  1. I have never seen them say that and it would be the biggest mistake they could make if they did.
  2. In Greek Mythology, there is a story about a woman named Pandora. She was the first woman on earth, created by Zeus. The story can be found here. http://greece.mrdonn.org/greekgods/pandora.html As you can see when you read, Pandora opens the box and all the evils of the world come out. Any possible evil you can imagine came from this box. As I finally achieved completion of Richtofen's Easter Egg and had three other friends prepared to see all of our efforts show a result, I approached the box in the courthouse and pressed the red button. An earthquake happens and Richtofen has now gained all power and is a god. I then went and watched the result of Maxis' ending and found that he takes over and plans to kill all. I was immediately drawn to this box in the courthouse. It seemed like a very random way to activate all of the towers. There had to be some significance to this box. Why a box? I was then drawn to the myth of Pandora's Box. Pandora's Box just seems to fit everything that happened. When the big button is pushed, or the box opened if you will, all hell breaks loose. Richtofen goes mad with power and Maxis goes mad with power. Neither of them have good intentions for the earth and it seems that only bad things can come from this. Death for all is never a good thing. It seems that Pandora has opened the box and all hell has broken loose across the earth. I believe this is the reference that the developers were trying to make with the box. I believe that this box is Pandora's Box for zombies. With it opened, all of the evil imaginable has come out. One must remember the end of the story though to understand why it's a good thing that the reference is Pandora's Box. While all seems grim. While all seems utterly lost now. There is one thing that also came out of the box. Hope. And having Hope is the best thing that could happen for the storyline.
  3. Yes I wanted to figure out the easter egg with my group so I stayed off for a bit to avoid spoilers. I'm glad to be back though discussing everything!
  4. As we know, Group 935 attempted to make super soldiers with 115. Their goal was to have the strongest soldiers during World War II and to win the war with them. Experiments were unsuccessful. Super solider experiments would soon switch to zombies and the Germans attempted to create an undead army, the ultimate super soldier. But tests were still done on humans. We can see this in Call of the Dead as Richtofen describes experiments performed on Tank, Takeo, and Nikolai. He even describes how Nikolai in particular responded to a certain stimuli, vodka. So some did survive these tests. Others were not so fortunate. We have seen throughout the game that while solid 115 isn't harmful, a liquid form can be deadly, even turning those exposed into zombies. But these three were not. Which leads me to believe that there were others that were successful as well. Sloth seems to be just another added gimmick to the zombies game that is meant for just fun and helpfulness. And at first glance, you are correct. In fact, I'd say you are right. But I also believe there he has a backstory just like any other character in the game. So what do we know about Sloth? He is a very large man with a childlike fascination with things, yet is extremely strong and responds to certain stimuli, such as candy and booze. Sloth sounds exactly like a super solider that the German army was hoping for. He's strong and powerful. But that's not enough reasons. So here are a few more. 1. He responds to certain stimuli. Just like Nikolai did with vodka, Sloth responds to candy and booze and does tasks for the player. 2. His strength is unmatched. 3. He has been infused with 115. Now why do I believe he is infused with 115? For one, the strength and responses to stimuli point to tests such as those that were performed on other super soldier prospects. Secondly, people who have been infused with liquid 115 become zombies. Freeze! Sloth isn't a zombie! So theory busted Fated! Wrong. Look at the O4. They were tested on and they aren't zombies. But zombies still attack them. So what is different about Sloth than the O4? For starters, the O4 were not super strong. It seems that tests may not have been as fully done on them as they were on Sloth. Also, the O4 still seem to be themselves. They've just lost their memories. Look at Sloth. He seems to not be completely there. He mumbles, like a zombie, and doesn't seem to be very smart. I propose that Sloth is a super soldier that the Germans created. The injection of 115 turned him into a part zombie, but not full zombie. The reason being that the zombies do not acknowledge him, just like they are one of him, but he obviously has no bloodthirst for brains or anything of the sort. He responds to stimuli and takes orders like other subjects did. This doesn't only apply to Nikolai, but Subject 26 from Kino radios. His part zombification is the reason that zombies are not attracted to him, but are attracted to the O4. I know this is probably a bit confusing, so just let me know what you think. I'd love your feedback!
  5. I apologize if this has already been theorized, but I've been avoiding Buried until I completed the Easter Egg and everything involved. Now that it is complete, I am ready to theorize! So let's look at both sides of the Easter Egg. On Maxis' side, he states that no one on Earth will be left. That means that he will kill the T4. On Richtofen's side, we go into the future to Round Infinity. Richtofen tells us that this is our future. As we look around, we notice we are searching our own bodies for the switch. In other words, the future for our T4 is dying in Buried. So why does this mean the O4 are returning? Well do you really believe that the devs would put an entirely new crew into the game with only one map left? I don't think they would do that. So what do you think? Let me know your thoughts.
