Whiteout spot that is somewhat useful in search and rescue/destroy as I believe a bomb site is in this area.

Get on top of this rail, being careful not to go off the other side and fall in the water to your death.

Sprint forward onto the wood rail just behind the crates

Lean around the crates for a good sight line for protecting the bomb site.

Yea! Input. Thanks conviction.

Patched: You reminded me of something too. See that bottom picture? Right where you are looking. You can go to the dock to your left, hop onto a few of those pier supports that are standalone in the water and jump to and get under the part that he is looking at in that bottom picture; you would be under the dock at the bottom of those stairs.

I don't know if that has any practical value, but i thought I'd mention it.

3.22: added tidbits to Whiteout.

Note that the March update added Freefall to the regular maps. As of this time, inexplicably, the first dlc is still not in rotation. Though it had its own Safeguard option added.

Devastation DLC:

Unearthed (MW3 Dome reimaged)

Made to look slightly less boring than the original, this hated troll map returns. Now it has trailers with explosives around the map for a little added fun. The theme of the map is that it is where some of the Cryptids from Extinction were discovered and this is reflected in the special weapon, the killstreak, and the ambiance.

In the underground SW(?), there are closed-off mines where you can hear ambient Cryptid sounds emanating from the mines.

There are two doors that open when you come near, attached to tube/tunnels in NE.

There is a crane that you can ride.

There is a special weapon, Weapon X from the Extinction mode.

Killstreak: the cp calls in 3 Seekers from the extinction mode which run towards enemies and self destruct, killing any near enough and wounding those just out of lethal range. Careful as they can hurt you.

Special weapon and interactive crane: there is a large crane in the middle of the map. Use explosives to destroy the 3 'cable brakes' along the back of the crane arm. When the last is destroyed, the suspended cage will drop onto a truck back. Climb in the back to find the Weapon X and also to access the crane controls. The crane will close you in and move you across the map. If you use it again, it will return you to the original spot.

Weapon X: 10 shots, if you die, you lose it. RT (xbox) fires the gun, LT makes the green blob explode. If you don't detonate the blob, it will detonate shortly after it lands. This leaves a cloud of 'scorpion gas (extinction)' that hurts any in it.

Note: I find stuff on my own, but I looked this one up and found a video of our own LiamFTWinter giving out this information, so kudos to Liam for the help on this.

Egg hunt: find the giant meteor in the map. Look down below it from right next to it to find the Cryptid Egg.

No spots worth mentioning yet. This dlc is very restrictive, invisible barriers around everything like it's a Trollarch map pack.

Devastation DLC Map:

Ruins: this map is designed similar to Chasm, lots of ins and outs, ups and downs.

This map has a Predator theme, reflected in the ambiance (statue, skulls, predator face facade) and the killstreak.

Special killstreak 1: Predator suit. Similar to the Maniac/Michael Myers, this is called in, picked up, but now you are in Predator mode; using your arm blades and shoulder gun to get kills. Extra health, no healing. Left Trigger switches between regular sight and special thermal sight. Gun needs to lock on, Incog seems to stop the lock on.

Killstreak 2: Fallout from the background volcano. Rain a little fire and brimstone on those evil enemies.

Egg hunt: in the south east, just out of the map is a small structure that has the Cryptid Egg in it. Go to the eastern lobes that stick out of the map, from the southern one, you can easily see into the structure that houses the Egg.

Some pathetic spots: find the main helicopter body middle south, slightly east. At the rear of it is a stick, jump at it until you get on it (or jump on the low rock, then on the stick). You are now on that low ledge of little value. Make your way west to the darkest corner. You may also simply jump on the ledge in some spots. Also can be dropped to from above.

North east dark corner: go up the stone ramp look south. There is a door frame below you with a panther (?) Head sticking out of it, you can drop onto that door frame/head.

Devastation DLC Map:

Collision: this map is a freight ship that has collided with a bridge. It is a boring arena map surrounded by invisible barriers and the area outside the map looks way more fun to play in.

There are 2 pointless breachable spots. Both in the middle area, one towards the north west, one to the north east.

Special killstreak: A10 strafing run. The plane pilots itself for 2 runs while you fire cannons and missiles.

Spots: find the middle grey roof area. Note the 2 ducts that let you drop grenades, tacticals from above. Look NE to the American flag. With difficulty, you can jump to the corner to it's left. You can also jump to an invisible ledge to it's right; run/jump at the middle of the 3 brown boards to the right of the flag. You should be floating against the wall.

