  1. Good summary of all the missing elements of Die Rise. It was indeed amazing, but like all amazing things, it can be improved. Maybe it's just my opinion, but I think that Who's Who could be added to this list; I really disliked the Perk! I feel like they could've added a much more useful Perk, or maybe brought back Tombstone.

Good point, Who's Who sucked, along with that, the Easter Egg reward was rather terrible itself... all perks, but NOT permanent... I may add that later.

  2. As the title states, I think Die Rise was good. Amazing in fact! There were just a few minor technical things that I feel needed to be addressed...

    1. Solo Easter Egg

To all you lone wolves out there, don't you miss the amazingness of the Call of the Dead Easter Egg? I sure do, no relying on not only one, but THREE other teammates to be good and experienced can be kinda difficult...

    2. Voice Volume

This has been an issue for me since Call of the Dead. You CANNOT hear the character's quotes, which for me, gives zombies a lot of its charm. AT LEAST MAKE RICHTOFEN AND MAXIS LOUDER!!! If you go into the options and turn down the Music and SFX volume, you can STILL hear the zombie screams louder than those important quotes or cues in the Easter Egg. PLEASE CONSIDER ZOMBIE VOLUME UNDER SFX

    3. Money Management

Die Rise brought a little of this back, TranZit completely ignored this, money management. Maybe up a few 750 doors to 1,000 to 1,250 to add a little challenge, make new guns a bit more expensive. Money Management was key to making black ops 1 zombies magic, at least for me.

    4. Theatre Space

Now, if you're on this forum, you're probably here for one thing: Easter Eggs. And LOTS OF EM! Add more zombie theatre space, I've made videos of both sides to both maps and I'm almost full... and there're more Easter Eggs on the way!

    5. Re-doable Easter Eggs

This isn't a huge issue for me, but I remember back on Tranzit, I did the Richtofen Easter Egg, and was bored without it. I play zombies mainly for those Easter Eggs that make you have to think and conserve your money. Now, true, I can just do Maxis and then redo Richtofen, but where's the freedom of choice in that?! This isn't a big issue for me.

    6. Mystery Box

Die Rise added little to nothing in the Mystery Box. No new box-exclusive weapon, no new Tactical, nothing! Every map adds a new Wonderweapon, and I'm not counting the Sliquifier! Gersh Devices would've been SO cool on this map, they could teleport you do other floors, buildings, unopened rooms, but instead they added a buildable that can be three way obtained by glitch for the money it takes to open a couple 750 doors and 1,000 door that was necessary anyway.

    7. Perks

Alright, there are two major complains that I have, one offered by the community. First complaint is the Who's Who perk, brought to my attention by "brett307". Who's Who is a pretty neat idea: when you go down, you get to revive yourself or run around, similar to a second chance mode. Well, here are a couple of reasons brought to my attention by the community:

    --------

-you only get the M1911. Nothing special... especially if there's a hoard of zombies coming for you.

-in solo, if you have Quick Revive and Who's Who and you down, you go into Who's Who mode. Well, if you die in that, you lose. Quick Revive doesn't kick in or anything, you just die and it's game over!

-Who's Who isn't even helpful for the Easter Egg! Remember the Vr11 in Call of the Dead? USELESS, but at LEAST it was used in the Easter Egg. Who's Who... not so much.

    --------

My second perk complaint is the "reward" for completing High Maintenance; the map's big Easter Egg. You get all perks. After I saw my perk bar filling up, I was excited that they brought the permaperks back, and I downed my self just for the heck of it! Well... the perks aren't permanent. It's easier to just knife the crawler things to get perk bottles...

So you guys, what do YOU think Die Rise lacks and what can be added in later maps to improve? If you agree or disagree with any of my points, let the community know! Who knows? Treyarch may incorporate some of our ideas for updates to Die Rise or future maps.

  3. Die Rise

    Great Leap Forward

    High Maintenance

    Step 1: Get sniper (SVU)

Step 2: Turn on the power

Step 3: Stand on 4 golden symbols on elevators simultaneously

-First one in power on the left

-Second one down ramp from roof

-Third and fourth ones in flinger room

Step 4: Jump on symbols in proper order

    (locations)

    -M14 room

-room under SVU next to elevator

-drop off next to Richtofen dragon

    -room above Ak74u

Step 5: Snipe balls out of dragons' mouths (Richtofen's and Maxis's)

    RICHTOFEN

Step 1: Shoot Sliquifier a bunch of times at balls under lions' feet until they spin

Step 2: Build 4 flingers and place them on Zombie symbols facing tower

    -one next to M14

-one before ramp leading to tower

    -one before camping spot

-one on balcony next to tower before falling off

Step 3: Feed zombies into fingers

    MAXIS

Step 1: Stuhlinger MUST get ballistic knife from the box and pack a punch it

Step 2: Kill tons of zombies in Buddha Temple

Step 3: Down Russman (by zombies)

Step 4: Stuhlinger MUST revive Russman by the use of pack a punched ballistic knives in Buddha Temple

Step 5: Place four flingers on lion symbols on ground

Step 6: Take balls from under lions' paws and place them on the flingers

    MAXIS AND RICHTOFEN FINAL STEP

Finale: Galvaknuckle the tower's corners in order dictated by mahjong tiles

The side of the tower with the mahjong tile is north. All tiles either have a character or a number, with a color on them. The symbols dictate the North, South, East or West side of the tower, whereas the number indicates what order to galvaknuckle the tower. The color of the print on the tiles is VERY important. Say North (the one always on the tower) is red, and you find a red number two. That tells you that you hit the North side of the tower second. These tiles are scattered all across the map, as soon as I find a link to the locations of all the tiles, I'll post it!!! NOTE that a tile with a dragon figure on it is the number 1

  4. It seems like the two main playable characters here are Samuel and Misty, Russman and Marleton just bring sidekicks. It WOULD make more sense if Misty was reviving Marleton, seeing that Samuel's more of the antagonist. Personally, I think Maxis is going to end up being more evil than Richtofen, but that's just me.... :P

  5. I was playing solo Die Rise, and I was knifing at round one. I died (yes, at round one) and right when I died, I saw a green flash and Stuhlinger said "what does this mean?". NOW I AM 3 HITS TO KILL INSTEAD OF 2!!! Any ideas on how I got this?!?!?!? Once I find out, I'll update this post!

