  1. It's not made up btw. It's a fact that it is extremely rare on survival maps.

The chances of getting a certain gun out of the box are measured on a 1-10 scale. (1 being very common. 10 being very, very rare). The Raygun is an 8/10 if I'm not mistaken. On all maps. I don't see how the Mark 2 has different numbers on different maps, this has never happend before.

The way I see it, it's just another one of those hoaxes floating around like the 'dolphin dive on eachother in order to increase the number of powerup drops'.

  2. I feel like we'll get an Metro 1/Last Light situation here. (without giving anything away)

At the end of the first Metro game Artyom (the player) was given a choice that would result in two drastically different endings (Ending A and B). Now in the sequel; Metro Last Light, the game basicly went with 'in our game - Artyom has chosen Ending A' B was considered non-canon. I think in Treyarch's next game we learn that our crew sided with Maxis all the way through and now they'll have to find some way to save Earth.

This way, the towers served a purpose. They gave us the chance to experience two different 'endings' to Zombies. And they set the stage for the battle against a real villain (sorry Doc) - Maxis.

  3. Nice idea. It's unlikely that this is the definitive end for Zombies though.

Treyarch's next project has been in development for almost a year now, and they even advertise Origins as "this next chapter in the Zombies Legacy". If it was the final map it would've made a whole lot more sense to call it "the grand finale of the Zombies Legacy".

  4. So with the new trailer out we've got a pretty good look at the re-design of our beloved O4.

I'd like to hear your opinions on the new design, like it? hate it? Here are my opinions:

(Click on the images for a larger view)

    Takeo Masaki

In my opinion definitely the best re-design. Takeo looks badass 8-)

    Nikolai Belinski

Rezno-err Nikolai. Nikolai looks alright, much more serious than before.

Let's see if that translates well into his script.

    Tank Dempsey

Actually looks a lot more different than I had expected. Nontheless I like Tank's new design.

    Edward Richtofen

Richtofen. Whoah. I can't help but smile everytime I see his new design.

  5. Second major update.

    -Buried title image added.

    -Billy Handsome quotes added.

-Richtofen Turned and Grief quotes added.

-Maxis and Richtofen quotes for Buried added.

    -Corrected several quotes.

-Corrected the spelling of several German words.

    Enjoy!

    EDIT:

During your time going through Die Rise, did you hear a quote from Marlton about a 3D printer?

Yes I have, he says "I assume that a 3D printer is contained somewhere within"

And secondly, did you happen to hear a quote from MJ on Die Rise that starts "Pavlov's dog, Schrodinger's cat,..."?

"Pavov's dog. Schrödinger's Cat. Somehow 'Russman's Monkey' doesn't have the same ring" is the quote.

I'll be sure to add these and more in the next update ;)

  6. This is a very common 'problem' amidst (gaming) communities.

Once something (lets say a new IP) becomes successful, any smart developer or publisher will try to build - and more importantly - expand upon the foundation of that game. (a franchise is born)

In other words, sequels arrive. Merchandise. Movie/TV Series licensing - You name it. Anything that'll help make the franchise's bigger and broaden the audience gets shown to the public. That's business marketing.

Now at some point during all this, a often small (relatively speaking) percentage of (dedicated) players will start to get annoyed by the developer/publisher's constant need for expansion of said franchise.

They often feel like the franchise has steered away from its roots, and/or come to conclusion that things just have become waay to complicated.

So they ask for the franchise to go 'back to its roots' - they ask for simplicity.

Problem is; Publishers, developers, they're all out there to get our money. Simplicity just doesn't sell these days. Well atleast it doesn't sell as well as fresh "new" content.

  7. What I can say is that some stuff in there looked very recognizable. That moon was definitely the one from Nacht, there was the stone circle thing from Shangri-La (or on the pyramid in Moon) and I feel like the number 2 on the wall was from the labs in "Five"...

I'm feelin' some classics here ;)

Just checked, the -2 is from Ascension. The circle thing is from Shangri-La and yes fullmoon from Nacht.

  8. Good news!

TL;DR: The link claims to have some DLC models too which may be classed as piracy. So I ain't risking it.

    Very nice Nathan!

Unless you're planning to use the models for something that can get you money, you won't have to worry about any piracy-related issus.

  9. Then I would suggest that the contestants upload two separate images of their logo. One in the original resolution and one resized to the requirements. Also in terms of the contest itself, perhaps let our users vote for a top three or five, then let the staff ultimately decide which design will be crowned winner.

  10. Interesting idea. We'd have to have some sort of generic guidelines:

    - must include "CoD:Z" or "CoD:Z Forum"

    - must be 81px x 81px

    - ... (any other guidelines anyone can think of?)

The winner will have their design showcased on the CoD:Z Twitter (obviously), and a special shout-out tweet? I mean, the prize itself is simply having your artwork displayed to all of our followers - but should their be a secondary prize (like the "shout-out", or something else?)

Perhaps have the winning logo on the forums for a selected period of time?

Too bad CoDZ doesn't regularly do something like monthly contests with a special Medal giving to the winner. Otherwise said medal could've been an option.

Just to give the winner some recognition not only on the Twitter account but on the forums aswell.

  11. When Leroy runs back to his cell after being shot, beat him to and and if you either have Booze or Candy he'll start following you like nothing happend. (otherwise he'll shut the door on you and you'll have to find the key again)

When someone goes down, put the timebomb down and immediately rewind time. Whoever was down will now magically be revived instantly.

    Did you know... on PC:

There's a 99.9 percent chance of Leroy gliching out at some point during you game. (Stuck, fall through map, game not registering that his cage is locked thus never spawning a key)
