  1. This map looks just enough like the others to prevent me from caring about it and certainly prevent me from buying it.  I can't believe how little imagination this team has put into the exo-zombies maps and locations.

I just keep telling myself "101 days, 11 hours, 3 minutes, 43 seconds until Black Ops 3 comes to save us"

  2. i mean the weapon balance and the Advanced Supply Drops are the only points i agree with you on.  im not sure what you're smoking about the XMG's and EM1 being the over powered guns though lol..They are both in the bottom third of all guns. The variants though are ridiculous, as the obsidian steed and inferno are without question the best guns in the game, and i am 15th prestige and don't have either yet.  It was their plan all along to introduce the paid advanced supply drops, and purposefully keep the weapons imbalanced in order to persuade players into buying their  RIDICULOUSLY OVER-PRICED ASD's in hopes of getting one of the unbelievably OP guns.  And furthermore the most recent "NEW WEAPONS RELEASE" except wait, no you have to get a variant from a supply drop first.  That I think was one of the most disrespectful moves any game studio has ever done.

Anyway, yeah the game is fun, and it has a few problems like every CoD, but the paid supply drops may be something we can never come back from  as Activision has seen how profitable they are, and likely will force all the studios into something like that from here on out.

  3. Once again, I've been replaying all of the original maps, on WAW, and today me and my friend split screened on Der Riese. On round 24 we were both spamming the box for the DG-2, keep in mind we had already activated the fly trap, played hide and seak, and thrown a monkey into the furnace, and played the song. When we started to go to the box once we obtained a crawler, it did not have the original box jingle, it played the accordian tune that is played when a monkey bomb was thrown. I thought it was a fluke, but through 13 tries at the box, every time it continued to play the various accordian tunes that the monkey bomb makes. Also, idk if it's any correlation, but the body in the building outside the map, that's hanging and only the feet were visible, was swinging, and I've never been able to make it swing before.

    Any thiughts?

P.S.- I've been playing through all day trying to recreate the events so I could capture them and post it as well.

There have often been weird sound effect glitches late in the game on Der Reise when hitting the box.  Lots of times i hear different incorrect sounds when hitting the box late in games.  and the hanging man has always swung from his noose as well when shot.  you can really make him go nuts with the panzerschrek lol

  4. It's not necessary in a solo game to build the staffs, in fact I prefer not to so I don't have to complete the whole EE to get the walls back up.

But in any non solo Origins game, not building the staffs is not an option. It's the literal first thing anyone ever says when they enter the lobby, "I call the ___ staff".

In MOTD, it's again a good system with being able to hold all the parts. Then you get into the retriever, and eventually the Redeemer.

It's not the old way where you hit the box, get some luck and you have the best weapons. There is all the extra steps in BO2, that aren't hard, just tedious.

Spork, 2nd Blunder, AcidGat, Sliquifier, Jet Gun, Punch, Strike Beacons, Staffs. Hell even the Tranzit Galvaknuckles took a part to get too, which just adds to the point that setting up in BO2 just took way too long.

It would be alright if the best weapons were box weapons, and the best melee weapons were wall buys, and if you want the shield, tramp, etc go and build it as a side objective.

But choosing between getting the best weapon, or saving time, is not much of a choice. It's OP vs. UP.

the calling of the staffs pre-game makes my blood boil.  I hate hate hate it so much.  I love the map, but all my co-op games with randoms start off with me in a shit mood because of all the pre-game arguing over who gets what staff.  IT DOESNT MATTER YOU IDIOTS! lol!! :Tears of Joy:

but basically @BestOfAllTime32 i agree with everything you said in that post.  Spot on!

  5. How many years has it been now? since black ops?

You would think someone would have spilled the beans by now on any kino egg.

    Unless....

There's a secret underground society which knows more about zombies than we shall ever know and they keep intel from us. #ILLUMINATI

Getting these pictures analyzed right now for validity. Be back soon see if I can find something

Carbon told us when he started working for Acti in QA that Der Riese still had stuff that hadn't been found.

Im guessing that a lot of it has been found, but it seems so insignificant that nobody felt the need to "announce" that it had been found.  like little items or textures or what not.  just my guess obviously, i know ole Dan wouldn't lead us wrong!

