up on this. The only reason the name "avogadro" exists in zombies lore is actually because of a leak pertaining to Black Ops 2. There was a leak several months before BO2 came out, and it was purporting to show all of the achievements for Green Run - one of the cheevos mentioned the "avogadro" and the community took it and ran. Lo and behold, once the game came out - there was no mention of any "avogadro". It's possible that 3arc had changed the descriptions and titles, but if you look at the achievements for Green Run - it's clear that the electric entity's name is "him": Your enthusiasm is refreshing though, welcome to CODZ and please keep asking questions. You'll do fine here.
  23. @Hells Warrrior "new content" is a beloved feature, I understand that things must change - but why can't we just keep the "new content" button as well as the activity stream? I personally don't have the time in the day to browse every forum, and I only think the most dedicated of users will actually go into their preferences and tick all the features. This could be a huge blow to easily accessing up to date content. Kind of annoyed with taking away features that we become accustomed to... I know it's not you, but I don't understand why the folks who created this build can't just let shit be on top of improving.
  24. @Dindo Nothin The "avogadro" is not the electric man's name, the electric entity from Green Run is simply known as "him". and yeah I definitely remember folks proposing this around the time that MotD came out. It's interesting because @PINNAZ (I believe) pointed out that the afterlife icon is some sort of Native America shamanic symbol (I may be remembering that slightly wrong). We tried finding similarities between the two electric forms, and could really only compare the fact that they both were... well... electric. Regardless, we were never able to really come to a conclusion because the BO2 cannon was so all over the place. With BO2 theorizing became a lot harder in general, because the rules were changed to basically say that "anything is possible". edit: I've changed your title so it's less misleading.
