    Vital:

    - DLC Preloading: 2-3 days before the DLC comes out, please let us download it but have it unable to be used until DLC drop. You can do it with games, why not DLCs? This would allow people who don't have 10000000000mbps download speeds to actually play the DLC when it drops, like they should be able to. You pay to get it, how come you should have to wait 10 hours when others wait 5 minutes? Don't try and blame it on them being too cheap to afford better internet. Some places just don't get amazing internet, and nothing can change that. The max download speed on the type of connection offered out here is 24mbps down/ 1mbps up, and I rarely get above 10 down and 0.5 up. Not to mention the fact that next-gen DLCs are so large!

    - Bring back the N4: Our story wasn't over. Nothing suggests that they die in Buried, and they were very interesting to many. I actually like these guys a lot. They aren't done.

Nintendo Just Announced a New 3DS. It Has Another Analog Stick.

It's called the New Nintendo 3DS. It's faster with bigger screens and better battery life. It also has a new analog pad called the "C-stick." Wow! This sounds great. The New Nintendo 3DS comes in White and Black. There is also a New Nintendo 3DS XL that comes in Metallic Blue and Metallic Black. Note that in Japan, the 3DS XL is called the "3DS LL."

The New 3DS also has colorful, revamped face buttons. Look familiar?

    ygjcaqt60lcss7kq7plf.png

That's no accident. Nintendo designed the buttons with the Super Famicom controller in mind. And here are the New 3DS XL buttons, which should also look familiar:

    jde21h7aoj0eyfcaevba.png

While the new analog stick is called, well, the C-stick, Nintendo exec Satoru Iwata says it is closer to a button. It was designed with the GameCube's C-stick in mind. According to Iwata, the new C-stick is easy to use. The new C-stick will be used in Dragon Quest X: OnlineFinal Fantasy Explorers, and Monster Hunter 4G to control the in-game camera function, and in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS to unleash Smash Attacks.

The game card slot, however, has been moved to the front left side. You can also see the power button and where the touch pen is housed.

    sd966implyxgcdmlmhmr.png

This, of course, is the back of the New 3DS.

The New Nintendo 3DS has a new function, which is a cool and welcome change—the screen can automatically adjust brightness depending on the lighting. Using this function isn't only easy, but it means better battery life. The New Nintendo 3DS also has an improved 3D function. With the original 3DS, if you viewed the 3D effect from the side and didn't stay in the "sweet spot," the 3DS became all blurred. However, the New 3DS has improved 3D, enabling players to continue to see the 3D effect even if viewed from an angle. Nintendo figured out how to stabilize the 3D. How? Well...

    qsyqdullkojp0bvvmaoi.png

The New 3DS uses the portable's camera and gyro sensors to track the player's face. And the New 3DS can then make adjustments, ensuring the 3D effect isn't blurred.

The New Nintendo 3DS is also equipped with a NFC reader/writer in its bottom screen, which means players can put Amiibo toys directly on the portable to have the New 3DS read them.

For those who need extra storage, the New 3DS will use a Micro SD card, which is located under the portable's covering.

    tx61ajbfyc05mwjp7pml.png

The New 3DS also has a more powerful CPU. This means that better-looking games can be developed for the New 3DS, but also that there will be New 3DS-exclusive titles, such as the already-announced Xenoblade Chronicles.

The New Nintendo 3DS is priced at 16,000 yen ($154) and the New Nintendo 3DS XL is priced at 18,800 yen ($181). Both will be out October 11 in Japan. Nintendo didn't say anything about plans to bring the console to the U.S. other than that it will not happen in 2014.

    Well.

I think this is absolutely awesome, apart from one fact - we won't be receiving them outside of Japan until some point next year.

The new 3D "stabilisation" will make 3D play more enticing, instead of making it an annoyance like it currently is. I'm sure it will still have some problems. I mean, what doesn't? However, it definitely will make 3D a viable option when playing with friends in the same room.

The upgradeable memory sounds awesome. Only wishing I'd picked up those $10 64gb Micro SD cards back when they were on sale...

I'm not sure how I feel about having the power button on the outside. I only hope they make it so it can't be turned on with the lid closed, otherwise we'll all need protective casing to prevent accidental turn ons while stored in a bag or something.

As always, larger screens. Sounds pretty cool, even though the top screen is only 0.25 inches larger than the old models.

The price is absurdly low, as even here in Australia you can't get a 3DS XL for under $200. I doubt, even though it directly converts to $193 AUD, it will be priced anywhere below $250.

