New Black Ops 3 "Ember" Trailer

With the official Black Ops 3 reveal just three days away, fans around the world would have been forgiven for not expecting to hear much more, if anything from our friends over at Treyarch until the big day on the 26th of April. However, Treyarch have been making a habit of doing things out of the ordinary, GKNova 6 and more recently the Snapchat viral are clear examples of this, and so with just three days remaining until we get the official reveal, Treyarch have released yet another teaser trailer for us to sink our teeth into. Titled "Ember", the new teaser focuses on the use of a mixture of both archive footage and live action film to draw us into the moral argument of when science goes too far, and whether or not the government could be hiding just how advanced the technology we have really is. It also seemed to gravitate upon the year 2065, 50 years into our future, which has sparked speculation about whether this could be the year that Black Ops 3 will be set.

One thing is clear; as always Treyarch are going all out to get everyone as hyped as possible before the release of the next game in the Call of Duty series. We only have to wait three more days until we get to see exactly what Treyarch have installed for us over the coming weeks.

    • Blizzard has outlined what changes it has planned for Overwatch 2's third season. In a brief blog post shared on the official website, director Aaron Keller admitted that the new Ranked mode "suffered from poor comprehension", acknowledging that there was "confusion around players' real rank and how that translated to skill level, difficulty forming groups with friends, and a negative impression of the matchmaker when players of different ranks were put in the same match". "We will be implementing some changes in S3 and quite a few more in S4 all aimed at creating more clarity in the system. More details on short-term changes and long-term vision will be coming soon," Keller said. Read more View the full article

In an interview with IGN, Spencer stressed that the series will "always be iconic for Xbox" despite the "missteps that [they] made as a team". "What we're doing now is we want to make sure that leadership team is set up with the flexibility to build the plan that they need to go build," Spencer explained. "And Halo will remain critically important to what Xbox is doing, and 343 is critically important to the success of Halo. Read more View the full article
