  1. Welcome to CODZ. I'm sure you will find someone to game with.

We have many older, mature guys here, including myself, Way2g00, Infesto, and other in the 30+ range.

In zombies it is does not matter how old you are, as long as you carry yourself in a presentable form.

  2. Too early to say.

My initial reaction was the same after playing the game sporadically on Xbox. After finally getting the game on PS3, I was disappointed and remorseful for getting it.

The problem was, BO1 was such a success that they set the bar too high. COD zombies brought a new fresh dimension to first person shooter that we had not experienced in the past.

The history of Nazi zombies formed on such basic concept of survive with necessary means was so successful that Treyarch slowly twitched the idea to further the appeal. With each new map we saw and felt the growth of zombies to where it is now internationally. By the time Moon was release, they feel they really need to impress again. Enter Tranzit and Grief.

I did not like the new game, but I could sense the effort to impress from the developers. The fact that they inserted ideas into the game for our benefits show me that they care. They could have came out with two BO1 type maps and cash in, but they chose to further develope and grow. Albeit in the wrong direction in most hardcore players' views.

Stay tuned my friend, it is not over yet. FPS has come a long way since the Bond days, the same core concept of survival will continue to grow, and be successful.

  3. I know keeping stats is a lot of fun for most people, especially in America. Americans love things manufactured by stats. Fantasy football, sudoku, are among the many things we love due we our hunger for statistical analysis.

I actually like the old system in which you are given three numbers; rounds, points, and kills. The added fun of exploring the mystery of new randoms is watered down by "other" stats like miles traveled and bullets fired.

One stat I like to see is disconnection. Much easier to spot a rage quitter.

  4. Asolutement.

I still love BO1 over any game, strongly recommend it.

Kino and Five are included with the game, with Five being my all time favorite. Although it is more challenging than others.

The only map pack I recommend is Moon. It is a solid map but come with full of extras, including NML and four original maps. NML is arguably the best challenge in the zombies, and a great mini game to shake off funks. Der Riese and Verrukt are very fun maps for classic enthusiasts.

Other map packs are ok, but not necessary.

The only downside to BO1 at this point? Not many solid players to play with. You are left with little kids that need help or high round glitchers.

    Good luck.

  5. The play dates you mentioned sounds fun, I hope they do those again. I think it would be fun to play with people here. I only have PS3... how do I go about joining this team? Is there some kind of try out? I see you're on the east side as well. If you play BO2 zombies on PS3, hit me up!

    About sticking around:

I'm not familiar with forums, so I gave it a few weeks to see if it's for me. A few things that bothered me:

-people posting theories as facts/deceptive posts

-people posting on the wrong place on purpose (just so other people can see their post)

-good posts are few and far between, buried by other posts lacking substance

-people post topics that look like rough drafts, full of grammatical and typographical errors and not well thought out

-ridiculous propositions (I juz thot of soemting mayb we shud withdraw all our points from da bank and den kill ourselves yeah dats gotta be the next step! sombody do it nao!)

-petty insults, arguments (waste of time)

I'm not trying to be a snob but I do proofread before posting. When a post has an excessive amount of errors I find it distracting and it just feels like I'm wasting my time trying to decipher the message the (lazy/inconsiderate) poster is trying to get across.

To be fair, I only observed for a short time and other forums are probably like this as well (probably to a greater extent). Nevertheless, I'm certainly not writing this place off - I will be back from time to time and will try to contribute when I can.

    I'm speechless.

You are the type the really NEED to stick around to help its development. I agree with your assessment on the current state of the users, but I want to see it out of tunnel before I can fully walk away.

Play dates are great, but not too much lately, hopefully we could revive the fun times.

Grimreaper is headed by Way2g00, he is currently on Xbox exclusive and grief heavy. Lemonade is also on Xbox, he is the head of wunder waffles. For PS3 I dunno, Eye has been college bound and no one is really organizing anything. If you are on PS3 feel free to add me, I can introduce a few of my good running mates to you.

