  1. Ya it's the only logical explanation I can think of atm.
  2. Haha Ikr? But yes we left off bo1 thinking WTF?... So it's pretty funny how they could do it again with this one, so I have to applaud them for that.
  3. "An alternate-reality Dieselpunk Zombies experience that transports players to the undead-infested trenches of a World War I battlefield." What your quoting is an overall description of the maps theme, that its an alternate-reality to mine and your reality, not the characters Tank and Richtofen game reality. Also, notice how it says in the web description "OF A WW1 battlefield" and the other pertaining to the game itself talks about it as if all that matters is the characters reality "upon THE battlefields of WW1" The one quote is directly from the map description which concerns the story moreso. I knows it's sort of a grey area but these types of mistranslations are quite common when there's multiple source references.
  4. First i'd like to say how good it is you are taking this in a mature sense. I mean we all have to accept in some way or another that all the stories up until this point has been made up by children (with some outside influences of course)if there wasnt so much paraphanelia in the room showing of past maps/events, then we could say something different but I don't think anyone can deny that some part of them KNOWS THIS WAS ALL A GAME. Now saying that doesnt mean its over completely; and that they couldn't build up zombies from this, but that we will probably not see any of the 20 playable characters of the first Zombies Trilogy. I believe if they do make another zombies saga that they could just go real world as you said with completely new story and characters with no real magical influence *at least in the beginning*, and as far as the PAP and Perks well these don't necessarily have to be magic, I mean there's machines that augments weapons as of today? perks, well what about adrenaline shots for increased everything lol. This can go any way whatsoever and ill be happy with any of it personally.
  5. If you're on the step where you want to place all the ultimate staffs in the robot head and the fire one in the main room, and you're on solo it won't spawn, or if you're on easy, it won't spawn. On two player it will. I think it's because one step requires one person to be near the cracked surface to call the airstrike in on while the other person needs to be in the head to push the button, so maybe it's locking you out to progress further?
  6. Completely love your attitude here, while you believe it can be real you also realize (because of the paraphernalia in Sams room) it can't really be the same story going forward. The very best we can hope for is that Treyarch will take this opportunity to expand on the idea to either create a super soldier and the zombie threat, or that they will use these ideas to combat a possible Zombie pandemic currently going on. If they do choose to just cut their losses, it can still be considered a decent ending considering all the loose ends could be on account they were only children and we all know those minds wander! Lol Edit: Also about if the new stories would be from a child's perspective or not, I highly doubt they would take this route as a lot of people aren't too keen on these type of stories because they feel it devalues the experience... WHILE I CAN UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE FEEL THIS WAY, I also have to laugh in a way because in essence, it's all fake and only as real as we make it, so even if "it's all pretend" does that devalue the experience you had getting to the destination? I mean it was all fiction to begin with... Just think about that.
  7. OK, maybe the room theme can't be used in this argument. But then again, we can't really argue about toys like that not existing in the 40s right? Not when they have 1,000-foot giant robots and quadrotors controlled by a human brain. Assuming that Origins did happen, then technology is more advanced in Zombies universe than you think. Toys like these could come earlier than you think. But now I wanna ask: where is this CotD poster you're talking about? Because the clearest poster I can see in the cutscene is the green one, and that is from Mob of the Dead. At a closer look, I do realize that it doesn't seem to be similar in color scheme with the Green as CotD but nowhere on the poster am I picking up a MotD vibe, google MotD images and then CotD, the font and color resembles CotD more than MotD and also the CIA agent dude on there would be a call back to CotD as well more because of the EE step to get the Golden Rod, so I deduce that it's CotD. Who knows it may not have anything to do with CotD, but can't deny there's no throwbacks to MotD at all. Also if you notice the seperation from the black and green could be the parting between the land and boat on the frozen lake from CotD, although the same could be said its a slight representation of Alcatraz but again, there's still more hints at CotD than anything.
  8. I can totally understand you here, there's so many variables with 4 player EE that it sometimes makes it not really enjoyable. Whether it be some disconnects, or they just wanna go out to dinner at a random moment. Anyways, I don't have video proof and completely understand if you don't believe me but I watched a couple of my friends complete it on two player, I don't think solo will work because the staffs werent letting them be placed in the robots heads after a certain point, so possible it was a glitch but also could be a lockout.
