You made Oil Rig?! Holy balls that is a good map.

Amongst some of their less desirable new perks in BO2 it's nice to see a useful one come right out of the gate in BO3.
-
I'm pretty sure I've played some of your maps before, I don't remember which ones, or one possibly. Congrats on your hard work though and you're already making great contributions to site with BO3 now out in the wild. Can't wait to see what you make with the new mod tools!
-
Love your name dude, looking forward to seeing you around!
-
Was extremely hyped to see this and can't wait to play it!
I just wish Treyarch and Playstation hadn't tweeted it out before I even touched the campaign....

Weak jumpscare, but interesting choice of a jumpscare. That most definitely will come into play later on.

So they must be using the same scripts for the basis of zombie mode (which should make things easier for us modders when the time comes), because that isn't a 'bug' per se (the way it occurs usually is) but the way it kills you is totally intentional on Treyarch's part.
//IPrintLnBold( "PLAYERS ARE TOO FRIENDLY!!!!!" );
players dodamage( 1000, (0, 0, 0) );
players[j] dodamage( 1000, (0, 0, 0) );if ( !killed_players )
{
players playsound( "zmb_laugh_child" );
}
killed_players = true;
}
}
wait( .5 );
}
}I know that they put it in there to prevent glitching and exploits but still, it can be a little bothersome especially with a lot of the verticality in SoE. Oh well, just gotta be careful I guess.

Yeah, despite its issues for some reason I can't stop playing it. I was planning on playing so much zombies and I've only done a couple of matches. Still, this issue with it constantly saying I can't join over half of my friends' parties is ridiculous and I know I'm not the only one either.
That being said I am enjoying the mp and am especially having fun with Reaper using his Scythe. First time I pulled it out, it was on Safeguard and I immediately got 8 rapid kills with it. Can't wait to try out Arena soon.

I must commend this for being everything I hoped for and more. I love me some DOA chaos.
-
I also witnessed the infamous player on top of another and both getting downed the other day, completely unintentional on their behalf too. I'm more annoyed by an old one like that still being around than a new one being there.

So I'm sure this figures into the main EE somehow but when you start a match in SoE and see the Shadow Man standing on the balcony up above, you can shoot him (solo or co-op) and it will jump to round 5 with a 1000 point bonus, if you keep shooting him it will jump to round 10 and I don't remember the amount of points then, and if you keep shooting him after that it takes you to round 15 with 16,000 points total and he finally disappears. Does anyone know the purpose of this yet? Makes it hella hard to start a match this way because the zombies immediately swarm you and it pretty much becomes a race to jug if you can even make it.
-
Yeah I heard the one radio in SoE and was like "well shit". Kudos to all those who insisted we were experiencing the multiverse. We were horribly wrong on that.
-
I too have experienced a successful host migration with the round counting on The Giant. I believe what you experienced was something stemming from the servers being under a lot of pressure for launch.
-
I was wondering what was up with the mobile site looking all weird, which especially kind of sucks right now because my computer broke and won't be fixed until a week from now.

Surprisingly, surviving is very hard. In black ops 2, you could just train and do whatever you wanted. In SoE, the zombies can spawn ahead of where you're running, it makes it a lot more difficult. Personally I haven't had much time to go on a scavenger hunt.
I will say that quests have become a big part of zombies, yet survival has become harder and the new customization kind of let's you set up survival matches only quite well. Once you have everything unlocked that is.

Mines working but the sound is very ordinary. I can barely hear the zombies or announcer. Anyone else getting this. Juggernog an SOE doesn't seem real good either. Oh well, first day. I guess after waiting so long I kinda expected more playability. Seems like the same old crap.
not meaning to complain, the game looks ok. The performance is a little sluggish
edit, also my redeem code for the sound track has 13 digits instead of 12. I can't type 13 in the box. Not sure what the go is there but she don't work
The soundtrack code is entered on their website.

Redemption comes at a cost. It's probably just symbolic for them giving up what they were previously committing crimes for. In a way.

Completing the first step in the EE blew my mind. And that hidden radio, oh my. Looks and plays great, feels a little more difficult but that may be because I'm used to PC gaming lately. Also really loving all these smaller connections to MotD. Great stuff here.

The first thing I will do in the game, and only thing for a long time, is search through the new terminal. I'll let everyone else do the rest :p
You may be the only one, haha.

It seems like BO3 is bringing not just a bunch of new people, but a bunch of old faces as well. Always enjoy seeing passionate members with great contributions coming back into the fold. Welcome back friend!

with the new limits in BO3, people could do wonderful things with BO3, create new SoE type maps, more maps with old crew, perhaps create a proper Tranzit map, re-make older maps with updated graphics and features - its truly exciting if all this happens, and will entice me more to get a gaming pc or laptop when i can get a job.
I was pretty disappointed when I heard the project to remake Tranzit got cancelled, hopefully with these new tools they can make something even better than that. And I would actually kind of like seeing more custom maps with the NO4. Perhaps even having them revisit all the other old maps if Treyarch isn't doing anymore remakes? The possibilities are so exciting for this.

I wouldn't say the city itself is ridden with zombies, remember in MotD that we discover from the guard's journal entry/ report (or whatever it was) that the 4 prisoners just kind of vanished and everything else carried on at Alcatraz like normal. It seems like this will be the case in SoE where the new 4 wake in a hellish version of Morg city just like how the prisoners found themselves in a (even more) hellish version of Alcatraz.
And perhaps they've been planning this map since back then, though they basically had 3 years to make this game with over 2 years of that time being able to focus on it completely without having to really worry about BO2. It's possible the basic concept of the map was in mind when they made MotD but I don't think they really nailed down everything else until after Origins came out.
That being said, having actual connections to the characters themselves from MotD would indeed be quite the neat little tie-in between the maps. And who knows when Weasel might ever come back into play somehow. Looking forward to it.

Slow and steady wins the race my friend. Though I will actually spend a fair amount of time on the campaign initially myself because I want to see what this big zombies unlock is for beating it without having it spoiled beforehand.

Loving the Greek theme, and the throwbacks to some previous Black Ops prestige emblems. Some of it looks a little too mechanized for me but that's only a minor nitpick. Overall pretty good and it'll be a shame that I'll only have each of the first 10 for a little bit. I got to Master Prestige in BO2 pretty quickly and I plan on doing the same again in this game.
SOE EE FINALLY COMPLETE!

It's annoying that it was solved this way but at least I can appreciate that Treyarch made an EE that people couldn't fully figure out within the first couple of days without using the files from the game. That's what I was hoping for anyway. The hunt for the main EE is always one of the most exciting parts.
