  1. ok, so I tried placing the shield in a few spots on the tank path in the mud and it wouldn't place, but I could place it on the pallets on the tank tracks,

I think the muds about the only place you cant plant it,

You can put the shield in the mud too. When i first played, you could not cart both the shield and drone, that changed.

The shield is a baby-sitter: run to a giants foot or fallen comrade, drop shield next to you (or they ignore it), run under foot or revive friend.

The game is very buggy...thank you theater mode for preserving my sanity when this game errs.

yep, yep you can, I only realy tried round front of jug was probs glitchy, since ive placed it just bout everywhere ( haven't tried the tank yet, would be 8-) )

  2. Last but not least in the Die Rise files Jumping Jacks are referred to as "leapers",

    file names are rarely reliable.

    how about patch notes then,..

Game Update Notes: Aug. 22, 2013

    Die Rise

◦Leapers no longer become stuck in the main elevator shaft

are we not going with official names anymore? its going to be perma perks, teddy, Leroy again is it?

we have an official name for 'jumping jacks',.....

    they are LEAPERS,..

been waiting to say this since the day i was told there NOT permaperks there persistent upgrades, so without further adue,..

    "get with the program people"

@MMX, these official names provide your trilogy with undeniable fact! treyarch names them what they want, throw us f'all bones, and its up to us to do the rest! chillax dude, half the people on this site cant even read a guide let alone try to tie up and connect the entire zombies story, and that is FACT!

my hat is still off to you mate,

    EDIT1+2:

ok so I may have to take back the "get with the program people" quote, bugger

im still convinced this is there official name but, jumping jacks is solid

also, as pinnaz explained that telixion explained,.. if that makes

    sense,

    heres it is, thanks pinnaz

    Die Rise

◦Leapers no longer become stuck in the main elevator shaft.

is this official name of jumping jack/nova crawler evolved or whatever?

They may just be "code names", but I'll take "One Inch Punch" as a proper name because there is no other mentioned.

As for the 'Jumping Jacks', Telixion was the person that got to name the "Leapers" Jumping Jacks. you can check this thread out or the video below explains why.

    http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=139&t=28591&p=275808#p275808

    They are called Jumping Jacks

    This video will explain:

    EDIT3: link to discussion viewtopic.php?f=100&t=36656

  3. And an official name - "One Inch Punch"

Players can properly use the Upgraded Staff melee after obtaining and losing the One Inch Punch Perk.

hmm, used the link and was going through the last patch notes, don't know if anyone noticed at the time but,

    Die Rise

◦Leapers no longer become stuck in the main elevator shaft.

is this official name of jumping jack/nova crawler evolved or whatever?

  4. The method that works well for me is to build the lightning staff as quick as possible and then upgrade it straight away.

I can generally have the lightning staff upgraded during round 8. I'll be starting round 8 in the crazy place, getting the kills for my lighting staff to finish its upgrade. It doesn't take the whole round to get the neccessary kills so, once it's finished, I'll then head out of the crazy place, say hello to the panzer (and by "say hello" I mean "murder it in the face with an upgraded lightning staff") and head right on over to the church to cleanse the stone.

Doing it this way makes getting the melee kills for the airstrike grenades super easy. You just use the upgraded staff to melee, and you have the added benefit of being able to instantly clear out the zombies with a lightning blast if you find yourself in a bit of a pickle. Easy!

And, unlike with the zombie shield, you'll still be getting points from your melee kills!

That's a great idea and way to do it! I bet you could do that before round 8 too.

this is probably the best way,..

if your not using your shield, its watching your back, so theres another bonus

  5. the airstrikes, will actually take out the hoard as well,

monkeys while great, just don't have the takedown power that the airstrikes do,

the airstrikes are also arguably easier to obtain than monkeys, givin that

there is no luck involved in getting them,

and as a bonus they cost nothing(the doors you are going to buy either way)

  6. Rezurection, if you can truly only get 1 get this, 5 maps is a no brainer, the 1st part of the ee on moon can be done solo and the map is pretty epic,..

Apocalypse, well if your not already saving for this you should be, it is Kaarayzee Siaackk,..

you know what,.. just flip a coin, let fate decide,..

  7. I haven't played Origins, but I'm assuming there's some biased votes there. You would only be judging on their Origins appearance, not any previous appearances, like this is the first time you're meeting them, and I'm sure most people didn't do that.

:D my vote was probably a little biased, but not for the old 4, Russians are just mad, love it, I mean who didn't like fighting alongside Reznov, or remember chasing the Nazis down that town street in WAW meagaphone blaring "ABANDON YOUR HOMES" good times,..

if their was no Russian, id prob vote for finn, love the quotes, or misty, I always seem to have real good games with her(prob coz her huge cans help reduce recoil :D )

**all the women in the forum  **

  8. you can definitely place it,

I've seen it being placed down?