  6. I'm hoping buildables are gone for good but I'm still 99% sure they'll be back.

I detest them completely and find them ultimately annoying. Origins and MotD were way too objective based and not enough survival based. I'm hoping that aspect is toned down in BO3 but considering the campaign team is the head for zombies now I'm sure it will only get worse.

Honestly, I think everything outside of The Giant is going to be disappointing for me. The only map I truly loved and enjoy in BO2  is Nuketown because its not screaming at you 24/7 to do an easter egg. I also really hate how power worked in MotD and Origins. I feel thats one thing that should never have changed.

I agree with a lot of what you said, but i don't think im going to be disappointed by SoE or anything else for that matter.  Zombies has evolved over the years and i'm learning to adjust to what the majority of folks have asked for even if its not what i personally prefer.  That said i really do not like the idea of buildables.  I like buyables, and the random box for weapons and what not.  But the community as a whole seem to really like the buildables so i expect them to return in BO3

  7. I'm not defending it or anything, I'm actually not partaking any stance in this one.

But yeah they never tell, so it's either a sign of a big troll.

And the lack of video is actually evidence that it might be fake, but let's wait for him to reply.

no there is no "either" about it. its not a sign, its a fake image that has no relevance to anything

  8. Deal breaker: scavenge grenades? I won't buy another cod without a basic mechanic of gameplay such as this. From what i understand, Trollarch thinks 'one per life grenades' is stupid, so hopefully that mechanic will be fixed properly, but they don't have a very good track record themselves for doing the right things in a cod game. But BO2 was pretty decent, if they had just ditched nuketown, firing range, and summit (I mean, they knew bo1 mp tanked and was reviled, so leave memories of that crap in the past, please).

Excuse me? BO1 is probably one of the best cods out there. Firing Range is actually a fairly decent edition, and none of the memories are "crap". Just because you personally do not like a game, doesn't mean you need to hate on it. Even if it wasn't good to the general public, it still have more players than Ghosts and Mw3 combined. I can agree with you completely on ditching Summit and Nuketown. They're trash maps. But Firing Range is an amazing map, one of my personal favourites.

BO1 is, by miles and miles, the best COD MP in history IMO.  There was really only one map i didn't like (Cracked)  The weapons were awesome and plentiful.  Cod points and contracts were a blast.  It was fantastic.  The only thing i dislike is how popular nuketown was, because here we are in 2015 and people still want nuketown

  9.

I don't know if the rocket was launched or not.

Are you talking about Kino, or Ascension in the OP?

Also - the second picture - isn't that just saying you need to activate the mainframe from the spawn teleporter?

Kino, the room that looks like Five.

And no it either says Hold X to connect or please wait to cooldown.

thanks for posting this OP if it is legit pics and no photoshop jobs...  It seems strange to me that someone would know how to do this and not tell anybody else how though....

Looks like you never played with Saudis/Kuwaitis, they never share anything.

At risk of sounding jingoistic, I struggle to believe that the secret to Kino's magical easter egg has only been discovered by some Kuwaiti player

  10. Why did people say the xbox one was broken?  I've had mine since November and haven't had even the slightest bit of an issue?  If there was something majorly wrong with it, it has long since been fixed...

Back in E3 2013, they made every mistake possible while revealing the Xbone.

$500, mandatory kinect, had to be always online (this was the biggest issue), in addition to not being able to sell used games among other smaller issues. Basically, that E3, PS4 annihilated it, and everyone wrote off the xbone. Fortunately for microsoft, at the last minute they had common sense and reversed many of those (I believe they dropped kinect and the price later on, though).

hmm i see.  Well it works fine now lol.  And with them adding backward compatibility, I think that will help convince a lot of people to upgrade finally.  geez i still don't understand why they are still releasing games for the 360 and ps3.  i mean i understand from a business perspective, but not from a tech perspective

  11. yeah based on those snap chat images, it seems that this isn't indicating 5 maps at launch, in fact it indicates to me that there will in fact just be the two.  otherwise where are the posters for any other ones?

Yep, it looks like that is the case indeed. If we are only getting one stock map then I have to imagine it will be a pretty big map and there will also be additional game modes to beef it up. Here's hoping we get a hidden, unlockable map like we did with Five.

