  1. The Boss Battle Insanity reminds me of the Horde mode from Gears of War. What about some of the more technical stuff? Such as joining mid-session? Dynamically allocated zombies based on the number of players because of being allowed to join mid-session? How about some challenge modes where you have to kill a certain number of zombies within a specific amount of time and you're only given one specific gun with limited ammo? Or perhaps some small one-time-use traps that you can place down on your own?
  2. Sorry guys, I've been super busy with an insane amount of school work along with work for the site and managing a life at the same time. I do have a playdate in the works for the 360 guys but I have yet to hear back from my contact about that, so we'll see how that goes. Anyway, Ehj, if you don't mind me using the same schedule and layout to organize future 360 playdates, I would appreciate it.
  3. I realize that there's already a thread somewhat similar to this, but I believe that's more of what people are expecting from zombies. What I want in this thread is some really good suggestions that you think should be included in Zombies. Do you have an idea for a new map? A new trap? New weapons? New characters? New perks? If there's anything new that you think should be included in Zombies, please leave them here. Ultimately, what do YOU suggest that Treyarch should do with Zombies? If you'd like to tell us what you're expecting from Zombies, rather than what you suggest should be included, post here: viewtopic.php?f=81&t=19114 Also, here is Mp1st reporting on this forum section! http://mp1st.com/2012/01/25/zombies-con ... ack-ops-2/
  4. My apologies, I was busy playing some MW3 with one of my roommates. :P
  5. Haha, very clever. [tab][/tab]Anyway, including the tab was a lot easier than I expected. It's so simple that I feel kinda stupid for not thinking of it myself considering I can write in HTML. This sentence is an example of the tab being used. [tab][/tab]Nothing goes inside the tab tags. Just include the sentence after the closing tag and it will work correctly.
  6. I'll look into including tabs. I'm not quite sure how to do it but I'll try to figure out if it's possible. And haha, is 90,000 characters not enough for you?
  7. I'd be more than happy to look over it once it's done. Perhaps we can even consider posting it in the Site News and stickying it. By the way, if you'd like, I can consider adding a set of tags that will allow you to insert tabs into a post. Would you like me to look into it?
  8. Alright so I think it's time for somewhat of a history lesson concerning CoDz from my point of view. This is something that I posted in Ehjookayted's thread about the inner workings and behind the scenes stuff for the forums, but I figured it was worthy enough for everyone to see it. Anyway, enjoy. Alright, well I suppose I should start from the beginning. Zombies was born in late 2008 with the release of World at War, but it really wasn't until early 2009 when the storyline began. It started out with the release of Veruckt and Shi No Numa and most discussion concerning the storyline took place in numerous places, but one of the more dominant places was the Xbox forums. Here's a link back to that original thread, but due to changes to the Xbox forums, the link no longer works. I don't know where the thread would be now, or if it even still exists. Anyway, last I knew, that thread had over 5,000 views and 8 pages full of theories and explanations for some of the mysteries of Veruckt and Shi No Numa. Progress was then continued on the Aggregame forums in June of 2009 by carbonfibah. This is where I came into play. I spent a lot of time reading through all of the theories and speculations that had been posted both in the Xbox thread and also on the Aggregame forums. I then began to do research and speculation of my own. I put out some of the ideas that I had in the AG forums and carbon gave input on them. It wasn't until several days later on June 19, 2009 that the first official CoDz site was born. It was built on a free hosting service and so the quality was very poor. We had very little control over what could be put on the site. I won't link to the site because it no longer exists anymore and the link redirects to some other random site. The site had been under construction for several months and that was when it was finally released. The first admins were carbonfibah (of course) and Julez. Most of you probably won't remember Julez because she was only involved in the very early beginnings of the old site. I just have to say this though, she was an absolutely amazing person to hang out with and she brought a lot of love and unity to the forums at the time. Anyway, I started out as just a regular user on the forums, then within several days of joining I was made a Zombie Mod, which is a step below a Global Mod, and then shortly after I was made a full Global Mod, along with another good friend addor, who also isn't a member of the site anymore. He had a bit of a falling out with carbon, but I won't go into details with that. We ended up with a staff of 10 members which consisted of the following: carbonfibah, MINUS Stl, YoungMaxwell, firevice, shri046, XxCrazzyxX (XxCrazzyGuy92xX at the time), Ibanez, Niho (NihonjinRikugun at the time), lissa110, and myself. We continued to use that site for about 10 months where we had accrued close to 4,000 members and over 13,000 posts. Close to the end of the site's life span we spent several months working hard on a new project that would allow us to expand and improve the site even further. We began work on a brand new site built from the ground up that would be larger and better than it's predecessor. Carbon gave full access to the new site to the staff about halfway through March of 2010. He also gave access to Zombie Cakes, who you should all know as being a very talented artist, along with MaTtKs and CHEFS, who, at the time, had been two of the Call of Duty VIP's. MaTtKs now works at Treyarch as the Multiplayer Production Coordinator and CHEFS currently works at THQ working on Darksiders 2 and other games, and for a while he was the Community Manager for Homefront. The new site, which is the one we're on now, opened to the public on April 1, 2010 and that was when I became the Community Manager for the site. Becoming the CM was something that was a late birthday present to me from carbon. We've made numerous changes to the site since that time and we've also grown a lot since then. We now have over 9,000 (yes, I know) members. There have been over 141,000 posts made on the forum in 13,000 unique topics. Our staff now consists of 24 members, some not active, but they're still included. Now let's see, Mods and Dwellers are chosen on an individualistic basis, meaning that we carefully think and debate about why someone should be a part of those groups. At one point, we had a competition on the old forums to see who would be chosen to become new Mods and that is where several of our Mods have originated from. We have also done polls within our own private forums in order to pick out possible candidates for Modship. Concerning how both Alpha and I were made Admins, it was based on a situation that carbon was in at the time. I don't know if I have the authority to say what it is that allowed him to make the decision to make us Admins, so I'll just leave it be and hope that carbon will at some point explain and make it publicly known. Anyway, I hope that that will answer many of your questions, and if you have questions about specific things, please feel free to ask them.
