FIRST fully interactive map! - Mist

Recommended Posts

Dlc just dropped. And you've got it now.

You know nothing. You open the map up and get this description: "A whole new zombie experience awaits in this fog-covered river town. Navigate your way between areas and don't fall waste to the undead, or worse... The living...."

- The map opens up and you sit in the center of a gloomy, half-destroyed new-orleans style town. There are five buildings around you: The saloon on the far left, next to the swamp, the market across from that, the hotel next to the market, a power-only-accessable marina on the actual swamp, and a library next to the saloon , down one of their alleys is quick revive. There's an M-14 on the wall of the saloon, and a balista on the wall of the market. In the center is a hanging tree with no corpses, but 1 noose per player. Around you there are 3 doors: 2 750 doors into the saloon and into the hotel. There's a 1250 door down a different ally that will lead you further into town.

Zombies start coming out of the hotel and the ground. You do your best to survive, and all is normal, on round 3 you hear a noise and look behind you: A new zombie. This one appears to be some sort of gypsy or voodoo-ist. You run but get caught in it's purple gaze before you blast it's head off. You expect it will kill the zombie but it instead just downs you. You get up and get swiped by another zombie, oddly enough the special zombie keels over after this. You are transfixed. You now have 1330 dollars and a crawler (that won't die immediately)

What do you do? (Also don't worry about weaponry, assume you are taken care of weapon wise).

Now here's the fun part: And this is first-comment-first serve, YOU decide what to do on this map! You're only limits are:

-you can't progress the round,

- you can't exceed the money I give you at the end of the round.

-If I say you can't backtrack, I mean it

You make the player's decisions, but you don't progress the map.

So, what will it be:

-Check out the saloon?

-Check out the next part of town?

-Wander into the river?

- Check out the hotel?

-750 points.

You now hold 580 points.

The saloon is similar to the one in buried, but the stairs go down, not up. Likewise, there is a catapult like system throughout the room that works by needing to load a heavy weight above a plank on a barrel. It cost nothing to set up the mechanism, but it can only work once before needing 1000 to re-set (after power BTW) .

Down the stairs of the saloon you find a chamber of voodoo, in the far corner you spy vulture's aid and a wonder-fizz machine in the other. There's 1000 debris which looks to lead to the library.

Options available:

-750 door -CAN NOT AFFORD-:

      -Hotel

1000 door -CAN NOT AFFORD-:

  -Passage in voodoo room

1250 door- CAN NOT AFFORD-:

-Door to second half of town.

-Try out the catapult mechanism

-Run a few rounds (Produces an unknown amount of points)

Fair enough.

Round 5 - Grand total of 3740 points now (good double points) Speaking of drops, you discover a new one... It's a slab of meat like in grief... Only this one has a bit more sinister purpose... Toss it and yes... Zombies will come and eat it yes... The issue being... As the zombies get their fill... The crocodiles come out... And they are NOT friendly. Sure they'll rip any zombies nearby to shreds, but that ALSO applies for players.... You are lucky enough to survive the crocs...

What to do with your points now?

You head inside the library to find most of the bookshelves toppled over and pushed around. In the center is a pentagram hooked up to a series of wires and a work bench. Parts needed. There is also a suspicious lever attached to the workbench and wires, but it requires power. There's a set of stairs to the upstairs balcony.

Venturing upstairs the balcony connects to both the saloon's upper floor and runs around the library behind the library.

-You can now:

-open hotel- 750

-Enter  the second half of town (1250 to be able to get back)

- Try to look for parts you may have missed for the work bench.

There is a single alley connecting the spawn of town and the second half of it.

You traverse to the second half of town via the balcony. There's no where else to adventure on the balcony so you drop down, you can not return (without paying 1250).

There are a few more buildings here and a well in the center. There's the back of the saloon and library, as well as what appears to be a power plant and a mine. The mine requires 1000 to open up. The power plant requires 1500 to enter.  The well is sealed off with a lock and chain. There is also another half of the dock here. Along it is a winding half-submerged extension. You spot a few crocodiles in the water...

