  1. An electronic yawn? I'm playing the Giant right now and heard something similar to your description a couple of rounds ago. It happened during a round transition and really stood out. I just ignored it, assumed it was just a delayed sound effect.

Also in the Waterfront District. There's this Rock underneath the Tram when your down on the docks.

I know what you thinking ok so there's a rock. Well this isn't just any rock. This rock is special. What it does or what we can do to it. I don't know.

So basically if you are on the docks. Turn around so your facing the gym. Go over to the left side near the Water. Look over at the rocks. You should see one that has this weird ass Red/Orange glow to it.

Well knowing how SoE iis based heavily on H.P. Lovecraft. In his stories he referred to an artifact known as the Shining Trapezohedron. Well the 44-Dredge once PaPd is called the Trapezohedron Shard.

I thought this article was pretty interesting.

    http://demonbane.wikia.com/wiki/The_Shining_Trapezohedron

Found some more information on the Shining Trapezohedron. Apparently it's a mystic crazy-angled stone created by elite gods in the Lovecraft mythos.

The stone serves as a window to all of space and time. By starting into it, Nyarlathotep(many of us believe this being is the Shadow man) would be summoned. At some point this stone got into the hands of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh. Egyptian pharaoh? Sounds like that can relate to one of the sets of coordinates on Shadows of Evil's assembled scraps of paper. In 1843 an occultist and archaeologist named Enoch Bowen discovered it in a box of alien construction. Sounds a lot like the mystery box. What can we get out of the mystery box? The 48 Dredge, named Trapezohedron Shard when upgraded. Then Bowen returned to his home town in Providence, Rhode Island, with the Shining Trapezohedron and it's alien box.

Now in the Shadows of Evil universe, there is a populous city in the US known as Morg City. We know Morg City is based off of Chicago and New York City, but what if in the Shadows of Evil universe, one of the US's central megacities was founded in Rhode Island? The Mystery Box's presence could be one of Bowen's souvenirs.

Back in the Lovecraft mythos, Enoch Bowen creates a cult when he returns to Providence. This cult is known as the Church of Starry Wisdom. The cult worshiped Nyarlathotep using the Shining Trapezohedron. In exchange for sacrifices, Nyarlathotep would award the cult with arcane knowledge of deities and other worlds. Now this sounds very relevant to Morg City. Especially with the journalist talking about chanting heard under the city, and the human sacrifices required to unlock the Pack-a-Punch(which the Shadow Man/Nyarlathotep tells us to do). The Order of the Keepers is Treyarch's version of the Church of Starry Wisdom. Over decades, the Church of Starry Wisdom grew to large numbers and spread across the US and the world, to continents including Europe and Africa.

Later in the future, the Shining Trapezohedron is removed from the Church of Starry Wisdom's sanctuary(Pack-a-Punch room?) and dumped into Narragansett Bay. Providence sits on the Narragansett Bay. Is it possible that Morg City is in the same location as Providence is in our universe? Is the body of water that we see down at the docks Narrangansett Bay? Could this rock you're talking about be the Shining Trapezohedron?

I'm in a hurry as of now and don't have time to go look at this thing in-game. This is extremely interesting. I'll have to get the upgraded 48 Dredge and mess around with this rock. Please dear God don't be some kind of lighting glitch. Awesome find @Ragdo11706.

Read something about this somewhere. Apparently somebody found code that reads something similar to "IDGUN_QUEST_REMOVE_BOX."

Two people referencing this really makes me believe it's a step. I'll post the link where I got the code if I find it.

Here's the Reddit post I found it on, http://www.reddit.com/r/CODZombies/comments/3w84x7/megathread_soe_wonder_weapon_upgrading_updated/, and here is the actually coding dump; http://pastebin.com/fLG5up8a.

Looks extremely interesting, especially add_idgun_to_box int remove_idgun_from_box second_idgun_time.

If you guys would listen to me I've had the next "Step" happen to me. Look at my post on here from a week or two ago.

