  1. I should have been more specific and said "indirectly according to Treyarch". We know based on in-game appearance and radio msgs that Moon starts off in Groom Lake at Hanger 18's celebration - in the mid to late 60s. Nuketown Zombies, based off in-game radios and the map placement itself is during moon as we can hear Moon's EE occuring during gameplay of the map and on CoD.com we can see that Treyarch wrote that it takes place during Moon - this also would be in the mid to late 60s.

Now, I like the theory floating around that Marlton was a teenager during Nuketown Zombies and was kept in the bunker because he is a seriously smart CIA or CDC asset. - The bus sounds are a cameo for sure but are there to emphasize that Marlton is on the map. --- ONWARD!

Green Run - name of our second crew's first map - is located in Hanford (Hanford Green Run Project ;) ) and with all the map's aesthetics and appearances of the 2nd crew's clothing/styles...they are in the 80s. I mean seriously, 'Earth Angel' is a popular 80s song and is used as the loading song of Green Run and this timing would correlate with Maxis waiting decades (20 years approx) to find someone to aid his plans.

Finally, the Great Leap Forward is a toss up on the map's timeline - especially with Richtofen pushing reset on our 2nd crew over and over until we complete the EE - though that intro more or less is just Treyarch trying to blur the lines of reality between us and the Zombies Storyline.

  2. These Maxis entries are written dialogue from the radios in WaW Zombies like in: Der Riese. It is shown in the BO2 Zombies menus because Treyarch's Team Zombies wanted everybody to have an easy way to learn the backstory behind CoD Zombies.

It is only a recap - nothing more; at least only so far...

It currently pertains to the early story of CoD Zombies and as far as I can tell has not currently been placed in the menus for you to solve some EE.

And to the above, BO2 Zombies occurs in the 80's according to Treyarch - at least Green Run does. Nuketown Zombies takes place in 60's according to Treyarch. It happens at the same time as moon. The bus noises are in Nuketown as a cameo at best. As for Die Rise's time - could still be 80's but with Richtofen's aether powers, it's debatable...

    Cheers - ;)

  3. Nice vid. - ever think about taking a look at the coop Die Rise loading screen? I believe Samuel's mysteries will be completely revealed if we figure out what each map's location and story relevance has in relation to the characters and Maxis/Richtofen. On that note - Next map's coop loading screen comic page seems to feature a film reel. Here's to hoping for a Paris map soon

  4. This might interest you.

You see bottom right of loading screen hinting at next map's loading screen? - Well it's a film reel and maybe a microphone with some rocks around it.

Compare it with this image from Treyarch of Kino Der Toten from BO1.

Look where I highlighted. Same exact film reel and possible microphone. And the same exact formation and placement of rocks next to the reel.

Remember on the BO1 Wii Version - Audio Clip was found in Kino linking BO1 Zombie Storyline to Great Leap Forward.

    Return to Kino anyone? :ugeek:

  5. Matuzz - Look at the image you just posted! The film reel and microphone? is on your picture and looks exactly like the one on the loading screen!

Wow. Is it really going to be Kino? - Maybe the radio linking to Great Leap Forward on Kino (Wii Edition) might be a correlation to link back to kino

  6. In the starting round near the computers, we hear Maxis speak:

"The energy fields are no longer disrupting my communications via electrical devices. You will hear me and you should listen."

This most likely implies that one person needs to be in the vicinity of those computers to hear Maxis speak. 10 times out of 10, I hear Maxis the best at these computers.

Go down a floor or two and find the SVU, Maxis again speaks:

"You will need the weapon you hold in due time. Ensure you guard it with your life."

In the intro to solo Die Rise, we see implied time travel and something very interesting. All of the characters have specific weapons. I.E. - Marlton has a sniper  However, it is shown that they have failed the easter egg for the most part and all perish. Richtofen then uses his purple aether magic to seemingly 'rewind time' (as Samuel and other characters act like they have Deja Vu) and tells them to "Begin Anew"

Perhaps the purple magic is a nod to the purple Sliquifier. Perhaps it implies that most of them had the wrong weapon. We know the Sliquifier cannot be upgraded if you get it from the workbench. Maybe we can upgrade it if we get it from the box?

In the starting round as Samuel, we hear Richtofen mumble and moan.

It isn't until we get the SVU as Samuel that we hear him talk:

"We must neutralize any errant energy fields in order to prevent Maxis from enacting his plan. Take whatever action is necessary to ensure the sources do not fall under his control... IF YOU CAN FIND THEM!"

What produces energy? - Generators. We most likely have to keep the SVU for after the next step in which the player finds these errant energy field sources. However, Treyarch specifically made zombies die out if you go to far :x so the team will need a zombie-sitter.

Also, when turning on the power as Samuel we hear Richtofen again:

"Vital energy flows through all things, living or dead. My power to manipulate these forces is fragile, and limited. That is why I need your help. Domkopf!"

Whatever the steps are, it seems that while we should build the NavCard Reader on Die Rise, it lacks EE importance as neither of the voices congratulate you on building it and it most likely will only have importance when we eventually go back to Green Run.

If anyone wants to search for the EE, drop me an invite: Xperiment 117

  7. Once a good majority of people have downloaded Revolution, we will see a huge influx of new topics on the forum and this will get buried lol

So! Anyone interested in lobbying up for a game of Die Rise today? (I'm off today 8-) )

I will be playing solo once or twice though, but add my gamertag! Xperiment 117

  8. Review the gamestop BO2 poster.

Look at the II behind her (Sam i hope), the 'two' has a special design for black ops II and based on the hydrant and crumbled buildings beneath her feet I believe the II looks like the world trade center so we could be looking at some location of a zombie map in New York or somewhere in the new campaign that holds a similar importance like the WTC. Either way ZOMBIES FTW!
