Guten abend liebe leute! I’m sure everyone has had a little basic history on school, but I am asking you: Where did it began? We are taught about the old empires of the Romans, Greeks, Persians and Chinese. We learned about the first human settlements in Mesopotamia, and perhaps a little bit about the ancient hunters, the early homo sapiens, as well. But we must agree that there is still alot we do not know about that time period, still hidden in the mysterious fog of history. Or are there things we do not want to know? Were we the first sentient organisms on this globe? Or has Earth been inhabited, or possibly merely visited, by highly intelligent life forms from outer space? I present you: the Ancient Astronauts Theory!

In short, the theory postulates that in ancient times, aliens visited earth and interacted with early humans, leading to the gods of our myths and legends. The mythologies of early civilizations show aliens helping early mankind, and explain the rise of mankind from primate to the domination of our planet. The main argument for the theory is that much of early man’s megastructures required technology, engineering, mathematics, and other sciences that we simply weren’t capable of back then. Similarities among images from various cultures that never had contact with each other shows a common experience of these ‘gods’ coming from above, as do strange images that seem to be of modern day tech such as the famous hieroglyph of what seems like a helicopter or spacesuits.

Alfred Russell Wallace, a biologist living in the same era as Darwin, believed that Darwinian evolution couldn’t completely explain life on earth. He theorized that a Higher Being intervened in the evolution of life three times: creating life from organic matter, creating consciousness in animals, and finally giving humans sentience. This idea is pretty similar to many creation stories, like the well-known one in the Bible.  Later writers expanded upon this idea with the Spirit being replaced by extraterrestrials.

The Swiss author Von Daniken believed that early man had progressed just enough technologically to construct the wonders of the ancient world, and stated that famous landmarks such as the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Moai heads of Easter Island were either constructed by aliens or by humans with extraterrestial assistance.  He theorized that early humans viewed alien technology as supernatural, divine magic, the aliens theirselves as gods, because their technology was so far beyond humanity’s.

Spoiler

Even the Summoning Key, an object which is believed to be highly magical, is possibly ‘just’ an advanced piece of technology that we simply cannot understand yet. Possibly a so-called ‘Probability Weapon’, potentially able to rewrite reality itself.  In quantum mechanics all particles exist as probability waves in a base state of matter.  When the probability gets strong enough, a particle appears at a specific location.  By messing with the probability, depending on how much effect you can have, you could essentially rearrange matter as you see fit. Also, due to a process called quantum tunneling which allows matter to go through other matter, there is an admittedly tiny, but non-zero chance that large items could randomly disappear and reappear anywhere else: teleporting within and between universes. So a device capable of messing around with quantum probability is a device more powerful than anything else in the Omni-fucking-verse!

An interesting observation is how similar the Pacific cargo cults are. These cults arose when island cultures that were more primitive concerning technology, met with foreign WWII soldiers who gave them the aforementioned cargo, in the form of material assistance. The cults arose when they began to worship the advanced humans as gods, going so far as to create costumes similar to the soldiers to try and convince their gods to return. They created elaborate rituals and even using wooden replicas of the technology the soldiers used.

One of the most important ‘ancient-alien’ writers was Zecharia Sitchin, who declared that aliens interacted with the homo sapiens living in Mesopotamia, coincidentally the area with the first known human civilisation on Earth, where they became the gods of their religion.  Sitchin claims that the Mesopotamian myth Enuma Elis, which details the gods or “annuaki” created mankind as servants, was in fact describing the work of aliens.  These aliens came to mine raw materials, but decided to have others do the work. To this end, they genetically bio-engineered the first humans, possibly from already existing primates, creating what they called “adapa,” or model man. This is where the name of the first man, Adam, comes from.  These “annuaki” were directly involved with human civilization, until the destruction at the end of the last ice age 12,000 years ago, which is often theorized to be the basis of the myriad flood myths of world cultures: Noah’s Ark, the Ragnarok, the tales of the mythical empires of Atlantis, Lemuria and Mu, swallowed by the sea. By many of these legends, a Great War between highly intelligent beings, whether it are between Gods or between advanced civilisations, is included, leading to the concerning Doom.

There was a tribe in Mali, called the Dogon, who had detailed legends about creatures they named the Nommo helping their ancestors. The curious thing is that supposedly, before the Dogon met modern civilization, they claimed the Nommo came from the star Sirius, which they maintained had two companion stars. Interestingly, modern science did not discover the second companion until 1915 due to its faintness. Theorists claim that the Dogon also had knowledge of the rings of Saturn, as well as the moons of Jupiter, despite the plain lack of telescope technology...

The Nazca Lines, gigantic ancient structures in South America which reveal drawings of various animals when viewed from high in the air, are cited as being signals for aliens, who could properly view the drawings from their flying machines. The Hindu work Ramayana depicts their gods and demons using flying vehicles called Vimanas. These Vimanas were said to fly on a beam that was as “brilliant as the sun and made a noise like the thunder of a storm”, quite similar to a rocket-powered vehicle.

