I'm still all for the idea of, per DLC, one big, complex map and one simpler survival map, be it a remake of an old zombies map or a rehash of a multiplayer map like they did in the earlier days, then everyone's happy. Surely, with the popularity of The Giant from both seasoned and new players, this was a sign that a lot of people enjoy the simpler maps? Great for just jumping right into a game without having to spend the majority of your time running around doing searching, quests and EEs. With a lack of features (just perks, box, traps and PaP really) it shouldn't take them very long. Alas, I don't see this happening, but it's a nice idea...

Would be pretty cool to get a few "extra maps" in the last 2 dlc packs. Like Nacth Der Untoten and Nuketown. They aren't big maps and they could keep the gameplay pretty simple. It would be nice to have few other options besides The Giant for a map to just play without having to carefully think where to spend your points and what to do next all the time...

  2. I just played Zetsubou No Shima yesterday and completed the easter egg with my little brother. I must say that the map and the atmosphere is very good and I like it once set up. The biggest problem is the long and tedious set up it has... Just the fact that if I manage to fail on round 15 I pretty much won't be bothered to try again...

Yeah... i hope they fix that and make a shared inventory...

But further i have to say that the trasher is the easiest midboss in bo3 - the panzer and the margwa were a lot harder ...

A single Margwa or Panzer is indeed harder than a single trasher, but the fact that there are multiple trashers basically every round it is quite annoying.... probably the most annoying thing about trasher is the respawning right in front of you and one hitting you...

  4. Welcome to CODZ :) youtube would be better to make videos IMO and I'm always interested in new zombies youtubers. What kind of approach you're going to take when making videos? Is it going to be like humorous or more serious videos or maybe just playing?

Lol, it just opposite for me. BO1 is lagless, while BO2 (if I dont wait) lags like hell. Clear space indeed may help. And cant you first log in on the account of your BO1 DLC, then download it, and then log out and log in in your newer account. What DLC is it btw.

I don't have access to the account anymore :D otherwise it would work... also all other DLC than the last one which I think is bought with my current account. Anyways have to try it out this weekend as I really want to revisit those BO1 maps :3

WaW and BO1 are fine on my console, but since I downloaded DLC's for BO2, it lags more. If you wait on the zombie main menu and zombie xbox life menu a minute, the lag is most of the times gone for me.

Well i have to try that and maybe try to clear some space on my PS3 since I think the problem might be similar that I just have too much stuff in there. Also if I get a new ps3 it means that at least BO1 dlc is gone cause it was purchased with different account :/ The thing that suprises me most is that BO2 doesn't lag that much even Origins, but playing BO1 in Kino is almost "unbearable"... :D

Then play it! Buy an old console for 50€ and play WaW, BO1 and BO2. I dont have a next gen console or BO3. I still play the shit out of the good old games (not that BO3 isnt good, dont understand me wrong).

I still have PS3 and BO! and BO2 on it. The problem is that for some reason those games lag like hell so it's not really enjoyable...

If the problem is my PS3, getting a brand new one costs 200€ in my country at least and getting an used PS3 you might end up getting the same problem.

I agree. I miss kino styled maps. Simplicity and ability to play with randoms without having too many expectations.

This is something I must agree with. You just can't go in a BO3 map with randoms (The Giant being an exception). It really requires everyone to have a mic and understanding of the map mechanics and what they should do. In BO1 I used to play with randoms quite a lot, in BO2 not that much and in BO3 basically not at all. It would be cool to get a few remastered BO1 or even WAW maps in BO3 with gobblegums and such, just to have maps that are simple to pick up and play without having to think too much.

  9. I miss BO1 more than BO2, but that's mainly cause I played zombies so much during BO1 and for some reason most of the BO2 maps didn't appeal to me as well as BO1 zombies maps. BO2 had MOTD and Origins which i think are both in Top 5 zombie maps easily, but then the lack of good maps in general makes BO1 a bit better IMO.

Also what I miss is the simplicity and the feeling that all these side quests were optional. Now it's just all too tedious and every game you play in a certain map starts the same way... You wanna get things done in early rounds when it's easier, but it makes everything so tedious and boring ugh... Like getting the pack-a-punch in SOE or the bows in DE or ZNS the whole ******* map.

