If you experience any of these issues, we ask that you please follow any guidance provided and file feedback with Report a Problem.
Audio

- Does changing the audio format resolve the issue? If yes, what was the format before and after?
- Does rebooting resolve the issue?
- What does your setup include? Equipment, layout, etc.
- And any additional information you can provide to reproduce the problem.
- Note: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Be sure to include as much information as possible:
Game Card
- Some users have reported an unexpected black screen when opening the game card or selecting “Show in Microsoft Store” after it has opened, and we are investigating.
Networking
- We are investigating reports of an issue where the console may not connect to their network as expected on boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
- Workaround: Wait a minute for the connection to establish. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center or the guide. Learn more here: How to restart or power cycle your Xbox console.
As always, be sure to use Report a problem to keep us informed of any issues you encounter. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.

Grand Theft Auto V is a beast that never stops growing. The open-world sandbox has just reached another milestone in sales. Further solidifying it as one of the best-selling games of all time.
The news comes from a Take-Two earnings report, where it was revealed that GTA 5 has sold another five million copies in the last three months. It has now sold 195 million copies since its release in 2013. Below is a graph courtesy of X/Twitter user @DeekeTweak, showcasing how the game has grown year after year.
GTA V has now shipped over 195 million copies. pic.twitter.com/YPm2PM2Lpy
— Derek Strickland (@DeekeTweak) February 8, 2024That was one of many things to come out of the earnings report. It was also revealed that its other shooter, Red Dead Redemption 2, has sold over 61 million units since its release in 2018. This is especially notable because the game hasn't received the same level of post-launch support as GTA Online. But it shouldn't come as a surprise because the game reached multiple new player-count peaks in 2023.
It's also worth mentioning that Rockstar is currently working on GTA 6. The game doesn't have a release date, but it's scheduled to drop in 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Not much is known about the story other than that it will follow a woman named Lucia and an unnamed man in Vice City.
For more Rockstar-related news, check out our story detailing how the Ubisoft CEO said it's not scared of GTA 6.

Satirical sci-fi shooter sequel Helldivers 2 has got off to a solid start on Steam, with today's launch propelling it to the number three position on the platform's best-sellers list, while its concurrent players have hit over 64,000 in less than a day. However, its reception has been mixed thanks to a range of issues on PC (it's also out on PS5), and developer Arrowhead Game Studios has now responded, saying fixes are on the way.
Helldivers 2 - which follows the same co-op template as its well-received predecessor, albeit with a switch from top-down perspective to third-person - has so far settled on a Steam rating of "mixed" after over 5,300 reviews, with players highlighting a range of launch-day woes.
Chief among criticisms are complaints about persistent crashes, while others have singled out Helldivers 2's kernel level GameGuard anti-cheat software as cause for concern. Then there's ire directed towards servers and matchmaking issues, PC optimisation, as well as complaints around Helldivers 2's monetisation - which includes a battle pass and premium currency in-game shop, despite Helldivers 2's its £34.99/$39.99 USD price tag.

GameSpot reviewer Richard Wakeling awarded the game an 8/10, saying its gameplay "remains true to From Software's original vision, but the whole experience has been refined to welcome an audience that cut its teeth on the studio's most recent work."

