  1. Welcome to the site. Good question, I've been curious about what @Treyarch and @jimmyzielensky has been cooking for the past 2 years. Must be worth the wait, don't you think?

It better be. I don't know if I can handle another 3 years on BO2 like maps. Die Rise was horrible, and Buried was boring. At least with the 2 year cycle, I could have played and replayed the same 3 maps I liked over and over, like I currently am, but with a 3 year cycle I'm not sure if I can keep playing these maps.

Well If you include the top 3 maps from all 3 games that's 9 maps.

    Well, in theory.

But I doubt that there is any consensus as to what the 9 best maps are. For me, BO1 holds 4 of them, WAW 3, and BO2 2.

If you meant as an add on to the ps4/xb1 zombies, then hell yeah. There should be a dozen maps that would be never ending fun if they do that, upgraded mechanics, and weaponry, maybe perks. I'm all for that.

  3. That was not an issue in BO1, only BO2. This is likely due to the recordation of your head shots, kills, gibs, ect.  And the sheer map size. That's also the reason the WWs, can't kill hordes instantly like the thunder gun and Wonder waffe in BO2, each one kills zombies slower to accommodate.  This will be a fully assessed feature come next-gen epicness. This is LITERALLY what it means by giving us a better box.

I use a lot of explosives (around 20% of my 580k kill), and every insta kill I use nades to wipe out my hoard to conserve ammo. It doesn't just stutter for me, it's everyone, so I have to warn people. It will be nice when that is no longer an issue.

Anyways, I know you know that. Another thing that will he interesting is if they can get rid of gspawn errors. I've only had that happen to me 2x in bo2, but it happened a lot in BO1.

The new boxes present a huge potential advancement for zombies in particular, compared to the multi. All the headroom can be used to get rid of the little things like that, and I hope they do it.

  4. It's set to be a success for 2 reasons:

    1- MOAR ZAWMBIES!

2- It's the first fully next-gen title (presumably) in COD, while Ghost and AW are set to be good, their potential will be held back because the games had to be ported to the 360 and the PS3, which can barely handle BO2 zombies now…

If BO3 (or whatever name they choose) is in fact next gen only, I expect a lot of things to change. Not just resolution, a better frame rate, and no pop in, that stuff is a given. What I expect to be the biggest change is all the stuttering.

By stuttering I mean when you shoot 5 bullets from the executioner, or wipe out an entire hoard on insta kill. Not to mention all the other crazy things the next gen consoles should be able to do over the dino's.

  5. Prince, it's all just too OP. Besides 10% more health, as in 4.4 hits with Jugg?

10% more bullet damage is just too much as well, especially since dt2 gives you double bullet damage, so essentially the tank would have 220% normal damage.

10% quicker healing would be much better.

Pulling out a gun with unlimited ammo? Come on.

Ninja actually isn't too OP, minus the invisible thing.

A double damage claymore? Way too powerful. As is a claymore can easily wipe out an entire hoard of zombies in the mid 20's, 2 can do it well into the 30's, you want to double them up, and give an extra. That would last until 45 lol.

    Survivor isn't too bad.

Just take away all of the extra abilities, they would make the game too easy, and all of the OP bonuses.

  6. I seriously doubt that changing any box weapons would impact the game in the slightest way. Maybe changing the WW's would, but a Galil for an AN isn't going to do anything.

I can see your argument for being able to customize said weapons, but let's be real here, nobody is one weapon away from their best round going from 20 to 65. It just isn't going to happen, even if they could get the three most OP WW's all at the same time on the same map, at best for a normal player that would add tops 10 rounds.

Change is good, especially to a stale system.

  7. praise-the-lord-meme-generator-praise-th

    SOMEONE GETS IT!

But yeah, glitches shouldn't pursue if there's a customizable box. As the box's animation takes a long time so It can process things quite simply, especially on next gen.    I guess if everyone spammed the box during a fire sale one may be stuck with weapons they otherwise couldn't get, but I don't see much harm in that. It's not likely going to help players cheat to higher rounds either…

    Love the picture lol.

And I don't really know how the coding works, but as a basic understanding, changing one thing can change something else. Like during a firesale I hit my box, get the blundergat, and you hit yours and get the paralyzer. Now we both have WWs. Or how the shield for example allowed people to find hundreds of spots to glitch in. Maybe addung that in glitches a wall, or something.