  3. Oh and add a new usergroup please.

@Slade and @ know what I am talking about. :3

On a more serious note (notice that I am saying "more" I am actually serious about the dutch usergroup. :P) can we make the graveyard public again?

It was always nice to check on it from time to time, but maybe make it so that we can't reply to dead topics?

Yes please! The Graveyard was pretty damn fun to crawl through, just seeing all the removed topics. Maybe have a group of people set up to divide it into sections, like a "spam" section so that we don't have to sift through these looking through it.

  4. I know naitrax brought up the point about people making short posts and other that post 3 seperate parts for something that could be made into one post. Perhaps a time limit between posts? Like every 24 hours you can make a new post. However you can comment as much as you like.

I think this would encourage members to make the full post because they would have to considerr wait 3 days to complete your post or have the complete post up and running immediately.

Please no. I, and many others, have a very limited time period they can be on CoDz, and I want to post multiple threads, I need to be able to. To reduce spam, you should employ this, but only on the "new member" user group. That way, we can deal with spambots before they even make a second thread.

But please, don't punish the people who stay.

  5. The second that a zombies game requires you to rank to gain anything outside of cosmetic gains, such as weapon skins or what not, is the day that zombies die for good. To me at least.

    This.

One of the major appeals to Zombies is the fact that no matter your playing level, when you play or when you don't, you can get the exact same equipment as anybody else, given time in a single match. A customisable box/attachments, while some may think it would be 'cool', would destroy Zombies the way we know it. Half the point of the box is it's unpredictability, a true random weapon. Even if you think your system for it is balanced, it could NEVER be. Changing weapons up removes the equality in the game.

  6. I really think it would be a terrible idea to have it moved. It is absolutely perfect where it is, and if I were to find a topic I had no interest in reading I can simply click there again, without having to navigate into a drop down menu and then click it again.

  7. When can we expect a reveal of Sledgehammers 3rd Mode? When was it when Zombies and Extinction were revealed?

Black Ops 2's Zombie Reveal Trailer was released Sep. 26th, after about 2 weeks of teasers.

Extinction was first "leaked" by the achievement list, and then a trailer on Oct. 28th.

So yeah, it'll be about halfway from now to release when we can expect a reveal.

  8. Well, Dino is right. You now earn Teeth at an incredibly increased rate. You can earn around 12-15 Teeth per escape if you are running a relic and get a Gold or higher escape time. The Double Class upgrade is now much more achievable.

The Upgraded Ability durations have been shortened, while the cooldown has been lengthened. I assume that this is to make that faster cooldown seem more enticing.

So yeah. Now these high requirements seem obtainable.

  9. I have just found the weirdest thing that ever happened to me. I was playing TranZit, and I got to Farm for the second time. As soon as I got off the bus, I threw a monkey bomb over to the right hand side as you get off the bus. After 2 seconds, there was a loud noise, then Richtofen laughed like he does when the Mystery Box is about to move, but he didn't say "bye bye". What the heck happened?

This is what happens if you throw a tactical grenade such as a Monkey Bomb or Gersch Device outside of the map.

  10.

    Great find!

I personally believe it is quite plausible, for a number of reasons:

    1) The tally marks: They mean something. While it may not be the same Zombies story, or it may not be Zombies at all, it is definitely a representation of AW's co-op mode.
    2) COTD Poster
    3) Zielinski's Recent Ramblings
    4) Activision said that this will be "the most advanced Cod yet". While they say something to that degree every year, it makes you think: Why would they leave out the most popular side-mode when they are pulling at straws after Ghost's failure?

I hope it is on the game, but only with Treyarch's assistance, or full development. I'd still buy it without it, but my expectations would be much lower.

Also, I hope I get a ONE for Christmas anyways, so this would be perfect timing

-Tally marks mean literally anything count-able. Human kills, paid assassin successes, how many times a gun was stolen from person to person. It's not just instantly zombies.

-COTD poster? Honestly COTD was a big and amazing map in the zombies franchise, activation would be smart to keep all this zombie stuff around, plus remember the amount of zombie related items just collected by activation and trayarch seen in their many tweets just before maps are released.

    - Z. is a troll, besides nothing he's said hints towards anything zombie-like.