  9. Good to have you here mate. Welcome to the site. :)
  10. The CM is a full Global Mod with all of the same powers as a Global Mod. Dwellers are essentially just regular Mods. They have some of the same powers that a Global Mod has but they are limited in some things. For instance, Dwellers can't edit, delete, or change the author of any members posts, but Global Mods have that power.

  12. Yup, I saw it Ehj, and if you don't mind I'd like to answer your questions here. I don't have time to answer them now, but I'll be sure to do so in a few hours. If anyone else has some questions for me, please let me know and I will answer them later on.
  13. Always willing to answer any and all questions. Remember, I've been involved with Zombies since before the site was even started, so I've been here quite a while.
  14. Just a heads up, I've placed Phxntxm in charge of the Four Guardians usergroup so he will be the one handling all requests and additions/changes to groups until further notice.
  15. what spam-bot? and if you see them, report it, it makes it easier for us. and old guy? psh you're 18, I'm one month older xD Haha, I'm metaphorically old here on the site, being here since the very early beginnings and having risen to my current position. :P
  16. My apologies folks, for the last few weeks I've been moving into a new house and we haven't had any internet whatsoever. Because of this, I haven't been able to get on much and attend to the requests here. Hopefully I can get through the requests quickly and you all will be in your new usergroups by tonight. Edit: Everyone should be correctly placed into their usergroups now. If you aren't, please let me know and I will be sure to fix it.
  17. This is something that is on my list of things to do. :)
  18. My apologies guys. I'm currently in the process of moving to a new house so I wont have any Internet connection until tomorrow afternoon at the latest. Once I do get Internet back tomorrow I will be able to complete any requests here. Also, side note, in order to upload a picture to provide proof for your accomplishment, please use an image uploaded such as tinypic. It's very simple and easy to use. Anyway, thanks all. Just wanted to assure you that I will get on this as soon as possible.
  19. Take it easy guys. I myself am also a huge solo player and have gotten pretty far myself, so I know where you're coming from. You'll have to let me think about it first and then I will make a decision on whether or not to allow an award for solo players.
  20. Sorry but if you think this games graphics are good, you are totally wrong. This is what the graphics COULD be like:
  21. Good to meet you as well Salad. Simply send me a PM with whichever thread you would like to be stickied and I will take a look at it. If I deem it sticky worthy, then I will make it so.
  22. Hey all, I'm sure most of you know who I am and what I do around here, but I figured that since my old intro thread was old (over one and a half years old) and that my life has changed since then, it might be a good idea to reintroduce myself. And yes, I realize that this looks long and rather menial, but I deem it necessary. Besides, I don't really care if you read all of it apart from a section I will put in bold and colored text further down. Here's a quick biography on me. My name is Nick and I'm currently 18 years old. I turn 19 in early March of next year. I was born in Provo, Utah where I lived for roughly the first 8 years of my life. My family then moved to the Denver, Colorado area where we lived for about 4 years. We then moved up to Bozeman, Montana where we lived for 3 years. We then made our most recent move to Citrus Heights, California which is in the Greater Sacramento area where we've lived for almost 3 years. I graduated from Bella Vista High School earlier this year in June. I'm now attending school at Brigham Young University in Rexburg, Idaho. If for any reason, you'd like to see what I look like in real life, I'd be more than willing to post a few pictures. For this next part, I'm just gonna copy and paste a section from my previous intro because not much about it has changed. I am a very avid gamer and I've been playing video games ever since the first Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation 1. I'm a big fan of the Call of Duty series, and any FPS game in general. I own all major systems (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii), along with a brand new custom built PC, though I use my 360 most of the time. Besides gaming, I love to watch movies. I'm also a very big reader, and can go through a 700 page book in a few days, with minimal time to read. I absolutely love writing, and have worked on various stories and movie scripts in the past. I also love to create art, just because it allows me to express myself in new and exciting ways. I first got involved with the site around June or July of '09. I started out as your average gamer, just someone who loves to play video games. Once Shi No Numa came out for Nazi Zombies, I got really involved with the whole storyline business. I met Carbon over on the xbox forums where he had posted his original storyline theories for Nazi Zombies. We then moved over to Aggregame where we continued the research for the storyline. Shortly after that we started the Call of Duty Zombie Forums. At the start of that new site I was just a normal member. But then I quickly became a Zombie Moderator since I had helped Carbon with the storyline. Then I rose to being a regular Moderator. With this new site, I was labeled as the Community Manager for the wonderful community that we have here. Currently, as you can tell, I rose to become an Admin along with another great community member, Alpha Snake, and that's my current job here. As an administrator here, I want to make myself very open to all of you. If you have any concerns, comments, criticisms, or suggestions, please feel free to talk to me. I'm very cooperative and open minded, and I'm extremely willing to talk at any time. If there's some issue that you might have, we can always work through it and come up with a solution. If you have a suggestion for the site, I am open to all ideas and will consider them carefully as long as they're valid. I take all criticism really well and use it to my advantage, so feel free to lay it on me. My only goal for this site is that I make things extremely comfortable for any member we might have. I want to provide the best experience for users that I can. I want things to run as smoothly as possible and I'm always working toward that. While in my time as an Admin we have made some changes that very much aid in that goal of mine. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy everything the site has to offer and I'm looking forward to slaying some more Zombies with all of you in this next year.
