You called them balls another of you called them Meatballs. They are actual enemies in the games campaign and they are a scorestreak in multiplayer. They are named in multiple places. If you don't know the name of them then you haven't played the campaign which means you really can't do much theorizing as campaign has zombie related things within it too. Also you can't tell me that you wouldn't know what RAPSE would mean those as its a name that can't mean anything else while balls could mean anything. How do I know we aren't talking about gumballs or anything then. RAPSE is the official name given to us within the game as such it is their true names. They are robot explosives.

At least 2 of the maps characters refer to them as 'meatballs' so that is why pretty much the entire community refer to them as such. You are welcome to call them RAPSE yourself though but don't expect it to catch on anytime soon.

  2. @Chopper I would love to see the guide as like @Ragdo11706 said, I usually don't buy QR till I get to round 50 as I see a down anywhere before that as a ruined game and usually give up. I know that sounds weird but QR's are precious to me, especially as I have never used the Civil Protector in any of my solo games because of the fact that he can sometimes kill you and not revive you after it.

If it involves the Civil Protector then I would love to hear it. I am keen on changing my strat on SoE now anyway as I am a bit bored with running my current strat, which is just pretty much using the Vesper & Blast for the whole game with the WW only used if I get trapped and Arnies if I go down and need to recover but would enjoy trying something else. Seen a lot of people say they run at the Ruby but it sounds a bit hectic and unnecessarily dangerous.

Probably the fairest thing is to go by the map rules accepted by sites like zombie records, since these are generally accepted by the high round players. For example, they don't accept the flag ammo method on SoE. I don't always agree with their rules on what is and isn't an exploit or glitch but at least it's more or less a consensus the community can refer to.

Unfortunately sites like zombie records and zombie legends make up the rules to suit themselves when it comes to these things, like sitting it glitch spots on co-op runs on exo-zombies maps to take breaks. How could they consider this as even remotely legit?

@Chopper My stance is that if you glitch out any of the maps bosses intentionally then you're cheating and the game should not be considered a legit WR run. These bosses are what seperate each map from the others and by removing them you are taking the maps biggest obstacles out of the picture. I have felt this way since they allowed "no novas" on Kino and glitching out George or the Astronaut on Moon. Obviously one main issue is that these bosses can sometimes glitch out unintentionally but if you are streaming a WR attemptand do it intentionally then it shouldn't count, for obvious reasons.

As for the infinite max ammo thing, that is a part of the maps mechanics so I don't see why they would consider that an issue? It's actually a very clever strat to incorporate into your game. Still, Treyarch may attempt to patch it but if not then I say it's fair game. If people want to run without Margwas then cool but anyone who claims a WR while doing it really are deluded. Only playing the map as intended while ever be considered legit in my own opinion.

So as we all know that by crouching underneath a certain photo at the waterfront whilst looking at it and hold square/x, the entire game turns black and white.  Now, my question is, does this last forever?  I've done it and it lasts the whole game while I've heard that some peoples have come back to color after a few rounds.  Is this another easter egg we have to solve?

The noir filter lasts the entire game and never goes away until you die on solo or bleed out on co-op. There is instances where you return to colour briefly like when it is a parasite round but the filter will return once the parasite round is over.

The coding points towards a way of ending the filter so you either need to find/do something while in the noir mode or there is a way to deactivate it similarly to how you activate it in the first place. I have scoured the map while in the noir mode but found nothing so far unfortunately.

Do you not remember Die Rise. Didn't someone have to go down in the upside down room & be revived with the upgraded Ballistic Knife. Or am I just tripping.

That was a complete misconception. You didn't have to go down during that step. All you had to do was get the required amount of blood kills within the room until Maxis says "Resurrection is key" then you shot the Ballistic Knife anywhere in the room to trigger the next quote.

People put 2 and 2 together and got 5 during the solving of that step initially and thought the 'Resurrection' part was meaning actually reviving someone and they though Russman because he dies during the cutscene. Either way that step did not require a down and to date neither has any other step.

Whilst this is true, and you can't really hold out there any longer than the catwalk (and it's not any easier either), I'm not sure it's intentional. There's an out of map spot in the spawn that has also existed since WAW (and a few others I think), I'm pretty sure they just modified the original map and the original glitches just still exist as they just haven't bothered to fix them.

True but this is a very well known feature. The devs would surely know about it. The spawn glitch getting onto the wall is still there but only if you strafe jump into it as opposed to the previous knife lunge method and strafe jumping is not easy to do so I can let that one slide. The did remove the strafe jump from the boiler room though.

The one window thing is a cult classic strat and you would be lucky to make it past the 25-30 mark in that room so it isn't a big deal for me.

That and the stupid one-point of spawn in the room above the furnace. It's maddening for now. But joke's on them when it gets patched.

