Chapter 2 really has that enticing imagery going on...and I'm a sucker for medieval imagery. :tounge_xd:

Also, noticed an error in Chapter 2:

I swear I googled the average male weight and that's what it was, since I don't know metric well. I probably read the number backwards or something.

As for Mississippi, that is definitely a part of it, and also I wanted to illustrate the diversity of Group 935 when it began.

Yeah well, 84 kg could very good be the average weight for men. For women I think its like 65 kg. What's an average weight in pounds?

Somewhere around 180 for men and 160 for women. The issue is corrected now with a new number.

Yesh! The Illuminati! That's what I missed in the old Book 1

Well folks, here is chapter 4 of Book 1, Success: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/story/book1ch4

I'm sorry for the really long wait and very slow releases. Truth is I think I'm a little burnt out writing about Ultimis, probably because it's pretty much all I've written about so far. I think I'm going to start writing in a non-linear fashion, just writing what I feel most interested in at the moment, because I think that makes them better and I should write more often that way. I also want to slow down the releases a bit, and try to release several chapters at once. Starting a chapter then dropping it for something else can be frustrating and jarring for the reader and I want to try and release clusters of chapters that make something satisfying rather than one at a time with a completely unknown amount of time between.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter, and don't worry, I will get back to Book 1 when I'm back in the mood. I have a basic outline of every chapter I want in the entire book.

I had a very good read. I am really fund on the scientific explanations (elemental composition from radiation of an element holding 115 protons) and that part about their school years. Was fun. Looking forward to a next chapter, does not matter what book. I am curious to any story (Ultimis, Victis, Primus, etc). What book do you feel like working on the most?

I'm most intersted in doing Book 4 (Primis) and Tales right now. But I may mix it up just to keep myself from getting into a rut.

Hey guys, I'm back with some new chapters I've been working on (Shocking, I know.)

Here's Chapter 5: "Infernal Rite", Chapter 6: "Great Science", and Chapter 7: "Extraterrestrial".

ALSO, here is Chapter 1 of Book 4, entitled "A Guide To The Universe". I wouldn't consider this an official start to the Primis story, as I am still mapping that out. But I went ahead and made this introductory chapter starring Monty, and I really just wanted opinions on how I portrayed Monty and if I did a good enough job in establishing how the multiverse works in layman's terms. I want the chapter to be a good explanation of the Keepers, the Apothicons, Agartha, the Aether, and the fractured multiverse, and I am no expert on the subject. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable on the subject can offer a better way to explain it.

As always, I will be back.

Great! I like it how Monty's story summarizes the events happened prior, in Book 1, 2 and 3. In this way, Book 4 will continue the Anthagony excellently.

Oh, one small request. In the old chapter of Extraterrestrial, the Apothicans in Richthofen's head say "Coming home". That quote gave me the chills, really. Would you mind putting that quote back into it? Furthermore, awesome work as always, Rad

Thanks! And I do vaguely remember the Coming Home line but the latest version of the old storybook doesn't have the line either and I'm not sure why. Where was the line specifically? I'm guessing near the end as he's trying to talk to the natives. I think my reasoning for changing that was to add in the "destruction of your world" line since we now know the Shadowman is in his head. But I'll fit in that line too because I agree it was fitting.

EDIT: I looked through the original and the line was actually in the Rebellion chapter when they complete Griffin Station.

Hey everyone, really long time no see. I have good news and bad news. The good news is, despite the hiatus, I am not giving up on this project. Honestly, I think about potential story threads and character encounters all the time. But, with every yin, there is a yang, and the truth is I am overwhelmed with school work more so than previous semesters, and for that reason the hiatus will probably continue. It seems worrying that I have not released a full chapter since July 26th, if you could even count that Monty intro as a full chapter. But there is a multiverse chapter centered around Takeo that I did some work on during a short bout of free time, but I have had very little of it since to finish it.

I hate to just pop in, empty-handed, to say that I'm busy again. So I will leave you with some behind-the-scenes preliminary stuff I've written that will hopefully spark some interest in the project again. As always, criticisms and suggestions are encouraged. Better to get them out now than after I've already written them I suppose.

First I present a rough draft of the first chapter of Honor's Suffering. It is meant to tell Takeo's story at Division 9's Island facility right up until the events of Zetsubou No Shima. You will notice it ends very abruptly because I had to go to class and never got around to finishing it. So note this is a first draft and partially incomplete.

This is the outline for chapters 1-7 of Honor's Suffering, going into detail on the plot of each chapter. I was really looking forward to writing this one and hope to at some point soon.

Here is the outline for the first 8 chapters of Book 3. I wrote these out when I was really invested in Victis' story, and I really did look forward to expanding on them since they are not characterized in the game very well and I have a lot of freedom to take them where I want.

