  1. Ok so, in BO2 one of the most gripping things about it's changes to zombies is the change of the dying crawler. In waw or bo1 the crawler could be kept alive indefinantly, even on large maps like moon. I'll admit, it would have been very painful to wait for a crawler to cross the map in tranzit, but as for buried, MOTD, and origins… Why not keep the crawler alive? In die-rise it would be caught on an elevator or stuck on a random floor so it also makes sense, but these 3 maps are different.

SO do we want to see the return of the "shoot to kill" crawler, or do we want to have to keep a "full zombie" alive?

    BRING BACK THE EVER CRAWLER.

Man I miss crawlers. They made things so much easier and quicker when you didn't have to babysit them.

And on Der Riese if a crawler dies out it just comes back as a full zombie, so they could easily have done that with black ops 2 (for the likes of Tranzit or Die Rise if it got stuck somewhere).

  2. Even that was random. The better solution was the gondola from MOTD.

The origins portals would work if they didn't take so GD long to open… Corse that would still mean that the portals would move 1-way so anyone near the fire tunnel could get to the church or any other area quick enough, but no one else would be able to get back to him.

Buried was a condensed map, but still if someone went down in the maze, they're basically dead..

It's a sad price to pay for bigger maps… How about this:

Warp gates: Buildable: Once placed the gate can summon a player from wherever they are via pushing the hand-held detonator. This can only be activated once-per round and by doing so costs 2000 points.

This would solve the down-across map issue but still cost the player more then his fair share. Plus it'd be epic.

Yep, the warping elements should comeback for sure!

I'd love to see some selfless perks that help your team. Like that Warp Aid, which teleports you to a fallen teammate.

  3. @lead_psychopath

That's not true for everyone. I or one am the type of player that will immediately drop everything I am doing the second someone goes down. Even if the odds of me reviving the player are nearly impossible I'll haul ass over there....even if it gets us killed sometimes... XD

Same here, I've often ended the games for trying to be a hero.

But the maps shouldn't be so big you can't actually reach someone.

If I'm in the cafeteria in MOTD, and someone goes down on the docks, I'll always go and try to get them, but as of yet I've never made it before they fade out. Same with the church and generator 2/3 in Origins. Die Rise was really difficult, as was Tranzit. The only easy map to revive is Buried, because everyone's really close together!

  4. For the next game, I hope Treyarch spends more time developing not the in game details, but how to further addict us into the world of zombies. Not with easier map, not with better wonder weapons, not with more scenic graphics, but with better player interactions within the game.

Truer words never spoken Jay. People aren't hooked on BO2 zombies, but BO1 I felt that people were.

One thing that always makes me come back to zombies is the sense of teamwork. The maps were so huge in Black Ops 2 that people just didn't bother trying to revive you! For me that was just something small that added to my preference of BO1.

  5. It's one of those series you only get the chance of discovering during the time a new entry is released.

However if it wasn't well know all the sequels probably wouldn't have made it to the West.

The hype thing is a touch out of control at the moment imo.

    Much like pre-ordering.

Each new game that is expected to do well seems to be so over-hyped it just loses its umph. Call of Duty wasn't the franchise it is in one game, it changed and changed till Modern Warfare came along, then it just exploded.

All these Halo and Cod killer games that are praised to be the best thing since sliced bread. Then when played, it's a total let down. Youtube doesn't help, a big youtuber bigging up a game makes people want to go buy it, then it's a total let down.

For me, Hype is good, but over-hype isn't.

I learnt my lesson from GTA V. I was psycho-hyped for it, spent two days trying to find it cos I hadn't pre-ordered it, only to play it, and just get bored with it really quickly.

Since then I haven't let myself get hyped for anything, and I haven't been disappointed since!

  6. Is moon really that poorly thought of among the entire community? I only heard positive things about it in my time playing with randoms or at least on this forum when the map initially came out.

and I thought NML was basically still the mecca for the best zombie players...

I quite like moon, but it is very frustrating when things go wrong.

A friend and I spent all night on it, we'd got to round 20 and still weren't fully set up, having gone down a few times.

For me personally, the only things that spoil it for me, are the teleporting gas zombies, and that it's quite a large map, so if you go down, chances are you'll die out.

  7. Drops are a tricky thing, but no, I do not think you will receive more max amos for less fire sales.

It's hard to tell how drops work in BO2 because nearly every map has what is known as a "rouge drop", a drop gotten from not-traditional zombie-death method:

    Tranzit: EMPs (turn off drops)

    Nuketown: Bunker.

Die rise: Perk bottles and nova jumpers

    MOTD: Brutus

    MOTD Greif: Wolf and brutus

Buried: Ghosts, big guy changing drops

Origins: Panzers, ice carts, digs, lightning-staff-parts-tank, boxes, elemental fists.

Those drop-alterations can effect drops constantly.

But no, I do not think your max amo account will go down if you use the box.

I think there's a thread that Danishka made that that line of thought. His thread is a mega Origins Solo guide.

I would disagree with Mocking, in that you do have a 1/5 chance that you will get a max ammo instead of a 1/6.

But at the end of the day drops are random. You might get 4 nukes, or 4 zombie bloods. As unlikely as it seems though.

  8. I'm one of those people who love MW3, but just the online play.

It was my first online multiplayer COD, so I guess that's why it's my fave, just nostalgia.