  6. As many of you know, I try to avoid a lot of spoilers when a new map comes out, so I probably won't respond in this thread much. I just wanted to throw this out there for everyone to think about. Return to Processing Where are things processed? A receiving bay... I'll let you decide where I'm going with that...
  7. I don't feel like finding Mahjong tiles and such. Is it possible to just trial and error punching the tower?
  8. Interestingly enough, that is not the same as the Die Rise loading screen side. They must have changed it after making Die Rise's screen.
  9. Can I have a reason why? So that I can know next time.
  10. Would this not be considered a leak? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I am genuinely wondering.
  11. Vonderhaar just confirmed that our old friend, Mr. Monkey Bomb will be returning for Buried.

    Arlington

Never thought about this until today(thanks Mac, Tac, and Milo) but Arlington is not only Al's last name, but it is also the location of one of the nations largest cemeteries with some of the most important names in US History BURIED there. Just a thought.... http://www.arlingtoncemetery.mil/
  13. So after analyzing these songs again today, I found a few interesting connections between the two. 1. Both are the first song on their respective games. 2. Both have the main singer speaking of not being able to feel. It's like both are possessed by something other than themselves. The songs seem to support this. 3. Both talk about being the chosen one. Perhaps it is possible that there is some demonic being that takes control of the one inside the MPD. While part of them is still there, the majority of them has been taken over by this demon. This is why Samantha says there is something far worse that lies in the MPD. I also would like to note that perhaps Samantha knew Maxis' plan all along. She seems to be conversing with the demon in 115 saying how he overlooked something and that she'll bring him down on her own. Does she know her father's hand? Lots to explore within these two songs and lots of connections. Just something I saw and would love your thoughts on.
  14. MP and Zombies are different beasts. MP maps can be reskinned and still loved because it's the layout that matters, not the theme normally. For zombies, it's both. A map can have a great theme but poor layout. Look at TranZit or Shangri-la for this. A map can also have a great layout but poor theme. That's what I'm afraid can happen here.
  15. Will there be a tower involved in this map? I can't decide personally. For one, the other two towers have matched our explosion locations of the rockets when compared to the picture of earth on Moon after nuking. But if this is in America, it wouldn't fit that picture any longer. But I also think tree will be because Jimmy made a reference in a tweet that our choices were about to make a difference.
  16. I think I'm one of the few that thought MotD, atmosphere wise, was great but gameplay-wise I didn't like. I liked Die arise better.
  17. I'm not disappointed because its underground. I just don't understand how this western theme fits anywhere into zombies.
  18. I'm not attempting to discredit Mix's theory. In fact, I just made an observation from the loading screens and wanted to discuss. I don't understand why this has to be an attack on a theory or anything. Treyarch has never said that they accepted the pyramid theory. And they haven't accepted mine. I don't understand why discussion can't occur without someone coming in and degrading it all and the people involved.
  19. I would argue that the theory you just stated MMX is a much larger stretch than my, especially looking at it from the comic book stand point. But whatever you say. You are the authority on all zombies.
  20. Anticlimactic for a final map, not a mid range DLC map. And I think it's expected because we know it's been an idea and Der Riese has us pointing towards it still.
  21. After seeing what we've seen of Buried, I have to say that I'm not excited at all. An old western-themed map...underground. Really? How does this relate to anything? The zombies look ridiculous, not scary. The location looks really dumb honestly. The bosses look really strange and uncreative(let's play off of the giant redneck concept). The whole thing screams BLAH to me. Now, story may change it for me. They claim there's much more story involved in this. I just don't understand why we are in an old west town that's underground. Where do you even come up with that stuff? It just seems pretty random and doesn't fit zombies at all. I just really am disappointed. I was expecting something amazing in Paris or some other place that would finish our towers and we'd see a huge effect. And while I'm sure there'll be some kind of tower, I don't see how we'll have anything of significance occur at this location. I really would love to know who was sitting in staff meeting and said "An old west town underground." And more than that, I'd love to see who actually agreed to that... I apologize for my venting. I love zombies and love the story involved. But this just seems like a slap in the face from Treyarch.
  22. See I don't believe it lands on it while astronauts are there. This is what I see. 1. Shangri-la tornado storm occurs. 2. Temple is thrown into space. 3. Temple lands on Moon. 5. Richtofen teleports to the temple. 6. Richtofen teleports to Shangri-la. 7. Richtofen brings Germans back to Moon in teleporter. As you can see in the loading screen, one astronaut is ahead of the others looking as if he's saying "Come on it's this way!" 8. Germans destroy the temple to have easy access to MPD. 9. Griffin Station built. 10. Events occur. 11. Crew arrives at Shangri-la. 12. Crew arrives at Moon.
  23. What I'm saying is that the the pyramid didn't move right before the O4 got there. I'm saying that it occurred before Richtofen came. It's like a flashback in the panels explaining how things got to that position when we are playing there.
  24. Remember that the man isn't playing the game. He's working on it. That's why there are no hands and the round counter is at 15.