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone is live, returning the popular Fortune's Keep map to the battle royale. In addition to some minor map changes, there's also a new Easter egg and a few new features that give you a chance to get your hands on the Ray Gun from Zombies mode.
How to get the Ray Gun on Fortune's Keep
Season 2 is themed around Zombies and The Walking Dead, so this was great timing for the developer to add in the most iconic Wonder Weapon from Call of Duty's Zombies. There are a few different ways you can try to get your hands on the Ray Gun, but not these are not going to be guaranteed.
Eradication contract
One of the new contract types for the season is the limited-time Eradication contract. This isn't a difficult contract, but it's also not guaranteed to reward you with a Ray Gun for completion. If you have an Eradication contract near you, grab it and follow the prompts.
It requires you to follow highlighted footprints to a corpse, and then mark an infested stronghold for you to clear. This works just similar to Zombies mode. Shoot the glowing cysts, a marked HVT armored zombie will spawn after, and killing it will complete the contract and drop rewards.
This is still a good contract for loot, even if the HVT doesn't drop a Ray Gun. You usually get rewards like a durable gas mask, killstreaks, cash, or armor. It's also possible this could drop the The Wunderwaffe DG-2 Wonder Weapon from Zombies.
Rogue Signal public event
Season 2's new Rogue Signal public event can randomly happen once during your match. This will give all teams the same objective. It's usually a challenge to get the most kills, deal the most damage, or collect the most cash. All teams have 90 seconds to participate, and if you can perform in the top three, you'll get rewarded with cash and a marked loot cache.
These usually contain a Wonder Weapon, but this doesn't seem to be a guarantee either. Your chances do seem higher with the Rogue Signal event than the Eradication event.
Complete an Easter egg
Lastly, another fun way to try and score a Ray Gun is to complete an Easter egg in the underground labs.
Head down into the underground tunnels of Ground Zero. There's more than one entrance, but the easiest path is to use the tunnel entrance at the Graveyard POI. Drop down into the tunnels, and this should lead you into a secret laboratory, and you'll see a wall marked as B1.
B1 section of the lab Drop down into the nearby elevator shafts here. Take the path to the right, and you'll reach a dark area with another B on the wall. Here there is a red light and a small gap you can squeeze through. This puts you to a level with a puzzle room.
Squeeze through this gap marked as SEC B The puzzle is a flooded room with electricity, so obviously you want to mantle on top of the crates and pipes, using the environment to stay above water and hit three switches. The switches are flashing red, so they aren't difficult to spot. Mantle around and hit all three switches to turn off the power, giving you access to a room of loot. If the lights are already green and not flashing red, someone else has beaten you to the puzzle, but you might be able to fight them for the loot.
Flooded room with green light and electric off Once the water is no longer electrified, head back the way you came. The flooded portion closest to the door will have an underground area you can swim through to reach a room of loot. This usually has plenty of cash, weapons, and high-tier supply boxes. It also seems to have a high chance at offering a Ray Gun.
While none of these are guaranteed, they are all really fun ways to get geared up with good loot in Fortune's Keep.
It's worth noting that the Ray Gun can't be resupplied with ammo. Wonder Weapons are loaded with 20 shots, and likely because they are so powerful with only one or two shots needed to knock your opponent.
If you're looking to score more loot in your next match of Warzone, make sure to check out our full guide to unlocking the throne vault on Fortune's Keep.

Microsoft could reportedly be taking many of its games multiplatform in the future, but if that does happen, Ubisoft's CEO said it wouldn't have much of an impact on the industry at large.
During a Q&A session as part of Ubisoft's most recent third-quarter earnings call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot was asked for his comment on the recent Microsoft reports and what effect such a move might have on Ubisoft's business.
Guillemot could not officially comment or confirm the rumors, but said Microsoft would "decide what's best for them" in regard to publishing its first-party games on competing platforms like the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. As for what kind of impact such a move might have, according to Guillemot, not much.
"What you have to look at, anyway, Activision Blizzard used to be multiplatform, so it would have an impact, but it's not a huge impact on the industry," Guillemot said.
As Guillemot points out, many games released by Activision Blizzard, which is now part of Microsoft following its $69 billion acquisition of the company, have long been multiplatform. That includes franchises like Call of Duty, Diablo, and Overwatch. The only real change would be potential Xbox franchises like Gears of War, the recently released Starfield, or upcoming games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle coming to competing platforms after having previously been exclusive to Xbox consoles and PC.
What Microsoft's actual plans entail are still a mystery for now, but more information is set to be revealed next week as part of a "business update" outlining the company's "vision for the future of Xbox," according to Microsoft Gaming CEO and Xbox head Phil Spencer.
Guillemot was additionally asked for his thoughts on how Ubisoft's lineup would fare going up against the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 in 2025. He said big releases like GTA 6 are good for the industry and bring people back to gaming, and "more people in the market means more money spent across not just GTA 6 but other games, too."