You have been able to do the one window room above the furnace since WaW and also in BO1. Convinced they added that intentionally tbh. You cannot exploit it for high rounds either so maybe that's why they never took it out (or added it).

But doesn't it have it in the files? Like that whole cocoon thing that was found, how do you know you can't do it anymore because even Stevie is unsure.

I mean you cannot get the upgraded Apothican by using the Gobblegum. They patched it so now the only legit way would be to find out the real method for packing it, which I still fully believe exists.

  9. 14 minutes ago, MrKechi115 said:

The problem I see here is that you can obtain it through the gobblegum that upgrades your gun for 60 seconds, that's reason enough to have it in the game. I hope there is a way to upgrade it without it but this is starting to look like the Tranzit "Laundry door".

Not anymore you can't. They patched this method at the same time they patched the PaP exploit. Right now there is NO way of getting the upgraded version of the Apothican.

It would EASILY be possible to make a map that at its core is as simple as der riese, but also include a complex side quest, and little easter eggs

Moon had the perfect balance between standard play and side quest play where you could play a game without it but it greatly benefited the players to do it. It was not necessary and you didn't lose out on any of the games features without it but it was completely worth doing. The N4 maps in BO2 all had optional side quests that didn't affect a standard game but unlike Moon they were not worth doing so were ultimately a massive let down.

The campaign team maps seem to try to force the EE on the player and also make it that you miss out on important features if you choose not to do at least part or most of the EE. I will be fine with this being a trend if we end up getting 2 zombie maps with each DLC, 1 remake of a standard survival map, ie: Kino, Shi No, Ascension etc and 1 new map in their current style. If we only get 1 map though then I expect them all to be objective laden maps which is frustrating at times when you just want to get a quick game going.

John - would you be good to play some Xbox on Monday to mess around 2 player to see if we can replicate it?

Sure bud. I have a few other things I would also like to try out. Will be free from around 4pm onwards so hit me up on here or Skype when you are down.

It's really interesting, 'cause he definitely was right about that. Now, last time I played, I got all yellow lights. The first two times, I was alone in the MTD when the step was taken. The third time, my brother and I were in it together with a zombie, who I ensured was busy and distracted with the monkey bomb, however, the light was still yellow.

The first time I did the perk EE, however, they were all green.

Really got me curious as to how you @madgaz182 got two different colors. I haven't tried with a dog yet, like you suggested, so we'll see.

Unfortunately this does now indeed seem to be a graphical glitch. When viewing said match in theater mode the light combination changed, then at one point went all green again until the video is rewinded and they change yellow again and sometimes red. It's definitely just the buggy engine at play.

Until anyone discovers something in regards to this, I am calling it a glitch and am not willing to invest anymore time in it. It seems to be a complete non starter.

  13. @madgaz182 So it looks like you really were onto something after all there Gaz. My friend @jaysta5792 has managed to also get a Yellow light to appear on the control panel beside PaP! O.O

He has took a few screeshots of them also and I am seriously doubting this is just a graphical glitch now. Guess some of the people who doubted you or accused you of using photoshop and software to manipulate the colouring in the video owe you an apology.

    What could it mean though?

  14. 23 minutes ago, Nightmare Voyager said:

It was a graphics glitch? I hate people who false hype so much, what is even the point but to disappoint fans?

I am not completely convinced it is a graphical glitch especially as she is using mods to help find these things but it's certainly not quite the "big deal" she was making it out to be. The fact she is using mods to find these EE's is terrible though and it was refreshing to see the reddit community tear her to shreds for it. So much so she deleted her account over there.

I am not ruling it out being something bigger but when she starts throwing arounf the terms "Huge!" and "Important!" without actually knowing this then it just reeks of click-bait.

  15. My nominations for this month are @LiamFTWinter  @Chopper & @steviewonder87

All 3 have been very active this month and have been helpful & encouraging in their posts. Liam has, as usual been posting all his EE finding whenever discovered and has also helped rule out certain things. Ben has posted some great startup strategies for solo players like myself and has also been highly active throughout the forum. Stevie has been seen across numerous threads adding helpful tips, information and even some humour here and there that has saw him build up a lot of likes this past month.

Great contributions from all and on that note, may the best man win!

Her name doesn't really matter though, what matters is she is working hard to find EEs and stuff.

Her name might not be that big a deal but the fact that she promotes glitches is not something I am fond of. I detest glitchers and the fact that she makes money from promoting them is terrible.

Sure she is a cool person in real life though and it's awesome that she is discovering new EE's but don't ever assume it "doesn't matter" that she promotes glitches because it does. It matters a lot!

I am believing more and more than someone is over there on a power trip and have been pissed off by a high round player somewhere and are making petty changes which only really affect those people.  On Die Rise it was patching the sliquid gun to make crawlers over round 100 plus the added splashes creating puddles everywhere and now it's the WW on SOE.

