  1. PHD can be OP with the M&S - but they are pretty much useless after round 30 imo and will just make crawlers and with the low ammo count, it doesnt help you. I did see the rumor of PHD returning in BO3 as a proper stock perk on map by default (all waw/bo1 perks basically) and that it will be more expensive because of no DtP, and so you instead slide to create the explosion

I'm pretty sure they do work up until the 50's. If someone could correct me if I'm wrong, that would be great.

  2. To compete with other games, they needed to either be in the future or do some Alternate reality stuff which allowed for more technology existing in the past to make things interesting. As much as people want WW2, its better to be in the future for at least this game, I am not saying the future can't be WW2.

I disagree. It's clear that quite a lot of people are becoming fed up with futuristic warfare, and want a back-to-basics World War II shooter on next-gen systems.

  3. I wasn't going to comment because of this thread's title and my personal lukewarm feelings on the map, but since everyone else is commenting on what they don't like, I might as well add a few things about the map too.

First of all, the wall weapons. The wall weapons are good. Very good, in fact. So good, that it makes the box completely useless, especially if you're going for a high round, since the main wonder weapon of this map is buildable.

I do understand why they didn't add PhD Flopper to the map, though. It is OP with the Mustang and Sally's, but to combat this, they could've done something like raising it's point value. Or maybe decrease how effective it is, spalsh damage wise.

The buildables, once again, are in my opinion, tedious and frustrating to build them all. I think Mob of the Dead and Origins done buildables best. However, I do think the Trample Steam is pretty cool, though. It can get you out of some pretty tight spots.

Overall, I don't like this map, but I don't dislike it either. I wouldn't say it's a bad map, but it does get boring pretty quickly for me.

  4. I'd like to see a few more areas opened up, add in a few more perks (PhD, Vulture-Aid, Electric Cherry) and a way of obtaining random perk bottles so we can get all the perks w/out having to do the EE. I would also like to see the wunderwaffe return, or, what would be cool is a nerfed wunderwaffe so all 4 players could have a WW like in origins, and MOTD I believe with the Blundergat. Beauty of Annihilation also to return :P

Mrroflwaffles confirmed on his livestream on Twitch last night that The Giant will remain completely the same, when it comes to the map layout. A remastered Beauty of Anihilation would be pretty cool though, and if the Wunderwaffe doesn't come back in some capacity, I'll never forgive Treyarch.

Aw man, well I hope they don't leave it completely the same.I would like to see the same wall weapons though

That doesn't seem to be the case, unfortunately.

This image was taken from the Treyarch D.I.C.E. Summit Presentation back in February. It's an image from The Giant, and it has one of the Assault Rifle's(?) from 2065.

  6. I think it takes place a few weeks or months before actual Der Riese (don't quote me on that). Didn't Richtofen take the others with him to Shi No Numa after Samantha gets in the MPD? I don't think they'll be major changes to the current, maybe a few bits changed here and there. But they could have opened it up a bit more with new areas, etc.

Honestly I'd just be fine if they added stairs by Juggernog like the loading screen said haha.

Yeah, a time period change would not be drastic enough to explain the change in layout. The map we've always known actually occurs on the same day, in the same hour, only 20 seconds before The Giant, as far as we can tell. How that works is yet to be seen.

The Giant takes place after Der Riese not before it, in the original timeline Richtofen would have woken up the other three they would've gone where ever and ended up back at Der Riese eventually but theres never a date where it says when the map takes place aside from a broken clock.

The Giant is set before the original Der Riese. At the start of the cutscene you can see the radio from the original Der Riese map taking place.

$20,000 = Prop From Future Live Action Call of Duty Trailer Signed By Mark Lamia (only 2 left as of this post)

Some real great stuff to get if you donate that much. It's a real great charity. Don't forget the more you donate, the higher chance of being the person who gets to become a zombie in game.

I'd love to see whoever wins the Wave Gun prop to do a video review of it as well.

You don't actually get the Wave Gun, you get a prop from an upcoming Black Ops 3 Live-Action trailer. The Wave Gun is just there as a placeholder, and so you get an idea of what you're getting. It would be cool if the prop would be a new wonder weapon from the game though.

  8. Richtofen didn't really show the N4 their future, though. He showed them their future if they didn't put the switch onto the stocks - they died with the switch, which is why you had to search their dead bodies for it. Simply by making the decision to continue the Easter Egg they changed their fate. With either ending, whether Buried is their final resting place is unknown.

Ah, I see. Thank you for clarifying that.

  9. It's a small one, and that was exactly what we knew we would find when told about new Easter Eggs on some maps. However, I'm just surprised that it was on TranZit of all maps. Congratulations to Reseaux though for finding this new little Egg.

  10. I definitely think it's possible that "SoE" & "The Giant" aren't the only 2 maps. For he simple fact I did think it was rather odd that hey revealed both maps 5/6 months ahead of schedule.

There's got to be something more. Another reason I say this is because ALL the big YouTube names made a video about that shirt being Misty. Even some of the guys who don't even play Zombies. That right there screams to me that the BOII crew are returning. I know a lot of you may think that sounds crazy, but just think about it. Drift0r, T-Martn, Ali-A, they don't play Zombies, but they made a video.

I do agree that it's unusual for them to reveal Zombies a couple months earlier than usual, but Multiplayer and even Campaign (albeit by a few days) have all been revealed earlier than usual this year.

However, that isn't a lot to go by for the N4 to be coming back. I mean, Richtofen does show them their future in Buried and they're dead in it. And while Driftor, T-Martn and Ali-A are more known for being MP guys than Zombies, they do all cover the game as a whole, even though they focus more on the Multiplayer side of things.

  11. What is everyones thoughts on this? I'd so love to play BO1/2 on current gen, i think it could be a good marketing strategy to promote BO3 tbh. But typical ATVI may not allow it.

not to rebuy it no. they should just make it backwards compatible but activision are greedy so not likely if it had new features or perks on next gen then ok but not the same shit in the maps the new consoles are not limited. plus ok this is abit off topic say like with advanced warfare they restricted the blunderbus is it within exo zombies? they come out with the whole bs of "memory restrictions" i dont believe that for one minute just seems like propaganda its just a damn weapon lol. nothing that big or special. so if nothing is new whats the point in buying it if all they do is change it graphically??

The amount of memory on last-gen is the reason the 3 new AW weapons can't be put on 360/PS3. The 360's memory is a measly 512 MB, and there's only so much you can do, and add to the game with memory that low. So, no it isn't some sort of Activision conspiracy.

  12. Descent was left on a cliffhanger, so they definitley do have a reason to bring it back. Although, I can't imagine fighting an army of John Malkovich's being interesting

On the topic of whether or not Exo-Zombies is enjoyed by a lot of people, I'd say it is. I know a few of us here on these forums do have quite a lot of problems with the mode, but overall, I think the general feedback may have actually been positive. I know a few people who play Zombies who don't particularly care about story, but only really play to pass the time, and they enjoy Exo-Zombies a lot. I think some of those same people would say it's on par with Treyarch's Zombies. I also see a lot of people who enjoy it on Charlie Intel and various YouTube channel comment sections.

  13. Those Oz clones just came out of nowhere I think. That reveal didnt make any sense. I also didn't care for any of the Characters' outcomes, (were we really supposed to feel bad for Oz?) especially Bill Paxton's character which was laughable more than anything else.

It's a shame though, because when I unlocked the ending for Riot on Exo-Survival I was excited for Exo-Zombies, but it ended up being one lackluster disappointing mode.
