  1. That's believable. It is a step back.

I constantly get the connecting to xbox live/fetching profile glitch now, after that being gone for months, so your theory has merit.

Another thing that came back is 'team screw', where one team gets slaughtered, and it seems like your whole teams connection is off; emptying a magazine into an enemy, watching killcams where you didn't fire, team loses 75-20 or something absurd. Or the other way around: the enemies never seen to see you, and your team wins 75-20. Definitely some weird connection issues in this game.

That's very interesting about the team Screw. I've really noticed it recently where my friend and I either do really really well or really really badly. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium at the moment.

Back to the spawns again though, I had a game earlier where the spawns kept flipping, like every 15 secs, and then just stopped altogether! We kept getting spawned next to a room on stormfront where the enemy team was camping, so we kept running out and dying. Was a bit annoying.

On the note of other maps though, in the last two days ive had a lot of stormfront, whiteout and stonehenge maps in circulation.

    Still no Seige though. :-(

  2. I always seem to get the Ray Gun (Yay for Bank sucking any second thoughts out of rolling the box a lot) and it seems I rarely get the RPG if we're talking about across all maps in BO2.

For me it'd be including BO1 and WaW!

One night I hit the box and I got the RPG 8 times in a row!!! I ended up taking it after that because the game clearly wanted me to have it!

  3. I was really struggling to work out the gun that I pull out the least. Then I realised it's the same as yours smith, the wave gun. I've actually only had it once!

I seem to pull the rpg out the most, and I don't even use it.

  4. I just bought Call of the Dead after fully mastering Kino and FIVE, but my fears were that idiots would keep shooting George Ramero, and I thought "No no no, people wouldn't be that retarded. After all, why shoot something you can't kill (basically) right?" Well I was dead wrong and 90% of the people I play with are stupid kids (I assume) just shooting George, running to the damn box, not saving points, and leaving me all by myself (I go to Jugs, fuck me right?!!!"

I really love zombies and because I suck at Multplayer, I just play that, but all this can be said about the rest of the maps too!

RUN RUN RUN to the box!!! I'll just be here *shoots m14 pathetically while hordes are coming*.....

    Moral of the story:

    Don't play with randoms!

  5. I could have sworn I just played an Origins with 2 RGM2s. I'll have to keep my eyes open for this in the future. I never knew there was even a question there.

@DeathBringerZen I think you and a few other players had confirmed this on the Activision forums had you not?

I wouldn't be able to give proof from codz, but I'm nearly certain several threads were made about it on the Activision forums.

Unfortunately, at the time Buried came out I had no idea how awesome codz was!

Edit: so I just went searching on the Activision forums, and opinions are kinda mixed up. Back in July lots of people said that several people got the RGM2 ingame, but most of them were talking about Buried.

In August/September opinion had changed to that only one person could get it outside of Buried.

@MegaAfroMan you don't feel like going back on that game in theatre mode do you?

  6. Also, is anyone else experiencing these issues since the July patch?

Remember when the game was new? You would get stuck on pointless stuff on the ground (like Origins zombies) where you would just run in place because there was a piece of plywood or a fallen door on the ground. That is back for me since the last patch.

Siege: plywood on the floor, in the mine, by the sniper loft.

Strikezone: fallen door as you leave 'big hitters' heading towards the statue area. Just stop dead on it like it's a wall.

Lots of others that i can't recall at the moment. In Tremor, door on the ground by A flag.

Shield: 3 times yesterday, i hit players with the shield (core) 3+ times without a kill.

Whiteout: vks, 50 foot shot. I'm leaning, firing past the boat/pier at a wookie lying on the snow past the pier. 7 careful shots, not one registered. I finally assumed that it was a teammate, stepped out and he killed me. I have been seeing a huge increase in shots simply not registering, all guns, all game modes.

For the record, i have pulled in quite a few 20nk-0d games with that set up, so i know that i am hitting them and it is glitched, I'm not some zero skill kid whining because i missed.

USR, close range, 4 hitmarkers on the same guy, no kill. He is near the edge of the map, 20 feet away. No other reason for hitmarkers. No grenades, no killstreaks, no stuff behind him (ammo crate, killstreaks, tacticals placed). Just glitched.