  6. I love this map, generally considered the hardest map for co-op. Awful wonder weapon, inconvenient trap locations, lack of areas to roam. The only safe area is the middle war room, and only ONE at a time. Very time consuming and very execution demanding.

Got to 41 once solo, and a few times 37 co-op. Would love to crack 40 co-op before its all said and done.

  7. Very nice intro. Wish you could stick around for more than teammate finding, but I understand.

We used to have many play dates, in which we would set up dates and play challenges together. Those were always fun and see other ways to play this game than counting round totals. Maybe some member can step up and organize more games

You could also try joining team grimreapers with Way, (ps3 or Xbox), or wunderwaffles with lemonade(Xbox). Those guys are great to game with and idols for others to follow.

    Good luck.

  8. Very nicely done. Now I understand why you were UOTM a month ago. Very well organized and very well written. Hard to not give you much credit for it. This is perfect example of what others should strive for.

However, as someone who has minimal knowledge of the main storyline, it was a minor struggle for me to comprehend and link this information to the game itself.

Anyways, just want to give you the proper credit for your work. Potentially the crutch of another UOTM bid.

  9. Hi, welcome to CODZ.

As far as the story line, I strongly recommend Shooter's "Rise of Richtofen", but unable to provide you with the link. No offense to Flame of course, I'm sure his story is top notch as well.

On a side note, who is your favorite story/ theorist?

  10. Hey Scottie.

Having responded to many many intros, those who take the time and effort to introduce in a thoughtful manner usually sticks around. One sentence intros are usually inactive within a month.

    Prove me wrong.

  11. This is top notch. Multiple brains for the work. Very thoughtful and very organized.Very much like the format. A++ for the job.

However, this is more general guidelines then anything. I think someone can be successful and not do everything you mentioned or do everything on the guideline and not be successful. As I was reading this I agree with most of your tips but they are not essential. I think during crunch time instincts will take over and the group better suited to handle chaos will win.

  12. I was playing the new game over at my buddy's house, and I'm starting to come around on BO2. But something hit me as I was killing some zombies on Bus Depot; this game is incredibly not scary for a zombie movie.

I started playing this game on Five and used to always get my ass handed to me in the basement. Something about not being able to see any daylight ignites my claustrophobic for the basement. Verrukt brings a scare factor not found on other maps. The new game has the fog and darkness, but hardly anyone losing sleep over it.

I was in college when Resident Evil 2 came out, and the cinematic effects of a scary movie was very evident. Silent Hill series also drew rave reviews for its scare factor and theatre like effects. I don't know about you but none of the maps to date is as scare as my wife without make up.

I understand completely the game has to be kept a more family rating due to the draw for early teenagers. Treyarch will continue to develop for the majority and they want less scare.

I'm hoping they could implement a little more (actually a lot more) energy toward parts of the future maps being scary. They could make it happen by inserting some Hollywood effects in certain areas of the maps. Don't like the basement being eerie? Don't go there. Fear of hospital morgue? Train by the church instead.

I'm hoping in the future I can be a bit more intimidated by the zombies, not seeing more potential points and kills.

  13. Mickey mouse goes to court to divorce Minnie.

Judge asks "you want divorce from Minnie because she is crazy?"

"No I didn't say she is crazy, I said she is fucking Goofy!!"

A guy visits his parents in the assisted living.

    "Father how are you??"

"Great here, I love it. People have oral sex all the time."

    "Pardon me?"

A neighbor sticks his head in "how are your knees?"

    "Screw you!"

    "Fuck off!"

  14. I guess it depends on your style of gaming.

I love camping with friends, one game holding the trap by double tap with some friends was one of my favorite of all time. But this map is not a map you could run by yourself with others putting you in danger.

Verrukt is a great map, but you have to learn to appreciate it.