Subnautica 2 developer Unknown Worlds has moved to address fan concerns following publisher Krafton's announcement that the underwater survival sequel will be a multiplayer title adopting a "game-as-a-service model".
Krafton made the claims in its latest financial earnings report, which also brought the news Subnautica 2 - the third game in Unknown Worlds' series, following on from the acclaimed 2018 original and its 2021 continuation Subnautica: Below Zero - would be out this year. And with fans beginning to express displeasure at the apparent swerve away from the solo, self-contained survival action of previous Subnautica games, Unknown Worlds quickly sprung into action, offering clarification on its blog.
Starting with the multiplayer announcement, that much is apparently true, with Subnautica 2 confirmed to be playable co-operatively with up to four players. However, Unknown Worlds stresses the sequel "is not multiplayer-focused", and that co-op is "entirely optional", with players also able to play the game entirely solo if they choose.
-
Unknown Worlds has revealed that the next Subnautica game will not be a live-service game, despite some earlier reports claiming that it was.
"In reference to 'Games-as-a-Service,' we simply plan to continually update the game for many years to come, just like the previous two Subnautica games," Unknown Worlds said in a statement on its website. "Think our Early Access update model, expanded. No season passes. No battle passes. No subscription."
The studio clarified that players can enjoy the game as a single-player experience. While there is co-op, it is an entirely optional way to play. It also seems like the game will not launch until 2025 at the earliest, as early access is not planned for 2024. However, Unknown Worlds will provide more information later this year.
The claims that the next Subnautica game would be a live-service title seems to have come from an older version of Krafton's earnings documents. What looks to be a now amended version of the earnings document uploaded to Krafton's investor site does not include the mention of games-as-a-service.
Back in 2022, Unknown Worlds announced that it was working on a new Subnautica game.
Subnautica: Below Zero is the second and latest entry in the series. Before that, Subnautica launched in 2018. In GameSpot's Subnautica review, Brett Todd said, "Subnautica's story, scares, and beautifully rendered underwater setting makes it one of the most fascinating survival games around."

Overwatch 2 Season 9: Champions launches on February 13, bringing massive gameplay changes and an overhaul of the competitive mode. The gameplay changes include an increase to all heroes' health pools and an increase in size for all projectiles.
Season 9 of Overwatch 2 is shaking up the gameplay of the hero shooter in a major way. Detailed in a press release, the biggest changes are to hero health pools and projectile sizes.
Every hero is getting an increase in health, based on their current health:
- 150-175 HP heroes: increase of 25 HP
- 200-300 HP heroes: increase of 50 HP
- 300+ HP heroes: increase of 75-100 HP
That's not the only change impacting heroes' health and survivability. As previously announced, all heroes now have a passive heal. Damage and Tank heroes will gain 20 HP per second after not taking damage for five seconds, with the healing kicking in after 2.5 seconds for Supports. There is a new passive for Damage heroes, which reduces enemies healing by 20% while they are taking damage, which should discourage Supports from "pocketing" players by staying with them and constantly healing them.
The change to projectiles should help balance out the increase of health, making it slightly easier to land shots across all characters. These increases are coming for both hitscan weapons and travel-time projectiles, but some of the larger projectiles, like Reinhardt's Firestrike, won't get an increase. For those heroes, they will get an additional balance at some point in the future, although Blizzard wants to see how these changes play out first. Below you can see an infographic with the exact details.
Slower travel-time projectiles are getting the largest size increase. On top of these massive gameplay changes, Season 9 of Overwatch 2 also marks a reset for the Competitive mode. Not only is everyone getting a true rank reset, but the way changes are tracked is changing too. To start, there is a new highest rank called Champion, replacing the Top 500 rank that previously held that spot. Once you get your new starting rank after completing 10 placement matches, progress towards the next rank, either up or down, will be displayed on a progress bar. Previously you had to wait until certain milestones to get an update on your rank.
There are now new weapon skins to unlock with Competitive Points, which are the Jade skins. All previous Competitive Points earned will become legacy points, which can be used to unlock the gold guns already in the game. Jade weapons can only be unlocked from 2024 Competitive Points, which are earned for playing matches, with more awarded for winning.
Overwatch 2 Season 9: Champions arrives on February 13. Blizzard recently released a trailer for the new season, showing off some of the new cosmetics and teasing a Cowboy Bebop crossover.