-Most advanced COD yet? In what way does that imply it's the best, or most complete COD yet? In what way does that even hint towards a continuation of zombies? Also, Ghosts was not a failure, BO2 may have done better but Ghosts was not a failure. (MW3 was a failure)

-Point being you guys are DELUSIONAL looking for links and proof and easter eggs that aren't there! NO solid evidence at all is given. If it makes you feel better you should get Arkham Knight when it launches to put that XBONE to work! DRIVE THE BAT-MOBILE!

Really Mocking? You're one to talk about being delusional, what with believing Extinction and Zombies to be deeply linked and, I quote "There's a 50/50 chance extinction is meant to be a multiverse reality of the zombie storyline as well" with little to no evidence, about the same amount that we are going off here. You went off a single character's name and ability.

    1. Tally marks do mean anything countable, it just so happens that Zombies uses them as a round system, and I agree it means nothing. Just someone marking their kills on their weapon.

    2. Remember, each studio has it's OWN place, not just some giant Activision game factory (surprise surprise) and to get one of these posters they would have had to ASK. I mean come on, Treyarch would have one because it's their game, but Sledgehammer have more than just one and it's not even their game.

    3. Zielinski is always rambling, but he is a Zombies developer, and it would be silly to assume his work twitter wouldn't pertain to his job.

    4. At the MP reveal, they stated something along the lines of "it was completely created with the players in mind, and does everything just how our fans would like it." What is the second most reputable thing about the franchise other than the multiplayer? The zombies.

  11. I'm just going to provide some little photos of the Call of the Dead poster in the AW BTS trailers, because I've had people say that it could be anything.

    UMMFvZ6.png

    Compare it to this:

    Call_of_the_Dead_poster_BO.jpg

Now, regarding whether Sledgehammer will put Zombies in their game, I don't really know. They have been shown to have a pretty good relationship with Treyarch over the years, and if they did put it in, they'd get input from them, definitely. Remember, with Origins basically ending the story as we know it, there is much opportunity for them to basically restart the story from scratch.

Also, if you think Activision have enough "respect" to not let Sledgehammer take on Zombies, at least once, would be madness. Treyarch didn't develop the Call of Duty Online thing, although it used the Mystery Box, Perks and the exact maps that were in WaW, just updated in their mode. Don't underestimate their ability to see where money can be made, and they'll be looking to soften the fall Destiny might take with it's 500 million dollar budget. What about Mob of the Dead and Origins?! Apparently, a non-Zombies team created those maps, and they were the most popular maps of BO2!

Another thing here about the supposed idea that everyone was happy with the 3-year cycle's announcement is that barely anyone was. It was only in time that we thought that an extra year might mean higher quality Zombies. We were all in uproar over it at first. With no Sledgehammer, we'd all be certainly getting our Zombies fix this year and NO ONE would be complaining about how an extra year would make it a better game. For all we know, they could use this extra year to work exclusively on the campaign or multiplayer!

I'm all for Zombies in AW.

I'm also going to leave you with this wonderfully flattering image of the most handsome dev ever:

    5drdjmN.png
  12. I used to be part of the many thousands who thought that Ghosts was terrible. A failure. A useless game which deepened the pit into which Call of Duty was falling into. Extinction was just a failed attempt by IW to copy Zombies. A terrible idea for a mode with little-to-no meaning.

And then, just as the final DLC was released for Ghosts and I was getting ready to sell my copy of the game, something very cool caught my eye. GRILL's thread regarding the Teeth upgrades for Extinction. When I finished reading that, I realised just how much there is to unlock in this gamemode.

I decided to give it one last shot.

I played over 20 hours of this one mode over the weekend. I went from Prestige 1 Level 29, to where I currently am at Prestige 5 Level 17 with it's incredibly fun levelling system.

If you find yourself criticising Ghosts and Extinction without actually ever giving it a good go, go play the damn game. Try new things. Push yourself to escape over and over, and make it a challenge with the Relics system. Try to get all the achievements. Unlock cool Teeth upgrades.

Extinction has AMAZING replayability, and I take back every bad word I've ever said about it. This side-mode here, IW's apparent "answer" to Zombies isn't that.

It is a gamemode in it's own right, with a completely different feel than Treyarch's bonus mode. The second you stop criticising it against Zombies and comparing it to that is the second you begin to have fun with it.

Extinction has great, challenging gameplay. I mean, I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea so to speak, but it still deserves a chance.

