  1. Honestly, I doubt that they're gonna be putting out any form of trailer on its own at this point. They're being asked left and right about zombies every time something on the net pops up and the only thing they've given us are "it's gonna be bigger, better etc, etc." And oh yeah it has an 8 player game mode. Maybe they'll release something after the game is out, or stuff a spoiler in a multiplayer/campaign video. On its own though I'm gonna call it no. Doesn't matter much for me though, less I see the more badly I want it.

  2. I understand where you are coming from...

How about a Round 60 cap instead? I mean once you get to that point nothing really changes (not even spawn speeds) except the fact that you will have more and more waves. Unless they have new boss zombies every 10 rounds, that would be sweet.

Well of course a cap like that would be fine for a number of us, but what about the hardcore zombie players who love making/breaking world records? As far as that goes round 99 is the highest in multi and people do work their asses off for it. We should know especially, because look at this forum, how many players have earned themselves that level of prestige for things like round 99 co-op, round 100+ solo, over 300 kills NML. Heck they even have their triple crown club and the amount of people in there I can count on one hand. We hold them in that respect because there is no limit and they've worked their asses off to show skill and determination. But anyway, I just personally believe hardcore zombie fans would be disappointed if they suddenly had this new limit on how much they could show off, you see where I'm going?

  3. Yea you're probably right, but Solo is solo and pretty much will never be on equal playing ground with Co-op simply because of the pause function, but still I think a leaderboard should be there. I can't count the number of times where I've went into a random match, checked the leaderboard, see this guy only make it to round 15 but says "dude I've made it to 60 solo" and I go "I'm sure you did, little engine that could" and leave anyway. Just saying a solo leaderboard would really help find good team-mates. And even still with the pause function there are people who can't make it to round 100 (personally just not interested in going past 50-60 range) even with the pause function because as someone said, it does make you lose rhythm sometimes. And that can cause you to lose your score. Just saying, show solo lovers some love :D .

  4. Alright Jim, I am bit late to post this. I would like to make few suggestion.

Round caps on leaderboards: Could you please lower the round cap to 50 in BO2. You know we really need a pause function or a normal person in his real ***** mind would never want to to get to 99 with no breaks.

Also, Please DON't change AI on zombies. you can create more phaser zombies instead.

    Feel free to discuss/improvise/comment.

    Avid zombie player,

    way2g00

Whoa man pretty much everything you said except those two. Lowering the round cap to 50 would be mind numbing and easy. For real dude every zombie killer and his brother would be getting that thing in like 6 hours. Leaderboard would lose it's worth. And I would love to see some more changes to zombie AI, because until they start f*cking up my train on purpose, I'm not gonna be challenged really.

  5. There will always be those who cheat or hack their way to the leaderboards. You can't prevent that. You also can't make your decisions about things being implemented, based on that. If that were the case, a lot of things could have been left out for the simple fear of manipulation. It will happen. That doesn't mean you should take away from the majority of the population on zombies. If you made it to 99, more power to you, and mad respect. Most people make it to about 40 or 50. I mean look at this site. Those who have proven their leaderboards, and have a medal, are often in the 40 category. For those of you with skills and TIME to make it further, why not have a break for your casual gameplay?

It sounds a little bit like you contradicted yourself, but I'm not sure, I just woke up. In any case what you said about most good players going 40-50 rounds is about right, hell most of my games die around 42 either way. So on the point of there being a pause option it really doesn't need to be implemented, simply because when most players that games end in those rounds they normally make crawlers like every round and take breaks, get drinks, take a piss, etc, etc. It would be pretty much unnecessary.

Unless they gimme an 8 hour pause so me and my bud can get some sleep and we wake up the next day and go to 99 then sure they could implement it but it probably wouldn't be used as much really.

  6. Well I think I get the gist of what you're saying, but it seems like if that's the case, with multiple timelines (the way you put it sounds almost like a parallel universe-ish theory), wouldn't there be a point of intersection. Or wouldn't that basically make zombies impossible? If they were created in one timeline, and they keep changing time periods, how do the zombies come to exist in every different location and timeline? See what I'm saying?

Well everything that was done in one timeline effects everything in the current and future timelines. So creating Zombies in timeline A effects every timeline afterwards. If Zombies were created in timeline B, then it effects B, C, D, etc and not A. Does that make sense?