Overwatch 2 has had a rough road following the early success of the first game. That game, which easily earned Game Informer's Game of the Year in 2016, started with such promise and a massive, enthusiastic audience, but following the 2019 announcement of Overwatch 2, support for the original Overwatch floundered, and so, too, did the community. Last year's release of Overwatch 2's PvE elements in its Invasion update pushed the hero shooter back in the right direction, but it didn't make the splash Blizzard had hoped for. With Overwatch 2 Season 9, which kicks off next week, Blizzard is making a ton of sweeping behind-the-scenes changes to make the game more approachable for players.
Players of all modes will notice updates to how moment-to-moment gameplay, encounters, and matches as a whole play out. Hit consistency is being improved, with projectiles growing in size; those characters that don't have projectile-based weapons or abilities and, therefore, receive no benefits from this change will receive additional balance updates. Those changes to non-projectile heroes will happen at a later date so the development team can assess how significant the projectile changes are in a live environment.
Additionally, all heroes will have more health starting with Season 9. Any hero with 150 to 175 HP will receive a 25 HP increase, while heroes with 200 to 300 HP will get an extra 50 HP. Meanwhile, tanks with 300 HP or more will receive between 75 and 100 additional HP at the start of Season 9. On top of that, all heroes can now regenerate health passively after five seconds of not taking damage, while support heroes can now start passively healing at two and a half seconds. To even it out, if a character is taking damage, the amount they heal while being dealt damage is reduced by 20 percent.
The ninth season of Overwatch 2 introduces massive changes to the structure of competitive play. First up, competitive ranks are receiving a reset, with all players getting 10 new placement matches to play through and calibrate their new starting rank. Starting with Season 9, rank is updated after every match, with a progression bar giving visual feedback for how much progress was gained or lost with each match. When you get through the opening battle sequence in Skull and Bones, you'll find yourself on a small raft with some crewmates who pulled you out of the water after your wreck. You can sail your new ship to a quest marker on the map, which is a tiny island full of other pirates. However, along your way there, you might notice a location at the bottom of a sinking ship that requires a crowbar to enter.
Obviously, after nearly drowning, you don't have a crowbar or any other tools at your disposal. So where you can acquire a crowbar to open the hole in the sinking ship? Keep reading the guide below to find out.
Finding a Crowbar in Skull and Bones
Fortunately, a crowbar is not a tool you have to work too hard for in Skull and Bones. If you go past the sinking ship and head to your first quest marker, you'll talk to the Pirate Chief Officer on the island. The officer isn't too happy about your ship, the Exeter, being defeated and sunk by the British Fleet. He is still willing to give you the location of Sainte-Anne, though, which is considered "pirate paradise."
Completing this mission will earn you the crowbar you need. In exchange for this information, the officer needs you to find the Kingpin's contraband, which was lost at sea when the Exeter sunk. If you look at the contract for this quest, called "A Pirate's Deal," you'll notice that the reward for completing it is some fish, planks, and a crowbar. So all you need to do is find the contraband, head back to the officer, and you'll receive a crowbar as a reward.
The Kingpin's contraband location
You're required to find six Explosive Firearms and six Opulent Rum to complete the A Pirate's Deal quest in Skull and Bones. After you're done talking with the officer on the island, head back to your raft and go to the quest marker on your map.
You'll find all of the Kingpin's contraband near a rock with some broken ship parts on it about 500 meters away from the island, as seen in the screenshot below.
What's a pirate without loot? You can loot all of the contraband by going to the spot shown in the screenshot and pressing the interact key when prompted. Then, once your quest log says you've acquired all of the necessary contraband, head back to the island, talk with the officer, and you'll receive your crowbar.
Coincidentally enough, your next quest objective is to use the crowbar to break into the sinking ship you passed earlier, so you have to head back there anyway.