What to do now:

Go back - 1250

The mine  -1000

The power plant  -1500

Venture out on the water...

You traverse the water into the fog... You hear a screech as a denizen pops up on your head! Just kidding, don't worry there's no denizens in this map. You keep traversing until you can't see the dock under the water. What does interest you is that there's a speed cola machine on it's side just below the surface, perfect! If you had power. Upon trying to return, you fall into the water you get back up on the dock's bit, but it's too late, the crocs are after you!

You run as fast as you can, one of them catches your leg in it's mouth, stopping you, you shoot it off before it's friends can pose a real threat. Worse bit is, now you're crippled. You limp as fast as you can before you're eventually healed enough to walk and run. It appears you can't kill crocs with any weapons you possess... You panic and buy the door back to the first area

They're still chasing you, so to save yourself you use the catapult system, which launches you up to the balcony and releases a pipe-piece as well which you pick up. The crocodiles give up after a few minutes of not being able to climb to you and return to the watery abyss.

The hotel is a very special place later on, but not right now... As of right now there isn't much to it: A reference desk, Two elevator entrances that require power, and a set of stairs to the basement where deadshot daiquiri sits. There are similar elevator entrances in the basement. However, the box does spawn here! Goodie!

There is one other thing you can do: Take the pipe piece to the library.  This is the final piece to the puzzle. You've now completed the soul-trap box. Here's how it works:

Around the map there are certain areas which will pulsate red every once in a while while the box is equipped (in the equipment slot). Placing one down allows one to "connect" with another realm. Simply kill zombies near it and it will absorb the souls. Once the link is complete, the box will seal up again and need to be picked back up. You will need to fill each link with a random number of souls before the box is complete. Once the box is complete, it will break giving the player a random drop. This can range anywhere from a carpenter, to a perk-drop RARELY. It takes a lot of souls to fill this, like, more then 4 rounds MAXING the zombies consumed by each pulsating link area, so it evens out. Once the box breaks, a player can pick up another one from the table.

You don't have enough points to actually do anything other then run another round, you earn a total of 1820 points even by the next round and fill up the box a little.

Now you can

-Try your hand at the box (1 go) -950

-enter the power station -1500

- Enter the mine - 1000

You receive a u-s-Bal: A sniper with the added ability, once upgraded, to stun zombies should the bullet-charge beneath the gun be activated. Charge is limited to 15 shots. About as cumbersome as a DSR.  Not a wonder weapon.  You take the weapon.

You now own 870.

You run another round, this time odd music plays. Oddly enough, zombies now vary in size, larger ones which prowl through the streets at higher speeds and do more damage, and smaller ones which do less damage, but are nearly impossible to hit. You receive a max amo at the end of the round. Again, you run another NORMAL round and it lands you a total of 3520 points. You look around in desperation, you don't think you can survive another round without jug, wonder weaponry, or a shield.

-Try your hand at the box (1-3 time(s)) 950per use

-enter the power station 1500

- enter the mine 1000

saloon, you're most likely to find a gun there

We've already been in the saloon.

Tap the box twice, then venture into the mine.

-1900

First pull: Ballistic knives, you leave them in there.

Second pull: The Flux: A LMG that actually fires two rifle shots out of two different cannons consecutively. (one two three BANG (left barrel) one two BANG (right barrel) one two BANG (left barrel) .  Low fire rate, high damage, fully automatic, difficult accuracy.

The mine-1000

The mine is dark and slimy, in the first room there is light, and things are cramped like an origins tunnel. There's a work bench and a bulb part on the floor which attaches to it. You can enter the mine bellow, but you can't see a thing in there... You toss a grenade but you don't hear it bounce. Outside you can't seem to find any more parts...

Options-

-Venture into the dark (unknown consequences)

-Run another round (50% chance of game-over)

Total: 620 Points
