This is all from Classified/Alpha Omega apart from the bit in 1973 which was the original timeline.

Hang on, I totally forgot, was the Elemental Shard already a thing at the time the Timeline was released? Because it was never mentioned in BO3 right?

EDIT: Stupid me, ignore this comment. It was in the comics

Eagle's Nest: We have an update, over.

At the suggestion of @EL3MENTAL 115 I've added the mention of Pablo being within a pocket dimension in Tag to the following entry:

Sometime after October 13th, 1945

Pablo Marinus awakens within a pocket dimension to find the Siberian Facility overrun by undead. Every time he attempts to escape, he is pulled back towards the lighthouse.

Also, big update incoming. I'm going to slowly go through and add sources to entries I made so that A. People can verify from a primary source whether I'm full of it or not, and B. People can get the full picture by reading/listening to those primary sources. I've added a good deal already and there are plenty more to work on so patience is key here. I'm making a point also to make sure the audio files that get linked are from within my own google drive so they won't be lost to time. (Hopefully)

Added this date from a recent intel dropped on Treyarch's website regarding Mason:

January 8th, 1981 (Source)

Alex Mason receives a phone call from Jason Hudson who wants to get the old team back together. He is to report to Amsterdam to meet with Frank Woods and Russell Adler.

I'm working under the assumption right now that Cold War will slot right in between Black Ops and Black Ops 2 and not erase any canon, and unless that changes I will continue adding Cold War dates.

We got a new one. Probably another coming tomorrow with Hudson's profile:

January 13th, 1981 (Source)

Frank Woods learns about the legendary Soviet operative known as “Perseus” while in Trabzon, Turkey.

Nice, so the 'Turkey' and 'Black Sea' thing will be set in Trabzon eh?

Yesterday I was reminded about the Black Ops I Zombies menu, with Mason being captured in Room 6 while a zombie outbreak seems to occur. Checking the Timeline, Mason was interrogated between february the 23th and the 25th, 1968. Do you think that in the meantime, another zombie outbreak at the Pentagon occured? Or are it merely visions Mason sees due to his exposure to whatever MkUltra-ish interrogation serum (perhaps he has memories of zombies in Vietnam, projected on the room around him?)

Removed Cold War references from the updated timeline. I'm going to officially designate it as the Aether Timeline, with any dates from Cold War being added if they are directly implied to take place in the old multiverse. Fret not, though, as @DescentIntoDarkness is putting together a Dark Aether timeline with new Cold War campaign info, found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pwehz8JjUDpXVaO5W53xsriR1Mt1RyZuIWSXK9g_Se4/edit

It was recently pointed out to me by @KronoriumExcerptB that there are mentions of characters from Black Ops: Declassified in Black Ops 3's data vault. I was previously just going with the assumption that it was only semi-canon and not really worth adding to the timeline. But with KEB's bringing that up and the recent revelation that one of Cold War's multiplayer levels is based on the final mission of this game, I've given it more thought. I have added the following entries based on Declassified:

April 29th, 1975 - CHECKING OUT

Frank Woods is sent into Saigon to destroy Parable Machines.

1975 - AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL

Frank Woods is sent to Tan Son Nhut Air Base to recover a contingent of CIA Analysts being sent by the NVA to the KGB.

1976 - ACTIVE MEASURES

Alex Mason is sent into East Berlin to escort a Stasi defector with a vital Microfiche into West Berlin. The defector is killed, and Mason brings the Microfiche into West Berlin via an underground tunnel.

1976 - GOT YOUR BACK

Via the Microfiche, KGB Colonel Mikhail Belov is discovered to be coordinating spies in West Germany. Alex Mason is sent in to capture Belov for interrogation, but instead he attaches an explosive to his back and kills him.

Winter 1977 - THREE POINT LANDING

A team led by Frank Woods arrives at Mt. Yamantau where the KGB is reviving the Nova Project. Woods kills Steiner’s protege, Doctor Adolf Schlussel.

Winter 1977 - ROCKET’S RED GLARE

Using intel acquired at Yamantau, Hudson and Woods discover the KGB is planning to add prototype Nova 6 dispersal devices to ICBMs which are being tested near Mt. Elbrus. Woods destroys a missile being tested.

Winter 1977 - SELF DESTRUCTIVE

Against orders, Woods pursues rescuing a CIA operative captured during his mission to Yamantau. He discovers the operative dead, killed via Nova 6. Now knowing the base is a testing ground for Nova 6, Woods plants C4 on the Nova Reactors and escapes via a Hind.

July 19th, 1979 - OPS M.I.A.

Alex Mason is sent into Nicaragua to rescue a CIA Operative that has been captured by the KGB-supported forces.

December 27th, 1979 - ESCORT SERVICE

An operative working for the CIA and anti-Soviet Mujahadeen was captured by a Spetsnaz Unit in Kabul, Afghanistan as the Soviets began their intervention in the country. Alex Mason is sent to recover the operative.

May 21st, 1982 - HOSTILE TAKEOVER

A joint raid by the CIA and Contras in Nicaragua leads to the death of Cartel leader Jose Luiz Menendez. His son, Raul, survives and takes over.

January 12th, 1990

Special Agent Ryan Jackson is tasked with inquiring into the histories of Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson as recent events in Panama leave the Senate sub-committee wanting answers. Shortly after, on orders from the DCI, Ryan Jackson’s inquiry into the histories of Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson is suspended and the materials recovered are returned to top secret status.

What I find particularly interesting about Declassified is that it is told through the lens of Ryan Jackson, who is going over the files of Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson in 1990 due to a request by the Senate following events in Panama. If you're perceptive of Black Ops 2's story, you'll realize that this is only a couple of weeks after the invasion of Panama and the events of Suffer With Me, where Jason Hudson is killed, Alex Mason is presumed dead, and Woods loses his legs after a confrontation with Raul Menendez.

This is because Declassified is supposed to tell stories between BO1 and BO2, and it is teasing what is to come in BO2 (Menendez for instance). But this little tidbit about events in Panama leading into investigation about these three is especially poignant now that we know Suffer With Me JUST happened.

Something else to pull from this: Jackson is ordered to halt the investigation on this day after reaching the mission involving Menendez. Why is that? My theory: Menendez still has men in the CIA covering for him, and he doesn't want more attention put on him as he is building up Cordis Die and an attack on the US a couple of decades from then. It's been widely speculated that Hudson was Menendez's inside man, until his eventual death, so who's to say there aren't more?

I have added a ton of new sources to nearly every entry that needs it, and have added tags to every entry that tell you where information is sourced. With this, you can make your own decision whether to consider entries from the BO1 terminal, Black Ops: Declassified, or Cold War canon or not. I also fixed several dates marked incorrectly pertaining to the terminal due to mistakes on the wiki's part. Dates and sourced docunents from the terminal are directly from a data dump to ensure accuracy.
