Now once again, with @EricMaynard, @Bench_Appearo, and myself (as well as several others) having spend an inordinate amount of hours on it over the past few weeks, I tell you today that, just as with our previous venture into Apothicon, this was not the case. In fact, we had barely scratched the surface of the Keeper Language. WHAT WE KNEW: At first glance, it would seem we had more information about Keeper than was the case with Apothico

  2. O snap. I don’t even know what to say. Other than I love u Lenne. I really, really wanna write like, a college essay length thread just talking about how much the Zombies story has meant to me, just breaking down the symbolism and archetypes and everything. It’s truly, in my opinion, the BEST, and best-TOLD, fictional story I’ve ever experienced. Almost half my life has been spent loving it, and learning from and growing up with it. not to be all Cliché either but I could have totally killed myself at some point if I didn’t have such an open-arms yet tight-knit conspirac

  3. Thanks everyone who voted. It really is a great honour. I've been using this site since 2010 and eventually created an account a year or so later to actually participate (I was a bit forum shy before then) and loved every minute. I lost interest in the game mode around BO3. Just felt the game leaned on the Mob/Origins mechanics too much and all the maps felt the same. The variety that came with BO2 in particular was replaced with a generic style. The side quests were also mostly pointless story drivel and the mystery within maps non existent. The spoon fed story and bizzare turn i

Over the last few months, the CODZ YouTube team has been working hard to grow the CODZ Community's visibility in the YouTube sphere, with aims of bringing more attention, and passionate zombies fans to the forum and Discord discussions. Our ambition as administrators of a channel on behalf of this ancient and storied forum is to find a balance between recognizable leadership that will be recognizable to new visitors (currently the cast of *Podcast

Selecting just a few leaves me with a bit of uneasy feeling, but I have come to understand that User of the Month is truly about showing appreciation and not about glory coming from popularity. I really appreciate everyone around, with no exception. There are certain people who deserve a shout-out for their recent great work: @Rapt has brought many interesting ideas to the (sacrifice) table, with threads such as "The kronorium should be read upside down", with great attention to smaller details that have significance in

  6. Latin in zombies is one of the most interesting yet overlooked concepts in zombies. From uses of Latin in hidden notes in Kino to the names main crews of the storyline, the Latin language takes an undeniable part in zombies. Today I want to focus on Latin songs in zombies as well as the campaign, with a bigger focus on zombies of course. I will talk about 3 songs: Ego Vivo, Agnus Dei, and Dies Irae. Ego Vivo Ego Vivo plays during the Shadowman bossfight the SoE Easter Egg. It also plays during the BO3 campaign mission "Demon within" during the T

The first subject we will discuss are the parallels between the Apothicons and Lovecraft's Mi-Go and Nyarlathotep. After that we will talk about how the Apothicon Overlords could very well be more ancient Elder Gods already existing in the Aether before the Apothicons, the corrupted alien race, came. After that we will discuss the parallels between the Apothicons and Bibical demons and finally, there will be an advocate for why the Apothicons might not be as e

For starters, I want to announce that the project itself will consist of multiple maps that take place after the supposed ending that was Tag Der Toten on BO4. That leads to multiple questions I'm sure, but you must bare with me as I won't simply reveal everything to you all at once, I mean come on this is the Zombies community after all, if I just gave you all the answers there'd be no fun in that! First off, I thank @Lioss10, @Tac, @RadZakpak, @PINNAZ, @NotAnAn0n, @anonymous, and @RichKiller for helping me bounce around theories on Discord and/or supply details to help me with finer details I missed. This post will only be discussing the Vril Artifacts themselves, not so much the actual Vril Energy. We have encountered several Vril Artifacts throughout the Zombies Storyline, although most came to a point at Moon. In Black Ops 2 there was little to no emphasis on Vril Artifacts, instead focusing on the Global Polarization Devices (which can be considered to be conduits for Vril themselve

Now let's begin: As you might know, the depiction of the Great War on the wall in the secret city beneath Morg City, shows something that matches the most with the shape of a pyramid building. We were teased about winning the Great War, defeating Dr. Monty, all that jazz. Hell, even Alpha Omega's ending told us we were in for a big fight. 20. Tag Der Toten has a very interesting "Secret" Easter Egg. We see Mars up close as we hear "Paraphony", the Shangri-La intro music plays. Now, obviously this is a very famous fan theory (especially on CoDZ) but it seems weird for them to do so much work to create a whole skybox just for this one secret. The modern story is very obvious with how it refers to Agartha as above us, being heaven, the Dark Aether as below us, being hell, and us in between on Earth. What if it is more literal than we think?. . We'll get

This is the beginning of a theory of mine which explains how the Primis timeline exists and the unfortunate fate of not only our heroes but the entirety of existence itself. The Origins outro cutscene is somewhat confusing still, 7 years later. The idea that Samantha is playing with model toys of the Ultimus crew has always intrigued me. We see that Eddie and Sam argue about who’s turn it is to take control of their game. This is oddly sy

What always striked me, is that the style of drawing is different between Black Ops I + Nuketown Zombies if you compare it to those of the Black Ops II Victis maps. Artstyle 1 Artstyle 2 As you can see, the BO1+NKZ comic pages look more childish and colourful, while Die Rise and Buried's look more realistic. One of these organizations that is often forgotten is the Majestic 12, introduced in the first chapter of the Black Ops series. Not to be confused with the Hateful 8, the Majestic 12 is a purported organization that appears in UFO conspiracy theories. It is claimed to be the code name of an alleged secret committee of scientists, military leaders, and government officials to facilitate recovery and investigation of extraterrestrial beings and technology. It reaches for some things and presumes others - a dangerous combination when trying to write a good zombies theory - but it's so damn interesting, I've been working on it on and off for months on gathering information about it, and even if there's a kernel of truth, it might just change everything. The underscript gives a short summary about the location's role in the story or how why decided to place the location at that point. Most of these factorizations, make sense, like Keeper being good/fortunate^2 and Apothicon being evil/bad/misfortunate^2, some of them are quite insightful like how the Keepers apparently view time as a resource, and a few of them don't really make sense or maybe I'm missing a meaning. 37. So, since before the map came out, people were curious about a trophy that popped up on PS4 for Tag der Toten. It reads: In Tag der Toten, find the secret. welp, they found the secret. There’s a weird lonely iceberg with a pool of water that a few very lucky players have gotten to. I’ve seen people use Anywhere but Here and arrive there, but it seems like the “real” way to get there is to have the upper flinger throw you directly there. I’m not sure if it’s yet known exactly how to trigger this or if it’s RNG, but it has happened to some people.

It seems, however, that we have always ignored the existence of another well-known one: the conspiracy in which some Nazi fanatics fled to South America from where they planned to re-establish their Third Reich. The conspiracy that told us Hitler’s death was faked, as he was actually among those fled Nazi’s. Now I believe we’ve found proof for this theory in the Aether’s very last map, Tag der Toten. It could be real physical places, like Meh said, but in that case I'd wonder why of all places on Earth exactly those places? Carl Sagan's 'Flatland' describes this phenomenon fairly well. In it he explains how a third dimension is not only inconceivable but impossible to perceive by the two-dimensional senses of the inhabitants of the flat land. When a 3D being enters the 2D realm, any 2D, which he calls Flatlander, can perceive only one layer of the 3D being, changing as it enters the 2D realm further. Here are vi
