  1. *small update*

What happened to the adventurers from Shangri La?

thought id knock this one out right now, but you mean Brock and Gary right? in the final steps completing the Shangri-La easter egg, you are to give them a stick of dynamite to free them but they are in a timeloop like the MoTD characters. you can see after they leave it resets in this transcript (written by MurderMachineX)

    Hm, interesting.

I've never played Shangri La, but I have saw a part of the easter egg.

I didn't know the map was in a time loop... and Brock mentioning Argatha too.... maybe we'll see them again. [i'll see them for the first time]

  2. Here's what I really think it comes down to: were you a BO1 Zombies player from the start, or a BO2 player? Is BO2 what got you into Zombies? If yes, then you'll see it more positively than if you got into Zombies on an older game.

    This.

People who started with Black Ops 1 like that game better, people who started with Black Ops 2 generally like the new-gen zombies game better. Also, a lot of people hating on BO2 are saying that the maps are "too easy to get to a high round". Personally, I just play zombies for fun and rarely go for high rounds, so that doesn't apply for me.

I prefer BO2 and give it a rating of 9/10.

    Pros

-HUD and graphics are a huge improvement over BO1

-Normal box weapons are much better than the BO1 guns

-Storyline is great, much more detailed

-Introduction of persistent upgrades and buildables made the game more exciting

-New gamemodes Grief and Turned give us more things to do with zombies

-Maps are more exciting in general (only maps I liked in BO1 were CotD and Der Riese)

    Cons

    -Absence of a lobby leaderboard

-Some of the wonder weapons aren't too impressive (Jet Gun, Paralyzer).

I'm sorry, I have to disagree with your opinion on the storyline being more detailed.

Black Ops 1's maps had hidden radios which would play a short audio clip of what lead up to the events of zombies. They gave true detail to the story and gave the pre-zombies storyline some much needed detail.

In Call of the Dead [i think] there was a radio where you heard what happened when Richtofen met Dempsey.

In Der Riese you could hear Dr Maxis using test subjects. One of the radios you learnt how Hellhounds came to be.

In Black Ops 2 we get nothing like that. Just some unknown group. All we can really do about those radios is theorize.

  3. Is it still a bit big now? [Resized from 800x600 to 640x380]

It's part of a project I'm working on...

I bet I could post this on the official COD Forums as a legit DLC 4 pic and some people would be gullible enough to believe it. XD

Also here's a few more questions:

How did the Nova 6 Crawlers become the Minions?

    What happened to Gersch?

What happened to the adventurers from Shangri La?

Why is Leroy "weird"? [Zombies don't attack him, he's huge and skinny but got the strength of the Hulk]

    Why is Brutus bald?

Why is Samuel the only character from the N4 to go through a physical change? [For those who don't get what I mean, in Buried his clothes are torn, he's quite bloody and his glasses are cracked]

  4. No it doesn't take place on that date, however time around the 4 are stuck on that date sense they are in hell.... It in actuality could be 2035 and still look like Dec. 31 1933... Stanley Ferguson states he was a guard at Alcatraz from 1933- 1949 I believe, meaning the ACTUAL date is past 1949.... But the prison still looks exactly the same....

Technicly, the map does take place on/after January 19th 1934, unless Billy, Sal and Finn were also "hell's recreations."

But also remember, they are/were constantly reliving the day. Regardless of what is occuring in the real world.

So the map could be occuring on November 7th 2010, September 25th 2087 or 22nd July 2013.

Sadly it's more than likely one of those mysteries that we'll never get told about.

Off topic: Is my sig a little too big?

  5. what do you mean different from die rise? if you are loading a multiplayer game then you see the comic book page, if you are playing solo then you see the cinematic cut scene...

If you look at the Die Rise loading screen, on the right side you see a tear, which is in the shape of a man's head and you can see part of Buried's loading screen.

On Buried's loading screen, the tear [Which should now be on the left side] has been magicly repaired, along with the part we saw on DR's loading screen being lighter and having a panel above it.

I think DBZ made a topic on it.

    E: Found it.

    viewtopic.php?f=152&t=33126

Another thing: When does MOTD take place? Its in hell, which never changes, but that could mean MOTD could take place anywhere after 1933....

MOTD takes place after January 19th 1934. That is when all of them were dead.

  6. Oh, I'm glad I found this topic.

    *rubs hands*

When people blurt out stupid crap over the mic, such as "OMG I GOT THE RAY GUN!!!" or "OH YES!! I GOT A SWARM!"

When people rage quit because they got downed once.

When you join a lobby mid-game in multiplayer and your automaticly shoved onto the losing team.

