  1. King Jaq said in his Round 82 Town video that each round past 75 was taking 5+ hours. That's simply ridiculous.

Personally I never plan on playing past Round 50, because I feel like once you reach that round, you've essentially "beaten" the map. Any death after Round 50 would probably be due to a stupid mistake or inconsistency in one's strategy. Just my opinion.

  2. Farm is actually easier than Town is terms of controlling the zombie spawns. If you stay instead the farmhouse (the one with Double Tap), zombies only spawn from 3 windows: the 2 inside the farmhouse, and the window at the end of that corridor-type thing. So you kill all the zombies while you are standing inside the farmhouse, and the new wave should mostly spawn in that one location.

However, there's really no easy way to do this on Town. Once you hit 40, you can't really kill the zombies fast enough with the Ray Gun to utilize any spawn control tactics. I've friended quite a few PS3 CodZ players and the highest round on my friends leaderboard is 45.

@perfectlemonade, what routes/guns did you primarily use to get to 50 on Town?

  3. I'm wondering if anyone on these forums has reached Round 50 on Town and/or Farm? This goal seems much more difficult than getting to 50 on Die Rise or MotD. For those who have reached 50, how long did those two maps take you? Also, what routes did you run, and what guns did you use?

I got to 42 on Town today and the game time was 156 minutes. I bet it would have taken at least another 2-3 hours to reach 50? It was getting really tedious killing the zombies at that point. It took two full clips of MnS ammo just to kill one horde. I ended up just using the PaP'd DSR 50, but even that was quite slow.

  4. It's actually not that difficult to get into a 2 or 3-person lobby. To create a 2-person game, for example, each player just logs into another dummy account; that way, the lobby is full with 4 players and no one can join. Then, everyone ready up, and when the countdown gets to 1, both of the dummy accounts sign out. This works every time.

And obviously the reason why rounds do not count on leaderboards after a person leaves is because they have separate leaderboards for 1-4 players, unlike in Black Ops 1, when it was all just co-op leaderboards.

  5. i use a spawn abuse,i start in the top of the bar every round wen zombies cum in i jump off,WALK AROUND the lava wait behind pap 4 zombies to catch up,now i run across lava going bak towards bar so zombies follow since the fire weakens them, thn kill them in bar top or bottom this causes all zombies 2 spawn in bar or behind you all da time as long as ur n bar wen u kill them, idk how to post videos bt if ur really interested n seeing how this works u cn add me and ill show u n theater mode,i truly believe this is da safest n quickest strategy

I sort of do this, however I don't go to the top floor of the bar because jumping off causes you to take damage, as well as there's always the possibility of falling right in a group of spawning zombies. Instead, just kill each horde in the bottom area of the bar with either Mustangs or Ray Gun, then run out the front entrance and horde and repeat.

  6. This is outstanding work! I will definitely be using these strategies to get to my goal of Round 50.

One question though: For those high-round trap strategies, would it be too early to start using them at Round 40? I know in the guide you mentioned starting it in the high-40s, but I was wondering if you ever tried doing them at a lower round.

40 is right at the edge. You can do it at that round, but it's not the most effective.

And Rissole, I mean, it can help just pick off stragglers, but really, the tomahawk achieves the same thing, so it's kind of redundant to get the spork. I'll get it most of the time because you feel like a complete god when you have it.

Just wanted to let you know I got to Round 50 today all thanks to your guide! I used your Strategy A starting from Round 40 and it worked really well! The spork and redeemer really help in fending off zombies on that infirmary staircase while you're waiting for the acid trap to finish up. I only got downed once from 40-50 because a ninja zombie that I didn't see blocked the stairs after I turned the acid trap on

  7. I don't remember, perhaps a month or two ago? This theory could be pretty easily tested by creating a new account and playing nothing but Grief/Turned and seeing if your rank increases. I may do that because my friend has a one-bone account he never uses.

  8. If Grief and Turned don't count at all, then I guess the Overall/Versus K/D's won't matter at all as well? Guess it's only relevant to look at Co-op K/D then. Good to know. Although I have a couple people on my friends list that play almost nothing but Farm Grief and have ranked up just because of that. So maybe they do count, albeit not as much as before?

And if you care about your stats, why'd you play so much Turned lately?

  9. Grief games honestly aren't meant to be very long. Most of them do end at or before round 15, unless you're playing Town and no one is smart enough to EMP jugg. As for playing against skillful players, it's only happened once or twice on Farm and Town. Haven't really played against good players in Cell Block yet.

  10. Thanks to everyone for the advice! It's really helpful. However, I ended up deciding not to make a fresh account. I figured trying to stat whore just to get shotguns is pointless. I would probably get really pissed every time I go down, which would suck all the fun out of playing zombies. Might as well just take this game for what it is, a game :)

  11. I've said it many times and I'll say it again, you're overall K/D ISN'T what counts for rank: your co-op and versus K/D's are analyzed separately. Why else do you guys think they made that distinction in game? Co-op K/D is what really matters. Versus K/D is irrelevant, as long as you have a positive record on Turned/Grief maps, you can play as much of those game modes as you like.

A personal example: When I acquired my knife rank, my overall and co-op K/D were both around 100. After the first DLC dropped, I played over 50 games of Turned that first week, and my overall K/D dropped below 30. I probably got nearly 500 downs from just that week. My rank didn't budge. The reason I believe I didn't get de-ranked despite all those downs was because I was winning most of my Turned games (I'm currently like 80-10), and my co-op K/D was still going up.

In general, it's very difficult to get de-ranked once you achieve a rank, unless you purposely try to screw up your stats.

Cliffs: Stop worrying about stats/downs, just have fun

  12. Hey guys, I'm trying to get the golden spork but I'm having difficult with the first step. I've been to the bridge (I spent two rounds there trying to get the upgrade for hell retriever but that didn't work either) And i have the acid gat. When I try to throw the retriever it won't go into the cell. Only once has it gone in and it hit the wall above the poster. I know all the steps but I can't get past the first one. Is anyone else having this problem (I play on ps3) or is there something I'm not doing?

I've successfully gotten the Golden Spork on PS3, so there shouldn't be a glitch or anything.

  14. There's a fine line between challenging and frustratingly annoying. Ithink we can agree we play zombies to take a break from being 1000% on edge from multiplayer.

A lot of us don't even play multiplayer, and some of us bought Black Ops 2 solely for the Zombies game mode. I actually treat multiplayer and zombies the opposite from you: I take zombies more seriously, and in multiplayer I just troll people in Search and Destroy and League Play

  15. Verified, there is the sliquifier, those two and then dual ray guns. But i have to say that one of them looks extremely similar to the vector with an acog scope so... IDK what to think of it, i mean MAYBE. But i guess were just going to have to wait and see if they are.

    SMGs can't have ACOG scopes, so I don't think that's a Vector.

  16. I used to make sure I always had the "perma" jug and revive, now I never do. Not that I care about down, I just care more about accurate stats, I have a hundred or so downs from just wanting persistant revive, just to lose it because someone wants to look around while I try to revive lol.

I just pretend they don't exist.

If you use a guest account to get perm revive, no downs should be added to your account.

Funnily enough, I've kept my perm revive for almost 4 months now. Guess i'm just lucky  Although perm jugg is too easy to lose. I've accrued a lot of downs from getting that perk numerous times.