Ahh ok. Now if this is the case then, and the theory of Moon being first is credible, the real question we need to answer would be "Where did they travel after moon, to the future or to the past?" Correct me if I'm wrong.

  7. 8. No some event happend in between Moon and Ascension that switched the roles back. Something big and bloody most likely. Which could explain the characters appearances.

Well then lets think about this logically.

If Ascension happened after the events of Moon, as your theory points out, and the events of "Five" and Ascension were unfolding at the same time (which is post Moon events), you seem to forget that the earth was Nuked. And if this is the case, how can the events of "Five" even happen at this point. "Five" takes place in the Pentagon, not a nuclear bomb shelter so if this was the case there wouldn't have even been a "Five" in the first place.

Second hole in your theory is that the events of Call of the dead happen Post-Ascension (which in your theory is Post-Moon). Now simple question, if the world was nuked why would there have been a crew of actors and a director in Siberia making a movie for a post-apocalyptic world? Wouldn't they have died as well?

The third hole is that this would now make Shangri-la the actual last map they were on in Black ops. And of course the problem with that is, Richtofen needed the focusing stone to power the vril-generator. Now if this was the reality, how could he have done the events on Moon, IF he didn't even have the necessary materials? See what I'm saying mate?

  9. Mmmm...False advertising man, could you change the name of the thread? It says zombie reveal as if you had a video up of the zombies reveal trailer or something already. I clicked the link half expecting to finally see some actual BO2 zombies man. Just saying the name of the thread should be changed to something a little less attention grabbing.

But on topic, I think we might see someone from treyarch talking about zombies and brief clips of them playing the game.

  10. Yeah, I don't think he was talking about ELITE when he mentioned zombie clans. He referred to them as something people already have, and unless I completely missed something in ELITE, I haven't seen anything about zombie clans.

Well I'm guessing they wouldn't put out any elite zombie clan related info until the game actually came out, but I might be wrong. Anyway hasn't multiplayer zombies already been confirmed, actually scratch that it was...

Click link and go to about 6:37:00 he says it clear as day there is a zombies versus mode.

  11. What if by "double the zombies" he means that there are double the zombies in a round, but still only 24 on the map at once? Sorry if I missed something, I haven't read any quotes directly about this so I don't know the context it was said in.

Sorry but twice the amount of zombies in a round would just make life a living hell. It already takes a few hours to get to 50 in Black ops co-op, about 6-8hours depending on play style. Would you really want double the amount of zombies in a round? That would put me on the brink of insanity  .

And here's an idea...What if they bring back some of the old maps, but completely revamped them and made them even bigger, add new things to them, etc. I mean that's not too far off just expanding the maps they had already, hell it would be pretty easy for them. Example maps like verruckt where people glitch and go outside the map all the time anyway, instead they would just add a door leading outside and make it playable. Just an idea.

  12. Okay so as we've heard recently, and whether some want to accept it or not, we will be having a campaign mode for zombies in BO2. Personally I look forward to adventuring through it as I've never been much of a theorist when it comes to zombies, and anticipate learning much about the story. However, the thought has just occurred to me that zombies has put much influence on teamwork throughout the past 2 games, and with the next installment even having its own versus multiplayer mode (Yes it has been confirmed, this isn't a thread to argue these details).

So with this knowledge I wonder if we can expect to see some sort of Co-op campaign, where you can take on the adventure with a friend or friends and achievements/unlocks, etc. would count for both players. I'm not sure if there is anybody who has thought of this yet but if not what do you, fellow CoDz members, believe will happen? Do you think there is the chance of a co-op campaign? I would love to hear some feedback. :)

  13. Jus little old me chipping in here...

When we say "Zombies Campaign", what do we mean exactly? An on-rails story mode similar to that of previous Call of Duty campaigns? I think that's what most people are thinking.

I'm figuring it's exactly as it says it...a campaign mode where you play through a story of sorts and kill zombies while doing it.

Nuh uh. I doubt it'll be anything like that. Simply a mode where the game-play and tasks set are heavily contributing to the story.

