  1. Eventually every map becomes easy because we all find our strategies. I was really hoping there would be not very many open spaces because I absolutely hate trains. In my opinion they require no skill and are boring as hell. No offense to those who train I just don't find it as fun as other strategies.

  2. 2.Its a claustrophobic map

I dont know about you, but everything i remember about Cod Zombies is mowing down zombies with guns. I dont remember running circles as a fun time!

    6.Special zombie round

Finally! This is another thing that can be awesome if 3arch does it right. I hope they make it as good as hellhounds and monkeys. Them bringing these rounds back is logical, as people missed hellhounds in tranzit.

Anyway, this was all i had to say! Hope you enjoyed it! :D

I agree with these two points 100%

I miss camping, I think 3Arc needs to bring this back. (IE a good few spots with no "roaming" bosses)

    And I miss boss rounds.

I've tried playing with hellhounds enabled in survival, but it's not the same and the fact that leader boards don't reflect make it seem self defeating to play that way.

But the return of a proper boss like The Dr, Dogs or Monkeys would make me very happy.

I always have the most fun when I camp with a group of friends. The whole nowhere to run feeling of camping is so much fun. I really hope DR has some sweet spots.

  3. by julpr » Sat Jan 26, 2013 1:36 pm im felling this map would have the same vibe as five and shangrila close quaters type

Not to many fans of this type of map, can wait for the hate threads on it lol

Said it earlier im gonna say it again...Can wait for the hate threads about Die Rise!

Close quarter maps will always be a nightmare for train whores, that wont play team stradegy game play.

Die rise aparently will be tight and as jimmy says in one of latest tweet:

From the first drawing of die rise on the white board wall in my office, all I could think was..."many people are going to fall". Good luck!

This map in my opinion will be one of the hardest made! Lets see..

That's exactly why I love close quarter maps. No trains. I cannot stand hearing kids boast about high rounds when all they do is run in a circle. Whenever I matchmake for Green Run it's nothing but jerkoffs who venture off on their own and run trains. Real helpful for the team.

  4. because of the return of our 4 characters which up until now have only been seen in tranzit mode and the return of build-able items which also have only been seen in tranzit mode. I think it is safe to assume tranzit mode will return on die rise. the question is what is the new mode of transportation in this mode? Rickshaw? Helicopter? or my personal theory of a subway train? any way you look at it the answer will be here in 2 short days.

It's not TranZit. Those things you listed will be in every BO2 map from now on. TranZit is the only one to feature them because it's the first map on BO2. Besides Charlie Intel played the map and tweeted about it saying it was one compact map. No bus or anything like that. TranZit was exclusive to Green Run.

  5. I totally said Die Rise was the gamemode a few days ago. They advertised Green Run/TranZit by calling the whole thing TranZit. They'll probably advertise all the maps like this by calling it by the main gamemode.

  6. like mentioned above it will def have a tranzit mode but there will also be survival. no buildibles in survival and your either cdc or cia. i understand people dont like tranzit but treyarch never said they were scrapping it and the clue's are obvious tranzit will be there. wasnt it said they want both? tranzit as the new "campaign" and survival to keep the feel zombie players fell in love with.

They also never once said that TranZit was the new campaign or that they weren't scrapping it. And if you would so kindly explain which "clues" suggest that Die Rise is a TranZit map? Since they are obvious.

  7. I have ruthlessly pushed this opinion in the past but now I believe this is an appropriate place to voice it. I do not think it will be a TranZit map. I belive TranZit was an exclusive game mode to Green Run and I believe Die Rise will have it's exclusive game mode aswell. I think with each map they're gonna add something, in terms of gameplay, that we've never seen before in order to challenge us and make the maps more exciting and unique kinda like the TranZit did with the bus and split up map. However I have no clue how they plan on doing that in Die Rise but I'm hoping it's not another TranZit.

  8. Difficulty should never be the determining factor on whether you dislike or like a map. In fact, I feel a hard map has far more playability than an easy map. Literally anyone can train at Flopper on Ascension for 100 rounds. But 100 on Shang? Well, save for the G-Spawn, which seems to be a huge flaw for that map, it takes major skill for 100.

Difficult maps encourage you to play smarter than you normally would. Green Run was pretty lame in my opinion for a multitude of reasons (atmosphere, fog, tediousness, deceptive advertising) but it was in no way difficult. I'm fairly certain I could get 100 very quickly using the Switch Method with the Jet Gun. Green Run is actually the easiest map, behind Ascension, in my opinion.

Die Rise will challenge the fundamentals of Zombies, I think. It will be tough, but that is where us strategists thrive. It doesn't take a strategic master to come up with the Flopper strategy. But finding a fast, effective strategy in tight corridors?

    Well, that's a different story.

Don't judge this map on a poster and a total of, what, 25 seconds of gameplay? Wait until an actual Die Rise trailer (doubtful) or until the map itself drops. ;) Keep doing your thing and kill zombies.