Here is the outline for all 45 chapters of Book 1 after chapter 7. Yep, I planned that far ahead. These are fairly basic but that is mostly because I based it around the events of the timeline.

I also have the last set of chapters for Book 4 planned out in detail. Why am I not showing them here? Well, they're too awesome to be shown as just an outline. I think the experience would be spoiled if I just revealed what I had planned for them as they have me very excited. So maybe a while down the road when I get around to Book 4 and get to the end, I will be able to write out those chapters.

Anyway, I hope this all made up for the hiatus, just a little bit. I am not giving up on this project. I am already too invested. Let's just hope Treyarch's next game doesn't flip everything I think I know upside down again

Whoa, those stories are really pretty. The Honor's Suffering storyline is very good: The emphasis lays on horrific experiments, the abuse of nature and questionable ethics. I also like the fact that this story is merely something small that happened in the Grand Scheme of the Zombie Story, yet you have worked it out and created a true story of it.

The story of Victis is epic as well: I like it how it starts with "some zombies on the street" which turns out to be a global apocalypse later. Something that you have not mentioned, but you might want to add in a chapter as side information, is the breakdown of Earth's governments, facilities, etc (chaos in the UN HQ, floods in coastral areas, people who fled to islands, megacities (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megacity) that are overrun by the undead, military performance that fails, etc). On the other hand, not talking about it gives the story a pretty neat "Mystery" and "Ignorance" feeling: The survivors have lost all contact with the rest of the world and are really on their own now.

I am in the last grade of pre-university education: My activity on the site is decreased as well. The year turns out to be harder then I initially thought, but I also like it because after 6 years, the entire class became a really close group. Anyway, good to hear from you Rad, and good to know the story is still WIP. And remember, there is no obligation: Work on it only when you feel like.

Alot of luck!

Hello, everyone! I'm back with a new chapter in Book 1. I've given the outline of the story some thought and I wanted to expand the scope of Book 1 to be more inline with what I have planned for the other books. As it stood before, Book 1 was the more boring as it was all set-up and all taking place in pretty much the same locations with Richtofen and maybe Maxis a little too as the only main characters. I am broadening the scope to have the stories of Peter McCain, Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, and Takeo Masaki be more expanded on, and I am proud to release the first chapter involving Peter McCain, which ties directly in with the adjacent chapters. I would also recommend re-reading the other chapters as well as I have added new information to further flesh them out and have corrected some errors in later chapters.

Anyway, without further ado, here is Chapter 3 of Book 1, Schlaukopf.

Quote

Behind enemy lines, the plucky and cock-sure OSS agent, Peter McCain, is in search of information that could help prevent the advancement of the brewing world war. Assisted by his handler, Cornelius Pernell, Peter must use his skills in espionage to acquire intelligence and uncover secrets on the Germans' plans for war.

Also, there is a good amount of German in this chapter, so if someone fluent in the language can let me know if I am way off on some of the grammar and how I could fix it, that would be great.

w00t w00t! A new chapter! You cant even imagine how happy I always am when a new part of the story is released. I post this comment just on impuls after reading of your update, so I haven't read the update yet, but I'll definately will. @Mods: the teleport button in the book still show the old chapters, while when clicking on "next chapter", you get the new chapters.

I also just thought about how huge this project actually is. The story of a very popular game (mode), with countless followers/players, being described in the formaat of a book. Not just an informative book, but a real nice to read story. One with characters with interesting characterisms, one with jokes, one with complete descriptions of the environment and atmosphere, and one in which we get a view in the heads of the characters. And that while all what you write is either canon or described in such way that it could be canon. If you dont mind, I'm going to try to make contact with Treyarch. I'm sure the zombie developers would be very proud on their creation when reading your CoDZ Tales.

Keep up the good work, and dont make my words hurry you. Work on it when you feel like.

Thank you for the kind words. The teleport button on mobile has never really worked and I’m not sure why so I haven’t been updating chapter names lately.

Update: Upon looking into it it was an error on my part, as the URL wasn't going to the correct location. It should be fixed now.

Yeah, its all fixed now. BTW, about Book 2: I know Blundell kinda changed the BO1 story a bit by introducing Richthofen's diary in Der Riese and Ascension, in the timeline, and removing Richthofen's space outfit in ZC Ascension. My personal opinion: Keep your Book 2 the way it currently is. I like your story and reason why Ultimis travels to the Ascension cosmodrome more than Blundells reason. Keep it to Zielinski's story, and keep Richthofen wear the space suit. In short: Dont change anything in your Book 2.

And would you mind adding the FIVE chapters to the Storybook pages?