    CCM

Oh...I believe the term you're looking for in this is what we've come to know as Easter eggs. The game-play where you kill zombies and there's a task that contributes to more story knowledge...almost like Moon, Shangri-la, Ascension, Call of the dead. If that were the case in point, I don't think Lamia would have pretty much said there's a campaign, the wave based mode that we know and love will still be there, and there's a new multiplayer mode. So yea I think it's a pretty safe bet that there is a story mode based campaign. :geek:

  14. Lol honestly I can dig BO multiplayer because it's the first CoD game I had ever played and I'm glad it was so easy. Nice low killstreaks, fun maps, and killstreaks that worked better for certain maps.

I can dig MW3 because it's even easier and I like being able to quickscope. Although screwed up spawns, games with no host (causing ridiculous lagg sometimes), and maps where the killstreaks are just so pointless on them do the gameplay some damage it's not the worst thing I've ever played.

So for BO2 I expect it to be pretty good and can't wait for those futuristic killstreaks. Hopefully that x-ray scope actually will be a killstreak. And OMG something just came to mind. Imagine like how MW3 did the specialist perks as killstreaks, BO2 does like extra gun attachments and perks as a type of killstreak as well.

  15. Hypocrite... Seriously, you're using something that was used against you against me. Apparently you're just as negative, so don't go on like that.

At the very least I was going to STOP posting, but you just drew me back in. Thanks. People ALWAYS seem to do this. I asked people something, then you bring upon more negativity. Now, lets end this.

At the very least I am being negative on something that could possibly really suck, or not be how everyone wanted it to be. Now, please, could someone explain to me why Zombie Campaign is a good idea in a polite manor, and I will be polite in return.

Well I was showing you how he pointed out how negative I was being and made me realize I should have a more open mind about it but apparently you took it the wrong way.

On the reasons why it could potentially be good:

    1) Treyarch is looking to draw in more new players for their entire game in general so putting in a zombie campaign somewhere would catch up any new players on the story so they're not left in a position where they have to go back to buying black ops just to understand the story.

    2) Bridging the gaps between maps of course for the theorists who've tried to figure out xyz and how x happened when y was happening. For us veteran zombie slayers we could finally understand the timeline and skips in between. And a more detailed look at our crew and group 935 maybe the ascension group as well even how they got overrun.

    3) Lamia has assured in one of the interviews that the wave based game mode will still be there, and I mean of course business wise getting rid of the wave based mode would cause them to lose many of the loyal, veteran zombie killers. Where we can mindlessly shoot zombies in the face for hours until we finally die.

    4) A multiplayer mode which shows that maybe they're trying to reach out to the community that likes to shoot each other in the face for killstreaks. They're going hey guys we put something in zombies that you can even get competetive with. Lamia even said guys should start getting their clans ready in an interview somewhere.

So really I don't know if the game is going to be perfect, I haven't played it yet. I just going to stopped bagging on it because maybe it actually will be good. They're trying to put something in it for everyone and the bottom line is that we ASKED for change. We put out ideas and apparently they tried to incorporate these ideas in there. So just go in there with an open mind (because seriously I was thinking it might turn into a L4D/ resident evil type game), hope for the best, that they stayed true to the original style of zombies and it could be better than what we think.

Let's save our hate and worries for when the game comes out at least. That way you can just come back on the forums and say "Mhm told ya so."

  16. Okay, you know what, since I'm not getting anywhere with you people, I'm going to ask you guys: Why the hell do you want a zombie campaign?

With 3arc having to do normal campaign, multiplayer, and normal zombies all at the same time, I can tell you it is extremely unlikely that they would do a zombie campaign as well. Video games aren't exactly easy to make. It could end up being terribly done.

It might end up like a CoD campaign, a one time thing regardless of if you have Co-op or not. Could end up like L4D. Terrible, IMO.

I want to find out the story, but not like this. I just don't see campaign happening. I'm going to end it like this. Give me an actual good reason for there to be a zombie campaign, other than the fact that it progresses the zombie story, and maybe I'll be open minded.

Actually, no I won't. I'm too stubborn as many of you know. But maybe I'll actually respect your opinions more, because right now I really just don't get it.

*Sigh* As Jason Lives said to me...

:facepalm::facepalm: Why do you even come on this site? All you've done since Zombies have been revealed is complain and whine about what you think possibly may not be good.

