  1. There are fundamentally two kinds of cannibalistic social behavior; endocannibalism (eating humans from the same community) and exocannibalism (eating humans from other communities). A separate ethical distinction can be made to delineate between the practice of killing a human for food (homicidal cannibalism) versus eating the flesh of a person who was already dead (necro-cannibalism). That being said, I would like to bring up a few points that may lead us down a path of no return. Cannibalism has become quite the topic in zombies as of late. It was always hinted at by Rictofen though. He has been heard saying things like: "I need your gibs, how can I get them?" "It's tearing my shins, delicious!" "I feel the blood in my eyes, I think I have an infection." "Oooh, His torture was so wonderful, perhaps I can save his appendix." Oh do you smell the cooked intestine? Delicious!" You can see them here: MgL1EbLo8MQ Who else do we hear talking about cannibalism? That's right! Samuel Stuhlinger. He has been heard saying things like: "I need a new gun, and cheese, I need ammo and cheese." "You don't bite me, I bite you!" "Man I'm working up an appetite." "Now you're just making me hungry." "Bring 'em up, you're lunch meat." You can see them here: p92N6kH94hw All of this leads me to a few questions. Was Rictofen a cannibal as well? If he was, did he do this for a reason, or did he just like the taste? Is this the reason that Samuel can hear Rictofen? Does the cannibal end up with living souls inside them? A few theories revolving around the Aztecs and cannibalism are as follows: Michael Harner believed that cannibalism arose due to protein deficiency caused by population pressure (Harner 1977). Barbara Price suggests that cannibalism was related to the political an military instabilities, demographic conditions, and the economic production and distribution networks which caused a surge of sacrifices (Price 1978). Michael Winkelman comes to the conclusion after studying various theories, that sacrifice and cannibalism are a reflection of the extreme conditions of the many ecological variables that occurred in the Basin of Mexico (Winkelman 1998). Stanley M. Garn suggests that cannibalism may have been mainly for ceremonial pleasure (Garn 1979). Bernard R. Ortiz de Montellano suggests that cannibalism was not due to nutritional needs. It was due to the belief that cannibalism would help the Aztecs commune with the gods (Ortiz de Montellano 1978). The reason I bring up the Aztecs, is they are one of the oldest tribes to practice cannibalism, so we might as well start there. As you can see, most of the theories revolve around lack of protein and nutrition. Some of the theories revolve around pleasure, and "getting closer to god." I believe that throughout WaW the original crew was supplied with food. I'm unclear as to where they would find it, and yes I know it is a game and doesn't have to be explained. Bare with me. By the end of WaW, we notice that the crew is regaining their memory, and start to hate Rictofen. In this time, they could have stocked up on food and supplies, and left Rictofen to fend for himself. Rictofen, starving and insane, turns to zombies for protein and quickly begins to form a plan. Once Black Ops has begun, we hear references of clear cannibalism, and the doctor sounds completely different than he did in WaW. He is much more crazy and starts showing signs of change. By the end of Black Ops, he is in control, and the crew helps Maxis, showing they were in fact against Rictofen this entire time. Now we have Black Ops 2, and Samuel Stuhlinger. This group is expected to have grew up in this world after the nukes hit. They never knew of any governments or rules or socially acceptable behavior. They have no morals. Sam has now started spouting off about cannibalism, leading me to believe that history is repeating itself. Samuel is the only one that can hear Rictofen, so the rest of the crew will become suspicious, and doubt his every move. Samuel will remain resiliant and could possibly join Rictofen, if not overthrow him. On a side note: If Samuel did grow up around this new world, and never seen the old one, how would he know about conspiracy theories? My answer would be that cannibalism does actually grant the host access to their prey's memories. Samuel could have came across a CIA agent (homicidal cannibalism), or could have eaten a zombie soldier (necro-cannibalism). What are your thoughts? I truly am interested. Does cannibalism grant limited access to Aether? So many questions.
  2. I would be the one zombie dancing around. Just spinning and slapping myself. Crouch, stand, crouch, stand, slap, slap, crouch, stand, spin spin spin. Seriously though, I don't think it would be too much to ask for. If you notice, the zombies run kind of different than the AI does in normal games. It would be nice to be able to dodge like the zombies from Ascension. At least gives us a quick side step or something.