One thing that happens with call of duty is that every single year it comes out, haters gonna hate. The last COD is always better than the next one. Advanced Warfare will be crap when it comes out, Ghosts was better, but then when cod 2015 comes out, it'll be the shizz.

  9. Hi guys.

So one of my main pleasures in life is headphones. I kinda collect them, but get bored and end up buying them for a different model/type/whatever.

The same habit has followed me with headsets. I've tried two now, firstly the Sony Pulses and secondly the Turtle Beach Px4s.

I love strong bass, so of the two I still think the pulses win, but there is a lot of neat features with the px4s ( for example you can answer a phonecall, ring a number).

My issue with the Pulses was that they're as frail as hell. I treated them like a small child but the plastic on the headband still cracked.

I'd love some input from the members of codz, what headset do you use, why do you like it?

  10. As of 24 JUL 2014 at 1000

    PS3: Players online

    - Kino Der Toten = 5, 675

    - Five = 1,139

    - Dead Ops Arcade = 186

    - Ascension = 546

    - Call Of The Dead = 290

    - Shangri-La = 105

    - MOON = 295

    - Nacht Der Untoten = 179

    - Verruckt = 143

    - Shi No Numa = 102

    - Der Riese = 732

These numbers were taken from Black Ops on the PS3

I'll take it too at around 8pm gmt. (10 am is a bit of a weird time, could be busy, could be quiet.)
  11. Wow, that has really surprised me! Usually there's only a few hundred on ascension, cotd, shangri la, nacht verruckt and shi no numa. But Der Reise will always have around 1000 players, Moon will usually have about 2000 and then kino often has around 10k players.

Maybe when the game first came out, but there has not been anymore than around 300 people on Moon since 2012, and I have not seen 10k people on Kino since the game launched. Never anymore than a few thousand on it at the most on Xbox.

The most you will see on the WaW maps on BO1 is double figures with the exception of Der Riese which normally has around 400-500 people on it. Kino has around 2000 max and then from Ascension to Moon it varies between a 100-300 max. I should have mentioned I'm on ps3.

  12. AGREED my friend... AGREED! You should hop on some BLOPS 1 zombies man!! All the fun is still there.... plenty of people online too. You now have all these nerds hiding like twats in GLITCHES treyarch has refused to fix on certain maps but it's still a superior zombies experience than anything BO2 can offer!!

Not sure what system you play on, but on Xbox there is barely anyone still playing. Roughly around 150-200 people per map with the exception of Kino which has around 1500-2000.

Regarding the "nerds glitching", that is one of the most off putting things about playing public nowadays on BO1 (and BO2). Why would you want to play with a bunch of glitching idiots!? Wow, that has really surprised me! Usually there's only a few hundred on ascension, cotd, shangri la, nacht verruckt and shi no numa. But Der Reise will always have around 1000 players, Moon will usually have about 2000 and then kino often has around 10k players.

Always when you sign into zombies though there's around 35k players. Just so many of them are private matches.

  13. Honestly u won't get spawn killed if ur really good. I'm the one doing the spawn killing when it comes to bo2 and mw3. In the end if you keno the spawns of the maps then you'll expect your enemy to be about to turn the corner and it all comes down to whether or not you win the gun fight. You're right though the 1 hour I played of ghosts shitty mp there were some pretty bad spawns. I think I'm like, level 15 on that game I hate it!

    I get what you're saying 100%

But Ghosts really does have a massive problem with spawning.

For example earlier today I was having a game of dom. Our team only had flag A, other team had B and C. The other team started to spawn trap us. So what happened? We start spawning on C.

    Really?!

On free for all, I have spawned in multiple times on top of enemies, sometimes I kill them, sometimes they kill me.

  14. If I owned a business, I would want to have applicants include their gamertag on the job application if they have one. Sorry "Bangedyourmom69" I think we're gonna go in a different direction. "420bLaZiNaLLdAy", would you be willing to submit to random drug testing?

I think this would be very useful in Human Resources

    Yes. That is totally brilliant.

Where would my usernames end up on your list?

Infact, that's actually one of the reasons I lowered the case on this forum. On psn it doesn't matter about case, people will still find me if they add me and people hopefully weren't like "Oh god, who's this tool who shouts a lot".

  15. Yeah, I agree that buried is easier than Ascension. I know Ascension is easy also, but I find the zombies are more aggressive in BO1 and the side stepping zombies can be a nuisance at times.

Still, once setup, Origins is potentially the easiest map out of them all. Behind the tank station with the Ice Staff is about as easy as it gets.

I appreciate that people find that an easy strategy on Origins, but for me it's down central. I cannot run that spot to save my life.

  16. I actually think Origins goes well if you don't want to get further in the EE than completing the Ultimate Staves.

If you want the fists, you need at least one assistant or extreme skill, and probably the fire staff and a willingness to use that bug to skip the staves in robots step.

If you're looking to do the whole EE or pass round 50 in your randoms matches, then sure Origins is hell. But I think people who look for matches with randoms and have those expectations are ridiculous.

You know, I hissy quit so many times when origins first came out because of lack of Co operation with the fists.

    I'm at stamin-up

"I'm bringing a train to the church, please don't destroy it."

*player runs from Jug to church, kills whole train*

    Rage quit.