While I agree the reason they go to Ascension isn’t really solid, I want to try to stick to the  canon as closely as possible, warts and all. But, I could always add a “Legends” section with all the old Book 2 material because it would be a shame to see it all go to waste as I have to rework almost everything. Trust me though, I have sone good new content planned to go with the new canon version.

Also, about “Five”, I’m in the process of tweaking those chapters slightly to be posted again and finished this time.

Hey guys, I'm back with the updated and completed Attack on the Pentagon arc of Tales from the Multiverse.

Here's Chapter 1. Chapters 2-5 are on the sidebar. I'm really happy with how this one turned out and it even has a little foreshadowing to another arc I want to do down the road.

As always let me know your feedback and criticism. With this series I wanted to be really cheesy with the dialogue since the whole thing is kind of ridiculous. Like I know zombies is usually ridiculous, but "FIVE" and the characters in it are very inherently funny and goofy so that's the tone I went for.

Nice work. I am fund on the whole Cold War admosphere that the story gives, the hints to Broken Arrow and even quite some Black Ops campaign references. Also nice done with the conspiracy stuff, about Griffin Station, Groom Lake and the times of the US and SU governments with former Nazi technology.

Btw, a lovely 2018!

Over the past week or so I have been adding to and adjusting the outline for book 1 and I should start going all in on chapters again soon hopefully. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you all every synopsis for every Tales from the Multiverse arc I have planned, including a new one based around that recently released full Pack-a-Punch jingle! They are as follows:

Night of the Undead

Four lone marines once serving under Sergeant Raines have crashed nearby a foggy, desolate airfield deep within Germany. Though the war is over, there is something within the fog still hunting them... Their mission to escort a spy into Group 935 has turned to a fight for survival in a concrete bunker against hordes of undead Nazis. They had driven them deep into the heart of the Reich. They thought they were dead. They were wrong.

Extraction at the Asylum

With their Corporal, "Tank" Dempsey, and their sergeant nowhere to be found, John "Banana" and Smokey must fight to survive the day in the hellish nightmare that is Verruckt, Group 935's asylum facility. They discover the real reason the asylum was abandoned, and attempt to make contact with the outside world as they fight through waves of undead, mangled and tortured in life and hungry for their flesh in death.

Attack on the Pentagon

Four of the world's most influential figures meet inside the Pentagon to discuss a peaceful end to a Cold War, but only find themselves fighting for their lives to survive a horror long-since thought to be gone. Join John F. Kennedy, Robert McNamara, Fidel Castro, and Richard Nixon as they uncover secrets about the source of this apocalypse, as well as secrets about each other.

Trouble in Khe Sanh

Years following the events of "Attack on the Pentagon", Sergeant Frank Woods and a team of America's most qualified Black Ops agents have united on a mission deep into the jungles of Vietnam where a plague is said to have wiped out an entire village of people. There Woods and his team uncover technologies beyond their comprehension and a whole new breed of enemy.

Call of the Dead

A story of four lone survivors, one forsaken crew, and a shipload of the undead. The bone-chilling tale inspired by legendary director George Romero! It's anchors away for brain-splattering action! The actors of George Romero's modern zombie thriller by the name of Call of the Dead, are thrust into a zombie story more real than they could have predicted. Danny Trejo, Sarah Michell Gellar, Robert Englund, and Michael Rooker fight to survive in the bitter cold of Siberia, traversing a wrecked ship from the second world war. Along the way, they are contacted by a mysterious group locked inside the secret facility hidden beneath an old lighthouse. Lost and confused, they follow the voices' instructions, and search for a way to save the director and pop-culture legend George Romero from his zombie mania!

Don of the West Coast

America is in crisis as Prohibition has inspired a plethora of crime on the streets of its most populated cities. Big game alcohol and prostitution kingpins like Salvatore DeLuca run these streets, instilling fear and respect from its law enforcement and civilians alike. San Francisco is Sal's home turf, and someday he hopes to pass it on to his own flesh and blood, his son. Under his wing are his constituents like Finn O'Leary, a loyal arm of Sal's mafia and a proprietor of his own brew of whiskey. Albert Arlington, the conniving, smart weasel in charge of Sal's money laundering and dirty finances. Not to mention Sal's most loyal member of the DeLuca crime family, Billy Handsome, a violent and brutal psychopath willing to do any depraved action in Sal's name. With criminals as experienced and powerful running San Francisco, who can stop them?

