  1. The biggest difference for me between the two are playing solo/ playing coop.

BO1 was a lot of fun for me coop, for two years I couldn't resist the game because every single game feels different with the different guys you play with. Except for NML, BO1 solo offer little rewards compared to coop.

BO2 by far was a solo map. I played solo majority of the time for a few reasons. Besides Town and Farm, we rely too heavy on our team that it becomes a burden to coordinate the team. Ranking also factors into it, that playing solo is the faster and safer way to shotguns. The rage quitting was further magnified in BO2 because games no longer count as soon as the first quit.

This game is better coop, at least for me. For the next game, I hope Treyarch spends more time developing not the in game details, but how to further addict us into the world of zombies. Not with easier map, not with better wonder weapons, not with more scenic graphics, but with better player interactions within the game.

  2. Well, adults are aware of the concept of shame, therefore they don't feel the need to make screen names like "Fart Specialist". You're very right though. It's not an absolute, but there is a very good chance that the operator of a childish and stupid screen name is in fact childish and stupid.

Hmm, I wonder how @12_yr_old_virgin (aka @ - Jay) feels about this? A mid thirties, successful business professional & possibly one of the smartest guys on CoDz, but when he has an internet handle, he becomes a total troll.

PS - why is this in the Black Ops forum? When it comes socializing and interactions, how one acts almost completely depends on his or her target audience. There is absolutely no need to be coherent and professor-esque when you are on PSN and/or CODZ. In fact, I act like an ass/jerk/immature/dick mostly because I do not get to be one elsewhere.

Good topic though, very relevant and very interesting.

  3. Hi, it's been a while. Kinda needed a break from both the game and the forum, but it's nice to see most of the regulars still active. Either you guys are very committed, or that you have no lives.

With that out of the way, lets share your game style.

    A. Alpha Dog.

You enjoy being under the spotlight and run away with stats. Points, kills, wonder weapons, you not only want them you need to have them to enjoy the game. You thrive on being "The One."

Personal Note: I enjoy playing with alpha dogs.

    B. Mr. Tag along

You are only playing because you are tired of stroking your schwang. You have no preference or goals, rather just want to hang out and play with your friends.

Personal Note: I like playing with tag alongs.

    C. Man on Mission

Your games are often predetermined. You are aiming to make an impact, you play for results, wether it be world records or YouTube videos.

Personal Note: I find these guys incredibly boring. Although I live for your guides and tutorials.

    D. The Hot Blonde

You call the shots for the simple fact that you have your mike on. You expect people to follow your leadership military style. When the team falters it is always their fault for not cooperating with you.

Personal Note: You are like the hot blonde that expects everyone to kiss your ass. Guess what Mr./Ms. Hot blonde, kiss my ass.

    E. The Psycho

You do things that normal people do not. You open all the doors that most people prefer closed. You refuse to cooperate with the team strategy. You are self sufficient with or without the team and do things your way.

Personal Note: When playing with randoms I enjoy being the psycho.

That is all I have. Hopefully you were entertained. Thanks for reading.

  4. I'll start:

Rule #1: the player with the most points should buy the door, unless negotiations are made.

Rule 1-a :  If the player with the most points has the least kills, they are free to do what the fuck they want. I'm with Mega and Chopper on this rule.

I always hated being the guy asked to open more than my share of doors simply because I have been more frugal with my assets. I'll contribute my share, but I refuse to conserve points just for you.

  5. I thing I hated about Xbox was the accuracy of the notifications.

I would get a message "Mega wants friends to play black ops", thinking it was an invite. I quit my game, and finds out that mega is not even online or playing black ops.

"Two friends want people to play black ops 2", yet no one is playing black ops 2.

  6. 42. I've tried many times to beat this, but I just cannot do it. I'll get to mid 30s, get bored, run a silly train and die,

I'm like Pyscho, except I gave up sooner. Mustang and Sally is the prefers weapon. On 32, 6 shots will handle a full horde.

Town is fairly easy, but the hordes take too long to be enjoyable.

  7. PlayStation all the way.

In terms of gaming experience PS is quite on par with Xbox. A few differences that stand out.