Even a war among the gods is depicted by theorists as being an actual thermonuclear war between groups of ancient aliens for dominance. In the tales of the sunken continents, the civilisations sought refuge for the radiation underground, where they created the subterranean world ‘Agartha’. In some theories, the Bible even gets used quite a bit. The Nephilim of the Old Testament, offspring of man and angel, are claimed to be alien hybrids who dominated mankind until humanity rose up and destroyed them. The Nephilim are said to use the skills given to humanity by angels, called Watchers (synonym for Keepers, anyone?), until the Deluge destroyed the civilization.  Even the famous vision from Ezekiel of the Wheels in the Sky are claimed to be sightings of ancient UFOs.

There also is a very similar, yet different theory: It aren’t extraterrestrials. Long ago, prior to our known history, a race of advanced humans built a mighty civilization in ancient times and helped other cultures to evolve with gifts of knowledge and technology. This “mother culture”, was destroyed in some form of cataclysm millenia ago but lives on as the legends of lost places, such as Atlantis, Lemuria, and Mu.

Whether our stories of gods are real, made-up, or inspired on highly advanced humans or extraterrestials in the far past, I leave that up to you. They were so influential, however, that they are even said to inspire the entire Nazi-ideology. They set expeditions to reveal the mystery of the past, and ancient clues of this theory are even believed by some to have led to the creation of Nazi wonderweapons that have brought them so close to world domination. And to what extent is it similar to the story of the Keepers, the Great War and their creation of Agartha? Are they, perhaps, a warning for humans to remain wary with advanced technology? Have they assisted, or created early mankind? Or were they once actually humans themselves?

Another gem, Anon. Something I wish was expanded more was the Keeper lore, however, filling in the gaps ourselves we can slide them into many places in history to get an idea of their involvement with mankind. An interesting topic to explore.

D'aww, thank you Rad, made me smile.

There is one thing I have broken my mind about multiple times. We can seperate two kinds of myths:

  1. The highly advanced beings live on Earth, have a Great War and then create a Heaven/Agartha
  2. The highly advanced beings originate from Heaven/Agartha, have a Great War causing the losers to fall down on Earth (or the losers went to Earth earlier, one of the two).

Anyway, the thing is that Earth, as well as mankind, existed all the time. The Timeline, however, says the following:

Quote
  • The Keepers craft the Summoning Key, a device that allows them to manipulate the Aether. Holding power over reality itself, they use it to create Agartha.

"The Summoning Key is one of the oldest artifacts in all creation. It was used by the first one to mix all the dimensions with life, giving each one its unique balance. Under certain circumstances, it has the ability to form bridges between dimensions allowing the transfer of life forces back and forth." - Gorod Krovi cipher

  • The Keepers master the ability to travel between dimensions.

"To allow quick travel between dimensions the Keepers created the transference device which is powered by the Aether. The Keepers have placed structures throughout the realms." - Gorod Krovi cipher

  • Some Keepers begin to experiment with the Dark Aether, which corrupts and corrodes their souls. Among them is the Shadowman

""In the beginning, there were only the Keeper. But then corruption of the dark Aether leached its way into the realm and twisted the minds of some of the Keepers. These Keepers turned to shadows of their former selves and eventually became the Apothicons." - Gorod Krovi

  • The corrupted Keepers create the Aether Pyramid a device capable of absolute power. A schism forms between them and those Keepers untainted by the Dark Aether.

  • War breaks out between the corrupted and uncorrupted Keepers.

  • Facing defeat the corrupted Keepers hide the Aether Pyramid on a moon within one of the newly discovered  dimensions. After banishing the corrupted keepers to the Dark Aether beneath creation, the remaining keepers take on the mantle of guardians. Trapped in the Dark Aether, the corrupted keepers contort and evolve over Eons, ultimately becoming the Apothicons. The desire, above all else, to return to Agartha.

"Once the Great War ended with the defeat of the Apothicons, the Keepers ascended to become the wards of all universes. The surviving Apothicons were cast out, banished to the dark Aether beneath creation." - Gorod Krovi

So according to the Timeline and Kronorium, we had the Gods first, then the creation of their Heaven, and then their Great War. We also got this scrap from the timeline:

Quote

Knowing the planet had a gateway to Agartha, the Apothicons sent meteors of Element 115 to Earth.

So the Keepers created Agartha, but yet the Earth has a gateway to it. According to the Timeline, the Keepers used the Summoning Key to create Agartha, according to the Kronorium they used it to fill the universes with life. So I wonder, did Earth and its people exist before the creation of Agartha? If that would be the case, mankind could've experienced the ancient War of Agartha, might might be this disastrous war all those mythologies and religions talk about. If, however, the Keepers created Agartha prior to them filling the universes with life (including the creation of mankind), I wonder why exactly Earth has a gateway to Agartha. In any case, they are said to create life, so the Mesopotanium/Summerian "Adapa" myth seems to fit.