  8. This is why customizable box weapons that you unlock would be great. For example the chainsaw would be a great box gun. Allow us to throw an attatchment or two on it, hit the box, and get the gun.

So a saw would have 150/600 as a standard, and as you rank up with the weapon you unlock attatchments for it. Extended mags as an example.

And the death machine bayonet combo is just awesome.

Yup, or exchange it for another weapon like it.

Exactly. It wouldn't be game breaking in the slightest to have 15 unlockable weapons that you could swap into the box for another in its class. So a chainsaw for the lsat, etc.

The attatchments would also be cool because it gives you something to work for, even with crappy guns. You would always be working towards something, which adds to the replayability.

They could even, with an ammo upgrade have detrimental effects. Get incendiary ammo, which has higher damage, but zombies explode, stun rounds, but zombies send out a shockwave when killed that slows you down.

It would also be really cool to have a permanent wonder weapon. Say for example you really like the Blundergat, you could get the blundergat out of the box on any map, but you couldn't get the sliquifier on Die Rise, and as usual only 1 person can have a WW.

A customizable wall weapon slot would be cool too, Buried was awesome for that, even if I hated the map. Just give us 10 guns to choose from, and let us put them where we want.

Maybe even let us take a gun we built and include it as a wall weapon.

I truly believe/hope they are working towards that. With the chalk in Buried, and the wall weapons with attatchments in the box in Origins. The next logical step is to give us a little freedom.

My only reservation is that it might be a coding nightmare for them. 4 players, all with different loadouts might lead to some pretty bad glitches. If that is the trade off, I wouod rather have nothing.

  9. Except the literal point of running in the mud is to fill the chest with the punches…

And trust me, that set up is NOT as OP as you think, cherry does not kill it only stuns so while it may be good at helping one reload it is a PAIN on higher rounds where one needs to clear that ONE zombie in your path to get by. if it's round 20, you run out, zap them and don't have a shield to protect from the 10 behind you, you are down.

My personal favourite training spot is in the footprint by gen 5. In solo games I just run the crazy place room, 3 guns, the two wall weapons, and boomhilda/mk2 RG.

Any ways cherry saves your life a lot of the time. Short bursts of fire, reload, short burst, reload, with a shield, and cherry you may as well be invincible if you have a staff, mk2, or boomhilda.

I don't mind the shield, just wish there was an actual detriment to having it. Keep in mind I also wish there was no wonder weapons though. I'm all for punishing the weaker players. I'm sure just about everyone here could handle no WW's, most others most likely no. The only WW I legitimately like is the Blundergat, and I don't like to use it either.

  10. I do NOT think the maps with the shield were OP… Or at least Origins, as that stupid mud without the shield is HORRID before jug. or after losing it.

Origins certainly less so than MOTD...

Run through a hall with the blunder, Spork, Cherry, tomahawk, and shield. It doesn't even matter if you get trapped lol. Shoot, reload, tomahawk, shoot reload tomahawk, etc. If it's below 33, spork, shoot, sprork shoot.

You are right about Origins if you run in the mud. If not, then it's too liberal. Punch + boomhilda + cherry + shield might be more OP then mob.

  12. It would be nice if the zombie shield made you legitimately slower. Like run 3/4 the length and speed. It was almost detrimental to not have a zombie shield because it is/was so OP, especially on maps with cherry...

At least you would have a decision to make if you were a lot slower with one.

So imo all the buildables should have a detrimental effect. Such as the short life span of the turbine, perfect.

  13. The side dodge would certainly make it op. As would in a map with high ceilings, or an outside map, the boost when you jump to essentially allow you to fly over a hoard.

It would also he a nightmare from a coding standpoint. Look at the 8 billion glitches in die rise because of the tramplesteam, imagine a flying ability lol.

The exo would essentially have to be THE wonderweapon for that map(s), otherwise there would be far too many glitches.

  14. I like it, build the exo-suit, it replaces the shield (losing it's defensive usage) but the exosuit allows one to jump up and away from the hordes, however there is no boost yet so jumping up would bring one up, but not away from the horde bellow them, it takes 5 seconds to recharge. Likewise the boost only last a short flight, as seen in the trailers for AW.

    Upgrades awarded via origins-style achievements:

-Float: Allows the player to hover in the air for a short time

-Slam: After jumping, allows the player to slam into the ground making a shockwave, CAN be paired with PHD flopper for more damage

-Cloak: Like zombie blood or vultures aid, the difference being it takes 30 second to recharge and lasts 10 seconds. As well it costs 1000 points to execute.