PSN messaging system and GUI is more structured and organized. Obviously online gaming is cheaper and easier. Bluetooth system on accessories are more common and easier to find.

Xbox messaging is a mess, but the party chat is a plus. Obviously more features but require membership for their online services. Different harddrive systems and wireless headset were nightmare-ish for me. No need to be this complex for simple gaming.

Unless PlayStation becomes obsolete, I would always rank it over Xbox.

  8. For me SNN, Kino, and Shang. Absolutely no interest, I can't explain it.

Origin, Nuketown, and Tranzit on BO2. Very much blah for me. MOTD for a while I complete avoided, then played it exclusively, now back to the dog house.

Buried on a level of its own, the most boring map ever created. But it's easy. Die rise I'm not very fond of either, but I love it for stat patching.

Five I never get bored. It's my favorite by far.

  9. Great format, and good to see strategy guides.

However, most of us can reach 30+ on Ascension with our eyes closed fantasizing Jessica Alba and Lady Gags. I thought the guide was just ok, and very basic in terms of results.

I would like to see a guide with quicker rounds and require less skills.

BTW add me on PSN, maybe I can teach you how to go down a lot and in style.

  10. Anyone like cars? I was in NYC for their annual auto show a week ago and perhaps the best show in years. Many new models or models with drastic makeovers.

Anyways, we have posted many ideas and thoughts on what we would like to see. Subsequently, I think it may not be a horrible idea to post things we hope not to see. It's like any relationship, it helps to know what works and what ticks.

    1. Better map design-more accurately in terms of game play. Give us the option to camp or train with most maps. No more Die Rise or Buried, where moving around in the map mid-round becomes taxing and deadly. Wall weapon placements were just awful. Better organization on map details in terms of gameplay.

    2. Boring weapons- the zombie game has evolved, and the weaponry should adjust with it. No more iconic WW2 weapons that are outdated. Give us chainsaw, axe, and other iconic "zombie weapons". No more similar weapons in different names. Give us variety and tactical.

    3. Leaderboards- take the strengths of both BO1 and BO2 Leaderboards and combine them. Minus the headaches of both. Make it random-friendly, meaning minimizing the impacts of noobs and rage quitting.

    4. Less dependant on traps or Wonder weapons- One thing BO2 trumps over BO1 was the efficiency of rounds without traps or WWs.

    5. Better stories-BO2 storyline was weak, with some attachments to BO1. Hire Steven King and let him devise the drama behind the game.

    6. Side quests-Crushing debris with Leroy was juvenile, feeding the dogs was stupid and annoying, so were other similar quests. Make it more along the lines of the golden spork, blue skulls, or the COTD Easter Egg.

    7. Banks or weapon locker-Completely changes the games and how we approach them.

    8. Perma perks-They were ok, but played too big of a role. I like to see them eliminated or reduced.

    9. Boring characters-I love the BO1 characters. The quotes are either funny or significant. BO2 characters were mostly blah. Except for MOTD.

Thanks for reading. Enjoy your Thursday.

  11. I am pretty sure I'm at the minority here, but I absolutely hate mics on random lobbies.

It is a different story if I'm playing with guys on here or going for something serious, but for the most part with randoms I tune them out completely with comedy. To me 99% of the people who use them abuse the privilege to be heard. Guys who play commander, guys who asks for cooperations beyond normality, guys who play DJs, guys who fail to maintain the conversions to brief, among many others who annoy the heck out of me. Only once in a blue moon do I get an individual who uses the mic properly the way it is intended to.

Playing this game, I feel I have good enough sense of what you are trying to achieve and go with the flow, or survive on my own if I so choose. I feel I can be just as effective with out it, or not let it be an issue. Games with objectives or with friends are obviously different, I would have my mic ready and yap away.

Do I prefer a mic only lobby? Sure, just so I be on the other side.

  12. Having played this game for years, I have traveled a long way from my Olympia days. With that said, I still have a glaring achilles that tend to bother me. I know exactly what it is and how to neutralize it, but I just can't seem to shake it.

My biggest enemy? Myself, and the thought of "I can do it.

In the back of my mind, I knew I shouldn't have, yet too greedy to not knife one last time.

In the back of my mind, I knew I shouldn't have, yet too greedy to pass up Bowie for jug.

