  1. Schuster and Groff just finished killing hundreds of people to fill the MPD. I don't see why they would have any issue killing one more. Maxis it too important? To whom? Certainly not to Richtofen or any of the men on his team. It is more likely that they shouted no because not only did he instruct her to kill them, but she all returned inside the pyramid.

    Let's see. Theres a girl in a magical Moon pyramid and her father has told her to kill everyone. Their original Plan was to eliminate Maxis and Samantha once she was removed from the Pyramid. This was Richtofen's orders. However once Maxis told Samantha to kill everyone Maxis Became the only thing that could possibly talk samantha out of killing every single member of 935. Thus he BECAME Important to the scientists. 

  2. Fact?  If it's such fact, why are you the first person I'm hearing propose it?  Can you give me more evidence?  I'd love to be convinced, but I'm just not so sure about it.

    Ok Lets see

     

    Our first evidence starts with the Der Riese radios.

     

    Maxis Performed many experiments during his time at Der Riese. Many of these experiments involved trying to control the undead. Whenever Maxis would fail to control a zombie he would have to destroy it. This indicates that Maxis carried a Gun on him due to the nature of his work as well as have other men at his side for security purposes. 

     

    When Maxis tells Samantha to Kill them all he immediately pulls the gun out and puts it on his head. One of the other scientists perhaps Schuster tries to stop him however he is too late and Maxis has already killed himself. During the radio you hear the Gunshot then the word NOOO. Thus the person yelling NOO could not have been Maxis. None of the other scientists would have dared shoot Maxis because if they did then Samantha would have never exited the pyramid. 

     

    Another Evidence to be said is that None of the Scientists actually knew what the MPD did. Richtofen told them it was a gateway to another world yet none of them knew much about it. So even if Maxis told Samantha to Kill them all How would the Scientists even know that she would be able to do it?

     

    Let's consider for a moment that the Scientists DID know that Samantha could Cause disasters while in the Pyramid. They still would have not shot Maxis. He was too important and if Samantha Knew he was still alive and on the moon she would not have brought the zombies there because she would never Harm her own father. In fact, they would have been safer if Maxis was still alive.

     

    This is why Maxis shot Himself. His plan would have worked either way if they had shot him or if he shot himself. The problem was whether or not they would actually do it. That's why Maxis did it himself. If Samantha Believed Him to be dead then she would not hold back at all and destroyed all of 935. 

     

    Thus Maxis arrived on the Moon and killed himself knowing that now nothing could stop Samantha.

    I've been thinking of a creative new menu screen for Zombies mode. In Black ops 2 we had the destroyed earth and each map was placed on the appropriate location on the Globe. Here is My concept for A new zombies Main Menu featuring Some of my own Zombie Maps and Some of the Ones from Black Ops 2 as a sample. My Idea is that the main menu changes depending on which map you played Last. Here is an example of how it would work.

     

    Tranzit: Menu is opened and the new zombies theme starts. You see the gas station as the mist pretty much engulfs everything. Blue eyes are moving around in the background. They aren't chasing anyone they are just moving around aimlessly. 

     

    Die Rise: You get a view of the the die rise tower. Every now and then a spark goes off as the meteors fall from the sky. From time to time a Minion will jump onto the tower and start crawling around it. It then jumps off screen and the sequence loops.

     

    Now for some Main Menu's and map selections based on a few of my maps

     

    Awakening - You witness an urban suburbia. All is well in the simulation. Static occurs. An ambulance is abandoned in the middle of the neighborhood and one of the undead is strapped down inside it. From time to time the screen will suffer from static and reveal a machine moving Pods around. 

     

    Historia - A group of tents are being moved by the snowstorm. You can see the tank just lying there while a group of frost zombies wander around. If you sat idle for a bit the screen will change. The ground will crumble and the camera will fall into the underground bunker. You see "The Man" Tinkering around with something but you can not see his appearance. This is similar to the black ops menu screen where all you see is hudson's shadow.

     

    Destination 935 - You see 3 unfinished wonder weapons. The Vr-11, The wunderwaffe and the Raygun MK2. You also see a board with pictures on it. You see The original Der Riese staff including Schuster, Richtofin, Maxis, Groph, Sophia, and a group of other members. If you stay idle for a bit you will begin to see as time goes by and how Der Riese is slowly being overrun with Plant life. You will hear a giant Mechanical Sound and the Screen will shake. You will also hear the sound of Buildings crumbling as "IT" escapes.