Helldivers 2 is off to a strong start following its launch on PC and PlayStation 5, but the game's popularity is also causing a variety of issues that has Swedish developer Arrowhead Game Studios in "crisis mode."
The good news is a fix addressing the most serious of the issues seems to be on its way. Helldivers 2 game director Mikael Eriksson said in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) that a patch improving matchmaking and the "most frequent" crashing issues on PC is being tested, and if successful, will soon be rolled out as a hotfix to PC players on Steam before coming to PS5.
A message to the HELLDIVERS 2 community from Game Director Mikael Eriksson: pic.twitter.com/LC38UgcSQV
— Arrowhead Game Studios (@ArrowheadGS) February 8, 2024In a post on the game's official Discord, Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt said the studio is working hard to address matchmaking bugs, performance problems, crashes on PC, and other issues that have resulted from the launch of the Sony published third-person co-op shooter.
"I just wanted to let you all know we're working as hard as we can on resolving these, the volume of players exposed some shenanigans in the system that went past many, many, many hours of testing," Pilestedt said.
For the time being, Pilestedt recommended players group up with friends and avoid using the game's currently broken quick play matchmaking, as joining friends is working as intended.
Helldivers 2 is currently sitting at an average user review score of "Mixed" on Steam, with many players citing the aforementioned problems as the reason for their negative review. Despite those problems, the game is as of writing the number-one-selling game on Steam by revenue, and reached a concurrent player peak of more than 64,000 players on PC shortly after launch, according to SteamDB.
In our recent Helldivers 2 preview, we said the Starship Troopers-inspired shooter has the potential to be a great co-op game and enjoyed the chaotic fun it provided, but questioned its staying power given there are already a plethora of live-service shooters on the market. Arrowhead confirmed ahead of launch via a PlayStation Blog post that Helldivers 2 will receive free post-launch content updates that will see the universe of the game "grow and change" while offering new tools, challenges, and threats for players to overcome.

Ubisoft is not afraid of the upcoming launch of GTA 6 in 2025. CEO Yves Guillemot said when a game on the size and scale of GTA releases, it can help bring people back to gaming. And more people in the market means more money spent across not just GTA 6 but other games, too.
"What we've seen in the past is each time there is a big release like GTA, there are more and more people coming back to the industry and that helps other games to sell as well," he said during Ubisoft's latest earnings briefing.
He said Ubisoft is unaware of when in 2025 GTA 6 will be release, but suggested it is likely to be closer to FY26 (April 1, 2025-March 31, 2026) than FY 2024 (April 1, 2024-March 31, 2025).
In general, Guillemot said a big game like GTA 6 coming out is "actually positive for the market," going on to note that Ubisoft posted strong earnings results when GTA 5 launched in 2013.
GTA 6 was officially announced in December 2023 with a first trailer that confirmed the series is headed back to Vice City for the newest installment. The game is coming in 2025, but a specific release date has not yet been announced.
As for Ubisoft, the company has a big release coming up this year with Star Wars Outlaws. It's an open-world game made by Massive, the team behind The Division series. Ubisoft will share more details on its future games in May.

Media Molecules ended support for Dreams in September 2023, essentially ending the PS4 game while the studio began focusing on its next project. Dreams never saw a native PS5 release--although it is playable via backwards compatibility--and the game was never ported to PC, platforms where its audience could have potentially grown.
Several months later, reports began circulating that PS5 and PC ports were in development and that these versions of Dreams were nearing completion, but these plans were abandoned after severe layoffs at Media Molecule. The Dreams community hasn't given up on these ports yet, and in an effort to convince Sony that the game deserves a second chance, the fanbase has put together a highlight reel of some of the most impressive projects created inside of the game-making platform.
Dreams is one of the greatest things to happen to PlayStation, yet it is in danger of being forgotten.
— Dreams Central (@Dreams_Central) February 8, 2024
The revolutionary technology and the power it brings to creators is like nothing else.
Dreams deserves to live on. #MadeInDreams pic.twitter.com/KjRW2RYnfZIf you followed news on Dreams after it was first released in early 2020, you'll be aware of just how versatile and flexible it is. Creators developed their own games like Ancient Dangers: A Bat's Tale and animated series like Noguchi's Bell, and the software could be learned through approachable tutorials. Game development inside of Dreams was also surprisingly social, allowing hobbyists and developers to more easily collaborate on projects and share their creations.
"Dreams is a refined constructor for building a wide variety of games, and a community-centric showcase where others can play them," Richard Wakeling wrote in GameSpot's Dreams review. "It's a stunning achievement that encourages limitless creative expression, a place where people can come together, collaborate, and explore each other's imaginations. It's a tool for the fools who dream, and one of the most innovative releases in years."