Head to the western corner of this roof area. You should be looking at road debris on top of one of the breachable areas. Look at the blue container with the boards sticking out. Jump to the farthest edge of the nearest boards protruding from the debris above the container. You should land on boards/pavement for another unexciting spot.

Egg hunt: go towards the bridge in the NE. Find the taxi, from the driver's side, walk to the square piece of broken asphalt leaning against the guard rail/edge of map. Look between the rails at the bottom edge of the bridge, by the water line for the egg.

Devastation DLC Map:

Behemoth: this is a small, long map set on top of a giant digger. Another restrictive map surrounded by invisible barriers. Probably good for Blitz, Domination. While i do like the triangle domination flag layout, I'm also a fan of the linear designed flag layout, which this offers.

Special killstreak: be the gunner on the side of a helicopter. This is essentially the Helo Scout only with a minigun with explosive rounds. You move the heli and fire the minigun. Presumably it times out, you could be shot out of it like the HS, and most likely has an upper kill limit as well.

Egg hunt: go to the western end of the map. Head east along the northern edge until you get to the part of the railing that sticks out to the north (next to large yellow support). Get in that area, look west and down for the egg.

Spots: from the eastern end, head west until you get to the tiny room with north and south stairs. Either steps, get on the western rail, jump west onto an invisible ledge protruding from the small yellow column. Jump to each column, or onto the grey box's edge next to them. On the far side of the grey box is also a round pivot/joint full of bolts that you can jump on with difficulty. Again, nothing of real value.

Devastation thoughts: this is a low quality map pack. Hopefully this is the black sheep of dlc and the others will be of better quality. Dlc1 was fine, this one is kind of lacking.

To Activision/Iw/Treyarch: the difference between 'fan favorite' and 'troll' map; since you've both thrown the term 'fan favorite' around and have been using it wrong, let me set you straight.

Fan favorite: examples: Standout/Estate. A map that is very popular, rarely voted against, and those who vote against it stay anyway. Sure, we all get a little sick of seeing them, but they are good enough that we stay anyway.

Troll map: examples: mw3 Dome, Nuketown (and 2025). Vehemently loved by a small minority that will always vote for it. Reviled by the community. Vote wars ensue every time that it comes up. Half the lobby leaves when it gets voted. Games tend to end in host dashboarding. These should never be in the game. Putting a Dome remake in DLC2 will hurt sales way more than help sales. Definitely hurt the overall game by adding this shit. (note: do not reprint Bootleg, Hardhat, and please leave Rust in the nostalgic past).

Unearthed: Troll map reprint. Stuff added to draw more players to it. While arguably better than the original, it is small, restrictive, no pro spots, and reviled by the community. Fail.

Ruins: clearly the selling point of dlc2. I like it, that being said, there is so much wasted potential; what should be pro spots are instead invisible barriers. Even the edge of the map should just let you fall to your death, but nope, more saddening invisible barriers. Watching graphics load around each corner is sad.

Collision: fire someone over this shit hole of a map. As a multimillion dollar gaming franchise, you should be embarrassed to peddle this garbage.

Pro spots? Nope.

Outside the map, more interesting than the actual map? Yes.

Invisible barriers galore? Yes.

Twitchy graphics that stop your movement? Yes.

Bland, boring, arena-like? Yes.

This is a bo1 map. Disgusting. No excuse, someone needs to be fired/demoted.

Behemoth: too small for cod. Advertised that one could easily fall to your death, yet it is impossible to fall off of.

Pro spots? Nope.

Boring, arena-like restrictive map? Yes.

Overall, a fairly disheartening product in DLC2.

Please learn from this mistake and remedy the flaws of dlc 3/4 before peddling more arena maps that hurt the game.

Thanks for reading, this needed to be said.

Happy gaming!

Edit: and how about some camp spots? Like at the ends of the maps for us who camp 1 versus 11 (2-10) and love the Safeguard mode.

In regular games, campers would only do well if people were dumb enough to keep going over and feeding them kills, but would be good for various bot games.

Edit: Invasion feedback; Thank you. Favela is an actual fan favorite, the other maps are new and enjoyable. Pharaoh, which is quite the long range sniper map is an excellent addition that i will probably skip due to campers, but a worthy addition.

Mutiny has excellent ambiance, an amusing killstreak, bells to ring, and generally looks nice.

Departed is the typical cod map, yet kept to a decent size, similar to Bayview, and the look and colors keep it attractive.

Once again, i fear that I must bemoan the lack of 'pro spots', but a large step up from the last dlc, in my opinion.