     

    Now You decided to Press Start. The screen will chance and you will see a table. There are alot of papers and photographs on it such as a picture of Samantha and fluffy, The original zombies comic, A toy Robot, The pictures you saw in Der riese that showed ascension, Paris and Call of the dead, and of course pictures of the maps you can play in currently.

     

    Whenever you select a map a hand will extend out and grab the picture of the Map. ( 1st person view) you then look at the picture and underneath it written in ink you will see your options. Solo, Multiplayer, Online Local, Custom, Grief, Turned etc. Each time you install a new DLC new photos will appear on the desk for "The Man" to grab. There might even be new easter eggs in the map selection screen as well. When you finally select your options "The Man will light a cigarette and burn the Photo. The smoke covers the camera and The Cutscene Begins...

     

    Tell me what you think of this Menu Concept and put some of your own start up screens depicting the other maps. I would love to see your ideas. until Next time Peace out. :)

I don't think Maxis committed suicide.  I think he was shot by someone, perhaps Richtofen.  Richtofen does seem to believe that he should be dead in Moon.  But he also recognized that Maxis wasn't dead in the Moon radios after Samantha got caught in the MPD.  It would fit.  I'll admit this is one that is up in the air and up to interpretation.

     

    Also, I don't think that's a ball of yarn.  No idea if that was a serious idea, but I just can't agree with it.  Just does not work.  Shooter had a theory last year around Die Rise's release on the balls that was extremely solid.  I'll have to go look for it.

    Actually Maxis shooting himself is pretty much fact to most people. The other scientists did not want to kill maxis until he could get Samantha out of there. One of the scientists yells NOO right before he does it. He was trying to stop maxis but failed.

    As for the Cat theory it's actually a popular joke thread back on the old forums.

  5. Maxis has been searching for decades. However the spires had to be within the time pockets in order for them to work correctly. That's why I believe maxis launched the missiles at earth. He knew that if he got samantha out of the pyramid richtofen would most likely have them both killed anyways. So he shot himself and told samantha to kill all the 935 members. That way they wouldn't be able to remove him from the necessary computers for the missiles.

    This would have never been accomplished if it weren't for Maxis. Richtofen did not discover a pyramid on the moon. What he discovered was a tiny time pocket and within this tiny time pocket there was a pyramid with maxis still inside. However the maxis from where the time pocket came from has been driven to insanity and evil in his eternal search for his daughter. When richtofen touched the pyramid he started hearing future maxis's voice and with the help of the voices Richtofen built griffon station using maxis's instructions. This whole time Richtofen has just been a pawn for future Maxis's plan. Even the Maxis that guides you in black ops 2 has become a pawn.

    Maxis cares not for anyone except his daughter and he is willing to destroy his own body and purge the world if it means being able to be at samantha's side again.

    Maxis almost got the tranzit Spire operational at least once. He had a group of 4 lwho got so close however richtofen ruined this plan. He convinced one of the members to kill the other 3. This same man then began the flesh society some time after richtofen abandoned him.

    Time fliw differently within the time pockets an what is 1 day for richtofen can be 30 years for Maxis. This might explain why tranzit takes place in the 60's and Die rise takes place in the 90's

  6. I blame the Ranking system. Lots of try hards think it's cool to have shotguns and they actually believe Leaderboards mean anything so they rage quit when they go down. 

     

    Out of the Millions and Millions of people that play zombies what's the point of playing for leaderboards if the odds of getting close to the top 10 is harder than finding Malasyian Flight 370. 

     

    Also the shotguns don't really mean anything and it just causes players to quit because they don't want to have them taken away. 

    This is why there were less rage quiters in Black ops. You played for fun not meaningless ranks.

  7. The following is a list of  Theories which have been listed as some of the best theories and some of the worst theories. Some of the best theories have been proven wrong however they are still very good theories. The worst theories are all some of the worst things that have somehow caught on. so let us begin with the Top 5 WORST theories ever....

