He even mentions going to somewhere which is heavily alluded to be Buried

    When does he mention this?

11 hours ago, Nightmare Voyager said:

Logic says he does and anyone arguing otherwise just doesn't want to accept that the O4 are not in a location we have seen before.

It would be reason that says he does, not logic.  Logically, what you're saying does not necessarily follow.  Reasonably, it does.

I'll be anticipating your thread over what you described above, @Nightmare Voyager, because with what we've discussed before and your explanation above, I'm not entirely sold yet haha :p  Any idea when that will be coming out?

  2. This sounds very plausible @Nightmare Voyager, awesome work.  However, I do wonder if Maxis actually went to the MPD considering we don't see one in the edited loading screen.  That's what makes me skeptical.  Also, I think at the end of the thread, you should add something in there about why this matters, or why this is important.  Like, it's cool that they switched Maxis and Samantha's role, but what's the relevance?  It would only matter that Maxis is in the MPD and Sam is in the caves if we continued in the Giant timeline, but it seems we may not be.  Additionally, I'm a bit confused as to how this is a resolution to the old story like you mentioned.  Is there any way you could delve into that a bit more? :)

For anyone who cares, here's the image of Samantha that I photoshopped into the loading screen:

I suspect the summoning key is used to open holes between worlds, if that's the case, I see the summoning key being the gateway across the multidimensional realm.

By holes do you mean wormholes, like the Rifts we have in Shadows of Evil?  Or do you mean something else?

Tomato, Potato! They're both in South America which was my point. Shangri-La is in Brazil! I only say that because in the radios for Shangri-La Brock and Gay Gary talk about Natives as if they are traveling through cities and towns to get to Shangri-La. Don't they also equate the zombies to natives? Probably not. Either way, I believes and always have believed that Shangri-La was in Brazil. I mean, what else is there? Buried is in Africa and every other map takes place in fuck-all. I love Shangri-La too, so it's position is doggy style in Brazil.

I don't think Shangri-La is in Brazil, but actually in the Himalayas.  Do you know of any evidence to suggest it's in South America?

very true. the iron part makes me think of a mech. and i hope to god its not a point at the giants cause there is a rumor saying there is a giant in the map

It appears that there may be, here's a video about it.  Not sure how I feel about it, or what role I think it will play, but it does seem to be a thing.

U know, I never thought it would be the name of the castle. that is a good idea

Granted the castle likely isn't made of iron, so there's that, but something I could see happening.  But, like you said in OP, likely a mechanization of some sort.

Like, I feel like the only one talking about the story anymore which is a shame because it gets boring.

Agree completely.  Very few of us left who are actually talking about it.  It sucks.

i really am wondering what is to happen with the summoners key and rich, the monastery looks like a teleporter room, however we do see the cable car moving. so idk how we are getting here, but the rockets are pretty interesting. almost like ascension looking. the whole "dragon" theory seems really out there but there is a castle so i guess we shall see. as far as everyone knows....we know nothing about what is going to go down, only that the new map looks amazing and the coordinates lead to here. everything else is thoughts. My thought is that this place is going to answer a lot of big qs like what is maxis planning? IE his actual plan. I wonder if this will lead up to the moon remake being the last DLC like in BLOPS1. should be really interesting.

I personally have doubts about a Moon remake, but I suppose that's for another thread.  I too am curious about the Rift Stone and what will happen to it, but I suspect it will be used to merge all the realities or something like that.

  8. To me, and some others, the quotes signify that for some reason, their memories are becoming clouded and personalities of the "old" characters are seeping into this timeline.  The personalities are bleeding from one to the other.  Why is the case?  Perhaps the dimensional convergence brought about by the Shadow Man in Shadows of Evil includes the original and Giant timelines (or perhaps all of them), and they are going to all bleed together.  That's my personal theory, at least.

  9. Right!  Okay, now I'm back on track.  There are a few theories regarding who is speaking in the quote and who it's directed towards.  Remember that I said I'm still figuring it all out for myself, but right now I am confident that the Dempsey in the radio is Origins Dempsey, attempting to speak to the original Dempsey.  More work will have to be done to hone in on this, but that's where I currently stand.

    So where are the testsubjects?

    We are unsure.

    33 minutes ago, kilerbrambo88x said:

Do they know the young origins crew went to the TheGiant dimension?

Unlikely.  I'm still torn on this part of the story, so bear that in mind, but my current guess is that the test subjects don't have any idea that the Origins crew exist.

    35 minutes ago, kilerbrambo88x said:

    Why are they called testsubjects?

They're called "test subjects" because that's what they were to Dr. Richtofen.  Until they travel to Shi No Numa, they're simply Dr. Richtofen's subjects.

    36 minutes ago, kilerbrambo88x said:

Do they need to be killed to?

Unsure.  We honestly don't know much about what will come of them, but we know that Tank, Takeo, and Nikolai want them, so I assume they won't be killed (unless Richtofen randomly does so).

Can we see like 2 dempseys in 1 map?

We can't, unfortunately.  That would be sweet though!

I may be in the minority here, but I for one DO believe there is a dragon...If youre not already ware, there are some that suggest you can see a dragon in the Der Eisendrache picture, after some inspection, I see what looks like an Iron Dragon laying down behind the wall its eye(eye hole) is clearly visible and the spiky protrusions the snake along the whole way are enough to put me over the top. Check it out if you get a chance

Would you be able to show me where it is?

