POINT OF CONTACT Within Die Maschine’s intro cutscene and reveal, we are shown multiple shots of an “anomaly” or “rift”. Whilst we cannot say for 100% certainty, it is more than likely that this is the Dark Aether’s breach into our world. CORRUPTING FORCE As discussed in a prior post of mine, The Dark Aether is an eldritch force of chaos and of entropy, and within it lie all the beings formerly existing within the Aether. Just as with the Banished Keepers before them, these beings

  4. This is just a short talk about the role of fungi in Zetsubou no Shima (I was bored during my lecture). Something you should know about fungi is their ability to mutate, very fast. As they reproduce with thousands of spores, there always is a high chance that one or several of the spores is genetically randomly mutated. If this mutant is beneficial to a certain (hazardous) environment, the mutant will thrive and reproduce even more. This is also why it is so difficult to develop fungicides to fight pathogenic fungi: resistance is not uncommon under mutants. Another example of a pre

  6. Great thread, beautiful wording also, it was a true pleasure to read. I feel obligated to add a link to @clueless's post about the Machine seen in the trailer and how it connects to the Dark Aether, as it essentially feels like a pt. 2 on this topic. With Earth's connection to the Aether being vanished, the only entrance left seems to be the one in the oposite direction: the Dark Aether. I just keep wondering in what applications we have encountered this realm in the 'prior' story. It seems like in many cases, we were already dealing with the dark variant of

  8. Have you ever wanted to experience the Call of Duty Zombies storyline as a narrative, interweaving all the little details to make a story that can be read anywhere? The CoD Zombies Storybook is an anthology project, telling every facet of the zombies storyline in a narrative fashion for easier reading and understanding, with some artistic liberties and theories thrown in to keep the story cohesive. What we’d call paranormal or magic is “merely” based on their highly advanced technology. The Chariots of the Gods are actually flying saucers based on an anti-gravity mechanism, the Gods sudden appearance on certain locations can be explained by teleportation and matter transference. Raining Hell and the Apocalypse might be referring to a thermonuclear war and weapons and staves with seemingly magic abilities are actually based on electromagnetism. 16. Thanks for putting the map image here! Perhaps Pernells initial idea for making Broken Arrow completely government-independant was for his own need, but it caused the company to stay that independant after his demise. It's like Group 935 without a main funder, or perhaps with the private sector (rich folks and other companies) as the main funders, rather than any state. I think it is sure that Broken Arrow gained much more facilities and stations after the 60's, and the company might've gone totally foot-lose and rough without any governmental check on it (perhaps hence the unethical experimen

  17. We often perceive Broken Arrow as something that falls under the American government, and thereby view cases in which the organization is involved from an American point of view. How could they have gained access to China, an enemy of the US? Did they acquired the mining town at "Buried" via supporting the anti-communist UNITA rebels in Angola? Why is there Russian influence in Tranzit? These are all issues that we may view differently, upon reading the following document: Truth is, Broken Arrow never fell under the American government. It was an initiative by the Pentagon, yes,

  18. The initiative was corrupt from the get-go, Pernell just hit the right chords with the Pentagon at a good moment to propose the initiative. He's wanted to take Sam's power for his own needs (albeit at first for a good cause, something something good intentions) and tried keeping the US government and DoD as far out of his work as possible because of their less-than-desirable actions would mostly be denied by them or be repossesed if abused (killing soldiers to power the APD in the former, taking the Elemental Shard in the latter). It only grew more corrupt as Pernell himself was more afflicted

  22. I mentioned this in the Discord a while back, but figured this is an appropriate moment for this - if the voltage required for the Ray Gun is between 220-230V and uses two (Cold Cell) Batteries in series (above picture is how they are put into the Ray Gun when reloading), that means each battery has about 115V. Cheeky Treyarch. Since plasma is superheated gas, it's not too far of a reach to say the high voltage overheats the gas as it leaves the cell, creating the plasma discharge. Plasma coloration is based on its ionized energy level; that is, other elements involved in the plasma wi

  23. It is probably real cheap, so why not? Here's what to expect; Ghosts was not popular, but I found it to be decent. It has good bots, like BO2 did, these are the best 2 games for functional bots on CoD. Offline bot games can be fun. I make Infected games with bots where the survivors have Sentry, Vulture, and Loki (Loki; I call in the Armored Squadmate and a care package, wait until Squadmate spawns, then cancel Loki because the bots will hide while it's up, so you want them to come gets shredded by Mr. Sentryperson). I've asked if cheats were okay these days, and given the green light, I'll give some tips. ####### Feral sight all match: In the first area, buy the Sniper and fire at the large neon sign. In a timely manner shoot 3 shots at L O L on either side of the sign to get LOL to appear on your screen. If it doesn't work, give it a few seconds and try again. It must be with basic ammo and no attachments on the sniper, usually hitting the background color is fine, you do not need to hit the neon tubes them

  27. I like that idea how the random weapon principle could work the same as the Mystery Box. Adding to this, an inscription of the KT-4 / Masamune reads "731細菌戦の研究機関", roughly translating to "Research Institution 731 of Bacterial Warfare". Unit 731 is an umberella organization under which Division 9 falls, but I found it interesting they explecitely mentioned 'bacterial'. Several Unit 731 divisions have created experimental weapons regarding bacteria, such as the Bubonic Plague, Anthrax and Syphilis. I found it interesting they decided to add this name of 'Bacterial Warfare' on a weapo

If you'd prefer to watch and/or listen, you can find the companion video here Introduction With the announcement of ‘Die Maschine’, we received our formative introduction to the Zombies Storyline of Black Ops Cold War - a sequel to our previous, ten year story - dubbed ‘The Dark Aether Storyline’. For those who were paying a modicum of attention, the notion of a “Dark Aether” should be at least somewhat familiar, as it is referenced explicitly in the ending of Tag Der Toten. This, however, is far from the first explicit mention - and by delving into the realm of allusion and

  34. PINNAZ Sir! Congratulations on all your hard research and theories. You are well respected by the community and myself and have been an inspiration for me and many others since the beginning of Green Run. Being mentioned in Spiders NGTZombies Tranzit Secrets Series along side with you gave me the drive for a dedicated YouTube channel now and the will to keep looking when the world says there is nothing there. Thank you again PINNAZ for everything you do and the painstaking research you share with the community to keep the search alive! Your friend, DjTechnicsZRT

Absolutely great job. @Nvortex: It's research that creates a more stable connection between China's integration in the storyline other than "a pylon located nearby for the Easter Egg". The original research began when there were audio transcripts discussing the Great Leap Forward in the Wii version of Black Ops. To very briefly summarize it, the time period was supposed to be a huge industrialization and agricultural progression when China was under a heavy Communist regime. Many died along the way due to stricter
