  1. I know it's not zombie or Black Ops 3 related, but please try to get me any info you have on the new Doom reboot!
  2. My experience of AW was not dreadful but I would not necessarily recommend it to anyone either. The campaign was a lot of fun to play and my only issues with it were the poor storyline that had bland characters and no depth to it and the fact that it was typically short for a CoD campaign as is standard since WaW. Multiplayer I found fun at first due to the novelty of having the suits but I found th maps to be rather boring and uninteresting. Certainly can't see many of those maps being considered "fan favourites". I was given a free copy of the Day Zero version of AW and aside from the campaign I was only really playing it to try out the Exo Survival mode so when the zombie mode was announced I decided to stick with it. The maps themselves have looked decent enough and the storyline is interesting enough but they executed it very poorly so although fun for a mess around it is not good enough to be taken serious. The franchise could have done without Advanced Warfare but it was at least innovative in it's attempts to introduce new movements to an already stagnating game. I still rate it well above Ghosts.
  3. According to Sledgehammer, Advanced Warfare was 3 years in the making so they got the 3 year cycle just the same as Treyarch. That being said, I don't personally think AW is terrible. It's just not great either.
  4. Yeah, it does indeed seem that Black Ops 3 is only coming to previous generation consoles as a final bow before moving over to next gen permanently, and like previous ports or incarnations like the Wii's version of WaW and BO1 to the PSP Vita's BO: Declassified, it will almost definitely be watered down port that would probably be missing many key features. This was confirmed when ATVI announced that DLC content would not be the same across old and new gen consoles. It was an easy assumption to make though that we might suffer on next gen if Advanced Warfare was a model to go off. They definitely billed AW as a 'True next gen experience' yet they tried very hard to make the previous gen versions as close to the next gen as possible. This is why I assumed we might suffer the same fate but thankfully ATVI have confirmed many of us have jumped the gun and can now sit back and look forward to a positive future when it comes to zombies. Still... happy to admit when I was wrong and jumped the gun. In fact, I am glad this is the case.
  5. Wow! I was trying to have a joke with you. You really are something else NV. Jeez.
  6. How is it simple logic exactly? Sledgehammer also said they were focused soley on the next gen version of Advanced Warfare and the 360 and PS3 versions were made to be near identical to the next gen versions which means they would have had to hold back on the next gen versions so they would match content for content. It is hardly nieve to have assumed the same thing would be the case for BO3 on previous vs. current gens. And besides... it was only yesterday we found out that Black Ops 3 was actually coming out on previous gen, so what have you actually been saying since it was announced? lol
  7. Ok, based on this official statement: https://support.activision.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-III-Availability-on-PlayStation-3-and-Xbox-360/?l=en_US&c=Game_Title%3ACall_of_Duty_Black_Ops_III&fs=Search&pn=1 I stand completely corrected. I definitely jumped the gun on this one and send apologies to @Infest @Slade & @Tasha Guess the previous gen version could indeed be similar to the milked down versions the Wii got of BO1.
  8. There is a clear comparison already and that is Advanced Warfare. Billed as "A true next gen experience", it was not and was limited to what could be done based around the limitations of current gen. The old engine is for the most part gone so we cannot blame radiant anymore. Now to the comparison. Exo Zombies maps are small and limited in features most likely down to them having to work within the limits of previous gen consoles so the maps were small and unambitious. BO3 will be made on the same version of Radiant as AW was so we can expect similar limitations. Destiny is another example. I can see what you are saying but unlike previous times when this debate has come up regarding other games this one has substance for arguement and as a huge fan of this game-mode I am disappointed that money motivated Activision. Then again, maybe Infinity Ward wanted to be the ones to debut CoD on next gen only first seeing as it's their creation. Either way, I hope that the game does not suffer from being cross gen but I think it will unfortunately.
  9. Well let me just stress here, I am not complaining myself... just expressing my disappointment. Zombies could have been bigger and better than we could ever have imagined but now it will almost definitely not be due to being "possibly" held back by the previous generation consoles dated hardware. I am still happy to wait and see what happens and do not for a minute think CoD is dead or dying. For every person who drops out of the franchise, another kids begs his/her mother to buy them the latest CoD game. The series makes billions and will continue to do so for some time. I am just disappointed that zombies could possibly suffer for it. Also, why are people having a go at those complaining anyway? What is the point of having a forum if we cannot discuss these things. Sure some are being seriously over dramatic about it but suddenly those who complain are being regarded as whiners? I actually think we are well within our rights to feel let down by this announement and find it more bizarre that there is some who are actually cool with it!?! We are passionate about this mode so I think our reaction is expected to be honest and not something that should be frowned upon.
  10. But it is true though. Current gen users are getting a lesser than possible experience because of previous gen limitations. Take the 360 for example. It is running at 512mb of ram, the extremely dated Xenos GPU by ATi and a not too shabby CPU but still poor by todays standards. Developers have to work within the limitations of the hardware and that means current gen users will suffer. It's like a PC game. You cannot expect a new AAA PC game to work on a ten year old gaming PC due to the GPU, CPU and ram all being well outdated, but if a studio needs it to work on it then the game is going to be pretty linear compared to most modern games. The development of games is down to the tools they use. The engines normally have set limits that are put in place to meet the limitations they have set by the hardwares they are developing for. Yes it's more complicated than just saying "Current gen is being held back by previous gen", but it doesn't take away from the fact that it's still true. Obviously we will still have a better looking product, that is obvious but it's the size of the product we will be limited with and that is a shame from a zombies point of view because previous gen consoles had a rough time handling some of the BO2 maps and they will need to adapt it to work within the previous gens limitations so current gen users get less than they would if they were exclusive. I feel zombies will suffer for it but I am still looking forward to the end product all the same.
  11. Well Call of Duty is Infinity Wards creation so it was obvious it was going to be them who debuted the new next generation of CoD to the world. They did it when CoD moved from PS2/Xbox over to 360/PS3 with Modern Warfare. I just hoped it would not be the case this time. As for the complaining of being held back... I personally disagree and feel as paying customers you reserve the right to complain. That being said, complaining won't change anything so I will just say I am disappointed and leave it at that. I still expect a great game nonetheless so may as well just wait until we see more.
  12. I expected this but hoped it would not be the case. Ah well... expect a much less ambitious zombies than we hoped for (in terms of map, content and detail) and maps similar to the scale of MotD and Origins at best due to those particular maps practically dragging the 360 to deaths door. Money talks I guess but this has left me feeling very disappointed.
  13. Was someone around here looking for an xbox live trial pass? Sure I remember someone mentioning being out of Gold but can't remember who it was. Anyway... if it was YOU, hit me up. :)

