  • Mad Max Preview

    Ryan R.

Mad Max is an upcoming post-apocalyptic game set in an open world environment and based on the Mad Max film series. It is being developed by Avalanche Studios (Same creators of Just Cause).  As a big fan of the original films release was back in 1979, 81, 85 and a reboot coming in May 2015.  I was excited to see a release of a game based on one of my favorite movie series as a child.

From what we have seen the game looks to follow most guidelines set by the movies.  It’s a barren desert, seems like an Australia set world.  Just like the movie.  Upon release of the first trailer we learned the main character has an American accent.  Many people were out raged, the movies main character (Mel Gibson) had an Australian accent.  Avalanche quickly responded and said they will redo the voice animations of the main character.  A very critical part of the story line.  The games plot is Max’s journey in retrieving his beloved vehicle “The Interceptor” Which is his sidekick for the movie. Not much more in known of the game, they have done a good job of keeping the story line hidden for us which is a good thing. The game will be single player only, which for me is a tough decision.  The ability to go around in gangs online would have been an awesome addition to the game.  Sadly we won’t see that, I hope the base single player game lives up to the movie series.  Full of action, violence and drama.

Vehicle customizing seems to be a big part of the game.  In the movies each character has their own unique vehicle.  Each having their on armor, weapons, looks.  I’m exciting to see the custom vehicles we will be able to come up with.  I expect loads on armor upgrades, weapons such as flame throwers, spikes, and guns.  All of these will influence how we battle enemies on the post-apocalyptic setting of the game.  Also weapons crafting will be implemented in the game.

Get ready to get your hand on the game 9/1/2015.  See you in the wasteland.

Let me know what you’re excited for in this upcoming release.  Leave your comments below.

I'm still around, still playing Zombies all the time, and loving it. Recent lore developments on Astra got me in my feels. Shout out to Tac, Slade, and everyone here who paved the way for this insane little world we've all enjoyed.

Amidst the dark and eerie night
A choice to make – to run or fight?
      The undead horde approaches fast
Armed with weapons, till the very last
In Call of Duty: World at War - Zombies
The battle for survival never ceases
A test of skill, courage and wits
As waves of zombies just never quits
Blood-soaked grounds and a burning sky
The stakes are high, the danger nigh
But in this game, we rise above
To conquer the undead with brute, tough love
With finger on the trigger and heart in hand
We face the terror, and take a stand
For in this game, we live or die
With Call of Duty: World at War - Zombies, we must survive.

and later released worldwide on December 14, 2011.
The game features the same gameplay mechanics as its predecessor, with players fighting off waves of zombies as they try to survive for as long as possible. The game also includes a new storyline set in a Cold War-era Pentagon, with the characters from the original Zombies mode returning to fight off the undead.
The game allows for up to four players to play together via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, and also includes a single-player mode with a new leaderboard system to track high scores.
Call of Duty: Black Ops – Zombies received mixed reviews upon release, with critics praising the game's addictive gameplay and multiplayer functionality, but criticizing the graphics and lack of content compared to the console versions of the game. Despite this, the game was a commercial success, with over a million downloads in its first week of release.