When people have penises as emblems.

When people use clan tags like SWAG or YOLO.

Squeakers. They annoy me so much.

    When people misspell characters names.

    Such examples include:

    Richtofen: Ricktophen, Richtofin, Ricktofan.

    Takeo: Takio, Tokeo

    Samuel: Samuele

    Marlton: Marleton

    Misty: Missy, Mistie

    Al Arlington/Weasel: Weasle, weasele, Arthur

When people glitch so they cannot be killed.

  7. Samuel's secret could've made a great EE for Buried. Such as doing Maxis' side would make Richtofen reveal his secret to the group.

Or it could've made the story very interesting.

"Who the F Is that?" It is probably no one of importance. It's like the K-Fee commercials. [Ghost car]

Here are some more unanswered questions:

What happens to the MOTD crew when they break the cycle?

    Why was Marlton at Nuketown?

Who was in control of the Alcatraz zombies?

Why is the Buried loading screen different from the small preview we got on Die Rise?

Did the events of MOTD have any effect on the story?

    Where are the old crew?

What is Russman's background? [i feel we'll learn more about this in DLC 4]

  8. My options:

Nacht Der Untoten: It was unexpected. After you beat the WAW campaign you see a creepy ass cutscene which ends with NAZI ZOMBIES in capital letters. Then you're thrown right into some run down old building without any clue what's happening.

Verruckt: So many scary things with this map. The fact you could hear crying and rattling if you turned the music off, the severed hand etc. Not to mention if you have your brightness all the way down....

Mob of the Dead: When I first played it, Brutus made me jump everytime he spawned right next to me.

    He still does.

The bodybags.... they alone add so much atmosphere and, this is probably just me, but the the screamer, though I've never done it. :D

MOTD gets topped off once you learn your already dead.

Buried: Not that scary but the first few times I travelled into the ghost house made me jump. Especially when I went through the bookcase and that bitch was already there!!

I've gotten used to it now, but a friendly warning to you PS3 players.

  9. I agree with you, we're more then likely going back to the O4. The demand for them has been so high, and even Vahn said he wanted to kill them off and bring back the O4.

Plot twist: The Pentagon 4 return... :o

    Best plot twist yet.

TBSZ got it spot on. I actually forgot about Russman dying in the Die Rise intro.

  10. I miss the Nazi's too. They seemed much more sinister than the "Civilian" zombies we have.

    Especially in WAW Verruckt.

But anyway, as Mocking put, the radios we're kinda interesting and put out a lot of info towards the storyline and made plenty of theories.

IMO, Zombie's story is getting too "OOC" as so many things still don't add up.

What effect, if any, did Mob of the Dead have on the story?

Why did Samuel's "Die Rise" voices stop?

    Where are the O4?

    Who are these other survivors?

    Which ending is canon?

I know if it was WAW/BO1, We'd probably have some kind of in level EE to those questions.

Like in COTD, we knew why we weren't the O4.

  11. Does he say anything though?

Also I imagine that if Maxis is the announcer in DLC 4, he'll have proper quotes in Buried.

Why? Remember when Nuketown came out, Samantha's voice was slightly different? Then when MOTD came out, it was normal?

  12. He could know more then he lets on, Russman insists that he is some sort of liar on Tranzit, but I never figured out why.

I think Russman says that as he just hates Marlton in general.

Also possibly because Marlton is quite smart, Russman thinks Marlton may know what's going on.

  13. I also have a question. What are the rewards for the end game?

Remember: They only last for the duration of the game. When the game ends, you lose the "rewards"

    Richtofen:

    Infinite Fire Sale

Perma Mule Kick [Hold 3 weapons W/Out Mule Kick, 4 with Mule Kick.]

Play as Richtofen[?] as he's in Samuel's body. I don't know if he has quotes for killing zombies.

    Maxis:

None as far as I know.

  14. What do you mean?

You can do the EE's in any order.

But for the "final" EE, you and all your teammates must have done ALL EE's [MOTD I'm not sure about] for the same character.

I.E: If you and 2 friends have done Richtofen on every map but the other guy hasn't then you can't push the button.

  15. Buried itself: 7/10

Loving the wonder weapons and Leroy's assistance, but I wish he was easier to control also hate some of the achievements.

Grief: 5/10 That damn trample steam is abused and there are many more rage quitters IMO than Green Run and Cell Block had. [seriously, I had to do Round 16 solo on Grief just due to rage quitters.]

Turned: 2/10 The map is too big for Turned. Very annoying if you fail to kill the human.

Overall the map is great to play and I love the way Juggernog is in a dead end and the way you can easily make it to high rounds.