-Speed: The exo-suit by default will slow you down slightly like if you were carrying a LMG, this perk removes that issue, as well one can also use stamin-up to correct this as well.

-Boost: Once all the other goals have been filled one can gain boost which allows quick movement in a single direction, this includes jump-dashes, slide dashes, and back-track dashes.

NOTE: Electric weapons like Galvaknuckles use can actually disrupt the machines power so refrain from using them as they can and will give you splash damage without PHD flopper or electric cherry.

Ok I like it. Build it and power it up. Would bring an interesting dynamic to the game. So say the base exo would give you higher jumping (no boost), and the side dodge thing.

Then once you power it up you get the boost, as well as keeping the other abilities.

Next power up you get an upgraded melee, next one faster movement, and final level you can hover.

So some examples would be 100 headshots, 25 nade kills, 500 kills, etc.

Could be a great way to add to the game, as long as it is difficult enough to obtain the best stuff.

  15. I feel the exo suit would be way too over powered for zombies. About to run into a hoard booster jump over them.

That said it would be a cool thing to have in a map. An in door map with relatively low ceilings, something along the lines of motd would likely be alright.

Or if the exo is included make it so you only have one boost per round, just like afterlife, and you have to use the exo suit to turn things on. If it was a buildable such as the shield with infinite boosts, it might legitimately break the game on an outside map such as cotd.

I always liked Origins reward system personally, complete an objective, get an award, so with that in mind make the exo an award like the punch.

  16. I am more than all for the tomahawk. Mob was my favourite map, and the tomahawk was a big part of that. I just feel it makes it too easy for the glitchers. They don't even have to move to get the max ammo and nukes etc. Maybe if they removed that it would be perfect, the glitchers would still have unlimited ammo with it, but at least it wouldn't be too over powered for them.

  17. The key for me is customization without making you over powered. That can mean more perks to choose from, more weapons, whatever really.

I would also like a loadout, like the multi where you level up and unlock stuff. Could he as simple as starting the game with max ammo for your pistol, or as advantageous as choosing perma perks. Nothing like Jugg that stacks, but more along the lines of an extra step or two when running to take the place of stamin up, which frees up a perk slot.

And the last thing I want is more stats. BO2 was a good start. Now let's include more stats. Knife kills, wonder weapon kills, average time between downs, average rounds survived, etc. I want to know who I am playing with, how they play. It is one thing to ask them, and another to be shown.

    @BestOfAllTime

Read up on this and tell me if this is what you're looking for:

    http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php/topic/177212-next-ranking-system-tree-of-tears/

    -Character customisation

    -Box customisation

    -Perma-perk customisation

-Advancement in levels via achievements and goals rather then KD.

I like the general concept. Having certain randomized goals to reach, kind of like Extinction mode would be fantastic. That said, I don't like the idea of failing those challenges effecting any rank.

For example, finish the Easter Egg. I would never complete that personally. I am not a dick about it, but I just tell people I have less than no interest in doing the Easter Egg, if they ask.

The challenges should certainly add you your rank though, or at least your stats. Player completed x% of their in game challenges, and show the amount of completed challenges.

My other biggest problem, is the player reviews. People are just far too fickle. Negative reviews for not reviving someone, or just general trolling.

Other than that, I like the basic idea. Having map specific ranks is fantastic. I have maps I am weaker at, than others, I am sure everyone does.

I am all for customisation in zombies. Being able to customize your box guns, unlocking new weapons for the box, going through ranks to prestige like in multi, being able to change starting pistols, choosing not to have a starting weapon if you want a challenge.

    In a perfect world

Every 5 levels would unlock a new box gun, every 20 would unlock a new special grenade, and every prestige would unlock a perma perk. They already have a built in structuring for the way perma perks could be unlocked. Just go by the price of the perk. Let us choose some of them, but have a cap on the points allotment.

So say Jugg perma is 5 points, flopper is 3, and QR is 1 just as an example.

The biggest thing with that, if they were ever going to do it would be to not allow the perks to stack. I don't want 6 hits, 4 is plenty. I don't need to run for a minute, 20 seconds is fine. Nobody needs 4 guns, etc.

You would level up insanely fast in zombies. Even at 1xp per kill, and 100xp per round survived, most people would get at least 3k per game in xp. Add in bonuses for completing the game, say an extra 1000xp just for sticking with it. I think people would love it.