     

    Number 5

    Misty is Dempseys Daughter- This theory although seems right to some new players is actually completely false. For starters Even Misty says that she saw her father die. Thus it could not have been possible at all..

     

    Number 4 

    Ferguson is the entity inside the Pyramid - Some people actually believe that Ferguson is the all mighty entity in the MPD. How they came to believe this is beyond me. Could Ferguson be the Announcer in MOTD? Perhaps yes due to the cut quotes. Could Such a Minor character Like Ferguson be the Entity? Hell No.....

     

    Number 3

    Bus Route B - Bus Route B is an infamous theory in which some believed there to be 2 bus routes. If you look at the back of your Black ops 2 Box you will see the Bus going the opposite direction this fueled the search for fools gold. Some believed you needed to use the Nav Card due to the word Nav matching up to Navigation. This effort was futile but Using Nav cards was not a bad theory. If only people had looked at the map selection screen and realized if it wasn't on the map the it's not in the actual Game.

    Marlton is Dead - With the Die rise Reveal Marlton was not present in the trailer. Then they show off one of the zombie models and BOOM everyone actually believed that Marlton was dead. Even though Treyarch doesn't kill off any one single character from one map to another ( they have never done it and still haven't done it) People still assumed he was dead. The theory may debunked and no on believes it anymore but stupidity never truly dies...

    And the Award for Worst theory ever is.....

    The Playtime Theory - A theory that spread around youtube comments in which people believed that Maxis had a plan to make The zombies real just because Samantha and Eddy wished for it.......This is by far the worst theory ever conceived and I rate it 5 face palms out of 5. When you actually read the theory out loud it feels kind of stupid all of a sudden doesn't it?

    The Comic book of the future - A good theory is that the comic book we read in the loading screens is actually from the future which depicts the events that led up to the apocalypse. According to the theory The zombies storyline is a new form of religion in which men and women of the future believe this to be the truth. They believe that the apocalypse happened due to technological Advances and humanity was not able to cope with it. Whether or not the events truly did happen the way they did is left a mystery that may never be proven false or truth.

     

    Number 4 

    Shangri-la is Roaming - It is an obscure theory but a theory nevertheless. The belief that Shangri-la actually moves from place to place like the mystery Box is a decent Theory since it would explain why the location has never been discovered before. It would also explain the Shangri-la Loading screen which depicts the temples being Moved elsewhere. Part of the theory was that The focusing stone which was used to teleport maxis to griffon station was the cause of the Jungle swapping locations. Maxis is sent to the Moon, The focusing stone is put in the temple in Maxis's place and thus the teleportation energy allows the jungle to switch locations.

     

    Number 3

    The Zombie equation - A somewhat new theory States that 115 does not cause the undead. Or at least it does not cause the undead alone. The concept is that 115 + Element x allows the formation of zombies. Without Element X it can do nothing. One such Example is in the Shangri-la Mines where they dug for 115. The people were exposed long enough to have collected massive amounts of 115 and then suddenly one day they became zombies. The 115 took quite a while to take effect before it actually did anything so what was the holdup?  Could it be that The element required a missing part to the zombie equation? For now we may never know....

     

    Number 2

    The Orgone Theory - A theory that goes back to call of the dead. The Vr-11 Is powered By orgone and 115. Orgone is life energy which is used to open the MPD. This life energy can be found in all living things including zombies. However zombies smaller amounts of orgone energy thus they can not reason and they can not think. This is the same concept as why a mouse can give a tiny bit of orgone to the MPD yet a Human or a Zombie Produces more than a mouse. The theory states that When the undead are given more Orgone they will begin to revert back into Humans. This is why the VR-11 turns them back. It reverses The effect that 115 had on the undead. Powered by 115 yet produces Orgone.

    Ley Energy- A Forum member once theorized the possibility of Ley energy being the cause of the Time pockets in Tranzit, Die Rise and Buried. His Theory was that there is a dormant energy known as ley energy which get stronger the more exposed you are to the center of the earth. This same ley energy is sometimes theorized in real life to effect such areas like the Bermuda triangle. The Base of the Theory is that when the rockets hit the earth it ripped open an enormous crater near each of the 3 areas, Nevada, China, and Africa. Because of the craters the Locations were exposed to massive amounts of Ley Energy thus causing the time disruptions. The largest breach of Lay energy was caused in Africa and was referred to as the Rift. Due to the massive amounts of Lay energy being exposed this pocket of time was not only able to stop time or bring in a Mechanic bus Driver such as ted into the pocket, It was able to bring an entire town and cause it to materialize underground.