  10. I can't decide if I want Infinite warfare + COD4 remaster

    or

    Battlefield 1

The reason is I really like these "historical" war games that goes back to WW1 and WW2 era... I also happened to like BO3 game mechanics suprisingly much. But I think it's time to get a more traditional game rather than futuristic space battles.

But to make this decision harder Infinity Warfare is going to have zombies which is something I'm really interested in. Also COD4 is the first Call Of Duty I've played so would be nice to play the remaster just for the nostalgia.

And for those who say "Why not get both"... I'm a poor student... I can barely afford one game :/

I played the demo of a R&C game back when you got a demo disk along with your console on the PS2 and I did like it but I think I never beat it.

Heard nothing but good things about this game.

I may check it out just for the old memories. :')

I juste beat the game and damn it was good :3 I mean... I've been a fan of the series since the PS2 releases and R&C1 and R&C3 are definitely my favorites. I've been a bit dissapointed how Insomniac went with the series before this one. All4One and Q-Force didn't feel like Ratchet & Clank and Into The Nexus was a bit too short, but it was a step back to right tracks

Really hoping they would continue with this and release remade versions of R&C2 and R&C3. Oh the nostalgia from the levels :3

  12. Has anyone here played the new Ratchet & Clank game? What are your thoughts on it?

I must say the game looks pretty good visually and so far what I have played it's quite perfect. Getting those nostalgia moments when I go to the remastered levels and still it feels so new cause of the new weapons and such. This is the R&C game I've been waiting for a while now. This really went back to what they used to be :)

  13. Although I'm excited to see what they're up to, I still think they should have gone different way and leave zombies to Treyarch. I really liked the special ops missions in Modern Warfare 2 and I think they should have done that in infinite warfare too. I'm not saying the zombies mode they're making is going to be bad, but as I'm pretty sure that it's different from Treyarch zombies, I'm not gonna like it as much. But oh well... we'll just have to wait and see what's coming ;)

  14. Ooh this ones pretty cool :) Samanthas Lullaby is one of my favorite music pieces in COD zombies so it's always nice to hear it  return :)

So, it would appear to be another variant of Samantha's Lullaby/Rest. I've made some analysis of each in another thread. This is definitely the 3rd of a trilogy featuring this melody. Lullaby appearing in the Moon loading screen, Rest in the Origins cutscene. It's very interesting that this one would appear so soon given the last two were featured in the penultimate map of the previous two games. I will be adding this to my doc for my analysis of all the music from WaW-present of which I will make a post soon. For now, all theories as to this songs significance is gladly encouraged! Very happy this one was solved!

Isn't Samanthas Lullaby also in Nuketown zombies? This would make ZNS the fourth map to feature Samanthas lullaby

  15. So... I've been working on getting some camos and I'd really like to get the Diamond camo on Assault Rifles. The problem is the long shot medals you're required to get... I get one long shot medal in maybe 3 games which makes it really frustrating to play about 30 games just to get that final challenge done to get the gold for each of the AR.

So do you have any tips how to actually get long shots more frequently, maybe which map is the easiest to do long shots etc...

Is it wrong that I prefer maps like Der Eisendrache?

Back in the BO1 days, the maps I played the most frequently were Moon, Shangri-la, and COTD. (didn't own Ascension) Loved em because I went in with the goal of doing the easter egg, or killing george.

That's part of the reason I want another boss like George back that takes several rounds to kill.

I dislike tediousness, but I feel DE is well balanced, and no one's really screaming in your ear to do something. Well there's groph, but he's not really there to beg you to do the easter egg.

Honestly BO3 has been a VERY solid game so far and I really can't say that any of the maps are not in my top 10. (Well save ZNS, but I haven't really gotten a chance to play it yet so I reserve judgement)

It's not wrong to like these more complicated maps over the simple ones we had in the old games. After all it's just everyones own personal preference and opinion which they like more :)

I actually played Der Eisendrache today and I was going to upgrade the bow, but the wolf glitched out so I couldn't finish it :P so i just decided to go for upgraded HVK and ICR and see how it goes and I got to round 29 with my brother but then I kinda lost the mood and we just quit the game. But the point here is that you don't actually need the bow to get to higher rounds on DE although the bows make it a lot easier.