    • Category: Games June 5, 2026 HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush: Race Beyond the Track Demonico Celenza, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush Game Director In HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush, we wanted to give players the experience of an open and dynamic adventure where speed, exploration, and creativity come together seamlessly. This initial idea guided the entire design process, ultimately leading us to create a Hot Wheels-sized world spanning across four themed islands that players can freely explore. Each island has its own distinct atmosphere: some areas feature dense road networks and towering skyscrapers, while others offer vast grasslands connected by suburban streets. We designed them as dynamic playgrounds where players can free-roam, smash through breakable objects, uncover hidden collectibles and interact with the surroundings, shaping their journey at their own pace. We designed the islands to capture an authentic “Hot Wheels feeling”, translating the brand’s iconic imagery both tangibly – through toy-like materials, soundscapes, and visual details – and conceptually, by enriching the world with classic playsets and signature assets. The progression itself is designed to foster curiosity, as players can decide how to move forward through the campaign by sky-jumping between islands, moving from high-intensity competitions to moments of discovery, collecting, or more unconventional activities. Traditional races are still there, but they naturally blend with a wide range of action-packed challenges. Some examples? A peaceful free-roam drive could suddenly turn into a head-to-head race against a random opponent, or a shortcut beneath a skyscraper might become a frantic dash to avoid collapsing debris raining down from above! The game features over 150 Hot Wheels vehicles across four distinct classes, each offering its own unique driving style and competitive edge. In traditional races, players face off against rivals within the same vehicle class, ensuring a balanced and tailored racing experience. Outside of racing, players are encouraged to experiment with different vehicles depending on the activity or challenge. Some vehicles feel more at home blasting through high-speed asphalt, while others excel at technical maneuvers, like drifting or specialized in-game events. To make exploration even more dynamic, players can build their own Rush Squad by picking their favorite Hot Wheels vehicles from each class, allowing them to instantly swap between vehicle types on the fly to adapt to any situation in the world. Alongside both Sticker and Livery editors, which  allow wheel customization, we’ve enhanced the Track Builder as well. Instead of manually adjusting the height of each piece to make it fit the terrain, players can keep track modules “locked” to the ground, so they naturally follow the surface as they’re placed in sequence. On top of that, players can  teach virtual opponents to race on their tracks by placing action markers that define the path, turning creations into fully playable races that can be shared with the community.  All of this has been built on the same idea: capturing the fast and creative spirit of Hot Wheels while giving players freedom to experiment, create, and bring the Hot Wheels world to life in endless new ways. That’s all for now, but I can’t wait to tell you more in the next few months. Stay tuned and get ready, as HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush launches on XBOX Series X|S on September 24, 2026. .post-template-default .xwsrc-block-content-block .wp-block-column.flex-basis-50.push--25.column--content { flex: 100%; margin-left: 0; } Related Stories for “HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush: Race Beyond the Track” Category: Games Welcome Back, 47: HITMAN Classic Trilogy Remastered Revealed – Coming 2027 Category: Games RuneScape: Dragonwilds Soars onto XBOX on September 15, 2026 Category: Games Unite to Survive in Crossfire, a Narrative-Driven, Tactical Action-Adventure from That’s No Moon The post HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush: Race Beyond the Track appeared first on XBOX Wire. • Until now, Kratos was the primary star of every God of War game. However, his late wife, Faye, is taking the spotlight in God of War Laufey. But when Faye picks up her sword, veteran God of War fans may recognize the influence that the original Greek trilogy had on her fighting style. "I think that because we started with the idea, like we knew it was going to be a Faye game, we had a Faye model. We couldn't just put Kratos animations on her," God of War Laufey director Ariel Lawrence told GameSpot. "It just wouldn't make sense. Her body wouldn't move that way. But I think being able to look back to the Greek era [where] Kratos had a little bit more of an acrobatic nature [helped]." "We still have folks in the studio who've worked on those games," added Lawrence. "So I think this was, 'What if we did this, but this is the person we have executing this, and how would that work and what things could we borrow, what things could we expand on?' That's the fun part of development--just seeing where it can go." As seen in the first footage from the game, Faye won't be alone as she explores the Everywhen, the hostile afterlife of the gods. She will be joined by a talking gelatinous cube named Phranque, as voiced by The Boys’ Jack Quaid. Faye's other companion is Rue (Perlina Lau), a ribbon that is attached to her new sword. Daredevil: Born Again's Deborah Ann Woll is reprising her role as Faye from God of War: Ragnarok. Although God of War Laufey doesn't have Kratos in the lead, Sony Santa Monica has promised that there will be more stories about him in the future. God of War Laufey will be released on PlayStation 5, but the game doesn't have a release date at this time. View the full article
