  1. Hi All! Hope everyone is keeping well during this pandemic and I wish you all the best through these hard times Just a quick update incase anyone is wondering, I decided to go for a little name change from “Blurryface” to “ZombiesIsKey” No real meaning behind it other than wanting a change and it being my username for almost everything for a while now. Although with this, I would like to perhaps start my own YouTube channel where I can upload videos to share with you lot of lovely people. Hope this is in the right place too Stay saf

  2. Hey everyone! Hope you are all enjoying Cold War as much as I have been. I have been grinding out the camo challenges as I’m REALLY excited to show how bad ass I have been at zombies and get that Dark Aether camo All joking aside I’ve came up with a mini strategy that may help everyone with a few of the challenges especially the critical kills. The Strategy So the strategy is pretty simple and doesn’t take too much to set up. For the first 10 rounds you want to be using the knife to maximise your points as much as possible. Keep one

  3. Really enjoying Die Machine so far! Beat it in "Die Machine Solo" mode and today managed it solo in standard "Die Machine" mode. (Playing it solo in the coop mode is a little more difficult as the heavy zombies have armor and some prices are a little higher) (EDIT: Heavy zombie armor is in solo now also, didn't realise it was a patch.) Mechanically I don't have any gripes, I love the mode and love that it's more solo friendly than previous titles. Although I do hope that the next maps don't have 4x WWs to build. In solo I dislike juggling 4x upgrades in my head at the same time. Li

  4. Firstly hello everyone, this is my first post here on the forums. Been reading posts created by others but never had anything I felt important enough to write about... until now that is! Do you ever feel creeped out while playing Die Maschine? Do you ever feel like you're being watched? I know I sure was whenever I played the map, but the place I felt the feeling the most wasn't in the depths of the Project Endstation bunker but instead I felt it the most in and around Nacht. I couldn't figure out why so I got to exploring and eventually found something that caught my eye.

  5. I owe you a more elaborate explanation. I feel like we were introduced to Asian spiritualism in Die Rise: the first mention of energy fields, the resurrection step, the step in which we had to mend something electric (Galvaknuckles) with our character's living flesh, the whole "begin anew" thing, .... The idea of chakra's, energy fields in the human body, originate from Asia. It is by some referred to be electromagnetic in origin, like the Aether. So perhaps is the energy we see in the eyes of the zombies this chakra, connected with the power of the Aether's occupant.

  6. Greetings, CoDZ! I wanted to create a thread with a clear transcription of the story that we know so far. Upon reading through the the transcription sections of @RadZakpak and @clueless so far, though, I realized I knew nothing. Therefore, I thought it would be a better idea to make this a community thread akin to that of @MysteryMachineX back in the days. Part by part, bit by bit, we will work through all intel and story that we know thus far. I hope this thread will spark some critical discussion and that we together create this new story, based on the fragments of intel that we obtained in

Welcome to Green Run, a quaint slice of Americana located formerly bustling with life. At least, that is what the U.S. Government wants you to think… In actuality, there is no Green Run. The entirety of Hanford is a facade fabricated by Broken Arrow to conceal their experimentation and research as they work to win the Cold War. People went about their idyllic lives, not noticing the shady governmental activities, miss

  8. I really like this idea @clueless! It would make sense regarding a lot of points. Now, I'm not fully sure if the exact sequence of colours from most powerfull to least powerfull follows the sequence of the sun (e.g. we never saw white 115 and we did saw green and purple 115), but I think we can be sure blue 115 has the most energy considering, indeed, the Apothicon Sun is blue. So it'll be blue-->purple-->green-->red ? Do you think the eye colours of the zombies have something to do with the amount of power as well? Also reminds me of this: I'd say, regarding eye co

  10. Cool idea. I'm not sure if the green 115 is strictly belongs to Dimension 63, the Origins mound is a very special place and it's possible that 115 from different dimension. Regards to green 115 you have the turned zombies: Also, it's worth considering the purple 115 as seen in the DE camos: Similarly here you have the purple Apothicon influence of purple. The margwas also turn their head to purple in the last step where you kill the massive Apothicon in the sky. You also have the SoE pods,

  11. Here's to resurrecting this thread (and never getting a notification we went back to this -_-); I will make a comparison using celestial bodies in regards with potential of 115. The hottest stars in the universe burn a beautiful blue. At a slightly cooler temperature they burn as white light, and then descending into yellow coloration and then orange and finally red at the coolest point it can burn. As most people know, stars are functionally fusion reactors constantly colliding hydrogen atoms into helium. The brighter a star burns, the more hydrogen is being used in its process to