This was before we ever knew anything about a "Cocoon" even existing. I'm trying to tell you why no progress is being made.

Eventually you've got to put down the Apothicon Servant. In other words replace it with another weapon. No wonder no progress is being made. Everyone is running around still holding the damn thing.

By doing so, this allows the first one to be taken out of the Mystery Box. Therefore the next Step becoming activated. Which then will lead to progression and the second form being built.

It's not that far fetched if you actually stop and think about it. We have made this way more difficult and complicated than it needs to be. It's right in front of us but everyone has tunnel vision, so there not seeing clearly.

So, now that we are caught up with the fact that this upgrade is still possible, let's start creating some type of hypothesis on how to do so! Enough jibber jabber about coding and Tranzit! What is our next lead besides this Floating Book? The possibility of a random Umbrella lying around with an undetermined purpose? The possibility of using the Servants Gersch-like ability to suck up a useful object outside the map, the umbrella perhaps? What and where are we starting a search? I can start up a game right now and dig and dig and dig just like Tranzit but what am I digging for?

Sucking shit up sounds plausible. We use Gersch devices to absorb things in the Ascension EE, and we also use Lil' Arnies to obtain parts for the "upgrade dance."

If there is a dragon, I would imagine it to be a mechanical one given that it's called The Iron Dragon. I would love to see a dragon in a zombies map for an epic boss fight, but Die Rise crushed that hope for me. If they did finally include one though then I would love to see it as a massive beast that has an insane amount of health but doesn't actually come back after killing it, and instead grants access to the WW somehow or something like that. Judging by the picture the map looks to be fairly huge so I think it could certainly support the inclusion of one.

But since I'm skeptical about their being one at all I would postulate that it's actually some sort of ancient machine or weapon buried deep within the castle that we discover/go looking for. That or it's the name of that rocket hidden in the back there. It sounds like the name of a weapon to me, like some kind of war machine.

I hope there's no dragon, mechincal or not. Just sounds too unrealistic and in my opinion stretching the game's lore too far.

I believe the Iron Dragon is just referring to the castle itself. "Iron" for it's size/strength, and "Dragon" for it's range capabilities, hence the cannon.

  7. I came upon this video claiming there is an Easter Egg reward. Apparently if you complete the Easter Egg, and survive a certain amount of rounds(the guy in the video survives 10) without anybody on your team going down, all of your perks will become permanent. I'm really hoping this isn't a glitch, this would definitely make the Easter Egg worth doing. The only skepticism I have about this is that it conflicts with the Aftertaste gumball. Has anyone tried this? Or know if it's just a glitch?

And no, I'm not talking about the wonder weapon. I mean like the annihilator, or the swords.

Personally, I'd like to see the triumphant return of the flamethrower here. Or the purifier rather...  And lets assume it's upgradable too....

Other options include the tunder weapon, the crossbow, the war machine, reaper's arm.

The possibilities are endless. Please discuss.

I'll be very disappointed if the special weapon is the Purifier/flamethrower. We can already get that in Dead Ops Arcade II, and it's really not all that impressive.

Someone should try playing that voice backwards.

It's been done, doesn't sound any better. The words are extraordinarily similar(if not the same) to H.P. Lovecraft's fictional R'lyehian language. I found apparently the only known/created English translations of R'lyehian words from CthulhuWiki.

    http://www.yog-sothoth.com/wiki/index.php/R'lyehian

Supposedly the translations are by Lovecraft himself and are evident in his books and overall Cthulhu mythos. Although I still question the credibility of the website, I've been listening to the Cthulhu announcer's audio clips relating to the swords and Apothicon Servant. I've actually been able to match up certain fragments of the announcer's phrases to different translations.

I tried studying the phrase heard after picking up the Kor-Maroth. I got the second half of the R'lyehian phrase to be "Kor-Maroth s'uhn bug athg." The phrase without "Kor-Maroth" translates directly to "agree go pact." I'm not sure how the syntax works in this alien language but if the translation is correct I'd think it means something like "go agree to the pact, agree to the Kor-Maroth pact," etc.

