WAW Zombies borrowed a lot of design from campaign because it was a side project, not because they were related. There is also no evidence that Nikolai ever actually met Reznov, and certainly none that Nikolai died in WAW. And as far as sources on YouTube are concerned, unfortunately, 98% of YouTube channels are misinformed and under-researched and therefore, virtually entirely inaccurate. And to guess that Reznov is controlling them is more far fetched than suggesting the devil is in the MPD. I don't mean to be harsh, just honest. 

Ascend From Darkness has been a bit of a recurring theme in Zombies, with it originally referring, in WAW Zombies, to escaping the lower level of Nacht into the moonlight-washed upper floor where the best training spot on the map was located. Similar to the writing on the opposite side "Salvation Lies Above."

There have been countless speculations as to the identity of the Shadow Painting. None have been right so far. We really have no leads, and whatever it originally was has probably changed multiple times since Kino, if not dropped entirely, especially with the new twist the story is taking.

I used to write a lot of music and poetry...but it's been a long time. I've begun again, though, since New Years and it's starting to smooth out, I think. I felt okay about the following, so I figgered I'd swaller me pride and stick it out here. It should be pretty simple to decipher. This is the first time I've written poetry/lyrics on this particular subject matter. Any fellow poets, grammatical/structural feedback is most welcome!

These shaking hands are no longer mine
Tooth and nail I fought you for my mind
From the shadows inside a black fog creeps
Concealing from myself my own defeat

The constant violence buries everything.

This is a classic example of the above, actually. I would 'like' this comment to show my agreement, but (while this comment is far more qualified for Brains than a lot of comments that get liked now) I don't want to like it and provide misappropriated Brains. 

Just saying, nothing screams 'tight-knit community' or 'longstanding culture' the way this kind of conversation does. We're debating the meaning of a button. LOL! It's awesome.

Each individual universe exists in its own dimension, which lies in the Aethereal plane. Other universes are not visible from the one you occupy because it is a separate dimension, elsewhere in the Aether. If earth was a hampster, the dimension would be a hampster ball. Place it in a pool of water and the water would be the Aether.

Hello, @Smok3y! Good to see you hangin around. As you probably guessed, I couldn't keep up with that 'waking at 5' plan. lol! Did you ever get a team to finish Origins with? If not, it's still on my list as well....so maybe someday! C'est la vie.

But I'm under the impression that one of three things actually happens:

A. The characters are eventually overrun

B. The characters survive, and though it isn't shown (because it is a game) the enemies are defeated after 'Apocalypse Averted." What they do afterwards is unknown. 

C. Apocalypse Averted, though it does not show in game, reverts the world to normal and places them back in the real world. 

Sounds like a fun idea. I'd put it in the 'forum games' section, though, and maybe require that you cannot look up a silly quote, but instead have to remember one from a previous map off the top of your head without repeating one previously posted.
