  1. Regardless of what it status was before the end of BO2, I'm very much looking forward to having it back in The Giant and maybe future maps.

Yeah i hope it will come back in The Giant and acts the same as it should and hasnt been nerfed down or anything. I think the only way we will see the good old WWs again is if there maps get re-made again. But the Thundergun, Wunderwaffe and Winters Howl are not map exclusive WWs like the others are said to be, so they can be brought back. And also am I the only one who is sick of monkeys (pretty sure they were in every BO2 map)? Bring back my gersch device pleaseeee

  2. I don't think that's an unreasonable suggestion. Though it does appear in CotD as if Richtofen trades it for the Golden Rod.

ehh, i consider its appearence in COTD more fan service than being linked to the storyline, its just a powerup, you dont get it as a weapon.

  3.

I agree with that, I liked Firing Range more because of memories though, Studio was the same layout just retextured so I can't be bias and say I liked it more gameplay wise unless I take BO2's features into account.

yeah, BO1 was my first COD, and besides being my favourite (for MP/Zombies anyway) I have such fond memories of playing MP in its prime, playing the best CTF variant on Hotel and WMD, good times.

  4. Studio was the same map really just retextured, from the sounds and looks of this Nuk3town will be a lot different compared to what it was. I don't know if thats a good or bad thing.

yeah but they described Studio as something different, it wasnt Firing Range with newer textures - though i would've preferred this as i like the original more than Studio.

  5. I can see Nuketown always being in a Black Ops game. Beyond that, it doesn't need to return. The difference with Nuketown when they bring it back is that it still is the same map just with newer textures to fit the time period of the game. Hence why it was free. But the other remakes in BO2, were technically new maps but with a layout we are familiar with.

  6. You cannot 'rip' areas from official maps to custom maps, you can recreate of course but hes not doing that (well i suppose he is actually if hes doing a Nuketown map), those sections are inspired by Fives labatories though. Area 51 is a secret place with all sorts. Underneath this Nuketown there could be all sorts going on.

  7. 3arc never said that nuketown would be expanded upon (I.e. The famed "underground" section) for zombies, that was a rumor/fake leak in the BO2 build up.

@Lenne I disliked NTZ at the time partially because it didn't feel like a full fledged offering. TranZit was awful, and I did not like th split up half assed survival areas. NTZ is yet another small survival area that had an extremely limited ee & seemingly slapped together cannon.

but yeah, not getting jugg within 3 drops is a game killer too lol

it was on par with a custom map - except I think custom map makers are way more creative.

well im going by what i read in interviews.

Well there is a custom map on its way for WaW, which will bring the Nuketown we deserved, it looks bang on like the BO2 version, but this one will be expanded like promised: http://ugx-mods.com/forum/index.php/topic,6064.0.html

  8. while the perk system is no doubt retarded, that alone is not why i hate the map, in pre-release interviews to BO2 they said they'd expand upon the original map, open up the houses and fallout shelter etc and this got me excited so i bought the HE just for it, only to play it and see we got a rushed piece of shit with the map being smaller than the MP variant. Along with the map only having the stock perks despite there being 10 spawns for perks and the lack of a WW, all of this just made me despise the map, nowadays i dont loathe it AS much, not since they added the Mk 2 which made things a little more fun, but i still stand by on it being a complete disappointment for some players, which is why im still skeptical about the giant given it is a bonus map, but in this case at least i know roughly what we're getting and they are spending some time on it

  9. I prefer these modern CODs more than the theme of WaW, however i would be interested in going back to BO1 - i liked that time period, you were a bit more advanced than WW2, but it wasnt all laser exo suit BS. Plus the zombies is the main part of COD for me, and even if the main game is futuristic or set in the past, zombie maps are not tied to a specific period, like how the giant will be set in the WW days unlike the main campaign of BO3, but the third map we might get probably will be set in the future. I like that variation of maps as there is something for everyone.

As for thoughts on the BO3 beta, i have played it on Xbox One and enjoyed it so far, much better than AW MP.

  10. I'd like to see some of the big BO1 maps return, favourites being Array, WMD, Kowloon and Hotel - but i would personally want them to return as those maps - and not in a remastered form like Studio/Take off for instance. So yes they should also be free. I dont mind the same map being updated with newer textures like Nuketown was as it was still the same map, but i definitely preferred Stadium to Take off and Firing range to studio. Remakes are never as good as the original.