I must agree with you that BO3 so far has been much better and solid than BO1 or BO2 was... ZNS is the only one I dislike cause I'm getting a GC_Spawn_Error around round 25 so it kinda ruins it for me... And Der Eisendrache is actually maybe turning into my favorite map of all time :D

Ahhhh got it! I haven't played it myself yet. I though you had to get new water each time too.
They're the new harvest pods or tram fuses. Sorta.

I haven't really figured out what to do with them or why I'd spend time gardening...
The zombie eating plant seemed glitched, it never at the zombie in the video I watched?!

    Oh well, time will tell....

Well I have played ZNS a couple of times and not yet bothered to use the plants more than just a few trys of how they work... It would be better if you only had to water it once and then wait 3 rounds for it to grow. Anyways I think I'm not gonna play ZNS for a while cause out of maybe 6 games I've played everytime I have made it past round 20 there's an "SpawnErrorGC: fake entitities" or something like that (can't remeber what excactly it was) and it's kinda annoying since the map takes a lot of time to get set up :/

  18. I also miss the simplicity cause... back in BO1 we could just pick up a map and just play. Now when we start the game on BO3 it feels like there's so much you have to do before you can get to just playing trough the rounds. It's kinda cool to have these features, but it gets really tedious if you fail just when you get everything set up and you're ready to go for the high rounds... At least we have The Giant in BO3 which is nice and simple and who knows maybe we get extra survival zombie maps in some of the DLC, but idk. In BO2 already things started to go towards buildables and such, but it never felt like you'd had to do that stuff. The biggest thing I miss is how awesome the Random box once was... Now it literally doesn't have any meaning in the maps :/

Yes I know, but it's just one plant and you can water it using only one bucket of water so you don't have to go back and forth to do it. I was referring more to just using the plants normally (not for the upgrade). They are helpful (at least the one you get from green water) but you can actually survive pretty well without using them.

  20. I'll share my opinions about the features in this map and just overall how it plays :)

Let's start with how the map looks. It's a bit too dark but it makes it creepier and I like creepy maps. Though some places just feel too dark to see where you're going. I like how the map gives a bit Shi No Numa feels :)

The power system is a bit annoying I think. You have to put water in the generators to power up half the map for a limited time. To get the power going for the rest of the game you have to have the generators at the same time to open the bunker and turn on the power there... If it was just a simple switch there it'd be fine, but you have to do more stuff that takes time and effort :P

The spiders are quite easy though very innovative so that's a good thing. Also the spider boss is kinda cool and not too hard :) The trasher zombies are a bit annoying and the spores. Because it makes you unable to do anything if you breathe the spores. Though it's preventable with the gas mask. Trashers aren't that hard which makes it a bit meh for me :P

Random perk locations is nice cause it mixes up things a bit. Doesn't make the map harder but makes it feel a bit more fresh everytime you play it :)

The new weapons from the box were a bit miss for me... HP-40 is good, but you can't customize the attachments so... the garand is garbage (at least non paped), and marhals are quite good but not that great compared to other shotguns.

The wonder weapon reminds me of sliquifier and is actually pretty cool and useful :) only downside is that it's buildable :P Also the skull is the best "specialist" zombie weapon so far and only one I actually use :)

Underwater segments are something I dislike a bit... it's not that bad but I hope they don't use it on future maps cause it's a bit uhgh..

Then there's the plants... Kinda cool, kinda too much effort going to water these every round to get a plant. Gladly they're completely optional and you don't have to use them if you don't want so I'm fine with that :)

  21. My problem with this map is that everything you do needs so much effort it get's a bit meh... I mean if you want to play a high round game  but fail on... let's say round 20. You really don't feel like starting up a new game right after... The wonder weapon is actually pretty nice though it reminds quite a lot of sliquifier. And the Skull is the best specialist thingy in zombies so far and actually the only one I bother getting :D.