That would be ideal.  It's clear that they understand the hype for zombies is undeniably higher than any other facet of the game, so I would have to imagine that they wouldn't just show their complete hand to us in one swift punch at comic-con

  12. the fact of the matter is though, that here we stand 4+ years after the map's release, and there is no evidence whatsoever that there is a side quest on kino.  and you say you saw a 2nd teleporter being connected with your own eyes, yet can't prove or recreate it, which is not giving you much credibility @thethiny

that is my issue, im unable.to recreate it, and I have no clue what to do.

my guess is that whatever you saw was not a second teleporter, but either your eyes playing tricks on you or you imagining something, because obviously it would be a rather complex and repeatable set of steps required to do something like that, and not something that you would stumble upon by accident.

Be clear that I am not calling you a liar, but rather that whatever you saw wasn't actually a second teleporter, but something else instead

  13. The previous COD's have sold more on the 4, than the 1, and that was without marketing. Couple that with Sony saying over 50% of current PS4 owners did not own a PS3, and you have quite the migration.

And how exactly would they know this? These type of statistics are based on Sony asking maybe 100 people who were purchasing a PS4 if they ever previously owned a PS3 and base it on that. They don't take into account that some of these people asked are children buying their first ever console and not that they switched sides. They do not reflect the numbers they claim to. Not even close.

His posts have at least been consistent in their lack of validity.

I do have an honest question though for any PS4 owners.  Is there any specific reason you chose a PS4 over an xbox one other than just console loyalty?  maybe someone who bought one that previously only owned an xbox?  They seem identical to me.  except for the controller and the interfaces.

  14. Maybe you should post a screen cap, or a link to the statement on it.

Besides, I happen to remember notable companies changing their minds before.

Nintendo had made a statement once that after their Mewtwo DLC experiment for SSB4, they did not plan on releasing any more DLC characters.

Then they made a trailer for another DLC character.

Then they went ahead and released 3 at once shortly after E3.

Even if they really did say word for word that The Giant will be the only repeated location in zombies in BO3, doesn't mean it is impossible.

I would like to see this quote though, it must be from an interview or panel that I missed.

Granted I have to agree that Der Riese is the only location that really makes sense for a revisit in a rewrite.

Assuming the cutscene and gameplay take place immediately after Richtofen betrays Maxis, then Maxis and Samantha are not yet in control of anything.

What follows is Samantha appearing on Moon and running into the MPD while scared and alone after Richtofen's scientists charge up the MPD. Maxis then will somehow be located from wherever he is and then will be brought to the MPD to try and coax Samantha out, when that fails he will be shot and absorbed into the Moon computer systems through the MPD.

But since none of that has happened yet, Maxis is still alive, and Samantha may or may not have just reached the MPD.

If she has, then Moon might make sense. If she hasn't yet, then Der Riese alone is the only pivot point.

    Anyway, that's my two cents.

  15. They said they weren't planned on doing any more "revisited" maps.

They said they weren't planned on doing any more "revisited" maps.

If they were, they wouldn't admit it right there and then.

No they flatout said that on the agenda there is little to no hope of another remade map for black ops 3. Why would they? There's only going to be a single zombies map after the giant released with DLCs 1,2, and 3 at the LEAST. Possibly/Probably DLC 4 as well. Why would they piss people off with a "Sorry mate, we weren't original enough to bring you a new map, so.. HERE'S KINO AGAIN!

Treyarch know they can make lots of money with Zombies. Look at the special edition for Black Ops 3. It's mainly Zombies-orientated. I'm not saying that any of the map packs will have remade Zombie maps instead of new ones, but nothing's stopping them from releasing old maps as micro-transactions, and if they think they can make money from them, they'll do it.

except for the fact that they literally said word for word that they weren't

  16. the fact of the matter is though, that here we stand 4+ years after the map's release, and there is no evidence whatsoever that there is a side quest on kino.  and you say you saw a 2nd teleporter being connected with your own eyes, yet can't prove or recreate it, which is not giving you much credibility @thethiny

  17. They were pretty obviously referring to literal Easter eggs, as in the original meaning of the term in gaming.  Little items or messages or pictures hidden amongst the maps, and not in our evolved meaning of "major multi-step side quest with reward"

They just like to keep the community playing
