  1. Sword altar smoke is a visual clue to check the statue again (to get the sword). That's normal, in my opinion, to draw attention that there is more there than just putting the egg back. The egg grows to the little guy in the sword. The little guy becomes a head of a keeper in the reborn sword. I don't have that black box in waterfront, nor does that area glow. 360 gateworm fire is fire colored (yellowish) until pap ritual is complete, then they are all purple. Thermal: Shadowman also didn't show up in thermal at any of his spawns (i didn't try flag step, but i doubt that matters).
  2. The missing X will happen every single game. It will be the last ritual that you do. After that, each worm that you pick up will cause that ritual's item to flash. This will keep happening, including placing the gateworms. When you place that ritual's gateworm, the ritual item will flash in place, rather than get a red x. Once you finish the pap ritual, the x will appear. Example: do canal last, don't pick up other worms. Place the canal worm at pap, the badge icon will flash and go away instead of giving a red x. Each worm that you pick up will show the badge (upper left) flashing, as well as the worm that you picked up. Each worm that you set down will flash the badge in inventory. There will be no red x until the actual altar part of the ritual is completed. It's just glitched, as far as can be discerned.
  3. I've been playing with the thermal. Flyers, and meatballs don't show up. Margwa do. I'll look around at some other stuff like worms, keepers, et cetera. -------- Conzul, would you believe that I've never connected the image on the pap wall to the order of the worms? I figured it out by watching, during the flag step, which keepers appeared at which worm, depending on which district's flag step was complete. Nice, though obvious find. -------- Zoroth orrothath is what i hear, but i don't know a symbol for the last syllable. But it could be oth, not ath.
  4. I can't fathom most of Trollarch's 'reasoning', as i can't derp that low. However, the bag under footlight's tram steps is way old news. If they added some, i don't know what to say. Maybe 'feed [this servant] zornarkoth' means 'feed [this] mickey dees'. :)
  5. On sprayer: just about anything else you pick up (example: fuse) will flash middle left on the screen if paused. It seems as if the 'pause screen Fumigator image' is missing, and a placeholder is there which says 'picked up sprayer' instead of simply flashing the Fumigator icon middle left as it would with any other item. One more solved glitch.
  6. That's on topic for this thread. There isn't any on 360, for what that's worth. Under the tram steps in Footlight is one also on next gen.
  7. I tried to tie the 'at least 10 of them' quote to the 10's in the red circle...but it led nowhere so far. The first time that i heard that quote, i was Nero, standing in his red circle and was like "hmmmmm". Another is the gateworm placement, only by setting them in a specific order do i get 4 different quotes from each player (Floyd only has 3 and is silent on the last placement).
  8. Welcome Conzul, to the forum! ------------------- "At least ten of them" quote also gets generated if you simply shoot a crowd as well. His other bulk-kill saying is "no tricks, no illusions, i really just did kill a whole bunch of you".
  9. I don't have the answer to that. That's one ish with the t-virus thoughts as well as checking to see if bad stuff has been fixed: sometimes you don't want to get that far just to die in an experiment. Example: Did one of the last two patches for 360 address the death barrier glitches in Footlight? I'd love to check it out, but if the death is waiting for me, then it's game over. Wasted time. That stuff is basically what i did for 3 months, trying to find the arbgwaoth. Now I'm just playing for fun, but of course the game keeps handing me myriad auditory and visual glitches that make me go, "oh what's that mean?". It means cod is always a glitch fest. ;)
  10. Ragdoll, 360 currently says 'summon'. I checked after the last time that you posted, but forgot to post it. I'm pretty sure that i went down during a solo ritual and it ended, unlike mp games. I had to restart it. It may have changed in the past months though... Or i may be misremembering as it's been a while.
  11. Thank you both very much. Sadly, many of the signs are different or just missing in 360land, but i will be able to locate them from yous' descriptions. I figure: i want to get these last things down pat. I'm getting the shield upgraded regularly now and i would really like that squid hat for Maggie's wrath.
  12. There has been speculation on this, I think Ragdoll has suggested it a couple of times. I (360) only have the 'Nero knows all' posters, but one of the phone calls mentioned that he was in a coma from doing a water/serpent act. He was in a coma 11.5 when his wife forged the loan documents.
  13. Maybe call him in at each location, like the achievement? And finish off the SM? Just guessing...
  14. I'm just adding some Alchemical Antithesis information for the novices and anyone else who reads this. ------------------ Trip Mine/Bouncing Betty: have 2 with AA active, throw one, when it hurts zombies, it gets replaced. Repeat until AA runs out. This is more silly than useful. Grenades and Trip Mines could be used in a pinch, with AA if your main weapons run dry. At least you could generate AS shots for more ammo immediately after (because AA is active). Reborn Sword: Reborn Sword use is a key strategy for AA, especially camping. When your 2 (or 3) main weapons run low/out, activate the sword, hit LT to launch the autonomous sword, put the main sword away, activate AA GG, then the sword kills will fill your AS immediately, and then switch to your other weapon(s) to fill them also. Rituals: While unlikely to have early ammo issues that can't be addressed, keep in mind that doing a ritual will get you points and could be used with AA to give ammo in the right rare situation. Drops/pods: out of ammo, you get an AA GG, hit a pod and get a Nuke, activate AA and hit the nuke. (Or even a [$Z]1000 drop). Save Chang's $500 for emergency use? Unlikely to need this, but It's an option. Spare Change: Lie down in front of any perk machine for $100 in a pinch. Did i forget anything?
  15. Does anyone have a good link to a good video on the locations? I've seen one terrible video and i haven't found good ones. My vision is subpar...i haven't been able to see them all, especially in footlight. I know RR sign, devil-o sign canal, and I've seen 2 in Waterfront near the tram, but that's it. Thanks for any help.