  8. Call of Duty DLC 2: Inquisition

     

    With our brand new DLC we want to bring the past and the future together with 4 brand new multiplayer maps Heist, Thrill Zone, Flashback and Poseidon. We also have 2 new zombie experiences, Bio-Hazard and our Blast From the Past......Destination 935. Everything changes NOW…

     

    Heist - Heist takes place in the old west on top of a moving train. Heist is a small, close quarter map which forces players towards each other and promotes head to head combat. Hop from train cart to train cart as you fight for domination. Take the battle through the main carts or through the top of the train. Be warned though carts may become detached and become derailed.

     

    Thrill zone - Thrill zone takes place in a futuristic amusement park. Thrill Zone is a large sized map with many new ways of taking down your enemy. Players will eliminate their enemies in a land full of carnival games, arcades and the highlight of the map, a rideable roller coaster .Players will want to take control of the roller coaster since it gives a birds eye view of the map. Best of all players can activate the ride and score points by getting kills from above.

     

    Flashback - Have a war flashback and return to Vietnam. Enter the rat tunnels, use the foliage as cover and pick up a weapon that is exclusive to this map. Nam offers a medium sized combat zone with good sniping positions and tunnels that will lead you to different points in the map.

     

    Poseidon - Poseidon is our special MP map for inquisition. The Map is a large mix of close quarter and ranged combat areas within a sinking cruise ship. Take cover inside the ballroom, navigate through the flooding hallways and take control of the ship…….until it decides to turn over. Yes….The ship actually sinks mid game and the entire map is turned upside down. Killing unprepared players and providing a whole new playing field with new hazards to be aware of.

     

    Before we get to the new zombies map we would like to talk about a brand new game mode being added to the zombies universe.

     

    Bio-Hazard - Bio-Hazard is a brand new game mode being added to zombies. Each player starts of as a human but their time is quickly running out. Players will have to fight for supplies and stand tall as the last man standing. It’s every man for themselves in this hectic Game Mode..

     

     

    Destination 935

     

    With Destination 935 we wanted to do something special for returning zombie’s fans. We wanted to bring players back to the old Nazi Facility, The Giant, or as many people call it...Der Riese. Der Riese has always been our most secretive map and now at least a century later Der Riese has become a mere legend passed down by the remaining 935 members. , our heroes will travel to the remains of germany to uncover a long lost secret, a legend retold, and what could possibly be the only hope for mankind. We wanted to bring back Der Riese but make it feel like an entirely new map. The walls are covered in plant life and some of the surrounding buildings have collapsed. Unlike the original Der Riese we are now playing during the day with returning enemies, New previously inaccessible areas hold major secrets and never before seen 935 experiments that have made their home here.

     

    With Inquisition we bring the best from the past as we move towards the future. With 4 Brand new multiplayer Maps, A new zombies Game Mode, and next Exciting chapter to the zombie's storyline.

  9. Maxis.....Father of Samantha, Enemy of the world and Richtofen. A scientist who once worked at the Der Riese facility within the members of group 935. However there is a dark secret that lurks about this "Man". Something that has most recently been discovered with Plenty of evidence to support it. Now to answer the long asked question Who is Maxis....or to rephrase that more accurately...."What"...

     

    Our first Evidence comes from Der Riese. This is where Maxis's office lays in ruins. This is also where we listen to radios and discover the origin of the hellhounds. Listen now to the radios and listen to how maxis treats fluffy.

    By now you should come to realize that Maxis must really hate dogs if he is willing to put fluffy into a teleporter. Plus maxis seems really scared when He was being attacked by fluffy. Scared and has a hate of dogs.......

     

    Our second Evidence comes from Maxis's timeline.

    During the course of our story Maxis supposedly dies constantly. He comes back so many times..

     

    Supposedly died in der riese via fluffy 

    Supposedly Died on the moon Via suicide

    Supposedly died In origins prior to the map events

    Supposedly died during richtofen's endgame.