  3. WTF did I just see!? I would like to say this is a glitch, but I cannot be sure. The video being chopped up like that does not help your position. This will be torn apart to ensure authenticity. Not saying you did, but it is very easy to crop two videos together and make it look like one. Honestly, I would redo the video if you want people to view this seriously. For something like this to not be brought up for this long, you had to expect this reply.
  4. Yeah I honestly doubted it from the get-go. It was just one of those things that I thought of and figured I would see if anyone else had let this thought cross their mind. Deep down I think it would be awesome for about 5 seconds. Hilarious at that. After the 5 seconds I would be pissed.
  5. Rez never actually posted that. It was in a description that a random site put up before the game came out. The post is fake and should not be referenced at all. There is no end-game of sorts, and Treyarch told us it would go against the core so they would never do that.
  6. I know this seems a little silly, but I would rage quit if someone were to make me a crawler. They just jump around you and you can only walk with your hands. Seriously though, from the look of the video, it seems the damage is kind of extreme for the guns. I'm thinking they might just do away with making crawlers. It would be far too easy for trolls to ...well, troll. If they do allow crawlers to be made, how will the rounds work? If they save a crawler, will everyone just be spectating until the next round, or will it be similar to NML in the sense that it goes by time and not rounds. If it goes by time, this means the zombies will be constant and a need for crawlers would be little to none. It would help slow down the crowd, and eventually you will still have that one poor guy that never gets killed as a crawler, and is forced to spend the whole match trying his damnedest to get that survivor... I can't wait.
  7. I am on XBOX and both of my accounts can play my primary account's DLC. I'm not sure why everyone else is having problems. Not saying you guys are incorrect, but I am completely able to play all DLC on my other account. Offline or Online.
  8. Excellent theory. Do you know if this is the same area that was occupied by Japan in 1945, during Shino Numa? Wow, that radio tower just screams easter egg doesn't it?
  9. How are we positive, or at least know, that the Americans were making a replica? I'm sorry, I could have sworn I read that somewhere in the story-line. I know I read it here and I assumed this was intel from the Computer in Black Ops. If I am wrong then I retract that statement. I just re-read my post and it looks like I was saying Check for yourself, when I was actually saying that Nacht was in Green Run *Check*
  10. I could see how "Him" could supercharge the lamp posts. It actually makes since if you think about it. Denizen's only have the power to create teleporters for traveling around Green Run and not time. This would mean that when the supercharge it, it would simply increase the range or distance, and not the year. I like it. May I ask why you think it is ShangHai? @Rage: I don't think they got there by helicopter because there would be a fifth player in the next map, as there is no helicopter on Green Run and someone would have there and pick the new crew up. It's a nice thought though. I think you are probably correct about the helicopter being our next form of transportation in Die Rise.
  11. Yeah the Diner will most likely open up. You never know, the Power might also, but I think that may be for future DLC. I can't wait for this one. Free-for-all zombies? HELL YEAH! They better pray I don't become human. I assume the way you win is either most kills/infects at the end, or most time as survivor. It's gonna be awesome.
  12. So I guess my theory still holds so far. We had Nacht in Green Run, and through the story-line we know America was constructing a replica. CHECK. We are now going to China in Der Rise, and Carbon tweeted "Der RiZe", leading me to believe that Der Rise is a Tranzit map. Shi No Numa is in Modern day China, but at the time we played it, it was in Japan. Is it not possible that Shino Numa is actually incorporated somehow? I'm getting excited.