  9. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to hold on hoping Treyarch is going to continue the story, im not giving my theories hoping that it will somehow keep zombies alive for the next game either, if its the end then its the end. I also agree with you a out the Easter Eggs. I've never had more fun in zombies than in W@W, and i can honestly say some of my best theories came from W@W zombie maps that proved to be real. We only needed small Easter eggs, and we dug and dug and dug up so many different scenarios and we were HAPPY! None of this rubbish now with youtube fanboys all trying to out do each other, having youtubers stealing other people's ideas and posting them on youtube claiming them as their own finds. We truly helped each other either directly or through often fierce debates (im talking to you CC lol) and ive met some great friends who share my love for zombies, some of them right here from the early days like Tac and Nayarc. Zombies has lost that core community spirit and it is now a former shell of itself. Because of the over extravagant Easter eggs the story itself has become second place to achievements and THAT is what will kill Zombies. I have said it before and il say it again, i miss the old days where WE the community shaped its future. Rightly said :)
  10. What I think has been the most humorous thing about the ending is that it manages to split the community into 3 opinions, those of us that believe that it was all just a game and it's over, those of us that are desperately trying to hold on to the original story and make it "real" or regard it as a filler alternate reality map until BO:3, and finally those of us that believe the story we know was fake but believe that a zombie apocalypse game/storyline will be built from this. What I have seen from comments today is that on top of all this, it manages to get even the people that agree on one point are still in some disagreement over the details in reaching those conclusions lol, it truly has been a mindfuck Treyarch, would love some clarification :D
  11. @Rdjokr Again irrelevant, who's to say that the child wasnt theming their room after a certain time period (this room holding paraphernalia of 2013 with CotD poster and robots? I don't believe these type of toys were around in the 40s, not to that detail) to go along with their game sessions? I know when I was a certain age it was Power ranger themes, a Few years later, girls girls girls lol, the decor of the room does not hold the answer to the time period, what does however is the knowledge of celebrities, and certain world events.
  12. If it's post 2025, then why the hell are they still using gramophones? Samantha has one in her room, right next to the window and teddy bear. That is irrelevant, it's like saying I can't have an old record player in my room because its not with the times, just because time moves on doesnt mean the person has to have current time possessions. @IRurg, I DEFINITELY SEE YOUR POINT HERE, but if I may... Treyarch has already made this games story way too complicated compared to even lost in my opinion, We neared the end of Bo2 with even more questions than an end of a season of lost lol, *love the shows ending btw* but to me there was too many little EE and its all in a disarray and members of the community are always frantically trying to connect it to real world things and treyarch never confirms any of it, whereas lost, these things are slowly confirmed to be fact, but in 5 years what has treyarch confirmed? To me this was only ever meant to be tons of little EE with a small underlying story with a plot twist for good measure.
  13. FatedTitan I just want to take this time to thank you for your maturity in your replies and apologize I'm not editing my replies to people's posts pertaining to a specific point in order to get these quotes smaller, I'm doing this from my iPhone and its a bitch as it is to just type these long ass winded posts lmao. I can see everyone's side *Mostly* XD but we are all just going to have to agree to disagree, I mean hell treyarch has got our theorie juice pumping and even the people that are agreeing such as Eternal and I can even say we don't agree WITH EVERY POINT we are making, so ya treyarch needs to make this statement and clarify some things, honestly the story was already extremely hard to comprehend before this lol. I will say this though and please anyone that disagrees with me I apologize but I gotta say it, both Eternal and I have stated it; The theory "It was all a game" (we are saying that a zombie game apocalypse could still happen, but all the events thusfar have not occurred) is more plausible than the theories that "This can all still be real" going around . So you see the first theory, promotes that this could be real, just not the events occurred so far (possibly caddymans immortalizing toy company doll game based off some events yes) but for the most part has been just a game. While the other theory only promotes one way *Find an excuse that all this happened, string theory, time revelation and mind wiping ideas GALORE, be damned*
  14. Yes this makes more sense, but it's still a stretch. The ending scene, could be an imagined reality shared by all 3 of them: Sam, Richtofen, and Maxis. Sam hit the Aether first, so she has the most power. Maxis was next, but he didn't directly enter the same way Sam and Richtofen did, so he is not as directly tied to it as they are. Then Richtofen came in and he melded with Sam. Sam is recreating reality for all three of them, but she keeps Richtofen close and he takes the role of her playmate. Maxis is still a father figure, so she lets him continue his research and keeps them all going with the threat of impending danger (the siren). This is also a possibility, but it's not as easy to digest as it all just being a kids game. I concur with his response as I was about to give a similar reply.