It's like the game has constant packet loss, but it only just started the past few weeks.

The 'can't step over plywood on the ground' glitch was constant when i first got the game, but now i haven't seen that in months, until this update.

Also a large increase in players not appearing on screen: like i walk out of a room, look left down an empty hall. I die. The killcam shows a guy in that hall, then it looks like i walk out and don't look left. Like the game loses the information that i looked left, so doesn't bother loading the enemies soldier in my view because it didn't think that i looked left. Well, that's my best guess at what is wrong in that scenario.

Please undo this garbage IW. This is really shameful.

Wow. I thought that was me just being a tool at the game! Did not realise that was an issue when the game came out.

I have a bit of a farfetched theory.

I play on very slow internet (2mb), and sometimes it can take a while to connect to the multiplayer servers.

A few patches ago, it got really really difficult to connect. Literally it would be "connecting to servers" for 5 Mins or so. Watching one of driftors videos he commented that they had changed some of the coding on the matchmaking system/server coding (I'm afraid it was a while ago, I couldn't tell you which video it was).

Anyway, last patch my connection problems disappeared. It now connects in about 30 seconds. BUT, it often states that no lobbies are available, so I have to back out a few times and then it seems to connect.

    (finally at the theory)

My theory is that somebody has messed up some of the coding, and they've had to revert back to some of the original coding, hence why we're seeing spawning problems and bizzare lumps holding you back. Problems that were there on release.

  7. Really? I'm sure there are other maps with the ability for multiple people to get it…. Could have sworn it's possible...

Nope. Definitely confirmed that only one player can get it.

I think the relaxing end had a video of two RGM2s. But I think he obtained them from going down, and someone hitting the box while they were down, so it was as legit as have two wunderwaffes in der reise.

  8. I wish Treyarch would give Porter some background. I'd also like to see some Harvey Yena weapons and the 87 weapons.

About the Mark II's origins location, we really have nothing to work on. It's sorta like Mule Kick. We first saw it on Moon. Than it was patched in to all maps. Canonically, Mule Kick wouldn't have been at Nacht der Untoten, and using that and the fact it wasn't there originally, I would say it wasn't there canonically from Verruckt to Shangri-La, just there for gameplay purposes.

Maybe the Mark II appearing in the other maps is just for a gameplay feature? I honestly do think Buried is it's focus map. But there is nothing to really hint about it's origins, other than being H. Porter's creation.

The most realistic answer is that it was 115 pulling it through time and space (which I guess could apply to it appearing in the other maps), although it seems like a cop out honestly.

Ever noticed how its easier to get on Buried, I can guarantee I get it on that map more than any. Also it was hyped to be in Buried so I dont know how much more evidence people want, its better than it being built in the Aether which has never happened before. Something else about the ease of getting it on Buried, is also that every player can carry It.

No other map has that feature, definitely worth a thought.

  9. http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Vbush Just scroll down a bit and you will reach a summary of the Ray Gun Section.

Ok. I'm now even more undecided.

What the terminal states is EXACTLY what you said, a second generation gun is being developed by H Porter.

But, if you scroll down to the wonderwaffe Dg2, it also states that the weapon has a newer generation that is under development. The DG3.

Which would ultimately suggest that the model that H Porter has worked on, was the original raygun, pack a punched.

But it says DG3-JI not DG-JZ so I ignored it as it may start to get us onto a discussion of is there going to be some new form of Wunderwaffe. Does the upgraded version decrease splash damage? Also why would someone create a pack a punch variant when we have a machine for it? Very true. But COD wiki is infamous for misinformation and typos, so I took it as that.

BUT, you are quite right with the peripheral damage bit. I can't say I've ever noticed that the PaP'd raygun has a smaller splash radius, but I do find I down myself a lot more when it's unpackapunched.

Either way, there is absolutely no splash damage with the RGM2, so yeah... Our arguments are now sadly over. :-(

  11. BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!

    EXACTLY.

The one recurring point is we really don't know.

Nightmare, you're ideas are excellent. Logically, you're bang on. The only reason you haven't won this discussion is because we don't have any proof.

Your argument would be totally void if it was called Jeff's Epic Raygun.