I've never been one to say this, but in your case I'll make an exception: Just play W@W since apparently you had an issue with half of Blops maps. There problem solved...

Jumping to conclusions has become the new pastime here. What you didn't get the memo? We're all suppossed to be cynical "interwebz" DB's who just shit on everything, because that's what cool kids do.

All I'm seeing is just more negativity. If having "confirmed zombie campaign" said to you makes your balls recede into your stomach and your ears bleed then maybe you should just give up hope on call of duty sir. :)

  17. Maps like Ascension, Kino, and Moon are great solo maps, but I hate them play with others. I understand the appeal with those big maps with awesome weapons. The people who play them usually run by themselves, rage quit when they lose their safety weapon. I have yet to come across any solid players I would like to friend on those maps. They might be out there, but they are harder to find than non nagging wives.

I caught a glimpse of the wunder weapon ideas and honestly enjoy most of them, but hope none happens. Great weapons in co-op will unevenly give advantage to box huggers, eventually lead to rage quit. I hope a simple ray gun type for everyone is the ceiling, or lesser weapons like winters howl or wunderwaffle. Solo masters will hate me for my comments but I only play co-op.

In conclusion, I'm hoping for a verruckt or five type map. I hate the idea of playing for three hours to a failure. I want maps to be hard that reaching round 25 is an achievement, not a failure. But I understand most people don't want what I want, and majority will always win.

    On a separate note.

    Jay's complaints part 2

Playing online when someone goes down, the safest thing is to cease fire. Reviving becomes a piece of cake when you reach max spawn. On maps like Ascension and Der Riese, hold for another minute until the revived teammate get jug. Many many games people keep shooting while someone goes for jug, goes down again because of the location of jug. Good players pay attention to detail, losers never learn from mistakes.

Well Jay, as for ascension and moon and call of the dead, almost every player I've met on those maps know that its Phd Flopper and mustang and sally that are the safety weapons. Reason being for that is I believe by now most people know that there is only 1 thundergun or wave gun in the box and don't put their entire faith into getting it. If you go into a co-op game and all your teammates are saying is "I want wave gun/thunder gun" you should more than likely already know what you've gotten yourself into. As for raging when you lose your safety weapon...If I accidentally put mustang and sally into the box or trade it for a wall gun, I always tell my teammates I'm going down and not to come revive me. I can always get a raygun back from the box but fact of the matter is it's not gonna save your life if you're trapped.

For your great weapons and box hugger argument I'll again use mustang and sally as the example. Any good player that has made it to a high round know that mustang and sally are the real great weapons because everyone can have them. The special box weapons are normally just best for 2 player strategies, and again if you have teammates quitting because "I haz no T-gun so I diez" then it's probably for the best that they leave. Also it is rare that box huggers get the best guns because it normally comes down to raw luck, honestly I've never gotten the wave gun on moon in co-op and I play it so often it's not even funny. I have a buddy that almost always gets it on his first box hit (I kid you not). And i've seen people spend 5 hits in a row greeding the box while the rest of the team is there and when someone else finally gets to use it they get the good gun.

Finally if you're a real co-op lover then co-op type strategy based maps should be your thing. I can give you no better example for this than CoTD with the VR-11 strategy. Also for the revive thing yes, I always tell teammates to ceasefire when someone goes down makes the whole thing a world easier. Most good players who even have a clue how zombies works knows this.

  18. You guys forget the part of syndicate's video where he goes on twitter and clicked on one of the official treyarch guys (I think Reza he said was the name) who is the producer of zombies. Reza had posted something on twitter saying E3 2012 most anticipated black ops 2 and then put the link to CVG. If this is the case, and he knew what information this article contained, wouldn't it be somewhat obvious proof that it is confirmed? Why would a zombies producer post fake information on his twitter.

Oh I know someone is gonna say "Maybe all the campaign parts of the article were official and the zombies isn't." But if that were the case wouldn't he have put like "the zombies section of that article is misleading/fake information," as a forewarning? Be logical guys also remember all the screenshots of the diner with Fidel Castro? Would make sense for the others from five to return as well since as Castro was with them.

Edit: It also says it at the top of the website CVG that it's covering E3.