  12. Hi All, I know there is a clamoring for information on this game. Last week I uploaded a guide to GameFAQs on the game that covers everything from basic levels, The Wild, Room of Fate, you name it. I'm not going to copy/paste the guide here because it changes so often with updates, but I'm willing to link it here. I've also written guides for DOA1 and DOA2 and both have been endorsed by David King, creator of DOA. https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/298467-call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war/faqs/78743/about-this-guide Please note that the Room of Fate is currentl

  13. Going to be completely honest, wasn't expecting to see them drop a matching Onslaught map for Nuketown right off the bat! (But that also sets the bar for releasing matching Onslaught maps with any new MP map releases.) There doesn't appear to be any new Intels added with this map, but there are some Blueprints that can be earned for the Type 63 and QBZ-83 according to @Dizzie Bonkers (I've only been able to play it once and mainly used it to get the M79 multikill so you can see how that would fare against the Megaton.) Hopefully they keep that trend instead of exclusive intel, at least Bluepri

  16. Quick update for the thread in general: The M79 and Launcher Brushstroke Camos were significantly nerfed yesterday, now only requiring 50 instead of 750 total instances. If you had more than that before the update, you won't get the camos until you kill 5+ zombies with one shot again so that the game registers the challenges completed in-game! Hopefully the grind is less painful now for everyone with this update!

  20. After playing for a bit and having time to think it over, I think that Aetherium is the remnants of 115 that still exist but without a connection to a now-unraveled Aether. Granted, we will still see an abundance of it as in the grand scheme of things we are dealing with a fraction of the former multiverse and Aether which were entangled in each other, the Aether no longer exists as a plane now that the "string [holding the Aether together] has been pulled" and breaks down the final pieces of itself within the Dark Aether. In short, we are playing with 115 again but without the Aethereal conne

  22. Yeah dude it’s an absolute pain. Have shotguns diamond, knife gold and now working on the M79. Only done 250 or so of the one shots... The launchers are no better tbh, apart from the fact the RPG is a tiny bit more powerful. I’d also recommend to stay in the game for as long as you can especially for the launchers as you really need them fully upgraded to maximise your progress with them. Let me know how you get on with that mate @clueless

  23. Fucking nailed it! Although I suggest staying later in the game if possible; personally I don't mind losing out on some Level/Weapon XP if it means getting more progress for the camos done especially when the gun should be reaching its peak effectiveness by then (finally getting those final upgrades), but to each their own when it comes to comfort zones. I've gotten the Knife gold within a day or two of launch, and been trying to focus on the M79 since then. Everything is done except for THOSE camos, which I'm almost a third of the way through. Thankfully I hear this is the only challenge set

  24. Apparently if you go into Dark Aether there's a spectral monkey where the toy one fell off the horse that can be sucked up with the D.I.E. which makes the wall glow yellow after. Apparently there's a bunch of them, here's a list found from u/Blaze_of_Fury9 on Reddit from this post: Nobody seems to have figured out what the monkeys do, but with so many of them and ones hidden with small interactable things like the horse I'm sure there's more like it. I'd bet the teddy bear on the couch in Nacht would be one too, if that hasn't already been tried.

  25. I can't comment on the bank but the 360 emulator on X1 is designed to play like the original just with the inherent hardware improvements, so maybe that behavior is the intended one and the faster processing power allows for it compared to the 360. Certainly nothing was changed intentionally, but I can definitely see it running better on the X1. Only problems I've ever had were on BO1 which has texture problems on some DLC maps.

  27. Just got to round 60. My first time passing by 53 where the super sprinters come into play. Still really enjoying the game and learning it’s slightly different style than we’re used to. The recent patch un-patched the ray gun and ring of fire nerf so found myself camping on the roof of nacht until all got too much

  28. I'm quite fond of the map. I don't find myself inside or in the Dark Aether unless there's a specific task to perform. However, the synergy with looping the player character to the power/pack-a-punch and immediately opening a full circle to the map is pleasant. The displayed quest is a fantastic way to introduce players to the map. It's also a great way to introduce new players to Zombies and the pack-a-punch. Dipping a toe into more than just the map, but also including the map; there are strong elements that are taken from Sledgehammer's WW2. The lack of consumables originally bummed me

  29. If you go to the roof of old nacht and then look where the shard is for the D.I.E machine and activate your aether shroud you will teleport onto the roof outside of the bounds. You can still be hit by the big bois and the zombies throwing stuff but still pretty op.

