Treyarch and IW both make referance to the bible throughout there games. "Shepard and his disciples"?. Treyarchs Bibles passages in Verruckt, campaing names and themes such as NUmbers, Revelations. However the bible is a peculiar book, many times it tells its story through allusion and allegory, though I would not try and read to much into Treyarchs referances.

I think it falls into the same ilk as a Dev using the names of Greek gods to name their heros or protaganists found in the games they make. It is very easy to draw parallels that might not have been intended.

that was what i though too.