Assassin's Creed: Codename Red - which takes the long-running series to feudal Japan - will launch before the end of Ubisoft's current financial year next March, CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed, with the publisher's open-world Star Wars Outlaws still targeting a release in 2024.
Guillemot shared the news as part of Ubisoft's latest earnings results - for the third quarter of fiscal 2023-24 - in which he touted a "very promising line-up" for the year to come. That line-up includes a 2024 release for Massive Entertainment's highly anticipated Star Wars Outlaws, suggesting Ubisoft isn't expecting any further slippage after it was reportedly delayed out of the publisher's current fiscal year - ending 31st March 2024 - and into the next.
The bigger news, though, is confirmation that Ubisoft's next blockbuster-sized Assassin's Creed game - currently only known as Codename Red, despite confirmation of its feudal Japan setting - will be coming in fiscal year 2025, meaning a release before 31st March next year. Historically, the Assassin's Creed franchise has avoided the spring launch window, suggesting Red could also be targeting 2024 - as previously reported - unless Ubisoft is breaking with tradition.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone is live, returning the popular Fortune's Keep map to battle royale. Similar to the Vanguard-era version of the map, there's a new vault Easter egg to complete, and here's how you can unlock it.
How to complete the throne vault Easter egg
You'll want to head to the map's Keep point of interest, which is the main part of the castle. Head into the courtyard and enter the large throne room, and you'll see a wall-mounted torch on each side of the throne.
Throne and torches First, you need to light both torches. Then hop on to the seat of the throne to trigger a new staircase to open up on the floor. A spiral staircase leads you down into a puzzle vault room.
Inside the vault room there are several more torches to light, but you don't want to do that step just yet. Instead, head to the back of the vault room to find a circular vault door. Above the door are three small vent holes. You need to use fire on the holes above the door to reveal more of the puzzle. This is easily done by using some of the molotovs or thermite sticks littered around the room.
Vault puzzle door after using fire Hitting the vents above the door with the fire from a molotov or thermite causes circles to light up on the door. The order the lights show on the door represents the specific torches you need to light around the room. This looks to be a random order for each match. The vault door opens once you've lit the correct torches.
The vault gives you access to orange high-tier loot boxes, plenty of killstreaks, and gold rarity guns. Completing this Easter egg also earns you a permanently unlocked reward with the Genus Firmamentum large weapon decal.
Vault reward - Large weapon decal Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer also received new Season 2 content, which includes a new Ninja perk vest, and here's how you can unlock it.

Ubisoft has revealed that it will have announcements to share about its future games lineup this May. As part of the company's latest earnings briefing, Ubisoft said the company will reveal the "extent" of its lineup for fiscal 2024-25 in May. This could line up with the company's scheduled full-year earnings announcement scheduled for May.
So far, confirmed releases for FY 2024-25 include Assassin's Creed codename Red and Star Wars Outlaws on the premium side and The Division Resurgence and Rainbow Six Mobile in the free-to-play space. Ubisoft's FY 2024-25 runs April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025. There is no announced release date yet for Assassin's Creed codename Red, but we do know that Star Wars Outlaws is gearing up for release later this year.
In 2023, Ubisoft held its Ubisoft Forward event in June. Whether or not there will be another Ubisoft Forward event this year is unknown, however.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said the company's upcoming games lineup is looking "very promising."
"We look forward to revealing the full extent of the creative capabilities of Ubisoft's teams, who are working hard to make these games a success that will live up to gamers' expectations," Guillemot said.
Some of Ubisoft's big releases in the past quarter included Assassin's Creed Mirage and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Ubisoft did not share any sales data for either title, but said Frontiers of Pandora is now positioned to be a "long-term seller." Rainbow Six Siege posted gains during the quarter, with playtime up almost 60% year-over-year, Ubisoft said.
Ubisoft did not share any hard sales data on Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, but said the game "illustrates Ubisoft's capacity to revive iconic brands."
Ubisoft's next big release is the long-awaited Skull & Bones, which releases on February 16. Anyone can try the game sooner, though, as a public beta is going on now.