Lots of the Cthuvian words in SoE sound strikingly similar to the words on the wiki page. I'll try translating more clips shortly, maybe all of them if I have the time. I wasn't able to find any more R'lyehian translations online, which really makes me question the page's authenticity. If anyone has any ideas or thoughts, I'm all ears.

    Can anyone explain this

Is this your footage? That name for the Apothicon Servant is not one of the regular four possibilities. You or the player is also wearing a Margwa mask, you can see it in her shadow. The PaP is also purple. If you've found something, pls share :))

You know how there lit up once you've activated PaP. Even if you never started the Sword Quest. The name of the Apothicon Servant has a few different Variables.

Depending on the actions you've made in the game, will depend upon which name you receive. I'm still working it out, basically it all depends on if you've started the Sword Quest & obtained the Apothicon Egg before you build it.

Another thing to note is the Arbgwaoths Portal is Red not Purple. Just to get that out of the way. Now, I've been talking about this for a few weeks. That Damn floating book that we activate & Never do anything with. Has that nice Purple glowing animation like the Shadow Man.

I think well figure it out soon (hopefully sooner than later). But we have still got to figure out how to obtain the alternate version.

Isn't the floating book just part of the Easter Egg? I've heard other people talk about it's uselessness before. After upgrading the swords, I go to Nero's apartment and interact with the book. After that the flag is lowered in the Widow's Wine room. When I don't interact with the book the flag remains attached to the ceiling.

  12. Made it to 53 with three buddies last week. A four player game is SIGNIFICANTLY longer than solo.

Our game lasted NINE hours. We didn't take any major breaks. It was worth it in the end because we made it to ~75th place on the worldwide leaderboard(for Xbox One).

Meanwhile my highest round on solo is only 44, but that game was only slightly over 2 and a half hours.

Going to go for a round 70+ solo game once I have the time. Does anyone know if you are able to slide under the chain traps when they're active?

    Guys...

What color are are the "upgraded"/Easter Egg Margwa's?

    - They are the same color as the upgraded wonder weapons portal.

    - PURPLE

Anyone tried waiting to create the wonder weapon until they've killed the Purple Margwa's and gotten a heart drop?

    :)

Holy crap, this may very well be the case! The upgraded wonder weapon voids are purple, the Easter Egg Margwa heads are purple, and the upgraded Lil' Arnies are purple!

Here's my theory; solo players are unable to complete the EE but can still reach the final step because it is required to upgrade the Apothicon Servant. But... as we all know the final EE step does not end until completed. It may be possible that it ends once you have upgraded the Apothicon Servant, maybe it gives you an opportunity to eliminate all Margwas and proceed to the next round.

I'll play around with this idea next time I find myself in a good game of Shadows of Evil, wearing the Margwa Mask and all.

  14. I was exploring and stumbled upon the following quote by yours truly, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, in Five.

"Stick that in your Warren Commission, dick!"

    http://bit.ly/1IqtcUY

Soooo, what the hell is the Warren Commission? The Warren Commission, formally as known as The President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, was a delegation of several members created by President Lyndon B. Johnson. The committee's assignment was to investigate the events surrounding JFK's death. The commission was created November 29th, 1963. President Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963. JFK is obviously alive when he says the quote, so he must have previous knowledge of his death.

The map Five takes place because of the Pentagon's misuse of Element 115. I think it's very possible that the U.S. had done some 115 experiments of their own, perhaps (maybe accidentally)discovering time travel.

  15. Having the Apothican Servant and Lil' Arnies really helps. Use those to keeps meatballs out of the way. Make sure you shoot/throw them strategically, you don't want the madness blocking your team's view of the Shadow Man. Also double-check you are picking up the flag after it dings and glows red.

I think the dates are something to note, as they tell you when they were convicted to a degree, if we take the one that says "Past due" to be the most recent one, and the Nov one to be the previous year, we could have a time of conviction for the MOB crew

The date on the Sal DeLuca note, November 6th, could just be a playful reference to Black Ops 3's release date.