I miss COD 4/MW2 map design. Sure you get spawn trapped sometimes, and I don't miss that. But the simple things like them not clipping every piece of furniture in a room so you can't get on a coffee table or chair. Infinity Ward does a little bit better than Treyarch with it, but there is still plenty of things you should be able to get on top of in both games that would not be glitching or giving a huge advantage, but they clipped it.. Maps should be designed so that you can get anywhere you want within the map, so long as it's not giving you a huge advantage over other players like a roof with a lot of head glitching spots or somewhere like upstairs of the bakery in Warhawk that has no flanking routes. All they have to do is clip off the edges of the maps and let us freely move through the map.

Also, where do we vote for these "fan favorite" maps? Cuz I absolutely hate nuketown and dome, but I was never given the opportunity to vote for my favorites? The only reason anyone enjoys those maps is because they always play with a full team that is able to spawn trap the other team. The poor other team ends up hating the map because it's not fun to go negative because you spawn and immediately get shot by an lmg with a target finder.

One thing that should be mentioned is the spawns on behemoth are absolutely broken. Literally both teams spawn in one area of the map for the entire game and the rest of the map sees absolutely no action, but it still won't spawn you safely in one of those areas.

Agreed Conviction.

About a third of mw2 had spots that some players didn't know a year after the game was out. Skidrow fire escape/ ac/awnings. Sniper spots and hidden avenues if travel in Karachi. Then bo1 came out with fail maps, fail perks, tipped with fail sauce. Then, in, bo2, brought back the dual-troll combo of Nubetown and Failing Range. Really, cause the first year of that garbage wasn't embarrassing enough for your team?

Sad to hear that Behemoth spawns are so bad, even though small, it looked like the second best map of the pack. But spawns are fixable...

Edit: thanks way2. I will hit some if you up for zombies, but I've been working/new maps/physically hurt bad/entertaining guests, but i will get you (and a few other codzians) eventually.

4.29 New tree areas on Prison Break added.

Edit: cleaned up some wording. Always adding tidbits.

And 'woot!', 1,000 views. As always, ask if something isn't clear, or i could always do a 'class' and show people stuff in an offline game.

Invasion DLC Map:

Pharoah:Early info, will get better.

Anubis killstreak, get all perks and glow purple. Unsure whether it times out or lasts a certain number of lives, but you can be killed and keep it.

Drop obelisk by b flag?

Egg hunt (remember to go to squads> Invasion> safeguard> play now, to get the easiest access to this and have it count). North building, slightly east. Out of map in north burning area. Look up and through the flames, on wall past column.

Secret chamber with care package (once per game activation): turn 3 torches that appear cocked to one side (x prompt on screen): 1. Sw building. 2 middle east building. 3. North building, west wall. Hit all 3, go to the north east section of the north building (by the cryptid egg). Door in the corner opens. Once you grab the package, you have a limited time to exit the room before the door permanently closes and fire jets fill the room.

Scarab jars: these are jars with lids (that you can crawl through to see that they are empty) which rattle when you get near (inconsistent sound and distance trigger), but if you break them it releases attack bugs in a tiny area, which are lethal to any who are in the area or walk into it. They work through walls, where applicable.

Invasion DLC Map:

Departed: some info.

Killstreak: death mariachi ghosts. You have 2 pistols and can see enemies highlighted through the walls. When you kill one, you get a death mariachi squad mate who will head off to create mayhem (probably max of two).

Breech spot: middle north building has 2 breech spots with 3 openings. NE corner has breech spot (egg hunt).

Egg hunt: north east corner. Behind red urn with 2 white zig zag stripes. You must breach it first (in safeguard, it is breached).

Middle north building, northern edge, the white roof can be walked upon.

Invasion DLC Map:

Favela: unaltered mw2 reprint:

Egg hunt: in the east/south east is a small graveyard. The egg can be seen through the gate there or from the eastern building roof, it is just out of the map to the east.

As per request, all original maps are now in post #1.

All DLC maps now reside in post #3.

I cannot delete posts from this thread, I have tried several times, so I guess that it will stay like this.

Edit: moving forward, expect only posts 1 and 3 to be updated.

Happy gaming all!

Silly internet people!

I checked online for any found glitches (out of map and the like-i won't cheat online, just easily amused by glitches).

Everywhere is a video of the 'no team' glitch on Favela.

Really? The 'frenemies' glitch, as I call it, has been ubiquitously present every gaming session for 2 months now.

How can you possible associate the glitch with 'new' and 'Favela'?

/end rant.

Hi folk. There isn't much hidden stuff in the new dlc3 maps, except for Favela. I'll go over some spots/avenues of travel soon.

This site was down and i am physically and mentally broken right now, but i should have that up in a day or so.