    Supposedly want to have a Merry Christmas

     

    So how is it that a single man can come so close to death yet somehow always make a comeback? Perhaps the Motd loading screen has some answers for us.

    Now For the Big reveal. If you have not figured it out then here it is....

    There is Further Evidence to this FACT in the map known as Die Rise

     

    This is a Dragon that can be found on the map

    Within the dragon's mouth you find a dragon ball or so it seems. But we will get to that later. As we can clearly see The Dragon is symbolism to the tragedy that has occurred to the world. The Moon rockets. What state is the dragon in?

     

    The Dragon is beaten up, It is corroded, it is filthy and broken. The symbolism says that Maxis's Plan was strong enough to beat a Richtofen who is like a dragon because he believes he is dominant due to his plan supposedly working. What Richtofen does not know is that He ( The Dragon) as an enemy of equal strength Maxis ( The Tiger )

    So We now have our second piece of evidence Also in relation to the dragon.

    In the Dragon's mouth we find a Dragon Ball. Or so it seems. In reality the Dragon Balls are not Dragon Balls..... They are Balls of YARN.

    Throughout the easter egg The Yarn must be kept away from the dragon because if not then The cat won't be able to achieve his plans. This is why Maxis finds it necessary for you to never put the balls in the dragon claws.

     

    So in the end the tranzit characters are just a group of lab rats being used to achieve CAT MAXIS'S EVIL PLAN!!!!

     

    YOU HAVE BEEN ENLIGHTENED !!!!  BOOM!

  10. The theory lacks evidence or any type of quote that suggests that they went to ascension or der riese. The fact that the 4 characters met near nuketown is was debunked in Buried. 

     

     

    Marlton was definitely not in the bus when it passed nuketown. Marlton and Misty were together in the town fighting the undead when Russman and stuhliner came to their rescue. The missile hitting nuketown may or may not have destroyed nuketown. The location of the missiles hitting earth caused 3 Time pockets to appear. The first location was in america the second location was in china and the third location was in africa. The aftermath resulted in Time distortions that caused things to appear that were not normally supposed to appear in that time frame. This is why Tranzit takes place in the 60's  Die Rise takes place in the 90's and The event's of buried occur In an unknown year ( Surface ) and the old western days 1865-1890'a give or take. 

     

    So it is very possible that they did not go to ascension or Der riese, Also the die rise cutscene...

     

    As for whether or not Origins fucked up the story It actually didn't because it's very likely that Origins is the paradox that occurred when you complete the Buried endgame for maxis. Think about it like this   Die Rise--> Buried(Origins)---->Next map

  11. Note: These concepts were originally part of a zombie’s map storyline called the Alpha and omega cycle. The basic concept was that we begin with the end and then make our way backwards over a 1000 year cycle in a parallel world where the zombie apocalypse occurred due to the dimensional rift created after the rockets hit earth. In other words, Worlds were colliding. As the maps went on things that were unexplained would be explained as we discover their origins and how the actions done in one map effected one of the previous maps. However I only got a few maps released before the forums broke down and since then I haven’t had the chance to post this. So please enjoy this post full of scrapped ideas and tell me which ones you liked and didn’t like. Who knows, I might consider putting some of these in another post eventually.

     

    zombies - They are blue eyed flesh eaters. In another reality they are controlled by the entity but in this reality they have no master. Their only objective is to consume all that is living. They will exist for 1000 years before they begin to decay. They come in various models depending on the time period. From freshly killed to near decayed.

     

    Pistol zombies - Zombies that reanimated while still holding a pistol. They are slow due to parts of their legs being eaten and they wobble around. Occasionally they will accidentally pull the trigger which will shoot a bullet in a random direction.

     

    Crawlers -Zombies that spawn as crawlers. They have been torn in half and will jump at players when close enough. If they miss they will land upside down and stay immobile for a moment. They will then start moving again.

     

    Immobile Zombies - Zombies that spawn only once each time a game begins. They are zombies that are incapable of moving and can be found slumped against walls. If you get too close to them they will hit you. Once killed they will not spawn anymore for the rest of the game but their bodies will remain where you killed them. They have random spawns

     

    Immobile Zombie variant 2 - Zombies that appear half buried in the ground. Their eyes flicker as the lights begin to fade away. They can barely move since they have finally begun to decay. They cannot harm players now. After 1000 years the undead have finally begun to fade away into memory….. and the people that remain on earth must begin again. To rediscover knowledge they once knew and ...rebuild.