  30. Part 1: The First Breach (1938-1945) Nazi-Germany's official foundation of the secretive Uranverein (literally: the Uranium Club) was in April 1938, shortly after the discovery of nuclear fission. It's objective was to research and develop atomic weapons during the course of World War II. The Reichsdirector of the Nuclear Program was Kurt Diebner, a German nuclear physicist from that time. Several years later, in the midst of the second Great War, two German professors working in the field of nuclear and quantum physics, Dr. UlrichVogel and Dr. Kurtz, designed a particl

  31. That's an interesting take on it, but as it happens violet and green stars aren't possible due to scientific mechanics beyond my brainpower. The concept can still fit, but the better theory would be that all 115 comes from the one Apothicon Star in the Dark Aether in it's most potent form and decays over spacetime

  32. I'm going to throw here a more adjusted idea here, and let me know what you think of it: Different 115 comes from stars in different universes.

  33. Weaver actually reminds me of @NaBrZHunter; very knowledgeable and a familiar tone (and sound weirdly enough) of voice while discussing with the others. It's actually very hard to not smile listening to the conversations despite how serious they are at times. Carver seems to have done some less-than-generous work before - "And yes, I am that Major Carver. Most likely, all the stories you've heard are true. But that is in the past." I'm very interested in learning more on that, and he's entertaining while keeping the serious mood. I unironically simp over Doctor Grey, it

  35. Just wanted to throw in the possibility that Der Eisendrache may have been a/the previous station where Victis were stored. Which may have been Richtofen's true reason for visiting the castle. The empty cryo chambers could very well be from Ultimis ofc, but it's possible they were the previous location for the Victis subjects. Notice Richtofen's reaction to seeing the swords missing from the wall... If you look ingame at where he is facing from this screenshot from: Just a possibility. The missing swords and his reaction could be related to s

  37. Let me preface this by saying I have extensively played each map of Onslaught in a desperate hunt of Intel, so I have a decent amount of experience with the mode. Aside from 1-year exclusivity which is not negotiable, I think it's safe to say while the soul of Onslaught is there the gameplay could use some tweaking. For those that don't have it (read: probably everyone else), the way Onslaught works is you are on a MP map and part of it is a "safe zone" with a Dark Aether Anomaly at the center, and you fight a wave (or "Surge" as it is called) of enemies. After the Surge is complete, the Dark

  38. Got gud at this game and got to round 54 before it got too insane to handle. Word of advice, make sure you have the Ray Gun and another lightweight weapon after Round 51, ditch the D.I.E. altogether if you don't plan on sitting in a glitch spot. And CERTAINLY don't use the suction function outside of instakill if you ignore my previous warning. You will not survive

  41. After stewing on the campaign for a week, I am happy to say that I was wrong in my presumptions about this campaign. I think the marketing did it a massive disservice in more ways than one. It is incredible what Raven was able to do with the campaign under the circumstances. Even if it was not meant to be a Black Ops game in early stages, I can see that the final product fits so well into the series. The central theme of "there are no heroes" is upheld in this game like I never imagined possible. The moment I knew I was wrong about the game came to me in this cutscene:

  45. Welcome @CommanderFa1con! You ask some genuine good questions here and I am afraid the answer of them is mostly both speculative and debatable. The most popular idea is that they come from Origins, arrive in the Original Universe in 1943, and two years later go to The Giant. What they did in the 2 years in between remains unknown, and also the presence of the MotD's Icarus plane on the roof at Der Riese is something weird. And then @Rapt made it an even bigger mystery with his threads some months ago. I always assumed they teleported from Der Eisendrache to the ship at Zetsubo

  46. It is probably real cheap, so why not? Here's what to expect; Ghosts was not popular, but I found it to be decent. It has good bots, like BO2 did, these are the best 2 games for functional bots on CoD. Offline bot games can be fun. I make Infected games with bots where the survivors have Sentry, Vulture, and Loki (Loki; I call in the Armored Squadmate and a care package, wait until Squadmate spawns, then cancel Loki because the bots will hide while it's up, so you want them to come gets shredded by Mr. Sentryperson). It's just pointless slaughter for fun. Sa