In Nexus Mods' words: "A beast of monstrous proportions is approaching." Today, the mod distribution site - home to some of the best community made video game additions (looking at you Shrek and Thomas) - will hit 10bn downloads.
To put that milestone into some perspective, "if every download were a footstep, you could walk to the moon 11 times, or walk The Seven Thousand Steps to High Hrothgar 4,161,464 times," Nexus Mods said.
Meanwhile, if you are more like me and find it easier to envision things with pizza slices, if Nexus Mods celebrated each download with a slice of thick crust Margherita with extra cheese, "this pizza would cover 15 times the size of Manhattan Island". These are facts you simply knead to know to appreciate how monumental this milestone really is.

JLab is running a nice sale for Valentine's Day, giving you a chance to snag two JBuds Mini Wireless Earbuds for just $60 (down from $80). Free shipping is included with your purchase, and the earbuds come with a 30-day return policy and a two-year warranty. That's a lengthy warranty for such a budget-friendly pair of Bluetooth earbuds.
JBuds Mini Wireless Earbuds - 2 pairs for $60
As you'd expect, there are a few caveats to the deal. For one, the deal isn't eligible with Prime. The earbuds store page allows you to check out directly through JLabs or get funneled through Amazon Prime--to get the deal, you'll need to stay on the JLabs website and click the "Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off" banner. This will automatically apply the discount after adding two JBuds Minis to your cart.
Also, note that standard shipping is free, but your package may not arrive in time for Valentine's Day. If you want your earbuds here by February 14, you'll likely need to pay extra for shipping. Four of the five colors are eligible for the savings, including traditional matte black shown below and more colorful variants like Aqua Teal, Sage Gray, and Hot Pink.
JBuds Mini Bluetooth earbuds The JBuds Mini are the smallest earbuds in the JLab catalog, offering 5.5 hours of playtime on a single charge (20 hours with the included charging case), support for multiple devices, and the option to customize audio settings with the JLab mobile app. If you're looking for a pair of earbuds to travel with that you won't have to fuss over, these could do the trick. The charging case has a fabric loop that links to your keychain or backpack.
If you're looking for something different, JLab has a bunch of other products on sale ahead of Valentine's Day. Here are a few of our favorite deals, including headsets, headphones, and a bunch of additional earbuds.

After an hour or so in Skull and Bones, you'll arrive in Sainte-Anne and get the chance to build your first ship. While your tiny raft with a sail can get where you need to go, you need a proper ship if you want to fully experience what Skull and Bones has to offer. Before you can christen your new ship, though, the Shipwright at Sainte-Anne needs you to gather some supplies. One of those supplies is a resource called Acacia, and it's tricky to obtain.
To see how you can acquire Acacia and get on with your ship building in Skull and Bones, take a look at the guide below.
How to harvest Acacia in Skull and Bones
Once you're done talking with the Shipwright about your new ship, you can check your map to see several new markers with logs in them have popped up. These markers indicate where you can find Acacia around the map, so you need to set sail and head towards one of the markers.
I recommend choosing the one I marked in the screenshot below, as it has all of the Acacia you'll need:
Before you head out of Sainte-Anne, though, make sure you have crafted a Saw at the Carpenter's store. This is the only way to harvest Acacia. You want to also ensure your Saw is on your ship and not in your warehouse.
Once you have arrived at a location with Acacia, you need to get as close to the shore as possible. Acacia is a tree with a light trunk and bright green leaves, and it shines brighter than other trees that surround it. As you get close to the shoreline where a group of Acacia trees are, a prompt should appear on screen that says "Harvest Acacia."
However, the trees can be a little finicky, as some of them don't make the prompt appear. I had to try a couple of different locations before I was able to harvest any Acacia. If this happens to you, just keep moving from marker to marker until you find one that lets you harvest the tree.
Once you're able to harvest some Acacia, let your Saw do the work and you'll soon have some of the resource in your inventory. You'll likely have to go to a couple of different locations to get the eight necessary Acacia you need to build your ship. At the marker I outlined above, there are a few plots of Acacia trees along the shoreline you can harvest, which give you more than enough.
There are also some random Acacia logs floating in the water near this location, though. You can simply pass over them in your ship and press the interact button to add the resource to your inventory.
In any case, as long as you visit enough of the Acacia markers on your map, you'll eventually have what you need to return to Sainte-Anne, go to the Shipwright, and start construction on your new ship in Skull and Bones.