     

    Hospital Zombies - Zombies that were strapped down to their beds before reanimation. Once they did turn, they were unable to get out of their beds and remain there until a player finds them and shoots them in the head. They give 10 points per kill and are not zombies necessary to end the round. Their bodies stay where they are once killed.

     

    Eating Zombies - These zombies appear sometimes when you buy a door. Once the door opens you will see 1 or 2 zombies crouched down and eating a person. They notice you and come after you. These particular zombies do not spawn in any specific round so they do not count as round zombies. They will appear in a freshly bought room.

     

    Zombie soldier variant 1 - A soldier that died in battle and reanimated. This variant has a vest on and can take more bullets before dying.

     

    Zombie soldier variant 2 - Same as variant 1 however this one wears a helmet which negates all headshot damage. They do not take explosive damage either.

     

    Zombie piles - A group of immobile undead that have been stacked into a huge pile. Getting too close to the pile will hurt players. Unlike doors that open automatically when you buy them, Zombie barricades begin to burn when you buy them. You must wait till they burn completely before going into the next room. Meanwhile Massive amounts of fast zombies will come after you

     

    Pheromone zombie - A special zombie that produces 115 pheromones. This attracts more zombies. It spawns alongside regular zombies and does not necessarily attack players. Until this zombie is killed the undead will not stop spawning and the round will not end. Although they are not boss zombies they will appear every 5 rounds. After a while the zombies stop giving you points so kill this boss quickly.

     

    Spec ops zombie - A zombie wearing military attire, it has a bulletproof vest, a headshot proof helmet and has explosive grenades attached around it’s thigh. Getting a direct shot at the grenade is the only way to kill it. Once the grenade is shot at it will explode and kill surrounding zombies.

     

    Cyborg Zombies - Zombies that were captured by a specific nation in the far off future. This nation managed to fend off the zombies for hundreds of years. They attached mind enhancers and brain wave manipulators onto their skulls. These steel plates prevent all damage to specific parts of the Body. The undead were then used for manual labor until yet another leak in the dimensional rift caused the mind enhancers to stop working  To take them down you must shoot them in their exposed areas.  

     

    Cart Zombies - Zombies that have been captured and chained up to a waggon. Their arms are tied and their heads have a helmet on so they can’t bite you. The wagon can hold all 4 players but requires a hunk of meat in order to move. The meat can be found around the map and attached to the hook in front of the zombies. The zombies will attempt to get the meat which results in them pulling the cart around the map.

     

    Hanging zombies - Zombies that were hung upside down by a rope. They appear to be dead but if a player approaches them they spring to life and start swinging toward players. Shooting the rope will free these zombies but killing the zombie will cause it to stay suspended in the air and motionless. these zombies will spawn every round in random locations.  Some hanging bodies are actually dead zombies while others are still alive.

     

    Body Bag zombies - Undead that are unable to escape their body bag after reanimation. They move around inside the bag but are unable to attack players or move in any direction. These zombies are used mostly as a map effect but they can be killed for a free 25 points. They also have a chance of dropping power ups. They do not affect round progression in any way.

     

    Sea weed zombies -Zombies that are completely covered in seaweed. Bullets do very little damage but the seaweed can be removed by knifing the zombie and exposing some flesh.

     

    Persian Monkey - 115 contaminated monkeys that are pure white with blood stains. They spawn inside a palace and will attempt to attack you. You can either kill or capture the monkeys. Killing the monkeys rewards you with a max ammo but capturing monkeys alive allows you to craft a Monkey bomb Deluxe.

     

    Monkey Bomb Deluxe - A monkey bomb made from a live monkey. Set it loose and control it like an RC-XD then detonate to blow up the monkey and surrounding zombies.

    Sand drifter - A creature that hides under the sand and can only be seen by a ripple that appears within the sand. Wherever the ripple goes is where the Sand drifter is.

