That being said why do the death machines only last 90 seconds hmm...

Think about what it says on the deathmachines "sparky" same with the batteries

Everyone says one of 2 things

It's over there's no other step

Or shoot the batteries

But I have another therory how about this

The death machines are a CLUE not a TOOL

has anyone tried pressing X near the batteries instead of shooting them????

The node puzzle the activator for the monkey round buttons whined but not the buttons

So maybe it's the same with the "final" node

You must have to activate the batteries with X

So waddya think

It hasent which is a FAIL I mean hasent all the steps you had to press x except for like 2

theres more than four batteries in the game so that means there is no reason to try,if you dont believe me go look for your self theres 4 in the first room than one next to the flopper perk