  15. Well by those standards there's no way h.g.wells could have thought up and wrote war of the worlds is there? There's no way Stephen king could have wrote all the horror fantasies he did either huh? These 2 kids look about 11 and 13 and kids that age normally have a pretty overactive imagination. Cia, CDC, the pentagon? Those things all existed if we're going with fated timeline where its the beginning of WW2. Their imagination must exist outside the boundaries of space and time then. How in the world would they just "imagine" JFK, Nixon, McNamara, Castro, and real life film actors fighting zombies? Five and CotD alone are enough to put the whole "everything's a game" theory to rest. Sorry but no, there's posters on the wall in the cutscene that depict the same color and font used for CotD, Signaling the acknowledgment of these maps, and a few other posters with the rest. There's no telling What year this particular scene takes place in, but if I had to guess it would be post 2025 seeing as how their latest game is taking place in that year, so ya see the "everything was a game" is more plausible than the ones that are trying to give meaning to how "this all could still be real" theories,
  16. The whole pick a side for the strongest power in Black ops 2 eggs screams child behaviors when I think about lol maybe I'm just reaching though, idk
  17. What's pretty obvious to you? That Eddie represents Richtofen or you believe Eddie IS Richtofen, meaning he was directly involved in the events of this entire series? If its the first one then of course, I don't think many are denying there's an obvious connection. If its the second one well that's debateable, seeing as how there would have to be more time fluxes and certain mind wipes to accomadate that Eddie is the actual person that was directly physically involved in all of these events. Seeing as how the room is littered with information that hasn't come to pass yet, it's seeming more likely that the children had already invested some time in putting these stories together and it seems unlikely that Richtofen reverts in age to play a simple doll game with Sam basically reminiscing of their adventures together or that he forgets it all in the later maps.
  18. Ya never know, I see your point on your belief; and Eddie could have meant that they were "the real deal" so it's all plausible, and as I said we all just have to stay calm and there's gonna be times where we don't agree or slightly agree or just think is ludacris, such as I feel with the theories some have that after the cutscene ends they go down to the basement and the teleporter warps them and it's all history from there lol. Seeing as how the paraphanelia in the room suggests knowledge of everything already I just can't get behind this one even just a little bit lol.
  19. Completelty agree lol. Honestly we are just going to have to realize that the zombie community is now split into two factions, 1 are the believers that somehow the story is still 100% real and can be fixed by certain hidden truths and it can be worked out, and 2 those like us that realize this all could have been a game and that it could go either way in terms of if it will continue or end, and if it does continue will it do so wirh our make believe heroes or new heroes? I think we all should just be calm when realizing someone else has a theory that we may not agree with and understand we're all just trying to work this out for ourselves and come to a conclusion that makes us satisfied, there's nothing wrong with that. As much as I can applaud treyarchs decision to go this way, I do wish they would maybe make a statement on how they felt the ending should be interpreted since this particular storyline was already screwed from the start really and I really don't want to be in a debate for another year lol.
  20. ^ exactly, I think that's the first time I've seen someone say that Eddie is not Richtofen BUT IN SOME FORM IS RICHTOFEN Lol, that the action figure is simply an extension of who he thinks would be fun to play as.
  21. Guys just need to realize there's no logical explanation that the story as we know it ACTUALLY happened, the closest we will get is that it was either based off events in the past or setting us up for a new "real" adventure. Or simply over. Edit: weird don't remember quoting myself lol
  22. There's posters on the wall in the room that promote knowledge of other maps such as CotD (there's a CIA looking dude on it and the font used in the barely legible script resembles CotD) the others are sort of self explanatory. I like caddy idea on how this was all a glorified doll game recreation though.
  23. That's what I'm saying lmao my two year old will babble nonsense for minutes straight, not making a lick of sense but her body language and emotions range to suggest SHE KNOWS WHAT THE FUCK SHE'S TALKING ABOUT lol. Otherwise to them it may just be simple things but since we are in the game it becomes another reality entirely based on their presumed knowledge of events. Also the time difference can be explained that there's no real conclusive evidence this isn't 2025 or higher so that information could be privy to the children.
