  1. @InfestLithium Good stuff.

    Here's some things I couldn't figure out:

The biggest hole in the Phone Guy = Purple Man theory is that the events leading up to the demise of both are radically different and even contradictory when compared.
We know the Phone Guy during his final moments holes up in a back room of the restaurant, while recording his final message to you, one of the animatronics (presumably Freddy) tries to enter the room by repeatedly knocking on the door, then after a minute or so Freddy enters and starts playing his song right before killing Phone Guy.

However the FNAF 3 Death Minigames show us the Purple man dismantled all the animatronics before he died.

Another thing is the newspaper clippings in FNAF 1 mentioning the Missing Children Incident.
First of all, they state that two children went messing after being lured to a back room by someone wearing one of the suits. Video surveillance quickly led to the identification and arrest of the suspect. Another article mentions the disappearance of 3 more children, bringing the total up to 5, and also mentions the incarceration of the suspect.
Since the incident happened on June 26th, it's safe to assume this is the cause for the FNAF 2 restaurant to first close. It also matches perfectly with that Phone Guy says during Night 5 of FNAF 2; that someone used one of the suits and caused the animatronics to malfunction.

The thing is, if the Purple Man was apprehended shortly after the killings, there's no way he could've still been working with the company in FNAF 1, or have the ability to go back to the restaurant to dismantle the animatronics in FNAF 3.

The main reason we believe Purple Man returned to dismantle Freddy Chica Bonnie and Foxy is to destroy any evidence that would link him to the murder of the five children, but if he was already convicted for said murders, there would be no need for such a thing.

Unless they got the wrong guy, and the Purple Man has always been afraid of them finding this out. Which is the real reason he keeps coming back.

  2. First off, the Gunsmith allows you to add official in-game camos (red tiger, sahara, etc like you would in CaC) and player-made camos called paint jobs to your gun. Next you can choose the attachments for your gun. In total you can have up to 6, and each attachment has their own list of variants that change the looks of said attachment on your gun.

Think AW's gun variants, but per attachment and purely cosmetic.

  3. Chances of them remaking them are very, very slim.

As Lenne said, go with Shangri-La. Easily the best one by far, especially for solo games.

Ascension is like Buried but slightly better. Way too easy though. CoTD and Moon can be fun with friends, less fun on solo. Nothing beats Shang though.

Playing any BO1 map with randoms is a joke.

  4. It'll go on for as long as it makes financial sense.

@Matuzz of course it's all on a case-by-case basis, and more complex games like let's say Shadow of Mordor with its advanced Nemesis AI System will have to compromise more to be able to run on both console generations. (The Nemesis System was cut for last gen consoles)

But this is Call of Duty. Aside from graphical fidelity and visual / rendering special effects, there really isn't  anything in CoD that's so technically complex and advanced that it absolutely cannot be handled by last-gen systems.

  5. Not sure why, but I see (outside of here) people hating on this game if it comes out for the 360/PS3 ADDITIONALLY, as in the next-gen consoles STILL get the game. Does no one want the last consoles to get as much fun either? Does it really hurt other players to allow another person who doesn't have the console to enjoy the game?

Like hell, I'm still enjoying AW on the 360.

A lot of it has to do with limitations. Even if you port it, you still have to regulate it and keep track of bugs for all 5 versions of the game. That's much easier when there's only 3 versions of the game. (Not including wii/wii-u)

Last-gen hardware Limitations don't mean shit to triple A franchises like CoD. It's the latest buzzword for people to justify the current console hardware simply not being able to do 1080p/60fps and developer laziness. The "Hey, the current-gen version was handicapped by last-gen consoles guys" excuse is getting really old now.

If BO3 is cross-gen, Activision will just get another studio to develop the last-gen versions, (see: Rise of the Tomb Raider) any grandé feature that simply cannot run on 360/ps3 hardware will get cut / severely changed.

As for regulating it and keeping track of bugs, that's what they get paid for to do.