  16. Easy Canal pooling strategy: Here's an obvious strategy to help new players get to 50+. It's training, pooling zombies for Blast Furnace* dispatch, rather than camping, but you move so little that it's almost camping (and i wasn't gonna make a new thread just for this). Easy, and boring as baseball. *(Blast Furnace counts toward gun leveling. BF or FW are recommended. Any gun could work, but the idea is to rarely move from this spot, hence the M8A7). Perks: Juggernog, Widow's Wine, (Double Tap 2 helps). Weapons: Rocket Shield (built at canal), M8A7 (pap'd BF)(on wall at location), (Reborn Sword helps), Ray Gun for Margwa, and/or Apothicon Servant for emergencies, (Trip Mines/Bouncing Bettys help take out flyers), Lil Arnie is always welcome. Simply gear up and head to the ritual circle by the Canal workbench. Walk circles until all are gathered, hip fire into the crowd until they ignite, walk a tight circle around the ignition spot until all are consumed/repeat until you die from boredom. Shield and ammo are always right there. I always go counter clockwise (easy for my giant hands/tiny xbox controller), at higher rounds, walk to 'the lighthouse' by the tram steps, while turning to view the RR steps for zombies to properly judge the openings in their line. Then, as you cross the zombie line coming down the RR steps, turn to view the Tram steps for line breaks/repeat. Grab shield or ammo as needed in the loop. Margwas: loop around the map, return. My usual path: down into canal water, through subway, through Footlight, back to canal. Repeat as needed. Happy gaming!
  17. This is the strategy that I've worked out: start around 10, get a strike or 2 per round, don't force it. It worked well for the egg statues. Have Widow's Wine in case you stop in a crowd. Note that the Goddard Apparatus still goes away on 360, it isn't fixed yet, so you must trade the GA for a regular shield before it breaks to increase the regular shield strength (odd glitch).
  18. I get the screen effect once in a while. I've completely avoided it by staying in the pap area while the shadowman shakes the screen. If i jump or teleport as it ends, it doesn't end. I get the trip mine upgrade effects every game. You just have to move away and watch to see it. Either carts. I have not gotten the 'no ritual quotes' glitch.

    Brains

I'm not exactly sure what to opine, but it would be nice for something like brains for excellence/great info/great thread, and still have a 'like' and maybe even 'acknowledged' button. ------- Sometimes someone responds with an answer, so i hit like as in 'I've acknowledged that you answered' and 'thanks for answering'. Whereas, if i simply read it and move on, they may never know that i read it or cared and feel less likely to respond in the future. I never used brains like that, i only gave them up for perceived excellence. Maybe 'brains', 'like', 'acknowledged'? Please give it some thought and some versatility. A quick 'click response' can cut down on pseudospam. I often feel obliged to respond, though i don't have anything great to follow up with, and a simple 'acknowledged' or 'thanks' button would be delightful. That's what i opine, apparently. Shrug.
  20. Yeah, cool hint. 1. I figure that it refers to Morg city, being 'shifted slightly, wrenched from it's proper location'. 2. Downtown is shown on at least one in-game map. It's blocked off at Footlight by a fallen marquis. Fallen light post in canal, by devil o cart. Fallen light post in waterfront by Jade trading. Fallen marquis in Footlight... -------------- While playing yesterday, when i went downed in canal by RR workbench, i headed into the water to get to the rift. While in the water, i was clearly emitting red light that was reflecting in the water. Is that an effect of the red spider drops, or just some random glitch? Any takers on 'visual oddity #471'?
  21. I don't have the map. But, doing some googling, nobody is getting bowling strike sounds, and i have only seen one video that claims there is an upgrade. That video was in Italian(?). It claims that the shield becomes fire proof. I don't understand Italian, but it seemed like you wait for the panzer, then go around the map and shoot what looked like machine guns ramdomly sitting around the map on crates or whatnot. This may be completely wrong though...
  22. My thoughts from experience: Having W'sW works in this way: i do the regular shield burst, then W'sW saves me if i end in a crowd. Also, i find that the shield upgrade should be addressed early. Even using it to fill the statues. Everything sword related can be done easily with the AS, so that could be bumped (and the sword isn't really needed until 30+). So i would suggest getting the shield and shield upgrade as early as possible. I have tried waiting until a high round, using W'sW to stop them and then just getting 10 hits without kills, but the method has not gone very smoothly.
  23. Did you turn the voice volume down? (It's required that i ask. Ha). I'm getting some real bizarre effects since these last patches. 360. Several times when opening the Anvil from the Jade Trading beast pedestal, i reappear up in the air. I've died it from it once (death barrier?), one time i couldn't move for several seconds. The Margwas are now way off synchronization, and the sword rarely works on them at all anymore. And i swear that the shield breaks real easy now. A giant invisible block was added in the middle of one of the paths in the Subway which stops you in your tracks. I now stick to the wall in footlight as i back into it (corner between beast pedestal and trap). And the margwas teleport very badly: like appearing, then teleporting 1 foot again, appearing in wrong spots. They randomly slam the ground when nowhere near a player. More... --------------- As for t-virus thoughts: i notice that i get AS player greets now, which used to only happen rarely (like twice in 3 months). I think that the reborn sword must be complete for me to get the quote. Maybe I can sword-headshot 10 zombies after the quote for ?
  24. I've seen the fumigator flash bit before. √ On 360, that Rift alcove is super dark always.
  25. Hmm. The W'sW grenades aren't working well on 360. If i use the grenade, there is a large chance that they don't count even though i kill 20+ with the shield. It will work once or twice and then not. InCODsistant...