Does anyone remember how disappointed people were when it was revealed it was called Porters Mark two raygun? Not some fancy name? (actually, I think it was probably just a syndicate video that I'm referring to there).

We know Porter created the first actual working weapon known as the Ray Gun so why wouldnt Porter make the MKII, anyways as I say the name is in the Pap version and in the Vbush Terminals or somewhere in the terminal it mentions a Second version being developed by H.Porter. Maybe if you really dont believe my theory wait till next game if it gets more story we will know the truth, if not we can work on a different theory that fits. Somewhere at some point I've missed that you've said there's mention of Porter creating a second gun. This terminal, is there anywhere I could find a link to it? (youtube etc)

  13. You know mate, my friend and I were talking about this last night. We haven't played seige, Stonehaven or chasm for probably a month or two now.

I think you have the same view on the disc maps (that they're a lot better than dlc). For us, we couldn't get enough of reinforced. Now nearly every fucking game is the dome remake. It's actually ridiculous. I've gone from totally adoring Ghosts to loathing it.

I have to give it to the developers in one respect, they have listened to a lot, but Ghosts was perfect with the reinforced patch, now as far as I'm concerned, it's gone to absolute hell.

Sorry for cussing and ranting, it's just Ghosts has me so angry at the moment.

  14. Yep. And no one is denying that, it's what the box does.

It's just the mark 2's creator that we're all debating about.

On the note of space and time, maybe it will get explained in the next game. Perhaps it was made by someone totally different.

Also nightmare, I'm not arguing with you for the sake of it. I just genuinely think the Porters Mark 2 raygun is named so from sheer laziness, and nothing else.

  15. @Stop mocking me0 maybe you should change the name of the thread to "Where did the RGM2 come from?!?"

Just to throw another quick thought into the discussion, if you want to get really fussy on what map had the RGM2 first, the answer was every map except Buried! if everyone remembers, when the patch was released, the RGM2 made a quick appearance before being hotfixed out.

  16. I remember the day the Origins teaser trailer was released. (you know the one where it went through all the maps chronologically)

My expectations were so high. I genuinely thought that we were going to get a full zombie map pack, or at least multiple zombie maps along with some multiplayer maps.

The day they released the Apocalypse trailer was a bad day for me. I spent the rest of the month moping around, disappointed as hell.

  17. Just to throw another thought into it altogether, maybe it's early because we're getting advanced warfare slightly earlier? Doesn't it come out on the 4th Nov? Black Ops 2 came out on the 13 (I think), so that's 9 days earlier?

  18. just to hop on your idea there sport, what if it also gave you a zombie counter too!

Sent from my D2303 using Tapatalk

yeah, that's a good idea, then you get to see how many zombies you've killed WITHOUT having to press select As in how many zombies are left on a round man?

Why the hell would you want a perk to save having to click select?!?

  19. even so, imagine this. A zombie is 10 feet in front of you, and you shoot an rpg right behind it. It lurched forward 8 feet and lands face down. It is up and running again within a few short seconds. Now imagine if you hadn't shot. How long would it take for the zombie to reach / hit you if you are stationary 10 feet away? maybe like 2 seconds? It would still partially delay them depending on exactly how they fall / go flying. You could still be cornered by sprawled zombies though if you use an RPG on a large group. Perhaps this could be a balancing factor, making launchers less universal and more "high skill high reward."

You know, for a long time I've wondered what actually could be different with zombies (apart from the basics).

Having this as part of the engine would totally change strategies. Imagine (we have used that word so much in this thread!!!!) Town or Nuketown. Very small maps, with people training close to one another. I shoot my mustang sallys at my train, but it's round 30, so they don't die immediately. Instead they are all flung towards my teammate who is now having to fight off 2 trains!

Or, a totally different idea, imagine the feature on Die Rise. Training in the Buddha room, it's easy, but someone else has the Sliquifyer. Round 45+ and it's taking several shots to the head to kill even one zombie. Time for a new idea- form a train and BLAST THEM OFF OF THE MAP!

Now zombies can feel vertically challenged!

  20. Alpha Dawg reporting in.

Either you guys are very committed, or that you have no lives.

Shit, he's on to us! Alpha Dawg for me too! Nothing strokes my ego more than clutching a few rounds and receiving a few messages saying "Bro u r so gud at dis game"