That is all time based though, which is where the tree comes in. Having a hybrid ranking system, so people can see he plays a ton, and he is good, not just he plays a lot.

  19. It would just be nice if they released all of the maps they have already made in a separate zombies only dlc for us on the next game. Updated guns, perks, textures, resolution, etc. That way the three year wait won't be so unbearable next go around. We would have 15 maps, plus the at least 5 they put on the next game.

There is no need for two discs at all. With the nature of COD being an online game, they can attach a 40gb day one patch with the game if they need.

If they do re release, or re re release (WAW maps) the old maps, there is so much potential to nickel and dime us, and I am completely fine with it. They could create/section off the old maps for game modes like grief, and charge us 4.99 for the grief map pack, or something.

I am sure that most on this board would spend just about any amount of money to get their zombies fix, but I am not so sure about the guys that love the multiplayer, and just dabble in zombies

  20. It would be great if they can implement an anti cheating system, I just have serious doubts that it is reasonably possible. They can't really do anything like on pc where if you have a hack site on your history they put you in purgatory, if we are talking about consoles of course.

That would be simple, but not realistic on the consoles, because they don't really work like that. Maybe get kicked if you don't move for more than 20 mins? That might be kind of easy to do, not sure.

If that could work, then glitching would be obsolete. If it couldn't be done, then I am pretty much out of ideas.

  21. I'm sorry it's easier not to quote on mobile for me.

I completely agree about kd. For some it is way too important, hell for awhile, once I had done about all I wanted to do in tranzit, I raised my kd by over 400 just for fun. I believe I got it to 780 something, with 30+ days worth of game time lol. Kd is natural, if you get to a high round, chances are you will have a good kd.

Completion percentage would be a pretty

good add on too imo. That way you can get a gauge on peoples dedication, of course there are faults, and I myself likely quit around 30% of the survival games I played. It gets boring after awhile, but only if everyone is okay with quitting, which they usually are.

I am not an EE hunter, or anything, so I kind of neglected that angle. I guess you are right, it pretty much discourages people from trying if it is round based.

How can they choose who cheats and who doesn't? Nobody is going to watch every game, and ban those that do. Maybe a higher emphasis on miles travelled? Still you can get a person to glitch that. Just run around for hours, and boom max rank.

I personally despise the WW, and Ray Gun. They make things way too easy. I likely wouldn't even have 10% overall kills with them. The people who need the WWs are useless. They can't survive without them most of the time.

  22. Really like the idea. I would love to see far more customization available to players of a certain level. I don’t like a time based ranking system though. Challenges are a good idea, but instead of ranking you up I think they should unlock some very small reward that you can add to your loadout. For example complete a challenge, unlock max ammo for your starting pistol at the start of the game, complete another, unlock the mouser(sp?) Instead of the m1911. Extended mags for another challenge on your starting pistol, but you can only have 4 things equipped at a time.

The important part is to not make anything over powered. We don't want to for example start with a b23r, with extended mags, and max ammo.

The idea of taking things away from players for using the bank is great. Something like can't buy perks for two rounds would be wonderful.

The actual ranking system should move away from k/d based. It makes people play selfish. A higher emphasis on rounds survived, not a small sample size like over 10 games, I mean overall. Then add in the weight from stats. 10 ranks, with prestige should be the minimum, it sucked being the highest rank after a week in bo2.

There should be, for completing challenges, a kind of perk system like what I put above. You can have four, some other examples would be +1% chance at good weapons in the box, 5% extra bullet damage, +10% explosives damage, 10% movement increase, can run 3 extra steps, etc.

Nothing too game breaking like fire 2 bullets at once, that stacks with dt2, so you get 3 bullets at a time, or an extra hit that stacks with jugg.

I would also like there to be a separate kill category for wonder weapons. I like to know who leans too heavily on them. They make the game far too easy.

  23. I am all for more grief personally. Out of all of black ops 2 it is easily the best thing to come out of the game to me, but only two of the maps were goof imho. Even bad players can drag a game right along on town, borough, or even mob (although I like mob). It shouldn't take two hours to play a game of grief. Then there is the constant host migrations, connection losses, and glitching. Dedicated servers will fix two of those issues at least.

It would be nice to have more maps. 4 maps kind of sucks, especially when there is some really bad map design.