    UPDATE

So it's rumored that Perma-Jug (or Persista-Jug;) ) is lost by surviving to round 15 or dying by fall damage. Can anyone confirm? It's still largely unknown how it's gained. Keep it up with ideas guys!

  6. I'm 95% certain that the power station will be our next Turned map. ;)

But it's such a ridiculously small map...and it's all nothing more than a very thing circle if you think of the layout. Have one zombie behind the human player while on awaits him on the lower ledge/top ledge. It just screams murder.

Diner isn't that much bigger than the plant!

Nacht Der Untoten Turned would be cool, but the whole map. Cabin and Obelisk Tower Turned... not so much!

  7. From spawn, you buy the first door. Turn left, and buy the next door down the escalator and into the PDW room. Across the room in a broken display is the new Navcard!!!

This new Navcard does NOT work on the Tranzit Navcard Reader. I've tried.

  8. Hello guys, I was playing Die Rise with my friend earlier and we were waiting for Mulekick to come up an elevator. He was distracting the last zombie, so, I decided to text someone. I stopped moving for a split second, and when I finished my text, I saw a green flash of light and my character (Sam) said something about how he wonders what happened. I have no idea what I did or what the perk does, and I don't know if I still have it (you lose barricades and dead shot every game). Any ideas guys???

  9. With Die Rise out, I'm sure most of us are looking for some Easter eggs! It's confirmed that Samuel still hears Richtofen, and you hear Richtofen speak after you turn the power on, similar to Green Run. Unlike Green Run, Ruchtofen does not compliment the player upon completing the Navcard Usage Machine. In solo when you play, there's a cutscene where the voices whisper to Sam and Sam mentions "the rifts". During gameplay as Sam, you also hear Richtofen making different noises, similar to how in some of the past maps, when you played as Richtofen and held still, you can hear the voices inside his head. Any thoughts?

  10. Just thought I would mention that its coming out 11Am GMT+0 so its easy for everyone in other countries to work out the times around that.

    Thank you for this! :)

Haha, I love how after tonight, my 30 minutes of fame on this thread are gone! xD

  11. Ah, so now my insomnia finally comes in handy. Thank you, Jeebus, for this plentiful gift.

But in all seriousness, thank you for posting this up. It is very helpful. :)

Of course, haha, and I understand insomnia bro, gamer's best friend!

  12. Well, I'm sure we've all had the question, what time Die Rise gets released, SO, here ya guys go!

    EST: 5 a.m.

    CST: 4 a.m.

    MST: 3 a.m.

    PST: 2 a.m.

Of course, there's always that agonizing hour that we all have to put up with downloading it (up to 3 hours *cough Ascension*), but I'm sure our fellas at Treyarch made it worth while! Here's to another great DLC thanks to our men and women at Treyarch!

  13. Well, my other Revolution achievement guide got removed, but there're still a good couple Turned Achievements!

    ---

    Polyarmory-

In Diner Turned, get a kill with each primary weapon in a Public Match.

    Monkey See, Monkey Doom-

In Diner Turned, retrieve a chained Cymbal Monkey in a Public Match.

    I See Live People-

In Diner Turned, kill the human while its decoy is in play in a Public Match.

    ---

Not much to discuss, but I WOULD like to bring up one idea, the achievement descriptions say "in DINER turned". This could mean more Turned maps in the future because Treyarch felt the need to specify the map. Anyways, just a thought!

  14. can anyone type the quotes in question? I dont watch these kinds of videos to avoid spoilers

A few of these quotes are

"You know, I used to be in your shoes? Then I became an all-powerful omnipotent being!"

"You know, I never liked how that little brat never told us how anything worked. So the secret to survive is to -inaudible jibberish-. Haha, and that's how you win!"

"Now which one of you is going to take care of that little bastard while everyone else runs around?"

"Hmm, let's see. Ahh, I can help you up and over pretty one, this is how she did it. I always knew she was cheating!"

There's plenty more, none of these quotes are actually heard ingame, but they're still in the ingame files.

  15. I'm sure we've all found ourselves listening to the ingame quotes on Wiki or YouTube at at least one in point in time. If not, here's a YouTube link (this is not my YouTube) to all Richtofen quotes found in the ingame files:

    http://youtu.be/VkgZ8wjpjek

If you listen, there're TONS of quotes that haven't even been heard before, so what does this mean? Further advancing the Easter Egg? If you pay attention, all ingame quotes are slightly muffled and less echoed, so I'm pretty sure we can cross off the unheard quotes for Easter Egg purposes. If not an Easter Egg then, what can these quotes be used for?

I have a theory on a future game mode that can involve five players, four survivors, and the lucky one left out gets to play as Richtofen controlling the zombies. The goal of the survivors is simple: last as many rounds as you can fighting the undead. The player who gets to be Richtofen will have an overview, similar to Dead Ops Arcade, but control the zombies like you would control your teammates in Strike Force Missions. The more zombies killed, the more powerful the player who's Richtofen becomes, being able to spawn hellhounds or other special zombie types.

This seems a logical idea due to the unused ingame quotes, post if you have any comments or ideas, who knows, Treyarch may just incorporate some of our ideas!