The Keepers created us. Whether they are ancient nonhuman beings or our future selfs securing that we (and so, they) would exist, I am unsure.

Actually, thinking about it now, MysteryMachineX and AetherealVoices both noted that the zombies seen in the Crazy Place differ from normal human zombies. They appear to have a larger, carnivorous mouth as well as slightly different eyes. These two traits instantly remind me of the Keepers: beings with obvious carnivorous jaws and a changed, eyeless face. Added, both the Crazy Place zombies and the Keepers wear the Black Sun insigma.

So are the zombies seen popping in in our reality when activating a Conversion Generator, when entering the Crazy Place realm, perhaps the evolutionary 'in-between form' of humans and Keepers? Do the Ancient Aliens descend from early homo sapiens?

The Keepers, an ancient order, were being granted the wisdom to see beyond the limitations of their own realm. Even while the rest of mankind scrabbled around in the dirt, drinking their own piss, the Keepers took mantle of benevolent watchers. Like the Seers and Sages of the old world. They could foresee how the actions of the Apothicons would lead to the destruction of life itself. The Keepers have always been here. - Doctor Monty

Are they the highly advanced 'mother culture' that once dominated Earth, prior to our history. Is the Great War of Agartha an ancient large-scale thermonuclear World War? Are the current humans descendants of merely the lower, hunter-gatherer cultures of that time?

This idea reminds me somewhat of Halo lore. In that, ages ago there were many advanced races including ancient humans and beings called the Forerunners. The Forerunners believed they had something called the "Mantle", which basically says that they are the ones who will protect life in the galaxy and have dominion over it. An infectious parasite called the Flood began to wipe out Forerunners and Ancient Humans, and the two were eventually driven to war as the Human refugees approached Forerunner worlds. The Forerunners ended up wiping out most of humanity, leaving only a fraction behind without any of their futuristic technology, so they essentially started from scratch with no technology to speak of.

I could see a similar situation happening here, where the Keepers and the Humans may have fought, and the Keepers wiped out most of them, leaving them to "squabble in the dirt" while they tried to defend the universe from the Apothicons. This cipher may be of interest:

"M is interested in these worthless beings all his work will be undone"

It seems like Monty is the only one really concerned with the happiness and well-being of humanity, as he has stated in Revelations. It's possible this is from the point of view of the Shadowman, however I think it is also very likely it is from other Keepers, who deem humans as "worthless".

As recommended by @habazabaza, I want to start reading some Lovecraft books. One story, "At the mountains of madness", has some particular interesting things included. The story is about a group of geolists discovering an ancient, abandoned city in the middle of the Hymalayas, alien to any kind of human architecture (sounds familiar, right?). Here, they discover that the builders of lost civilization are dubbed the 'Elder Things'. The Elder Things first came to Earth shortly after the Moon took form and built their cities with the help of "shoggoths": Artificially bio-engineered humanoid creatures that would work like slaves for the Elder Things, and eventually rose up against their masters. It is hinted that humans are far-away evolutions from the Shoggoths.

I actually like it that we can theorize so many different backstories of the Keepers and humans

The following reminded me of the Shangri-La and Moon loading screens:

"the Anunnaki were actually an advanced humanoid extraterrestrial species from the undiscovered planet Nibiru, who came to Earth around 500,000 years ago and constructed a base of operations in order to mine. According to Sitchin, the Anunnaki hybridized their species and homo erectus via in vitro fertilization in order to create humans as a slave species of miners. Sitchin claimed that the Anunnaki were forced to temporarily leave Earth's surface and orbit the planet with their chariots (Vimañas) when Antarctic glaciers melted, causing the Great Flood, which also destroyed the Anunnaki's bases on Earth. These had to be rebuilt, and the Anunnaki, needing more humans to help in this massive effort, taught mankind agriculture. Ronald H. Fritze writes that, according to Sitchin, "the Annunaki built the pyramids and all the other monumental structures from around the world that ancient astronaut theorists consider so impossible to build without highly advanced technologies." Sitchin expanded on this mythology in later works, including The Stairway to Heaven (1980) and The Wars of Gods and Men (1985). In The End of Days: Armageddon and the Prophecy of the Return (2007), Sitchin predicted that the Anunnaki would return to earth."

Okay so as mentioned before, the Sumerians, the 'cradle of civilisations', the place where Homo Sapiens began to settle aand form a conplex society for the first time, is heavily associated with tales about the Vril-Ya and Ancient Aliens. According to these tales, the Sumerian gods were the Vril Ya and Sumeria is the place where the landed upon Earth. I just found this: Check out their alphabeth!

Sumerian+Alphabet.jpg

Seems like they were inspired by something, eh?