Mob of the Dead

Charged on accounts of murder, prostitution, money laundering, gambling, and the sale of alcohol, Sal DeLuca, Finn O'Leary, Albert Arlington, and Billy Handsome are sent to Alcatraz to live out their days. Not content to die on the Rock, however, they concoct a plan so bold it may just work. Spearheaded by Albert Arlington, the mobsters find themselves constructing a plane on the roof of the prison in an attempt to escape back to San Francisco. But without any memory, they have found themselves in a cycle of fighting, escaping, and dying in a metaphorical Hell; Alcatraz is filled to the brim with undead officers and prisoners set to devour the living. Unsure where to go next, the mobsters must unravel the mystery behind the nightmare and discover their true purpose in this cycle.

Whispers of Morg City

Contacted by the allusive Mr. Rapt, a young reporter is thrust on a journey into the mysterious and alluring Morg City, filled with night-life and a creeping air of mystery in equal parts. For a price, the reporter assists the old-timer in finding ancient artifacts lost in the war-torn Pacific Ocean, uncovering dirt of Morg City's finest and strangest, and transporting mysterious magical crates through the city. The longer he stays there, the more he realizes Morg City is shrouded in evil beyond his mortal understanding.

Shadows of Evil

Following the reporter's mysterious and untimely demise, Mr. Rapt set out to sabotage the careers of a few lost souls in Morg City; The eccentric, selfish dark magician Nero Blackstone, the underdog boxer and cheater Floyd Campbell, the man-murdering seductress Jessica Rose, and corrupt, loud mouth cop Jackie Vincent. Following their most heinous crimes, the four souls were transported into a warped, Lovecraftian version of Morg City, contacted by an ominous, beckoning voice from the deceitful figure known as the Shadow Man. They must uncover the secrets held within Morg City and follow the Shadow Man's demands if there is any hope of them escaping with their souls...

Suffering of Honor

On direct orders from the Emperor himself, Takeo Masaki sets out on a observatory mission at a Pacific Island occupied by Japan's Division 9. At this island facility, Takeo witnesses true horror and pain caused by Division 9's actions. Deeply disturbed, Takeo finds himself troubled and with a desire for justice against the dishonorable scientists meddling with nature on this island.

Revenge of the Russian

As the Germans have taken grip of Stalingrad, Group 935 has established a research base within the city to create more horrific methods of attack against the Soviets continuing to fight. After delivering a prototype Russian wonder weapon to an American spy, dedicated Russian soldier Viktor Reznov and his partner in the fight against Germany, Nikolai Belinski, are dug in deep within Stalingrad, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike against the German, General Lehmkuhl, who led the siege on the city and the bombing of Nikolai's home, where his wife lied peacefully in her bed. Reznov must persuade his drunk and forlorn ally to assist him in his mission for revenge.

Ballad of Jeb Brown

Elijah Dempsey, grandfather to the bad-ass American war hero "Tank" Dempsey, leads a mining team based in a small, old western town in the USA. Upon returning home one afternoon, he finds the place has been ransacked and his brother's Union army revolver, a sentimental memory of his brother's death at the battle of Gettysburg, has been stolen. Without any help from the Sheriff, Elijah imparts the help of the town's mad blacksmith, Jeb Brown, to track down the robber and recover the gun. Through his conversations, he learns of Jeb's troubled past and the true purpose of the rocks he's been mining. Armed with technology created through Jeb's genius and mysterious, unknown forces, Eli sets out to track down the robber and bring him swift justice.

Hope you guys look forward to these, I know I do. If you have any ideas for others, please let me know! Some stories like Yuri and Gersch at Ascension will be incorporated into the main books as they pertain to those stories, but anything else, feel free to share ideas!

Niiiiceee! I really look forward to these! Trouble in Khe Dang is an unexpected one. It is related in some way with the BO mission S.O.G. and the Pentagon outbreak, I guess? Also, is the mining town of Jeb Brown in/near Groom Lake, Nevada (at least, I guess so with the 115 mine). That would be pretty interesting, and I'm also curious how you will describe Jeb's "angels/mysterious forces".

A question: Have "Night of the Undead", "Extraction at the Asylum" and "Call of the Dead" multiple chapters? Because otherwise they could easily be put in Book 1 & 2. Anyways, if you ever need information of something (e.g. a detailed description of an Easter Egg, a explanation for something you cannot think of any, etc) just ask the community.

I look forward to it!

Like the Jeb Brown story being based on the new song lyrics, the Frank Woods Vietnam story is based on the fairly innocuous poster found at Raven Software:

And yes, if the timeline works out, this will be a prequel to the SOG mission, and might explain why Woods looks like, as Mason puts it, hammered shit. Also the 115 tattoo on his arm.

The Buried town may very well be  near Nevada, but will be described as being somewhere in the American midwest as they were mostly territories at the time.

The nacht and verruckt chapters I only really had one planned, so I may do just that. Call of the Dead I have a bit more planned since the map is so big and there’s secrets to explore.