  12. I have a idea for a zombie boss round.

    Zombie piles- a group of undead that have been piled by the military (past) and remained there until now. The zombies are alive and touching the barrier will down you instantly. These barriers block certain areas of the map and add a new element to how buying a door works. Once a zombie barrier is bought it instantly catches flames and like a hive in extinction, players must wait till the pile burns completely. Meanwhile the fire attracts a rush of zombies that will run at you regardless of round. These zombies are worth only 10 points each. Once the fire dies down the zombies begin to walk and stop spawning.

    This idea was cut from my Historia map but I might put it in a future concept.

  13. I had an idea once where one could face off against a kracken. THAT would be cool! But ghosts got to it first…

    I remember back on my old forum I had a few extinction map concepts up. I wasn't realy that good at making map concepts back then but tere were a few notable things that somehow found themselves making it into the official extinction maps

    For starters I wrote a post about an extinction map in paris. Paris would be covered in a green fog and there would be insect like creatures there. Alien bees, Alien Spiders that would hatch out of the hives, even an alien Megapede crawling in the sewers. As a boss alien there would be a giant spider queen that would lay eggs an hatch out new spiders. It would also have a toxic mist attack which would choke players.

    I also created a new weapon which would be created using alien crystals. The crystals would explode and kill aliens after a halted delay.

    In my next map called Atlantis the marines would fight a giant Sea Serpent which woul attack their submarine as it rises to the surface. Te sub woould have it's own healthbar and the leviathan would have the ability to sink the entire ship if it got the chance.

    This is also when I introduced 3 more crystals which would change the functions of the special weapon. A red crystal for fire, a blue crystal for electricity and a purple crystal for Plasma. These weapons were introduced to the map as well as a new boss. This boss was to be an alien bitd known as the phoenix which would live inside an active volcano within the magma

    Can you guess which of the things i just described sound familiar to you?

    I was accidentally futureproofing stuff left and right.

    I have heard people mention Der Riese having Call of the Dead's thumbnail somewhere in the map.

     

    If it's true, then yes, seeing as they used Ascension and COTD, because I am going to assume these thumbnails were changed a bit in the 2 years.

    I believe the thumbnails were on the billboard in the room with the 2 green brain jars

    But I;m just saying that a large majority of the discussion would be arguing if Benn is a legit source or not.

     

    Personally, I like to think of the "What ifs" like the whole Moon being Paris thing.

     

    What if Kino was in WAW not BO1, Would "Five" be the default map for BO1?

    How about this....Someone make a "What if post" for people to discuss what if Such and such happened. And we accept Benn as a legit source. I know some of his videos are hard to understand but once you get used to it you will be able to tell the difference between BS and non BS information that is thrown in the mix to throw people off. 

     

    On another note, Since der riese had BS images on the bulletin board featuring Ascension and call of the dead. Does this mean that The Paris image is considered Beta?

  16. Black ops 2 fails Analysis and Tips for future handling

     

    Step 1: No dumb generic locations such as theme parks or malls. If they want to do something like that they should wait till the main storyline ends. Main maps should be Interesting and relevant to the story. Tranzit, Die rise, Motd, and Buried were all somewhat boring to look at location wise and story involvement wise. Although Motd had a great story on it's own it did very little to actually contribute to anything worthwhile and would have made a better bonus map than a Dlc Map. The other 3 maps Die rise, Tranzit and Buried are also very bland to look at. As we all know Tranzit, Die Rise and Buried take place inside Pockets of time created by the collision of the rockets in the general area. Temporal displacements occurred and that's why we have....cowboys underground ( Sounds ridiculous doesn't it?) Something that would have really helped Tranzit, Die Rise and Buried would have been more interesting radios. This is an aspect that Motd got right in a way. The radios In Motd although part of the egg furthered the story and put more insight onto what was going on. With Tranzit we got some radios via T.v that depicted what was going on during the initial destruction of earth. Those were interesting enough however the Die Rise T.V Radios pretty much rehashed what was already made clear in tranzit. Then in Buried there were nor Radios at all. Origins finally brought back the classic radio style however It could have been better if there wasn't a big blue X telling you where the radios were. Finding the radios was just as much fun as hearing what it had to say.

