Next-gen consoles for Black Ops III

Well, it looks like Treyarch let the dogs out.

In today's official reveal of Black Ops III, Call of Duty fans were presented with a dark, violent, and futuristic visual experience of the next Treyarch title. Human augmentation took gameplay mechanics to the next CoD level by introducing several game-changing factors such as wall running, melee-to-weapon transformation, underwater combat, and even a quick (and I mean QUICK) sneak peak to our new Zombies mode.

But not everyone is allowed onto the hype train.

According to Treyarch Studio head Mark Lamia, the past generation consoles - Xbox 360, Playsation 3, and Wii-U - are not in the studio's priority for porting the upcoming game into. This means the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC will be bringing home the trophy. How better to explain it than Lamia himself:

"There are no 'ports'. The game is made on multiple platforms, it's the beginning of a new generation and we're showing it to you on all these platforms, to dispel some of the misconceptions about development."

Amidst the dark and eerie night
A choice to make – to run or fight?
      The undead horde approaches fast
Armed with weapons, till the very last
In Call of Duty: World at War - Zombies
The battle for survival never ceases
A test of skill, courage and wits
As waves of zombies just never quits
Blood-soaked grounds and a burning sky
The stakes are high, the danger nigh
But in this game, we rise above
To conquer the undead with brute, tough love
With finger on the trigger and heart in hand
We face the terror, and take a stand
For in this game, we live or die
With Call of Duty: World at War - Zombies, we must survive.

and later released worldwide on December 14, 2011.
The game features the same gameplay mechanics as its predecessor, with players fighting off waves of zombies as they try to survive for as long as possible. The game also includes a new storyline set in a Cold War-era Pentagon, with the characters from the original Zombies mode returning to fight off the undead.
The game allows for up to four players to play together via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, and also includes a single-player mode with a new leaderboard system to track high scores.
Call of Duty: Black Ops – Zombies received mixed reviews upon release, with critics praising the game's addictive gameplay and multiplayer functionality, but criticizing the graphics and lack of content compared to the console versions of the game. Despite this, the game was a commercial success, with over a million downloads in its first week of release.

    • The LG 27-Inch UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor is currently available for its lowest price ever, letting you add it to your battlestation for just $597 (down from $1,000). That's over $400 off its regular price--and with previous discounts only knocking it down by a few hundred bucks, this is a great time to finally upgrade your monitor. As you'd expect, the monitor looks every bit as premium as its price tag suggests, with ultra-thin bezels and plenty of adjustment options to get the right viewing angle for your setup. It's normally a bit overpriced at $1,000, but at less than $600, it's a great option for anyone seeking a premium display. Along with a great display and design, LG built the monitor with DTS Headphones:X2 support, along with a 4-pole headphone jack for stereo headphone signal and mono microphone signal. In other words, you'll be able to easily communicate with your teammates without sacrificing audio quality. If you don't need something as premium as the LG 27-Inch UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor, there are a few other deals to check out. The LG 27-Inch Nano Gaming Monitor is a nice alternative, as it's just $300 (down from $380). Its refresh rate isn't quite as compelling, but at 165Hz it's still good for gaming--as is its 2560 x 1440 resolution. For something a bit larger, you'll find the Acer Nitro 31.5-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor discounted to $170 (down from $230). Its 1920 x 1080 resolution isn't as vibrant as the LG monitors above, but you're still getting a nice 165Hz refresh rate at a great price. View the full article