The story to Extinction is incredible. to be perfectly honest, I liked it's story much better than Zombies in the way it was told. The way it just started as a small outbreak and escalated with the almost extinction of humanity (good reference there, IW) was very entertaining. The way Intel worked with all it's cutscenes and audio logs which were accessible only out of game made it feel like the backstory wasn't forced upon you and didn't really make itself apparent until after you complete the mini-story which is the actual map itself. I loved the little hints toward the next maps, and I loved the whole dramatic effects in each Prologue and Epilogue, the most memorable lines being:

"Who's tombstone? Ours." - Beginning of Mayday

"We have an Ark of our own, hanging right above their heads." End of Awakening

"They thought my powers would mean the difference between survival and extinction... They were right." - End of Exodus

I know this thread kinda went all over the place, but the main message behind it can be summed up with the following sentence:

The second you stop thinking of it as a Zombies clone and accept it as it's own thing is the second you start having fun.

All of you out there who have Ghosts but don't enjoy it, pop it in and give Extinction one last burl. I guarantee you won't regret it.

  13. I enjoyed it, but it looked like the weapons were OP as all shit. I know those guys were probably like recruit bots or some shit but still, it was almost as if the people being shot just accepted their fate when they were hit with 2 bullets out of 6 fired.

I want them to take one step forward gameplay wise, then take 100 steps backwards time wise ;)

  14. You basically have to be in a game from the time the first step is started until the last step is completed in order for the game to count it as you finishing it.

Sadly, there is no way around this, as I know a few people who have lagged out midway through an EE, and although they may have re-joined and finished it with us, and got the achievement, the actual progress toward the endgame is non-existent.

  15. @Stop mocking me0

You are completely ignoring the fact that EMP grenades actually appear in BO2's multiplayer. You know what doesn't appear in the multiplayer? A fricken portable jet engines with the power to obliterate zombies without ripping the arms off the person holding it.

EDIT: I've noticed that sounded pretty harsh. It was not meant as an insult, more of a sarcastic remark.

I used to think that 115 was the key to it being a wonder-weapon or not, but no longer. With the advent of Black Ops 2, they basically threw that out the window, if it was ever there at all. The Jet Gun was so obviously the Wonder Weapon from TranZit, that you'd have to be blind not to see the intent for it to be there as a wonder-weapon. You may argue about the "true" definition of a wonder-weapon, but unless Treyarch come right out and say that "such and such are not wonder-weapons, while such and such are" then we are just left to speculate as to what is and what isn't.

I hold a wonder-weapon as a weapon which is somewhat unique, with a purpose to be effective at killing zombies where an average gun would fail. I see it as a weapon which is generally map-exclusive (excluding the Ray Gun/Mk II. and Thundergun [And the Tacticals])

  16. AW isn't being held down by the last-gen games as much as Ghosts was.

The game is being primarily developed on the Xbox One, and it is then going to be ported to the PS3, PS4, PC and Xbox 360.

    Don't believe me?

Go watch one of the BTS trailers for AW. You can see many developer Xbox One's there, with an AW logo where you would normally launch a game (which means they are "playing" Advanced Warfare on them)

Every website/shop selling it should have it advertised as being for all consoles.

Extinction's ending was... lacklustre to say the least.

I mean, I know they basically left it open for another game, but it still should have been better and with more closure.

  17.

I've already checked them all, nothing new or even slightly changed, at least that I could find.

As I said, I am 200% sure it is the Bus on TranZit, which now fast-towards past stops if there are no players at that area.

    Uploading a video now.

I can't see why they would choose to update the game to allow the bus to move faster past stops. The map is coming up to being 2 years old and no one plays it anymore. Improving the speed/timing of the bus will not improve numbers.

I don't see it either, but Treyarch work in mysterious ways.

  18. What stops it meaning Die Rise or Buried or even MotD and Origins?

I've already checked them all, nothing new or even slightly changed, at least that I could find.

As I said, I am 200% sure it is the Bus on TranZit, which now fast-towards past stops if there are no players at that area.

  19. I think there should be a flashbang and if you open up a portal and throw the flashbang into it, It stops the Denizens from Spawning for a few minutes.

The bus should not be available until you turn on the Power. Then you have to fix the Bus in order to get it working.

Screw Tombstone and replace it with something else.

Eh, not really feeling the flash bang thing. I have my own way of Denizen removal, and it will be very much sufficient.

I kinda like the Bus after Power thing, but I still think it works best appearing at the start of the game.

Tombstone will be in this map, but so will every perk to date, so...

I like Tombstone and feel it is well suited for this map's setting, but this time it will act as a temporary spawn beacon, so if you feed the zombies, you will spawn within 20m of it.
