True, true. Oh my gosh, this is not good. Not good at all. Anyone want to join me in The Giant? We need to get to work.

What if you need to finish the SoE Easter Egg in order to do the Giant one? With the soul key or whatever, maybe something changes?

Haven't got round to using it yet (been waiting to try it in co-op, just been playing the Giant mostly) but from what I've seen it looks incredibly OP? Is this the case?

No, its just strong, there is a reason it costs 4000 points. It gives your knife a bonus DOT (damage over time) and converts your grenades into Semtex that will slow zombies in a radius at any round. When you get hit however, a grenade is consumes and the same effect is caused around you, until you run out of grenades. There is also a random spider power up that will occasionally pop up after you buy it, that times out faster than normal power ups, but will give you an extra grenade... an extra "charge" of the perk, if you will.

SO yeah, really useful at any round and in most scenarios, and can get you out of sticky situations... but only up to a cap.

Gotta learn to save a zombie EVERY round to use all 4 beast modes and spend everyone's points efficiently. By doing so you can get PaP open as early as round 1 and start filling up the eggs in the first 5 rounds easily.

Someone watches TheSmithPlays ;) He put out a video showing how to get pap open by round 1 with four people. I dont think its possible with less than three people though

can you elaborate what you are talking about? i've never seen the knife turn green or do any such effect as you stated

I don't have pictures, but at the start of the game you have that normal black knife. As you progress through the game into the higher rounds and you continue to knife zombies (I assume) you come across some sort of like "perma-perk" that gives your knife a green tinge, and it does DOT that seems to act like a poison. I witnessed this particularly when I had an insta kill in the higher rounds, and I was knifing zombies but it wasn't killing them, it was just doing +10 points over time, and then killing them, rather than doing it immediately. No one else has had this effect?

  5. Yes you can.

But in seriousness, I agree with you, and I like how it's balanced in the way that it consumes a grenade every time it goes off, so it's like you have the choice of if you want to use it or not, and you know how many you have left. This new perk is incredibly convenient for getting out of sticky situations.

I noticed so far in my experience having stamin up makes you fly through the map.  It is sooooooooo good and life saver. Almost better than jugg.

Stamin up is a borderline requirement on this map, if not to get around easier then to carry the wonder weapon. It feel like an lmg when you run with it, and stamin up just makes it so much more maneuverable. Jug, QR, and stamin up are the main three for this map, with the fourth slot optional.

  7. Looks like I don't need to do one of these... My suggestion is to change eggs to pods so that it doesn't cause confusion, and put a table of contents at the beginning so people don't have to search through the whole post to find what their looking for. Something like [ctrl F /swords to find swords section] and do that for each section you have. Other than that great job, keep it up.

Also, if you could have pictures of each location of pieces for the shield, as well as pictures of the Cthulhu statues for the swords (and the upgrade areas) stuff like that, visuals help a ton. If it seems like it's going to take up too much space, use the spoiler insert so that the thread doesn't grow monstrously. Just a few suggestions

another edit sorry :/ ask @JakeDuck if you can incorporate his tips into this thread as well so we can have them all in the same place

  8. Hi guys. I'm shirtlesservice, my real name is Josh, and Ive been on this forum for years now. I was inactive for a long time because Black ops 2 zombies just didn't really grab my attention as much as black ops 1 did, so I popped back in occasionally to see the guides people had up, but I haven't really contributed much the past 2 years.

Anyway, having played Shadows of Evil and hit round 52 (so far!) with high hopes for the rest of black ops 3 zombies, I am back and ready to actually post and contribute! whoopee!

I mostly deal in strategy, and I don't do super high runs, but I commit to getting over 50 (atleast 35) on every map. I do however enjoy reading and learning about the storyline and all the theories the community comes up with :) even if I'm not in a position to contribute.

I look forward to meeting, playing with, and getting to know all the new blood on the site,  and reconnecting with all the old guys.

Oh, and here I am I look a little upset, but that's just my face.

    Regards,

    Josh

p.s.  Each area is suited for training, just need to buy appropriate doors/barriers. Also be aware that training in SoE can be multi level, this means you lead a train up stairs/whatnot wait for them to pileup almost on you, then drop and continue,  now all you need is to identify the best "kill zones"  where you can slay the train and still deal with the new spawns on your route as you pile them back up.

I know what you're referring too, I used to run stuff like this on kino or Ascension all the time, but the fact remains that the map outside of the rift is very close quarters. Like I get why there is a trap in every area, but that doesn't make it easy to do.

And pap open early isn't hard, but it's not a simple process either... The barrier to entry is pretty high.