The Die Rise crawlers in particular affected only a tiny group of players, and had no harm to anyone else.  What was the point?

It's funny because I was talking about Die Rise the other day with a friend and we were both questioning why they would nerf the WW from 100 without the map offering a viable alternative to using the WW, like traps. You could be onto something about the 'power trip' thing. I used to think maybe it was Activisions way of trying to reduce longer traffic on the servers but then you look at other maps and think, well why not nerf them?

I don't think getting beyond 100 without the upgraded WW on SoE would be too hard due to the traps but I absolutely agree that the Margwa's and lack of packed WW means they have limited the playing areas for the map. This was one of the reasons I hated MotD. Great fun setting up on Mob but then you are forced into one area, namely the canteen and that area just bores the tears out of me for training. The Margwa's I tend to just leave when they spawn in and let them run with my trains until close to the end of the round then I finish them off. It's a burden for sure but one I have gotten used to now. I just wish the map had more to offer in terms of proper high round training spots over decent(ish) spots to train for low to mid rounds co-op games.

  18. 15 minutes ago, Chopper said:

I say glitch out the Margwa and 'enjoy' the game again.

I didn't even know that was possible. I knew it could be done with the Spaceman and the Panzer but not the Margwa. I doubt I would bother doing it though because the map is considerably easy as is. I am not even that fussed about upgrading the WW because getting to 100 would be relatively simple with the current loadout available anyway.

@shirtlesservice Welcome to zombies. In my, say... 500+ attempts at getting to 110+ on Origins I had this same thing happen to me on at least 3/4 of those games. Would go down to the crazy place to switch my Ice Staff for the Wind and would end up dying somehow on the way there or back. It's all part of the experience and I would like to think we learn from these mistakes. Not always, but sometimes.

Bottom line, the scripting says nothing else exists "unless" something has been missed.

I would take that with a pinch of salt Craig. I have had 2 people who claimed to have tore the coding for Shadows of Evil apart and claimed there was nothing more to that EE, yet people found out how to upgrade the Arnie's since then and have yet to find out how to upgrade the WW. This would be something that would surely stand out in the coding if these EE's were that easy to spot.

I was also told by someone recently that the 2 current EE's for The Giant are not that easy to spot within the coding and apparently this individual couldn't even find the free perk EE in the code themselves.

Long story short, these guys who claim to rip the code are not reliable sources for definitive answers on whether there is more or not. If they can show me the exact executable coding for the already known EE's then fair enough but all I hear on various platforms is that there is nothing more in the coding, but I am yet to see evidence of this and not just people claiming as such.

I thought it was hilarious. Zombies has always contained some element of humor, whether it was Nikolai's constant references to vodka, Marlton ragging on the other N4, or various other instances. I see where you are coming from, but this is just something the developer put in for fun.

It is a step to upgrade the Arnie's though not just a one-off novelty feature so it would be something you would see regularly if you chose to upgrade them. I get it and the donuts are just for fun but it's zombies... it's not really supposed to be that kind of humourous. Not complaining too much about them though, just find it a tad too gimicky for my liking is all. I am sure I can look past it if I ever intend on upgrading the tacticals.

  21. 5 minutes ago, madgaz182 said:

For instance why remake DER RIESE ?, What purpose does it serve to forward the story , if the characters are gonna just advance the story through script and no actual EASTER EGG interaction, why not just have a new map entirely , this is more the reason why i want to beleive more and more that there has to be a full EASTER EGG to this map

I do agree and find it odd that they would send our characters back to Der Riese only to have younger Richtofen kill the older Richtofen and that's it! It just seems like such a pointless reason and with Treyarch themselves confirming in their ComiCon Q&A that The Giant would have an EE, it makes me want to believe they meant more than just 2 simple ones that were discovered on day one by most players. This long into it now though sees hope fade but I refuse to give up completely on this one.

As for who is on your side and who's not... everyone get's a fair chance on this forum. Some people let the whole thing get to them a bit too much a times, hell, I was just as nippy back in the Tranzit days. Passions run high within this community and we can all get carried away with ourselves but you are a user on here and you will be treated like everyone else.

I believe you were only trying to find something new and unfortunately the map is bug ridden so that makes somethings hard to determine as to whether it is a genuine find or just a visual glitch. Either way, I appreciate what you are trying to do. :)

  22. 2 hours ago, Cheesegrater28 said:

Thats a good find and pretty funny. Wonder if this is needed to upgrade the WW.

I have heard it upgrades the Arnie's only and is unrelated to the WW. It's a nice little nod towards 'Spaceballs', but like the donut tripmine I find it a tad too comical and gimmicky for zombies. It lowers the tone of it for my liking and I hope is not something they plan to carry on with throughout the other DLC maps.