In the back of my mind, I knew I shouldn't have, yet too greedy to expose myself during fire sale.

In the back of my mind, I knew I shouldn't have, yet too greedy to not get that double point.

I have long learned to play it safe and play it smart, yet we all cross that line of safety once we get comfortable with our game. When I first started doing the telepad strategy on NML weeks ago, I pretty much PAP and get jug almost everytime with a decent start. Now I try to squeeze in one more quick knife here and there. Yesterday I spend an hour on NML but didn't PAP once. I started pulling crap thinking "I can do this."

    Who is your biggest enemy?

  13. I would like to see a non staff committee designed to do this. I also like the UOTM involvement.

Perhaps along the lines of Mega, Undad, Boom, and Slade, plus UOTM and one staff. Imagine the ass kissing that will come with staff related decisions.

BTW, I would like to say that all staff members are doing an excellent job. All you guys are cool and hip. Please pick my topic.............

  14. I think it will be more fun when Jay actually talks.

Nah, Jay is your typical boring old guy.

    I think 10 - 2 EST, is 3 - 7 GMT.  Either way, that's good for me!

Perfecto, let's get it on. Should have my Xbox Bluetooth today. Don't listen to way, he's just jealous I can be home playing on a Friday afternoon. I'll wake up around 8:30, get some coffee, jog with my dog, and zombies here I come.

  15. I wish I could play today but got a busy day at work and it's my brothers birthday so going out early this evening.

    Friday for sure Jay.

Friday sounds good. I'll clear my schedule for 10-2, which is 2-6 London time. Looks like we are a go. Will have my Bluetooth by then.

Although, with my luck, my boss will call me Friday morning to schedule a lunch meet. I miss the school days where I can blow things off.

aw man :( i want to play with you, but your doing xbox now.

I'm on both. I added you this morning. Although I'm on a mostly BO1 map kick.

What time do you play?I have yet to see you on?

I'm usually on after 11:30 until about 1ish.

Yo jay I think you need to accept the friend request man. Like I said I have you added. Either that or I should unfriendly and friend you again.

No worries my friend, we'll sort this out.

  16. Dude I have you added. Lets get some games going.

If you look up the definition of liar on Webster dictionary, you would see way's face. He once admitted having a collection of dildos.

    r9k3gi.jpg

Rumor has that MMX has been in a threesome before. Perhaps next time he would get some female participants.

I know a guy who knows a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy who knows Shooter, and say he has been suffering from ED. Ironically, "Shooter"'s projectiles cannot travel further than inches. Poor man.

    Beware HW, you are next.

  17. Men are pigs, we can't help ourselves, we are naturally attracted to glamour and beauty without resistance. We are often so caught up with appearance that we forget about their flaws. We forget that the more attractive the woman, the more demanding she is likely to be. We supply and supply, until we either reach a boiling point, or we no longer capable of catching up. Once we get back on the market, we fall for a similar attractive girl with high demands, and the vicious circle we lap and lap.

Much similarlies in the world of co-op zombies, that us men only focus on the first glance, without any considerations for their flaws. We look for guys with good pedigree but then disappointed with their antics. We often forget that the most important aspect of your team isn't their strengths, but their lack of weaknesses.

I consider myself a decent player and a great teammate. I don't have Chopper's sexy moves or am I equipped with way's knowledge of maps. But I don't have any major flaws that would drive you insane either. (Obviously not implying Choppy and way are divas or that they are demanding. I am blessed to have been in games with them). I rarely get in your way and contribute quietly on a need basis. I would gladly take on a less glamorous role just to fit in.

I'm like that cute red head with a great smile and a likeable personality. I may not be a man of many words or have many wild stories, but on occasion I will wow you with some childish humour, and impress you with my American Idol capable voice.

Join me, on Xbox live. Not to see my many strengths, but to enjoy my lack of weaknesses.

P.S. working from home tomorrow, which means zombies marathon. Euro guys this is your chance to score a date with the 12yr old Jayna. Or the US guys with no life.

P.S.2 MMX, way, and Shooter are dangerously close to my friend request deadline. I just realized I sent FR to the wrong Hells Warrior, so he's off the hook for now.
