  • Is Sony Working On The PS4K?

    Hells Warrrior

The Rumour mill has it that Sony is working on a 4K- version of the PS4 with increased GPU to give in game visuals a boost and will also help the PS VR

Known as the "PS4.5" or "PS4K", developers told Kotaku that the device would feature an improved graphical processing unit (GPU), which would give in-game visuals a boost.

The increased processing power would also let it display games at 4K resolution.

It's worth taking this with a pinch of salt at the moment and it's unlikely to be released this year "if at all" with sources saying it's "exploratory" according to Kotaku.  Sony certainly isn't talking about it publicly, although there's murmurs of hush hush meetings.

    • With two gothic platformers under its belt in Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon and its sequel, you might think developer Inti Creates would have had its fill of moonlit spires, opulent interiors, and the like, but no! The studio has now unveiled Grim Guardians: Demon Purge, coming to Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on 23rd February. Grim Guardians: Demon Purge - described by Inti as a "2D side-scrolling action game" - certainly has the whiff of a Castlevania about it, ticking all the right aesthetic boxes as its demon-hunting sister protagonists brave a sprawling castle in an attempt to save their school. Progress unfolds across distinct stages, with each sister having access to unique skills that players can utilise by switching between them. There are also bosses that reward new weapons on defeat - opening up new routes in later areas - plus two-player co-op for those that want to play with a friend. Additionally, Inti promises extensive difficulty options with the game's Style System, and unique changes on repeat plays. Read more View the full article
    • When you drop into a match of Fortnite for a battle royale showdown, you can be almost certain that you'll encounter some enemy squads to overcome. Of course, taking them down and scoring that sweet victory royale means that you'll likely take some damage along the way and need to use one of the many items around the island to heal up. However, Epic has unvaulted one fan-favorite healing item--Slurp Juice--that should quickly become a hot commodity, so we'll tell you where to find it and why you should pick it up. Where to find Slurp Juice in Fortnite and how it works Slurp Juice can be found on the ground or in chests and supply drops. It takes two seconds to consume and replenishes one health point per 0.5 seconds up to a total of 75. If you have full health, it will heal shields instead. Only one can be active at a time, so an additional slurp won't have any effect until you've finished healing the initial 75 health or shields. Due to how quickly you can consume Slurp Juice, it can be immensely helpful in almost any situation. For one, it's fantastic for helping you recover health or shields over time during safe periods, allowing for a fairly hands-off healing experience while you loot or move to new areas. But perhaps best of all, it can be used right before or during a fight so that you'll gradually recover from any shots you take. It may not seem like much, but having that extra bit of health or shields ticking upward at all times to offset some of the damage could make or break a showdown.
