The date of Five and Ascension has to be after the Cuba missle crisis which ended on the 20th November 1962.

We know this because of what Mcnamara says to Castro, "Prime Minister Castro, this missile crisis was the last straw. We almost blew ourselves up. Now we invited you here today..."

Basically he tells him that the crisis is over now giving us the start of the window in time which Five & Ascension are set in.

This quote happens right before a zombie smashes in through a window at the Pentagon, meaning tha the Five outbreak happened immediately after the end of the Cuba missle crisis.

So it's 1962... I think...