     

    Step 2 : The wonder weapons were not actually " Wunder" they were more, Special weapons. The wunderwaffe works because it was a key element to the story, Same goes for the thundergun and the Vr-11. Each weapon was unique and created by great minds. However in black ops 2 that seemed to go all down the drain when the jet gun was introduced. The jet gun was a horrible weapon, but perhaps I could forgive it if it had a good back story to why it's there. Sadly it did not. The story was that a bunch of survivors duct taped a bunch of crap together and technically made a giant vacuum cleaner that breaks easily. The Sliquifier was the equivalent of filling a watergun with soap. Motd Seemed to get the aspect of Wunder somewhat more correct than the previous 2 maps. The Blundergat was a mysterious weapon with a hellish design. Now that was interesting. When it was turned into the acidgat it gained more "wunder" aspects to it. Buried, although the most boring map to play had the best wonder weapon that I could actually look at and put the word " Wunder" on it. The Paralyser was strange, It was unique, it had abilities that could not be achieved by the common survivor. This weapon brought back the true feel of a Wunder weapon. Origins had the staves and I don't really want to get too much into them since they aren't exactly " Wunder". Are they interesting weapons? Yes indeed they are.

     

    Step 3 : Character development and story progression is crucial especially if you have brand new characters. This means using all 5 main maps to further develop them and the world around them. The reason the tranzit crew failed to be as good as the original characters was because of the campaign team who pretty much occupied too much space. Tranzit characters only got 3 maps for development. Motd took away that chance and pretty much ruined everything. Then treyarch decided to end their arc with buried which should not have ended until map pack 4. Origins also wasted a map space. 

     

    Step 4 : The easter egg and it's steps. The easter eggs for a zombies cycle should never rehash an old objective. Tranzit was light a tower, Die Rise was Light a tower and buried was light a tower. Motd and Origins had better easter eggs because we were accomplishing something different and we saw the end result of each one. Even at the end of The Buried endgame It still feels lack luster due to the lack of sense in accomplishing anything. During the Black ops Cycle we collected the focusing stone and the Golden Rod. Then on Moon we saw how the Golden Rod and the stone become one object and used to open the MPD. That objective was extremely satisfactory because we could see how each egg effected the endgame. With the Black Ops 2 cycle we just have to assume that by putting the navcards in did something that caused One character to become Ruler. The same thing can be said for each individual egg step. During Black Ops 2 each easter egg step seem to do something that we could not see. Why did richtofen need the Nav table heated up? Why did that help? You can understand the avogadro because the tower needs power but the flesh? Why did he need the flesh? What did the 115 do?. Then same thing could be said for Die rise, and buried. Motd was different however because each step furthered the plot. The characters go to the bridge 3 times then they start noticing the cycle. Then eventually everything leads them deeper into the rabbit hole till they reach the climax of the egg. Origins egg was better than the Tranizt, Die Rise, and the Buried egg although still not on par with the Black ops eggs. In Black Ops shangri-la each step would allow gary and brock to progress through the chambers and the traps. Eventually it led us to the stone. Same thing could be said about call of the dead and Moon. The thing that makes these egg steps work is because we get to see how each step changed things and now shows why the next step needed to be done.

     

    So with that I conclude my analysis of Why Black Ops 2 Zombies mostly failed. I have also gone over what Treyarch needs to do in order to provide a much deeper impact. Does this mean That zombies is shit? No, not necessarily. Whether a game or not did well all depends on the player who plays the game.

    I disagree. He has no connection to treyarch whatsoever. Here's some things he claimed:

    "The navcards will play a huge role in Mob of the Dead"

    "I've played Origins [before it was released] and no the corpse has absolutely nothing to do with the map or the story."

    "The corpse Richtofen was operating on is not Maxis"

     

    I also remember Kevin Sherwood nailing him and his zombie inspired band songs to the wall before Kino was released because some people thought that they were related to Treyarch.

     

    I heard somewhere that he bought some shares in Activision.

     

     

    Anyway, I think this is getting a bit too off topic.

     

    Back to the beta, we can discuss the legitimacy of Benn in a different topic.

     

     

    Has anyone except me actually thought how different BO2 would be if Paris was the final map before BO2?

     

    Perhaps the world would have not been destroyed. Maybe it would have. If not missiles then what? Maybe a giant laser shooting out of the Eiffel tower?