    -Andrew

I couldn't agree more. Shangri-La was one of my favorite maps. It's close quartered which makes for faster gameplay. I honestly hope Die Rise is like this.

  9. If anyone has seen my previous posts about Die Rise you know how worried I am. Green Run was very dissapointing in my opinion. TranZit was disappointing aswell. I really do hope Die Rise doesn't do the transportation thing like TranZit. Here's my thing with TranZit, the main focus of TranZit is obviously the bus and the devs make it clear. However after awhile I find myself not using the bus at all. When features like that have so much focus on them and I end up ignoring them I feel like the game, or map in this case, failed to deliver the experience. Same thing when developers put something in a game to evoke a certain emotion from the players but they don't feel that emotion. You know that your supposed to feel that emotion and when you don't, it's disappointing. I know that i'm supposed to take advantage of the features in TranZit but they suck and I don't find myself using them ever and for that reason it was a disappointing experience. If that makes any sense.

  10. Someone else already said this but I think that only Speed Cola and Juggernog will be on the elevators since they are of more importance, just like how they only spawned in NML on Moon.. All other perks will just be scattered around the map. Possibly Pack a Punch involves the elevators aswell.

  11. Thank you for posting it :)

Also take note Misty isn't shown much in this trailer, further hinting only 3 devs playing at the time and this time showing is Marlton is infact alive

I totally mentiomed this like 3 times and no one noticed.

  12. Ok people, let's turn this argument into something positive! AND ON TOPIC. *cough* *cough*

The trailer will probably show whether or not it is a tranzit map.

    Now stay on topic.

Agreed. I apologize for derailing the discussion and acting rudely. I guess I just got a little too worked up.

  13. Rickety, it might not be as big as Green Run, but it most certainly will be a Tranzit mode along with smaller Survival maps. Treyarch (and most definitely Activision) would not create a new mode just for one map.

We will all find out next week. But buildables and the T4 guarantee a Tranzit map in my opinion.

TranZit isn't a gamemode. TranZit is the name of the story mode in Green Run. Story is a gamemode. What I'm trying to say is that Die Rise is a brand new map. Reusing the style of transporting from area to area isn't new at all. Why would they reuse that idea? Truthfully it would be boring and completely uncreative. What I look for in maps is what makes them different and more challenging from the previous ones. And when I mean different I'm not just talking about surroundings I'm talking about gameplay and tactics. I like the idea of having to remaster zombies with each new map. This is not something I can see myself going through if Die Rise is like TranZit. TranZit wasn't challenging, it was just annoying.

There were no challenges to overcome, just pestering features that I could easily avoid. The bus for instance, I didn't need to master how to survive on the bus because after you have Jug and the Galvaknuckles the bus is nothing more than a useless hunk of junk. This was my issue with TranZit and I fear these issues will arise again in Die Rise if it functions the same way as TranZit.

  14. What makes you think the map is TranZit based? :|

1.New Crew: Have only been featured on Tranzit.

2.Buildables: Have only been featured on Tranzit.

3.Power Switch: Has only been in the "Tanzit" mode for BO2

    4.Helicopter in Poster: Why?

I've said it before and i'll gladly say it again, in absolutely no god damn way does this mean it's a TranZit based map. Spoiler alert: Every map from now on is gonna have buildables and the new crew. Doesn't mean we'll be riding a gank ass bus or a friggin' helicopter every map too. You know why those features are only on TranZit? IT'S THE ONLY MAP FOR BLACK OPS 2, as of right now. Aside from NT. These assumptions are absurd. I apologize for being a bit aggressive but you guys gotta understand that making another TranZit style map would be too easy and uncreative. The zombies team has always done an awesome job of changing the game with each new map, they give us a new challenge. Another TranZit style map wouldn't be new or challenging at all, eventually the formula of it would get stale and easily mastered. I don't see Die Rise following the TranZit style.

  15. Nothing frustrates me more than people who think that for a map to be in Tranzit mode it has to have a "gank ass bus"

I guarantee Die Rise has a Tranzit mode. It will likely also be broken up into smaller survival, turned, and grief maps just like Green Run is with Depot, town and farm.

Tranzit is a game mode like survival, grief, and turned are game modes. Green run is the map as a whole, just like Die Rise will be a map as a whole. Not sure why this is so hard to comprehend for some peeps.

Sorry if that sounded rude.. some people don't like the bus driver being called "TEDD" or the Electric guy being called "Avagadro." I don't like when people call Tranzit a map when it's a game mode. With Green run being the only map out right now it's ok to call it Tranzit I guess but when the other DLC's are out that will change pretty quick as it will be obvious that there will end up being at least 4 "Tranzit" maps.

I agree. I can't stand when my friends are like "Let's play TranZit." so I start up TranZit and they're like "No, just the town one." I can understand the confusion but it's been almost 3 months. Know the difference. However if Die Rise does have a transpotation like feature then it probably won't be called TranZit again. I bet the game mode is called Die Rise and the map itself is called something different.

On another note, the elevator idea would be awesome. But instead of a set path, it would go to random floors.