  13. Well we finally got the trailer for Revolution and man does it look awesome. Even cooler is the new game-mode, as it was not mentioned before, except for in the coding. This is not what I am here to talk about though. I am more interested in how the new crew got here... They were in Hanford, WA. USA during Green Run, leading me to believe that they had to take a boat of some sort. Either direction they traveled would require them to take a boat or a plane. I believe a boat would be a little more reasonable, as none of the characters reference being pilots. They don't reference being captains either, but I feel it would be a little easier. The other option is teleportation. The denizens were capable of moving the crew around the map, so who is to say the crew couldn't teleport to the far east? I'm not sure what could cause this though. In previous maps, the old crew was able to overload the teleporters, or Richtofen was able to alter them. I'm not sure how you could alter a denizen hole... :? Either the crew was able to overload the denizen holes, or they somehow got the bus to take them to a boatyard/airport. I really think this map is going to give us a better idea of zombies this time around. Green Run wasn't a fluke at all, but it lacked a lot of the things we were hoping for. Honestly I couldn't list any, but it just felt like it was lacking. In this one it seems like we are in for a real challenge. Having Treyarch themselves say that it reminds them of a M. C. Escher painting, and the player at some points will have trouble telling up from down, makes me very excited. I am all for mazes and feeling lost in the middle of zombies. It raises the bar for being scared of one popping out of nowhere at the right moment. The next thing I would have to ask is where in the far east? The Amazon description said China, but should I trust that? I honestly don't know. If it is China, I am interested to see what happened to the opposite side of the globe. We know all three missles hit on this side of the globe, because Nuketown was hit. On the Moon, we could see clearly that all three missles hit one side of the globe. This means that in theory, the fog shouldn't be as bad, though if the impact was bad enough to spread fog to Washington, who's to say it couldn't reach China? So I leave you with that. What is your opinion?
  14. Here's mine. Just showing off which side I did.
  15. Though I do agree that it is weird that all of the zombies seem to be the same, I think it is like that to differentiate between the special zombies. All of the zombies have certain screams and we know them by this. If we started hearing children zombie on top of adult zombies, and also special zombies, we would not be able to tell the difference so easy. Off Topic: Shouldn't something with a title like: "Zombies in General" go in the "General Zombies" section. Just saying.
  16. You earned the "Persistant Perk" Barric-aid. It adds metal to the boards on the windows, which makes the zombies take longer to rip them down. You can see the metal if you look at them. This can be lost if you don't repair windows for a while.
  17. This is only to piss people off. If you are good at staying alive, I would just leave the power off and work with wall guns. Leave them with nothing to work with. It will show how good they really are, without glitches.
  18. ^Sorry if that is how I came off. You ARE wanted here, just not your glitches. I have no problem with you at all. I just can't have a bunch of people looking into something that you yourself, know is a glitch. You even look down and nudge toward the edge to be sure your in it correctly... There is nothing new as far as the easter egg goes, just glitches. Sorry if I came off rude before.
  19. It is obvious that you were using the glitch in power. When you are in a glitch, it doesn't matter what it is, it will eventually get there and stay there like it did with you. What I mean is, when you do a glitch in COTD, George goes to the same place as the zombies. All you did is get the avogadro into the glitch. If you waited long enough he will die. This is nothing new. Glitches are not accepted here.
  20. Another thing I started doing is I'll wait for the next game and I'll hide all of the parts. I'll take a turbine part and swap it for the jetgun in the tunnel, then run and trade that for a piece of the shield, trade that for the zombie hand on the power switch, and do my best to hide the zombie hand in a corner somewhere. If you stand away from a part a little bit while trading the parts, you can repeat this and "walk" the parts into corners. With zombie limbs everywhere, they have no chance of finding the hand. If you walk all of the parts into corners, and use only small parts (i.e. the fin on the turbine, the zombie arm) they will be left defenseless and be forced to go to the power glitch. One monkey bomb and they will be done for. I ask that this only be used in "revenge on glitcher" circumstances. Don't become trolls.
  21. This is hilarious, and quite intriguing. It seems you will only be able to do this on an object that is slanted. When I say this, I mean an object that Treyarch made the invisible barrier slanted as well. A lot of things such as boulders and what-not still have a box like barrier, even though it looks rounded. Saying this, I'll have to give the map a once over. One thing that automatically comes to mind is the bus' plow at the front. I'm sure all of you know that if you jump while installing it, you will jump very high when it finishes installing. The same thing goes if the bus is moving though. If the bus is speeding along and you jump toward the plow at the front, you can sometimes even get on top of the bus! What if you used this and the jet-gun at certain places? Might be nothing but hey, at this point I'm bored.
  22. Any word on a date yet? I know it's early and all.
  23. XxI Ethijee IxX posted alot of different things, some of which people should not have shot down sooo fast, because some of it was quite interesting & true, which could've possibly lead to something!!! I'm not sure what you are implying. Unless you are agreeing that new users such as Hurricane and Ethijee shouldn't be shot down. In that case, I agree.
