I'll probably enjoy it no matter what, I always loved keeping up with the Easter egg hunts and trying them myself (albeit haven't succeeded since die rise :s)

I'm more interested in what setting it's gonna be, if the game is going to be a separate time era to zombies or not? And if it's going to go back to WWII or Cold War again! I think with the new tech, they could carry on with the dieselpunk awesomeness and make it really gritty and eerie.

While I don't want to start rumours but, my friend (who is a keen zombie player mind you) says he saw some random online wielding a "different, golden staff" that he's never seen before. I trust him entirely, but this was early on so I don't know if it was just an illusion :S

What if........Mob of the Dead is the cannon story? I mean sure she has a motd zombie, but, as far as we know that purgatory ACTUALLY happened unlike the other events apparently

here's what I get from this. Origins is a completely made up story by Samantha. it has nothing physically to do with the nacht thru buried story... but something had to spark her imagination. so i think she has overheard her father talking about some of these things or maybe has heard stories about her "heroes"

what we see in the ending cut scene is an actual scene prior to where we begin at Nacht, Verruckt, SNN, and der reise.

so samantha made up origins, but she made it up based on things that were already beginning around her

That starts the whole zombies saga from there!

Has anyone figured out what date the cutscene is set? That might be a big clue in how this is involved in things perhaps.

So many details in Sam's room from all the games, though one thing I couldn't work out is what are the tally marks under their names on the bed leg? Number of maps they've been in control??

I'm pretty sure "let go and the beginning will become the end" is about the Easter egg where you don't move at all from the start of MotD and you just die. The camera goes throught the ceiling and Samantha's laughing thing from Moon plays if I remember rightly

Those floor inscriptions are pretty tidy. They remind me of Shangri-La a little bit

I'm thinking perhaps the robot/ diesel drone thing is actually an early version of the super soldiers Group 935 were trying to create.

It makes some sense because the suit is sealed, so no 115 leaks out. Their skin has been burned off by the radiation and there are pipes feeding in more 115 to keep them going.

Oh shoot, of course the Hardened edition, I forgot. Still, it's possible they had the idea for Origins back then but didn't have the means to encorporate it into the story flow of the time.

I remember watching that about how they named Sam, I felt a but uneasy at how improvised that was, but also rather impressed that one of us had basically invented Sam!

Anyhoo, I've laid out my idea, I really don't know if there's any accuracy in it, and there's not really anything I can add to it now lol. We'll just have to wait for the map to see how there can be a huge robot in WWI!

Like you guys say, I'm not entirely sure that this has been planned since so long ago.

Although, thinking about it, that loading screen came out at the end of Black Ops, so it wasn't all that long ago in terms of maps released since then.

I could be entirely wrong lol, but I reckon they've had the idea for origins for a while, like CotD in the Der Riese boards as you say, Vhyl. :)

Robot = awesome, but how in 1914??

Consider NDU loading screen:

What if its Maxis, taking plans from Group 935 near the end of WWII to construct the robot in 1914 (or before) because there's no point building it when they've already lost.

He also makes the Mauser (I guess, from blueprints)

This means Origins is set AFTER everything that's happened so far, even through in time it's set before.

Edit: I know the cartoon shows him going to 1945, but that doesn't mean he went FURTHER back in time; thee blue stream seems to continue off the page!

I rewatched Roflwaffles Paris Catacomb video, and he talked about a gateway to hell in the catacombs, so I think you might be on to something EJ!!

What I'm thinking, something I've mentioned before, is that they're going to do more than one new map to wrap up the current splits in the storyline and so on, so maybe one is Paris and you have to open the gateway for the EE and then the next map is Agartha itself!

Thank you. Yes, Broken Arrow was mentioned in one of the Die Rise transmissions. There was also one from George Barkley, former CDC member.

Would it be a safe guess that the facility outside of Nuketown is Broken Arrow's base that got burned down?

Another thing, if someone burned it down because certain individual(s) (at least partly) caused the outbreak, could they mean Russman? He did leave because of the 'incident' as Marlton says.