  14. Still a tad slow for me, and it's the same over 3 different browsers. Not major but when I click the bookmark to open the site it takes around 5-10 seconds to open, then when I press on links it takes around the same to open a new page. Sometimes quicker but still a bit sluggish. It's getter better each day though. Mobile site is still unusable for the most part though. Edit: Just realized that the additional 5 second load up speed was down to me using a VPN and when disabled the site loads up in 3-5 seconds. My bad.
  15. Welcome back. Just in time for the hype train rolling in as well. It is indeed a good time to be back on the scene.
  16. I agree that its most likely campaign related, but I will say that I can't see Campaign or MP fans caring about a viral campaign as deep as this one. I loved BO1s campaign and even I wouldn't really care too much about story hints and teases before the game's release. I'd only really care about the trailers and some gameplay up until the release. But to piece together images and videos only seconds long and dig into Morse code and messages hidden in background audio. Thats more up the zombie fan tree. Again, I think the teases are most likely Campaign related, but the detail they are putting into them seems to be more attractive to the zombie fans. So I think they are going to keep messing with zombie fans by adding things like 4 survivors and metal towers in their messages. Use their campaign teasers to tease us even more. This viral is very similar in style and marketing to the GKNova campaign which was initially campaign related, and although this is definitely more appealing to the deep digging zombie community this is how Treyarch operation as a whole, not just for their zombie mode. I won't rule it out but I am pretty confident this will be campaign related hence why I have not been overly active in threads related to this stuff already.
  17. As Matuzz said, they have always promoted the campaign first in CoD games followed by MP, then the coop mode. The vast majority of people who buy CoD buy it for the campaign and MP so I cannot see why the would put zomies at the forefront of their viral, and that aside, nothing in this viral has so far pointed towards zombies and has actually strongly pointed towards the campaign mode. It's possible but if it was zombie related then it seems unrelated to where we left off on Buried or Origins.
  18. I seriously doubt the unmarked man will be anything to do with the zombie game mode. This is definitely campaign related, as it goes in line with all previous Treyarch or CoD virals around this time of the year. As for the Frank Woods video, I tend to not pay too much attention to what he says now after watching his Tranzit breakdown video. He literally got everything completely wrong in that video so although I am sure he will be aware of the new mechanics in the campaign/MP mode, they are nothing that we are not already expecting anyway.
  19. If you are a fan of zombies, which I assume you are then you really want to be getting all 3 maps. They are all good maps.
  20. So with the Destiny DLC coming on the 19th May, and then the next Exo-Zombies map expected on the 26th May, next month is shaping up to be a good (or bad depending on the DLC) month for me! Anything to tide me over till November is welcomed. :D

Yeah, there is plenty of good titles and DLC's coming out soon that can help occupy the time until Treyarch return to the fold. Exciting times. :D

  21. Hey Mel. Welcome to the forum. Glad to see Eric talked you into signing up. Hopefully get another game in with you soon, but until then enjoy your stay.
  22. Welcome aboard Alex. About time you joined us.
  23. Xbox One for me. Going to be getting one of my own, ie: not my kids this coming week. Will continue to play on the 360 though until November.
  24. Came in to find my 6 year old son sitting in a glitch in Exo Zombies - Infection. He was pretty amazed that he could not be hit by the zombies and loved it. Didn't have the heart to tell him off for it. lol

I've spotted my boy doing glitches, I've told him off for it (not in zombies) but in things like Garry's mod and doctor who type games.

      Bad boy lol