Not quite sure how, seeing as it doesn't give you the option to when it's equipped. :P

I do it to get fresh ones all the time, just hit the right trigger,..

pretty sure ive placed one in the mud too, coz I know ive placed a couple on the tank route between jug and wind cave entrance.

maybe you cant place it on the walkways, you know those planks and such that are everywhere, im gonna go try some things, see if we cant figure this out,

either way it can be placed, il let you know,..

  9. one more thing I just noticed in game,...

after you get the first 2 lightning parts, if you run back to generator 2(tank station) and call the tank via the switch on the wall,..

it only cost 500 to call, when it gets there the next ride is free,

so only 1500 to build the lightning staff,

  10. It gives you 25 points, not costs you them. Also you don't have to buy the perk, it doesn't even need to be activated with a generator. Just lay down in front of it (only works once though)

thought I might have remembered wrong, oh well 25 points is still 25 points,..

Only the first 10 Templars give you points the rest are worthless, other than adding to your Kills.

Other than these little bits very good tips here thanks, I had the free PaP'd run on Round 10 but never earlier. I suck at head-shots.

bugger hadn't tried this one yet, will save a lot of time knowing this :D

    edit:

The ZombieShield seems to block his grapple hook. Not sure, but we think that is what was happening last night.

the shield definitely blocks the grap hook, you can hear the sound it makes when it hits, makes evading him that much easier

  11. heres a couple point saving ideas,..

-you could just forget about paping the mauser, the lightning staff will only cost you 2000 points, theres 3000 less you have to make,

-if you have time, all but the fire staff can be made ultimate by round 8, ice takes some luck for parts, wind parts is like waiting for the bus all over again, good times,..

-is their 115 zombies before round 8, free pap gun if your accurate,..

-if your couple hundred short, with a full health zombie, out run him back to spawn, he should appear behind a barrier, keep it that way, he takes aboard off you put one back on,..

-still short,.. got a shovel don't you, dig up a new zombie then point whore him,..

-ive heard a rumour somewhere round this site, probs the Did You Know Origins edition post, im not sure is true, but apparently if you go prone after buying a perk it costs you 25 points,

-save 1 zombie from round 1, when you power up the 1st generator, keep hopping on and off so it doesn't fully charge, Templars are only worth 10 points, but they don't stop coming

  12. Any ultimate staff. U press left on the d pad aim and revive, just like krauss refribulator. (Incorrect spelling I'm sure)

    awesome, thanks mate,..

I suppose an icon shows up in your equiptment that I haven't noticed yet

O_o didn't know you can revive with the staffs

until the other day id had the ultimate staves but, didn't even know you could charge the shot, my first time was with the ice staff,... WOW 8-)

  13. If your playing solo you can't have 2 turbines to be able to Pack-a-Punch.

you only need 1 turbine to pap in transit, just sit it outside next to the outhouse, their is enough time to run from power to town, and back again if you so desire,

but then again if you don't build the turbine you cant upgrade the bus or pap,

lucky this isn't map specific :D

  14. I had to vote for quickrevive, im a team player, its almost instant, even with a train up ya ass it can be done, however,..

I think close second from headshot, extending the life span of bullets is very handy.

I also have 2 honourable mentions, for controversial pu's

jug - not for me, but for 1 or 2 mates I love to game with, that have a hard time holding onto their perks, this realy makes a difference early, allowing them to have a far better experience and more fun, not everyone can dodge that notorious double slap,

tombstone - also for them, Its devasting losing those hard earned perks, it can affect morale, this realy can help the new guys and those mates who love the game but just aren't super soldiers yet,..

these 2 pu's are a godsend for them and many others,

so thankyou treyarch for giving the pups the ability to run with the wolves

  15. happened to me the other day, and several times before that( lose a tally or gain tally) it is sadly quite common,..

Been trying to get the knife..

on my quest for knife rank( had to commit myself to this task fully to achieve it) I was booted from a game, and when I came back there she was the knife,

I played probs 15-20 games on die rise(fast), running till bout 24, then just quitting with no downs, to get my k/d ratio up to 70, this isn't the only factor but this is the only stat friends had better than me, so went to work, once my k/d was over 70, I changed tactics to pb high rounds,

the next 5 games or so were my biggest ones and quit each one couple rounds past the last, by this stage my k/d was nearing 80 and was confident I could have a game with my semi-noob mate without too much effect  we got booted on round 3 and when we came back in my knife was up :?

ok all that hard work and i get rewarded for being booted from round 3,..

just try not to have any bad games,(bad=k/d less than 70)

oh and if you hadn't guessed already, i had to do it solo(a more contolled environment)

    hope this helps,