How about this, my idle test subjects. The fact that our original Heroes from The Giant mention different places. Such as France; Origins and Peru; Shangri-La. I'd say these characters have officially confirmed the location of Shangri-La simply by mentioning Peru as it's the only possible map they could be referencing to. As for these multiverse PaP theories, they are kewl. A universe where the Apothicans created their rendition, a universe where the Keepers created their rendition, a universe where a blacksmith put it all together. What's next? Samantha explains that the box is in her room and it originated in the Home Department Store? It's cool to see different takes on the same concept, however, it just makes the story more bloated and possibly uninteresting for an outsider. This is my only concern. People on the outside will never fully understand.

Just as a smal correction, he mentions Brazil, not Peru, and it's not related to Shangri-La.

Nice find by him.  Instead of teleporting here, perhaps the Origins crew fixed the Giant at Der Riese and used it to get to here. It seems unlikely we will use that gondala during the map since its a slow and long ride. Like others have said, it makes sense that the gondala is part of an opening scene that brings them to the castle and the Giant could have gotten them to the site.

My assumption had been that the crew released the beacon for Maxis to come, and that's how they got out.

How is it on mars? The temples are in the himalayas, they don't teleport to Mars. The loading screen isn't the same time but that does not mean it can move planets. That is grasping at far too many straws storyline wise. Their is no reason for it either, it would complicate an already complicated story to a point beyond belief. Anyways all of the proof in Radaustins video literally shows its not on Mars. Its impossible for the map to be on Mars and definitely for the loading screen considering it has the same eclipse.

Also their is so much proof for it being the same timeline in game and in the loading screens, it would take me so long to list them all. We are getting a Moon remake. If not, I will eat my socks.

I'm not debating whether we'll get a remake; I'm debating whether it'll be in the same timeline as The Giant.  But, only time will tell.

  15. 7 minutes ago, Nightmare Voyager said:

I am not putting words into your mouth I genuinely read it and thought thats what you said. Although you technically did saying that she is on Mars in that scene that shows Shangri La. So how does that work if it isn't on Mars? It definitely is not on Mars. But theirs obviously something to do with it, I still don't know what though.

Also that new moon loading screen is this timeline, the Giant one. Its in the same comic book. Also I can guarantee without a doubt that will be a remade map in the DLC, although I think the temple might be accessible too, because all of those months back. So long ago when the DICE Summit, their was the new Der Riese loading screen. I so strongly thought their would be a remake of it. I was right too, their is no need to create this loading screen and show what it shows without it being a map, even with the storyline it shows. Although it would be a remake along with other maps. Treyarch have please fans so much with BO3. I bet they are going to do another Rezzurection set in this universe.

That may have been the theory in its primacy, but it was changed to a more sensible one.  And something worth pointing out is that the Loading Screen is not the same time as the map, so most of the reasons you give for Shangri-La not being on Mars are besides the point.  I argue that at the time of the loading screen, it's on Mars, not that it's there when we play there.  However, that's what most people assume.

And it very well may deal with that timeline, but we don't know.  There's little true evidence to suggest it belongs to that one over any other.

  16. Regarding the Mars topic, you're putting words in my mouth.  I haven't suggested that the map is on Mars, and I agree with all the things you said above.  I only meant that in there was a connection of some sort, which you seem to agree with.

As for the rest of that, it's certainly possible.  I've personally believed the new Moon loading screen was intended in a way that didn't make it canon.  I'm not convinced yet that it's important.  If he did get teleported to the Moon and is the controller for that reality, I don't see the relevance of it.  We likely won't have anything to do with that reality.

  17. 2 hours ago, Nightmare Voyager said:

Nope. Its the same loading screen, Shangri La comes before Moon and its also nowhere to be found on that loading screen.

Whats?  I'm confused with what you're saying.  The section of the new Moon loading screen that has Samantha in what appears to be an orange cave is not Buried. The orange wall of rock lines up perfectly with the Shangri-La loading screen, and I've presented what I believe to be a strong Shangei-La and Mars connection.  Therefore, I believe that that section of loading screen is her dominion on Mars.  Even if not true, that's irrelevant to our current conversation I suppose, as we were talking about just the loading screens themselves.

Just for fun, I looked up "Blacksmith" as a definition and also Looked UP Michael Faraday

"Faraday's breakthrough came when he wrapped two insulated coils of wire around an iron ring, and found that upon passing a current through one coil a momentary current was induced in the other coil.[2] This phenomenon is now known as mutual induction.[44] The iron ring-coil apparatus is still on display at the Royal Institution. "

    Definition of blacksmith

    1. :  a person who makes or repairs things made out of iron

What if Michael Faraday being involved in the Teleporters and the PaP earned him some kind of nickname,   The Coils from the Teleport and the talk about current and electromagnetic fields are derived from Faraday discovery?

Outside of that...... Someone had to create the PaP.... in the "Multiverse" the need arouse to have a powerful upgraded weapon.  I wonder if we pull this thread... were it would lead us..

That's very interesting, I'll have to think that over.  Thanks for the information.
